The staff keeps up with the rush and the kitchen keeps that food wait time low but if you want a quieter experience I wouldn't recommend a weekend or holiday. This was my first time at this location I have been to the one in midtown before. I was invited to a Brown Skin Brunch. It was very nice I enjoyed myself. They were accommodating for us with our big party. We had enough space for us to sit. The waiters were very nice. One waiter turned photographer took our picture for us. I love that they support local coffee shops and have fresh squeezed orange juice! I ordered the 1/2 combo griddle with vanilla poppyseed French toast with blueberry compote. Impressive! My wife and I were in the area and decided to try somewhere new for breakfast. Typically we breakfast around where we live, there are so many good places in South Reno we rarely make it as far North as this establishment but I must say their multi cheese omelette which I added bacon to was delicious! The exact name of this entree is the UltiMelt Omelette ($13.29) with added bacon ($2.89). My wife had the Harvest Omelette and that too was tasty with the bite she gave me. 2 omelettes and 2 cups coffee came to around $38 before tax so not bad price wise. There is a Two Chicks in midtown as well FYI, but this one is across from Meadowood Mall and is attached to a hotel. The menu had plenty of breakfast options. The servers were nice. I ordered a vegetarian omelette and I found it. It was a little under seasoned. The potato cakes were on the small side, but tasty. My friend ordered a grain bowl with peanut butter and he liked it. There was a little bit of confusion because he asked for the maple syrup to be on the side instead they served it with a side of maple syrup. I didn't notice the extra charge until after we left. After driving passed Two Chicks on many occasions, we finally got the chance to try them out. For our party of 6 the wait was only 30 minutes and it was well worth the wait! The restaurant was clean, service was eggcellent and everything was fresh and delicious. My dad got the special pancakes (chocolate pancakes with peppermint), mom got the Salmon Bene, husband got the breakfast tacos and I went with the half griddle with almond poppyseed french toast. Everyone enjoyed what they had. I wasn't sure what to expect with the almond poppyseed french toast but really liked it a lot. You could really taste both the almond and poppyseeds. The poppyseeds added a light crunch and poppy flavor paired with fresh blueburry compote. The Salmon Bene was impressive. I'll eat it if I have to but I don't really like salmon. The Salmon was actually good- not too fishy and paired with the sauces and egg. The winner of the day was the chocolate peppermint pancakes. The festive pancakes came beautufully decorated with chocolate drizzle and sprinkled with peppermint. Everyone had a bite and enjoyed the unique flavor. The sausages are served as patties rather than links and the seasonal better was strawberry, Also notetable was their coffee. It was flavorful, bold and not generic. I also loved that their coffee is served in large coffee mugs. Overall, we loved everything about Two Chicks and will be back the next time we visit Reno. read more

The avocado crema squirted on top was rich and showed the creativity the two chicks bring to their food. The food here seems very "fresh" and made with care. Its a bit better than standard breakfast fare. The ambience is clean and the there is a good vibe as the staff seem happy and appreciated. The sourdough pancakes with bananas were tasty. Very mushy too, perhaps because the bananas were mixed into the batter and not placed on top. Overall, a really great breakfast place in Reno. read more

We were really excited to see a Two Chicks open up in the south end of Reno. We like the midtown location, but the parking is always a challenge. We so appreciate that Two Chicks offers vegan egg and vegan cheese options. It's pretty much the only place in Reno that offers that, so it is often our go to spot for breakfast as we try to eat vegan when we can. They also have some delicious vegan sourdough pancakes which I highly recommend. The south Reno location is pretty big and if you go early it's not too busy. The restrooms are shared with the hotel it's attached to, so you have to walk through the hotel lobby to get to them. The quality of food has always been good here. They have messed up our order a few times but I think they've gotten it correct more than they've gotten it wrong. The portion sizes are reasonable, they are definitely not the biggest but it's probably an appropriate size. I usually get the eggs benedict and I can't say that I necessarily feel full after eating it, but again probably not a bad thing. This is a great spot for all size groups and I would recommend stopping in! read more

We have regularly visited the midtown location but knowing we'd be coming in with a group of 8 to celebrate some birthdays, we decided to give this bigger location a try instead. First off, parking is SO easy here and they took a reservation! That alone is hard to find in a breakfast place, so it was much appreciated. We were seated promptly and had great attentive service throughout the meal, as we've come to expect from Two Chicks. We had no idea about this, but they also have these carseat hammock things, so your baby can "sit" at table height with you -- our waitress offered one and we were so thankful! Cooked to perfection, and more than I could eat so I took two pieces of French toast home for breakfast the next day. Others in my party enjoyed a vegan omelette, which she said was delicious; Eggs Benedict and judging by their empty plates, it must've been wonderful as well; a Caprese Melt and Red Chick Scramble finished our dining delights. Service here is always friendly, helpful, and available when you need it. We did have the vegan omelette remade because it came non-vegan by mistake , but our server was quick to correct it and apologize more than once for the error and the thing was, she actually sounded sincere and her apology, which was much appreciated. I don't like to eat large portions of food at once, so I was thrilled with the option to have a smaller portion size at a reasonable price. Sooo, we broke tradition this year and went to the South location for my birthday. It's an annual thing, my bestie comes up for NYE and my birthday, we go to Two Chicks for my birthday brunch and she gets the biscuits and gravy. She's a southerner and says the gravy is one of her all time favorites. So the new South location doesn't have the same feel as the midtown spot, it's bigger and can handle sooo many more diners! This is exciting, the wait was always worth it but now you don't have to wait as long. AND you still get the same amazing food, service and overall experience. The biscuits and gravy is my bestie's all time favorite rendition, and she's from the south. This time the gravy had some spice to it, so it was a tad different and still as yummy as ever. I had a sandwich this visit because I couldn't decide on breakfast. It was so good, the bread toasted, melted Swiss and kraut over corned beef...and I get it with 1000 island on the side because I LOVE mustard on mine. Garlic fries are the only way to go here. So so perfect on the side, garlicky and crispy goodness. This year they brought me a birthday pancake. Now I knew what I'm having on my next trip without question. The sourdough pancakes are amazing. I'll be having these on our next trip 100000%. Also, try the drinks because they do a smashing good job. The Nutty Irishman is a favorite and they do it justice. Their Bloody Mary's are awesome.
