The food is definitely better than the service here but still needs some work or attention. From the outset, the service was a little lacking. The hostess didn't seem like she wanted to be there, leaning on the counter and staring into nothingness. But whatever, we looked past this and asked for a table for two as the menu looked interesting and inviting. We were seated right at the front and took a little while to be seen. We ordered a couple of drinks and an appetizer to share - the edamame dumplings. The dumplings arrived before the drinks did. The dumplings were really good though, the best part of our meal. The drinks, prickly pear tisane and Andy's Elixir. Both were just ok. For lunch we had a grilled chicken and mozzarella panini and the grass fed burger. The "panini" was definitely not a panini... it was a quesadilla which we probably wouldn't have ordered if it was accurately named. The sandwich wasn't bad but nothing to shout about. Unfortunately the kale side salad was a little overdressed and the dressing was too tart so we didn't eat it. The burger was definitely tasty (they describe it as umami, which it is) and the bun was very good. But it was overworked so quite dense in parts. Plus being a little overcooked it was good enough but not something I'd run back for. It was served with sweet potato hash which felt like it had been sitting in a warmer for a while and definitely needed a little more seasoning. On the service side, we stacked the plates between our two courses but both times when the server came over they didn't remove them until much later (making a small table more cramped). The dumplings were served to us by another server but our waiter didn't bother to offer black pepper or another spoon for the broth. We had to ask for these items. The restaurant was not full and they did a good job spacing tables out, having signs on which tables were sanitized. This was good to see. Before going back I'd wait for a few more reviews and maybe speak to a few friends who might have good experiences. Maybe another one of their seasonal menus might be better than this one. read more

What really made this a 3star though was the not so good service. It was the wife, baby & I, we sat down & looked at the menu, service came over and took our drink order, returned with drinks to then take our dinner order, then didn't return till it was time for the check. Someone else brought over our food, we were Not offered any water or if our drinks would like to be refilled. I've worked as a server so I was trying to give the benefit of a doubt however that type of service I cannot overlook. The food wasn't bad however for what we got, the price point was a little high. Wife got a wrap and I got a panini, I think both were roughly $15 and the non-alcoholic drinks we got were like $7-10. This seemed like a fresh, innovative grand escape in the midst of Easton Shopping Area. First of all, I noticed that they had a ton of customers, and a nice eating area both indoors and outdoors. I liked how bright it was, and while casual, it seemed somewhat classy as well. HOWEVER I feel that while the food items were very interesting and unique (I.e avocado/watermelon cubes combo and dragon fruit lemonade!) they were very overpriced for the taste. The food wasn't bad, but it wasn't very good to me, especially for the price. The avocado dish was tasty but small, but the plantains were way too salty, and the dish cost abt $13 USD. (Avocados and watermelon are both relatively cheap at the grocery store). The Korean noodle bowl was okay, but sort of too salty for my taste. Overall, it's not a bad place if you're looking for uniqueness, but I personally wouldn't suggest it, especially if you don't want to spend a lot on a meal. It does have many vegan/vegetarian options if you're looking for that. We visited True Food Kitchen for the first time, and we enjoyed it a lot. Then we went back again a couple of days later. The restaurant made sure the tables are properly distanced. When the weather was warm, the outdoor dining area was great as well. The restaurant uses the contactless menu and payment option. You can scan the QR code on your table to view the menu and select the dishes you like. The kitchen will receive your order, and you can directly make the payment afterwards. The app is still quite new, so there are some small bugs that need to be fixed by their tech partners. The server will assist you with any questions throughout the ordering/payment process. If it is your first time visiting this place, feel free to sign up on their rewards program! The disappointing thing was I found a piece of rubber band inside my hummus, but the server immediately apologized and replaced it with a new one. So delicious! First off...love the atmosphere. It's so soothing. The indoor/outdoor feel is refreshing. It's light and airy inside and it feels so clean! My daughter and I sat at the bar. The server was very attentive but was clearly having an issue with the other server that was helping at the bar. That makes it uncomfortable for everyone! That being said, he was super nice to us. When this place first opened up, we were super excited to come check it out. My friend and I came for lunch on a whim. The restaurant was quite spacious and I loved the aesthetic. I tried the turkey burger and it was so good. My friend got the spaghetti squash casserole which she said was good but was kind of a small portion. Great service in a safe, clean environment. I've wanted to try this place since it was slated to open in April 2020. Then the pandemic hit. We haven't dined in Ohio since the temperature dropped and patio seating ended. We had planned on ordering take out and was very surprised to see their patio open and minimal guests (most were inside) So we decided to give the patio a try. They designed this place perfectly. We sat on the heated patio, in 20 degree temps and felt very comfortable. They appeared to be following all the COVID protocols with spacing, etc. We liked that the menu was available on your phone with the QRS code. We were able to pay with our phone too, no dirty pen sharing or passing of credit cards. This restaurant concept was designed and inspired by Dr Weil and the anti-inflammatory food pyramid. Husband had the burger and sweet potato hash. I had the Korean noodle bowl with shrimp. Both were tasty. I had a cup of hot peppermint tea and it was outstanding. The menu appeared to have something for everyone, depending on their dietary requirements. Service was exemplary with the manager stopping to say hi and check-in. He gave us 2 soups but didn't charge us for it. Later. He asked me twice if I wanted another beer. I said no the 2 times. They brought it anyway but took it back when o said for a third time that I didn't order it. No big deal. They also brought a second margarita pizza that we didn't order and took it back also.
