The food was great but the service was atrocious. There was a drunk, loud, waiter who was really rude. He had blonde pigtails and was dressed like a twelve year old girl. He spilled my bowl of soy sauce all over the table and then walked away. He then gave us two rolls and just sloppily put one of them on top of a dirty plate. It was want even the same size plate so it sat uneven like a seesaw. I've never seen that before. The woman working randomly gave me someone else's credit card. I didn't even get the bill yet. When I told her she seemed shocked and started yelling the guys name throughout the restaurant. She also spilled water everywhere when I asked for a refill. It's too bad because the food was good. What a great spot! Place is a bit small and you have to park on the street. Once you walk in, you'll realize the place is nicer than it looks. They serve everything so quick and the chef is super nice. Sushi, and rolls wow! No words. Absolutely delicious, fish and all the ingredients taste fresh, and everything is so well prepared. After reading all of the positive Yelp reviews, I decided to come here for dinner. Although they take reservations here, I wouldn't fret if you forget to make one because the restaurant wasn't crowded at all ~ only about a quarter full. The service was quick and our waitress was friendly. There are a ton of rolls on the menu so you'll be sure to find something that suits your taste buds. As far as rolls go, we picked a bunch and my personal favorite was the hungry Steve roll. It has a ton of toppings on it from salmon to tuna to soft shell crab. You definitely get your money's worth with the amount of toppings on that roll. The rest of the rolls that we ordered (crazy, dragon, white dragon) were just average in my opinion. The rice didn't hold well and broke off easily. I also got a separate order of uni (sea urchin) and I didn't think it looked fresh at all. It was dark and wasn't your typical bright gold that you're accustomed to seeing. As far as the taste goes, it also wasn't as creamy as it should be. Ate here during lunch time. Ordered a Bento Box: The fish was fresh and the salad was surprisingly tasty with a light vinaigrette dressing. I tend to skip the salad at any sushi spot and bento box spots due to past bad experiences - but not here. The salad was made from a variety of fresh quality greens and tasted yummy. My friends ordered the salmon and the teriyaki chicken as parts of their boxes. The meats were well made, crispy with a bold flavor. This place is impeccable. Their fish is so fresh and they have a very wide sushi and roll selection. My friend and I stumbled on this restaurant on recommendation from a tattoo artist, and we went at around 5:30 pm without a reservation. We got immediately seated, which was nice, and the environment of the restaurant was clean and quiet (perhaps since we went a bit early). Parking is pretty limited, though, so I don't know whether I'd recommend driving there. I got a selection of sushi and my friend ordered a roll. I ordered four plates of two-piece sushi and that was perfect to fill me up, but this was a bit on the pricier side. FOOD: Toro belly sushi (5/5) - This was definitely my favorite one by far. I'm a sushi person as opposed to roll, so if you're not a huge fan of raw fish I wouldn't recommend ordering what I got. The toro melted in your mouth and there was just a hint of truffle under the bed of fish and on top. The one thing to warn you about is that this is market price, so definitely ask what the daily price is before you order! Salmon sushi (5/5) - There was a perfect blend of fatty fish and lean meat on the fish, and they were incredibly generous with the fish. I loved this fish, would definitely recommend as a safer option because who doesn't love salmon? Yellowtail belly sushi (5/5) - I'm not always the biggest fan of the cut of the fish I received, but this yellowtail was incredibly tender and not too chewy which is what I was afraid of. There was again a very generous fish to rice ratio, almost too generous since the bed of rice was so small. This tasted perfect with some soy sauce. Alba Alba Roll (4.5/5) - My friend got this fish alone and she said she felt satisfied upon finishing it. Getting a roll like this one is also probably the most affordable option that will fill you up as well. She said the roll was pretty good, and the fish was generously piled on top, but she would've preferred it to be slightly spicier and there was too much crunchy onion. Hye (5/5) - This was the most unique sushi I've ever eaten and I definitely recommend it even though it's a little pricier than your normal sushi. It's hard to describe the flavor precisely, but there's some sort of truffle oil that the rice is drenched and the fish is diced or something which makes the whole thing so tender. read more

I had dinner here last minute after shopping nearby at the Beverly Center. Outside, you could easily miss it because it's actually sandwiched between other shops and located on a pretty unappealing street. The inside has a cute design on the back wall but otherwise than that, it's pretty plain with not much decor or style. Food wise, for me, it's not really authentic sushi and felt more like a fusion. I had ordered sashimi, nigiri, and sushi rolls including rainbow roll and baked langostino roll. And while they were good, the quality of the fish and seafood weren't the best. At times, some were very fresh while other times they were a bit chewy and not chilled. Some rolls also had way too much sweet teriyaki sauce and glaze it really overpowered the fish. It didn't taste clean as I would've preferred when it comes to sushi. On a side note, as a sashimi lover, I was really hoping that they'd offer a sashimi platter but unfortunately you have to order individual pieces. Overall, I'd say food is decent and price is fair as it's only $$. As for service, our waiter was a nice young man, but at times, he forget to check back on us when we tried to place other orders and I had to flag him down. Then other times he was quite rushy in taking our orders, even though the place was pretty empty on a Sunday afternoon.
