Twigs Mezza Vegan!
David G.

Finally got a vegan menu!! Tried the Mezza, surprisingly very yummy, would definitely buy again. Cant wait to try all the other options they have eventually.

Such a lovely setting and great atmosphere. The service is always impeccable. They have many delicious cocktails on the menu, today I had a classic dirty martini. Perfect!!! I also enjoyed the Moroccan steak bites. You can never go wrong with their gorgonzola cheese fries. They have just the right number of appetizers, main course, and desserts to select from along with their delicious cocktails. This is a great girl's get together spot or date night. Enjoy the outdoor patio or the view from inside.

Came here with a large group for a birthday party, service was quick and attentive! Lots of great drink options and a large menu, the food was pretty good, and we love the Gorgonzola Fries!

The GF menu..its impressive

We were super excited to try this place with the promise of so many gluten free noms at my fingertips. We were immediately impressed by the view and appreciated the table we got facing the large windows looking out onto the patio next to the water. The restaurant is really large with high ceilings, lots of seating, and impressive floor to ceiling windows lining the wall facing the water. Service was awesome. They brought me out a gluten free menu that was literally a full menu. Appetizers, salads, entrees and desserts! We decided to share the brussel sprouts which came with a friend egg and they were pretty flavorful but underdone. For my meal, I had the crab mac n cheese but unfortunately didn't eat much of it. The crab tasted off and it was difficult to get through, so in the end I boxed it..then thought better of it and tossed it. Really disappointing too because I was so excited to dive into some forbidden mac n cheese made gf especially for me. The husband had a french dip and enjoyed his more than I did mine, but said it wasn't anything extraordinary. I loved the whole atmosphere of this place. The peaceful view, the large open interior, the friendly service, and especially the expansive gluten free menu items. It was so thoughtful that this restaurant line goes out of their way to make so many gf choices. The gf items even came out with a wood pick designating it gf so you don't have to wonder if your allergy got appropriately communicated to the kitchen. Overall it has a lot of potential, just on the day we were there the execution of the actual food fell short unfortunately.

The increased prices are so out of touch with the food and service. If you're going to pay those prices, go to a better restaurant.

I don't care if you're a local or a tourist but this is one of the best restaurant spots in…read moreSpokane. We called in for a reservation on a Monday night and thank God we did. The food was amazing. I would've been truly happy with the appetizers and the drinks alone (a restaurant should be considered amazing when all you want to do is eat all the appetizers on the menu). I knew this was going to be an amazing restaurant when I told the host the name on the reservation and someone snuck in and taken our table. So the starters were amazing, the drinks were wonderful, the people at the table next to us raved about the schnitzel. That was the only thing they would eat on the menu, but I looked over and they were tucking into a piece or two of their friend's pizza. My only regret well at least two is that I don't live close enough to go back there and finish eating all the appetizers as well as having a chance to try the desserts. This is a place that truly deserves recognition for the ambience the drinks, the starters and the main dishes. Get a reservation... Have drinks, starters a couple main course dishes and let me know how the desserts are. Hopefully, I'll be sitting at a table next to you sharing how much I love this meal.

First off, I was looking for an authentic Napoli style pizza. Like a fresh red sauce from crushed tomatoes and a beautiful chewy, pillowy, yet charred crust. The verdict: Wooden City is the winner! The crust is really really good! The sauce is a bright beautiful tomato sauce that looks like crushed tomatoes however, the sauce was lacking flavor:( I would give this pizza a 3 out of 5. The crust is a 4 1/2 star but the sauce lacking in flavor..brought it down to a 3. Cute place, very pleasant friendly staff..way friendlier vibe than Barrelhouse. The boys are easy on the eyes for younger girls on the hunt! Lmao Don't bother with the Margherita pizza at Barrelhouse. Thank God I only paid $12 for the Margherita Monday deal of half off! The crust was horrible! Dominos has better crust! Costco pizza's had a better crust! The sauce has flavor, very garlicky like fresh garlicky but more of a paste with a load of oregano in it. The cheese didn't have that fresh taste I was hoping for. However, they are known for their Detroit pizza's which I haven't tried but if it's the same sauce, I would pass. Not saying it's bad but it's just not MY cup of tea whether it's for a Detroit style or any pizza. Now you don't have to guess which place has a better Margherita pizza. I wouldn't even pay $12 at Barrelhouse for a marg. Would I come back, yes, if I were in my 20's.. lol but since I'm older and the food is more important to me...no...:/ But hey, maybe their other pizza's are better! I can see a salty pepperoni being good!

Excellent! Cucumber…read moresalad with an IPA beer. Great! I am attempting to cut down on food calories while enjoying a brew. Wow wow...the cucumbers were excellent, fantastic, superb. They are like overly fancy, to the max pickle. I'm not saying it's a pickle, because they are not "pickled", but, but, how do I say it....fresh, crunchy, tasty, with a good "kick". The flavor is abundant. The pepper lingers on your tongue after you finish. Glory! Try it with a beer. I'm telling you. You will be satisfied with this starter. This is all I ate. I'm losing weight. Have to look good for my new lady. BTW- great ambiance. Large hole-in-wall. Dimly lit. People talking. Not loud. Good energy. Lots of different kind of whiskey. And other spirits. 4 good beers on tap. Several imported or mico-brew beers. Full bar. Wine, etc. Staff is pleasant and efficient. I had my dish 3 minutes after ordering. Like busy bees. Kitchen is wide open for viewing. I like that touch. TV at the bar. Two high chair sections, one at the bar. Lots of seating. Good temperature in the restaurant. I like this place. The atmosphere was really enjoyable -- the space has a great vibe, the drinks were well made, and overall it feels like somewhere that could become a favorite spot downtown. The food was decent as well, though not especially memorable. Unfortunately, the service completely overshadowed the positives. From the moment we walked in, we felt more like an inconvenience than welcomed guests. The host greeted us while remaining seated at the bar and simply told us to "sit anywhere," which immediately set an odd tone. When I asked for paper menus, I was told they only use QR codes. Normally that wouldn't be a huge issue, but the menu was around 15 pages long with tiny font, making it frustrating to navigate on a phone. Once our food arrived, we essentially never saw our server again. No check-ins, no refill offers, no asking if we wanted another round of drinks -- nothing. Meanwhile, staff members were gathered at the bar loudly talking among themselves and openly complaining about being there, which was uncomfortable to listen to as customers trying to enjoy a night out. Eventually, we had to walk up to the front bar ourselves just to pay our bill. That was the most disappointing part because the restaurant truly has the foundation to be excellent. The ambiance and drinks are already there, but hospitality matters just as much as the food. A little attentiveness and genuine customer service would have completely changed the experience. We absolutely would have ordered more drinks and likely stayed longer if anyone had checked on us. Hopefully management takes service more seriously, because this place could be great with the right staff culture and attention to guests.
