If I could give this place 10+ stars I would. We were celebrating my friend Kenna's, Dad, Mitch's celebration of life, he had died a year ago and I didn't make to Spokane for the services. We wanted to start with his favorite drink, Harvey Wall banger, unfortunately they didn't have the Galliano liquor to make them, but the bartender was very nice. His name was Scotty and so accommodating and he had a great story about drinks from the olden days coming back to life which was fun to hear and we had a story about our childhood days. It was a great laugh and such a coincidence regarding the drink request. We decided on the espresso martinis which were so good we had two each and said, no matter what we say, we can only have two. We ordered the steak salad, I had to alternate mine since I was allergy to nuts and didn't like feta cheese so he changed for Gorgonzola cheese which paired perfectly!!! I really loved the view there with the pond and fountains such a classy view with the red patio umbrellas. I would have loved to sat outside, but it was 90+ degrees. I came here on a Sunday and it was not too busy. We were seated quickly with no reservations. I got a specialty drink from Valentine's Day, which was a chocolate strawberry martini. It was very strong but delicious. We put our order in right away. Ordered the hot honey chicken sandwich and the Chicken Dijon. The issue I had was how incredibly long it took to get our food! It took a little over an hour to get our food even though it wasn't that busy. Maybe they had low staff but I wish they were apologetic for the wait time because we were about to leave after it hit an hour. I will say... the food was so delicious. The chicken was perfect. It was juicy, seasoned well, and I love how its chicken breast so it wasn't fatty and a good piece of lean meat. I would return again just for the chicken!! I would have ordered a dessert but decided not to due to the wait time. Maybe next time I will try it out if the wait time is better. read more

Strike 2! When you spend $185.00 for a dinner for two you would hope they would get it right OR ATTEMPT to make it right. We've eat here at least 50 times over the years. Wait staff is typically awesome, food typically great. Last two visits have been sub par. Steak like beef jerky over and under cooked. My wife ordered medium wagu which was way under cooked. I ordered ribeye medium rare which was way over cooked. Veggies and potatoes were not good. We LOVE this place but will only visit one more time. . p.s. the place was not busy. read more

Everything was amazing. We started with the Moroccan carrots appetizer. It was so good. We weren't sure what to expect with it but I am so glad we ordered it. Next we shared the black garlic filet. It was the most flavorful and tender filet I think I've ever had. We finished off with the drunken donuts which were wonderful. Not a single complaint. What a fun experience! I'd received an infusion next door, and being the coward with needles that I am, needed a wee break. We arrived just as happy hour began and ordered the fries to split, 2 strawberry refreshers, and an orange clove old fashioned. We brought friends from out of town for lunch. It's been a while since we've been, so we opted for a table on the patio overlooking the pond and waterfall. The cod tacos, bacon sliders and chef salad were delicious, our server was awesome and attentive. There are plenty of tables outside and so many more inside as well as an awesome bar. Staff is warm and friendly, there is currently a burger special happening and they also run a fresh sheet during certain times of the year. We were super excited to try this place with the promise of so many gluten free noms at my fingertips. We were immediately impressed by the view and appreciated the table we got facing the large windows looking out onto the patio next to the water. The restaurant is really large with high ceilings, lots of seating, and impressive floor to ceiling windows lining the wall facing the water. Service was awesome. They brought me out a gluten free menu that was literally a full menu. Appetizers, salads, entrees and desserts! We decided to share the brussel sprouts which came with a friend egg and they were pretty flavorful but underdone. For my meal, I had the crab mac n cheese but unfortunately didn't eat much of it. The crab tasted off and it was difficult to get through, so in the end I boxed it..then thought better of it and tossed it. Really disappointing too because I was so excited to dive into some forbidden mac n cheese made gf especially for me. The husband had a french dip and enjoyed his more than I did mine, but said it wasn't anything extraordinary. I loved the whole atmosphere of this place. The peaceful view, the large open interior, the friendly service, and especially the expansive gluten free menu items. It was so thoughtful that this restaurant line goes out of their way to make so many gf choices. The gf items even came out with a wood pick designating it gf so you don't have to wonder if your allergy got appropriately communicated to the kitchen. My absolute go-to for when guests are in town. Decent prices, dependable and polite service, great drinks. Just a solid choice, especially because there literally is something for everyone on the menu. The Wandermere location is especially pretty too!! It was a rare event due to her work and other schedules but was able to invite my daughter to lunch. Mostly because of location, she chose this Twigs in Wandermere, north of Spokane. It was a pleasant meeting, except for the food, service, and cost. On a positive note, the patio setting is truly beautiful, overlooking a pond with reeds, koi, and with well-spaced tables. The seats were reasonably comfortable and our server was pleasant enough. I must add that the overhead/background music was a little loud and not exactly dining music (not our "cup of tea"). With a lot of choices, my daughter and I oddly chose the same menu item, a "new" on their "handheld" menu, a "Harissa Lamb Smash Burger," with ground lamb, grilled onions, whipped feta cheese, fresh arugula, tomato, and lemon garlic aioli, on a brioche bun. (Never quite understand why anyone says "fresh" arugula.) As a side that came with the burger, my daughter had a small salad and I had the house fries. She had her burger "bun-less" and I had the brioche. She also ordered their Fig and Prosciutto Flatbread as an appetizer. We both drank only water. Things were slow, very slow, to come out of the kitchen, even the appetizer. My fries were bordering on warm. On a more negative note: Our burgers were fairly thick, almost an inch, and a bit overcooked for lamb. Even though I opted to keep the bun, we both ate our burgers with fork and knife, but my knife was barely up to the job. I did so because as soon as I picked up the "handheld," the "whipped feta and everything else gushed out all over my hands. I could have used a hose to clean my hands. The burgers were VERY dense and tough, even for my knife. I couldn't tell you if the other items were actually there because I couldn't see or taste the individual components. I did see a couple of leaves of arugula, but in that mess, were they "fresh?" And the harissa seasoning was overpowering, extremely salty. My daughter's assessment of the meal was the same as I have written. Then came the check. Even though I knew the prices from the menu, it was a little unnerving considering this was lunch, took quite a while to get, and was as described. Two burgers, one appetizer, tax, and tip came to $73. Water was complementary. One last note: I really dislike paying by electronic handheld and having a server stand there staring while I am considering the "added value" (TIP) of the service. read more

Definitely a little irked when I noticed that several new parties that entered with a party of 2 were sat immediately. The hostess assured we were to be seated next. Once we sat down, our newly "wiped" down table was noticeably sticky. We ordered the smoked salmon artichoke dip as a starter. It was good, not anything amazing. Unfortunately the service and kitchen was sooooooooooo slow that I had to get the rest of order packed to go. All that and we still ended up missing a whole entree after being assured everything was bagged. I'm glad I double checked before leaving. The pesto chicken margarita was dry and lacking in seasoning. The truffle penne was a disappointment. I was glad the truffle wasn't overpowering but definitely also lacked salt. They have a beautiful patio setting for summer dining, but after eating there a few times in the last two years with disappointment I thought I would give it more try. It was a birthday lunch with two other gals. I ordered the Insalada Mista salad with chicken. I just could not believe what I got for the price .The salad was just dumped in a pile on the plate.Chicken was probably made three days ago and kept in the refrigerator. It was so tough and so dry that I could hardly cut it let alone eat it. I had the same salad at the downtown location and it was wonderful. Something is really going on with the north side location. My friend and I went to twigs last week, it was my first time going and I truly enjoyed my experience. With Covid they put up a tent outside in the back with fires all around and Christmas decorations as well so overall it was a pretty cute atmosphere. My friend and I both had the Kalua pork and it was amazing, we even added on the Gorgonzola fondue for the fries which I recommend. If you are gluten free beware, they put the crispy onions on my burger even after I explicitly told them that I wanted grilled onions because I am gluten free and requested a gluten free bun. While at the restaurant we ordered appetizers and I didn't get a chance to eat my hamburger. when I went to eat it for dinner I opened it up to find the crispy onions. I did complain to the restaurant because I wanted to give them the opportunity to educate staff and realize that allergies are serious business for those of us who get ill. They said they would send me a coupon to eat again, it never showed up. This made me feel that they did not take my allergy complaint seriously. I came here for Mother's Day dinner with my family because last year's brunch was amazing. Everyone in our party of 5 was excited but our meal was cold, dry, overcooked and tasteless! The only thing worse then the meal was the check, almost 380.00! I cant believe how dry the salmon was and the primb rib have no favor, vegs were soggy. Its hard to ruin the dessert but but that was barely ok, we took it to go! On a positive side the waiter was awesome i gave him 40 for a tip because it was definitely not his fault. read more

We meet friends family here because we know the food and the quality is going to be good every time. We've been here for the Mother's Day brunch and they also did something for Easter both were very good the kids liked the bunny ice sculpture. Love the outdoor patio area that is waterfront if you're out there spring summer fall evenings they do have heaters out there it is closed in the winter but they have huge windows within the restaurants that look out it's beautiful I think recently they've had some new servers at Twigs that are learning the menu but they have been trained very well and are nice and courteous. They always update their fresh sheet which I've tried several times their menu always stays the same so if you're in the mood for something new try their Fresh sheet menu. I would say one downfall is this restaurant is super good and parking gets full fast. And if you want to come here for any special holidays you better have reservations because those also fill up fast. Definitely speaks about how good the food is here. read more

A waste of almost 2 hours! We sat there for over an hour with no food, we had ordered appetizers and soup/salads before our meal and never got any of it within that hour. Once everything came out, our apps came out at the same time as all our food, one hour later. Not to mention they completely forgot an entire appetizer that we ordered and didn't even realize it wasn't on the ticket. And as if it couldn't get any worse, everything was ice cold! We have four people and ALL our food was ice cold like they completely forgot about us. Then we talked to a manager, had to send all the food back for recooking, and when it came out, the steaks were almost completely raw. We couldn't even finish eating them. Not only did they NOT take care of our horrendous meals or from the time we wasted there, it was still almost $100 for food we hardly even touched! AFTER we had been sitting there for almost 2 hours! They gave us a small discount and that was it. Our server had no idea what he was doing and seemed super confused the entire time. The ONLY good thing about this place was the ambiance. Too bad the food and service was absolutely awful. Will never be going to this overpriced place for just basic food that you could find better at Applebees. Don't waste your time like we did. I was debating between a 2 and a 3 but the $90 tab pushed me to a 2. 4.5 - service was great and friendly, I know with minimum wage hikes restaurants have had to compensate with restructuring their server model - whole our server def seemed to be serving every table in the restaurant she was still very visible and prompt! 1 - the food. Mimosas - weak and iced tea served with a recycled lemon (it had raspberry or strawberry on it - hopefully not lipstick like my mom feared :) Margherita pizza - served warm with no sauce (which was outlined in the menu) BUT made with low moisture shredded mozzarella not fresh like the menu stated - informed server and hopefully message was passed on. Oh husband asked for some parm for the pizza ...... giant shaved pieces brought to the table ?!!? Signature burger and fries - fries were legitimately cold - perhaps placed outside on the patio before brought to the table. Burger size was large and tasty but the bun was falling apart much like maybe a day old bun? Monte Cristo- biggest offender and on the weekend brunch menu - sandwich was warm (generous definition of warm) and the potatoes were overcooked and cold (more patio victims perhaps?) and then there was no fresh jam as the menu promised ... when I asked the server said "oh well Sometimes it has jam sometimes not but I can get you some". What is the point of the menu?!?! If you're not going to make and serve per the Ingredients listed the What the @&$ is the point of the menu? Because of the above mentioned disappointment we passed on trying the Italian donuts for dessert. I'm mad because I loved this place and I feel sad that it will no longer make the cut for going to or recommending .... it's becoming so hard to find places that take pride in their food and service. The waitresss did offer to have the monte cristo remade which I declined because it took 25+ minutes for the meal to come out the first time and then I waited around to inform the manager thinking they would care but when approached acted as if I had caged them and listened politely but were wholly uninterested .... asked no clairfying questions or apologies for my experience and said "sounds like a lot of kitchen issues- I will def pass this on to the executive chef." Which is appreciated but I was looking for a mote vested concern or explanation as to why today was such an awful experience and should in no way reflect the norm here. I've been to other Twigs branch but this particular places is just average for me. Came here for a recent event and noticed majority of the service was promt and good. However, our server was mainly speaking to one person in our group and had to be flagged down by another friend just so she can make her extra orders known. Who knows maybe he was distracted by the big crowd? Towards the end, we had to flag a different staff who was kind and helpful in addressing our needs and concerns. We were served in a buffet style and I tried them all. There was Kalua Pork (taco), Turkey BLT, Insalada Mista Salad and Greek Chicken Salad. I am not a fan of blue cheese, however I got myself a second serving of Insalada salad despite the gorgonzola cheese on it. The Greek Chicken Salad reminded me of Chicken Ceasar Salad with few extra tweaks and minus ceasar dressing, but it was the winner salad on our table. The rest of the foods were just ok. The Turkey BLT wrap and Kalua Pork that was served with tortilla and sides were both salty for me. I added some sweet tomato compote, creole and gorgonzola cheese to the salty pork, and it gave a good balance and sweetness to my already salty palate. We also tried the signature fries, but it was also salty for all of us. We had to request a new one with less seasoning, and they were kind enough to replace it for us. Over all, the general consensus of our group, it was a luncheon of salty foods but thank you for that pitcher of Huckleberry Lemonade it was the saving grace. I had been craving a specific salad ever since I had it at the downtown location. Went here to have it and ordered it with blacked salmon. The salad didn't have as much flavor as I have had before and the salmon was super dry with ZERO flavor. I even had to add salt to it. It was definitely not blackened. I would have mentioned something since the salmon was an additional $12 but our server seemed very busy and didn't make it back to our table until we were done. Our drinks also didn't come until after our food. All around, my experience has always been better at other locations and not north side. read more
