I was scheduled to pick up a 20 foot truck in Norco early Saturday in the morning. 20 feet was more than what I needed, but I was told over the phone the day prior that it was all they had in the area for that day and time. So, I get to Norco and am told that my truck had not yet arrived. Apparently the previous renter was very, very late with the return. The employee at the Norco site was helpful and made a few phone calls, and found two 15 footers in Corona, which is actually what I wanted originally. Not sure why those weren't mentioned over the phone the day prior and why I was told that they were not available. Maybe reservations for them were cancelled earlier that day? In any case, I arrived at Corona and was able to promptly pick up the 15 footer. Noah, the Corona U haul employee, provided excellent customer service throughout the visit and helped be be on my way fairly quickly. No hassles during the return process. This is my second time renting from this site. Both experiences were just fine. I do think they should implement a feature that would alert renters if the specific vehicle they are wanting to rent becomes available along with the ability to reserve it immediately as soon as they are notified, either via app or phone call or something. Something like that would have saved me both gas and time by not having had to drive to a different city for a reservation that ended up not even being available... Thankfully, the drive wasn't too too far and I got the right size truck in the end. read more

This is for the location off Green River. It's excellent, close to us. They only have one van its brand new, it can fit a small apartment. Very convenient the owner of the liquor store where you pick up its very nice. He explained everything in detail. The gas station is at the same parking lot so you fill it up before returning it. read more

If I could put negative stars I would literally THE worst customer service I EVER experienced The girl working in the front was very rude came in to get my truck which wasn't ready (it was so out gas it wouldn't even start) they continued to tell me I will be charged a full rental day but would have to bring it back in before they closed due to literally waited over an hour for a employee to get get gas. When I asked the General Manager Juan if I would be compensated for the 2 1/2 hours I had already waited he rudely told me to just make sure it's back before 9 and walked away I will never rent here or recommend this place to ANYONE read more

Rented a trailer from this place for a few days, when returned we were charged extra bc 2 chains were touching the ground. It was $20 per chain. The chains were not damaged, just scratched. Absolutely ridiculous!! read more

The WORST. I decided to leave a review after being given two FILTHY trucks, one which had grease and oil inside and damaged brand new furniture. The staff is always slow and very rude and after I complained about this last incident, they decided to put me on E-alert so that I couldn't rent another truck, even though I have a zero balance and owe them nothing. Customer service removed it over the phone but once again, their nonsense took up valuable time. I am still waiting for a call back from the regional manager regarding the formal complaint I filed with corporate (it has been 3 days). Do not rent from this retailer- there are plenty in the area that will give you a clean truck and get you in and out in less than 30 min. read more

I rented a truck from them on 12/22/19. I have a contract that says I was to return the truck to the same place I picked it up and the contract says if I go over miles I would be charged $0.40 per mile. When I brought the truck back I was told I was not supposed to return the truck there and they charged me $1.09 per mile despite my contract. Then they blocked my ability to write a review! Got the U-Haul the same day and he was able to get me a really good estimate on how much it would cost. The return app sucked. I had to get out of the U-Haul in the rain to up load pictures and there was no way to bypass that step. read more

If I could give this Uhaul on 6th street in Corona a zero star I would. Very deceitful employees and management. We are moving out of state and I went in many times for many new, empty Uhaul moving boxes. I've waited up to 45 minutes on several occasions (I'm disabled) because many times there's only one person at the register. I've watched other customers argue with employees over services at this store as well, but I needed the boxes. Inside the store it says, "We buy boxes back" so I wasn't concerned about buying too many because it says, "We buy boxes back." I paid cash each time I went and was not given a receipt (my mistake, but I didn't think I'd need one because the boxes are clearly marked "Uhaul"). When it came time to return our new, unused Uhaul boxes (over 20 in various sizes) "Terrie" refused to take them back without a receipt. I told her I never received a receipt when I paid cash. She shrugged her shoulders and walked away (very rude lady). My husband then spoke to Luis Calderon, who said he was an Assistant Manager, who said he could not issue a refund for cash purchases w/o a receipt, and we told him the same thing-no receipt was issued. My husband called Juan Paez-Montiel, General Manager, 3 times before he finally got a hold of him, and he too would not return our money. There's a reason this store has a very low rating and now we realize why: If you pay cash you will not get a receipt so when you attempt to return your new, unused item, they will not give you a refund as it is posted in their store. But when you drop off the trailer they don't check it back in for an hour. And then they double charged my credit card for a extra day of rental. Worst experience ever. All of the workers refused to help me rent a truck. They said all their vans were reserved. I asked them several times and gave them several options so they could help me out rent the truck I needed, but they were increasingly rude. I then went online myself and turns out that I was able to get the truck that a few minutes earlier I was denied to rent by the workers including the supposed owner "Sheryl". The rest of the workers were all gathered up in the garage and were not available to help. I had to call them for help multiple times, but they kept laughing and turning around. The contract said that the truck had more than a quarter of gas, but after a long wait to get the truck I checked and it did not had any gas. I was afraid I was not going to be able to get to a gas station. One of the workers named Lionel (he gave me his name wrong initially) besides refusing to help me, made fun of me by calling me "moody" to my face for asking them to help me after they were all fooling around and unavailable. This has been the worst experience with costumer service I have ever experienced for absolutely no reason. Thankfully costumer service was able to verify my situation and are going to help with the situation. DON'T waste your time and your energy at such an unprofessional and rude environment. I rented a double axel trailer for my Toyota Tundra and I purchase a ball from them. I had to wait an hour for them to hook it to my truck because they were working on another trailer (with a crow bar) to try to fix the fender. I did not receive an apology from the manager or employees for the delay. I was traveling from corona ca to orange ca and when I got off the freeway in orange, As I went down the street a few blocks the trailer came off the ball that they installed. I thank god that it didn't come off on the freeway. I left the trailer at a safe location to be picked up. When I went back and spoke to the manager again I did not receive an apology nor was I asked if I was okay or if anyone was hurt. ... just a blank stare with an arrogant attitude. If I could give them 0 stars I would. I rented a truck online. It was easy enough. I got both an email confirmation and text message confirmation with my pick up time and reservation number. It even let me check in online and upload my drivers license to make the pickup even easier. I did all of that. So I showed up to pick up my reserved truck and the worker tells me they do not have a truck for me. They have no trucks actually but that he will call around and see if any other locations have an available truck. Wtf? I made a reservation that was confirmed and there was no truck? ‍ I felt like I was in that Seinfeld episode where they didn't have a rental car for him when he deserved one. So U-Haul knows how to take the reservation, they just don't know how to hold the reservation. No apology from the employee ever. Had to drive to another city to get a truck. I don't normally place bad reviews because I assume that every business has its bad day and I let go of the frustration quicker. Unfortunately, this particular Uhaul facility has failed spectacularly EVERY SINGLE VISIT. From long lines with only one person working the cash register, "lost" reservations (I was told that I didn't secure the reservation correctly even though I had a print out of the reservation) to paying me $89.00 ALL in SINGLE bills (I'm NOT kidding), to telling me that they can't honor the buy back policy for TWO boxes because I don't have a receipt. Which mind you wasn't disclosed to me when I initially purchased the boxes. Even though he saw me walk into the store with the boxes in question. I would NEVER recommend this Uhaul to my worst enemy, let alone a friend or family member. Haven't even picked up my truck yet and the experience has been terrible. Reserved online to pick up the truck at 7am, which requires use of their app and a lockbox. I get a phone call around this afternoon saying their lock boxes aren't working so I can't pick up until 9am. They offered to search for another location offering earlier pick up and stated they would call me back. They never called back...I tried calling the store for over an hour and could only get through to a call center. HORRIBLE SERVICE from this store. Customer Service at this Uhaul is poor. There is no parking for vehicles so your asked to park on the street. BEWARE!!! Your parking at your own risk. My car got totaled on one side from a Uhaul vehicle but they took no responsibility for the damage done since I was parked on a public street. The Uhaul manager didn't care. Basically would not look at the video to figure out who hit my vehicle and ran. Came out to my vehicle after hours to find the whole side of my vehicle caved in with my mirror on the ground. Just go somewhere else, anywhere else. WORST SERVICE EVER! I'm not new to renting U Haul trucks and have never had an issue until this last experience a few days ago. Ordered and checked in online to go one way. I have a drop off station literally 5 min away from my house. Get there for my 10am reservation only to be told they do not have an item that I had ordered and paid for online. Next the clerk after refunding the unavailable equipment price TOTALLY changes my reservation to a drop off station 14 miles further from my house ( I only get 60 and drive miles one way was already 50), then we get to the truck and the gas was NO WHERE NEAR what was marked on the paperwork. Rest of the experience didn't get any better. Tried calling to get my drop off location restored back to my original request with zero results. Ended up driving the extra 14 miles, paid the outrageous price for all the wasted extra gas (plus the gas that was never in the tank) to have someone just write a note ( that I took a picture of) for someone to check back in the truck later ( so no formal confirmation that the truck was back and everything is as it should be.), get home and about SIX HOURS LATER I get a call from U Haul asking for the truck numbers on the keys to the truck, I inform him that I haven't been in possession of the truck since the morning ( my check in time was 10am), lastly he asks me did anyone tell me something was WRONG with the truck! WHAT! I said no but, before I could ask what did he mean the caller said OK, thank you and disconnected. Now I'm closely watching my credit card to make sure nothing unusual happens there. We came in for a car dolly and unfortunately didn't have the correct ball hitch to fit the car dolly we needed so he went ahead and helped us out with al his ability with getting what we needed in order to get on the road on Christmas Eve super thankful! If you order something online and plan to pick it up here, BEWARE they may not have it for weeks after they say it's in the store! I ordered four boxes and received an email from uhaul that they were ready to be picked up at this location. The boxes weren't there. They took my name and number and said they would call me in just a few days. They never called. I called several times and was always routed to a remote customer service location, who was also NEVER able to get a hold of this location. And for some reason, customer service cannot tell you what's in stock at the store. So I drove to the store again, the day before my move. The boxes STILL weren't there. They offered to take my name and number... again. The owner acted like there was nothing she could do. I finally got her to call another location. Then I had to drive to that location to get the supplies that were supposed to be ready at the Corona location BOTH times I drove there. read more

Rented a trailer. They hooked it up to my truck. Drove down the freeway and the trailer unhooked from the ball on the truck and was dragged. Happened twice. Had to drive ever so slowly. Once I returned the trailer and spoke to the manager about it, he said that it was my responsibility to make sure connections were made correctly. I thought they were the professionals. He tried shutting me up but saying yeah yeah yeah. If this is the kind of help that I get when I have a reservation I wonder what kind of help i get if i dont have a reservation. Was told no guarantee a truck would be available at we go the trailer. On moving day was sent to a different location and this guy says we called you yesterday and told you. Nope! That never happened. So, First problem. Then, Got trailer at second location, drop off was stated in receipt but.....when we went there was told No, go ten miles to another location for drop off. If this guy is really the owner as he said then I would recommend going to any other location as he doesn't have a clue about his operation. When we asked what was going on he stated, " what do you want me to do about this". Come to find out this place dies this kind of stuff all the time. What a loser. Let's face it... we all hate to move. Blah! I mean moving to a new place can be cool, but the act of moving is tiring, stressful, annoying, and just no fun. If you actually like to move, let me know. I may give you a call in the future. ;-). Anyway, so I had to help my parents move this past month. We called a month in advanced to reserve a truck for three days (Saturday, Sunday, and Monday). We called again the week of and everything was all set. Boxes were packed the family was over and ready to get this done and guess what?! We go to pick up the UHaul truck and it was not available. We waited about a half hour and they told us to go home and they'll call once they get it in. Well we go home and wait... and wait... and wait... until finally they call and let us know that we won't be getting the truck we reserved and now have to get a size smaller. If you have ever moved, then you know the more room you have in the truck the better. So we're behind schedule with a smaller truck. We ask for a discount since they're going to be charging us the same amount and say they'll take of some money for our trouble. Big deal!!! The overall customer service was very poor and left me hating moving even more. We did the best we could with the smaller truck and ended up using additional cars to help. I would definitely pick another location to get a truck in the future. If you reserve something you expect it to be there. You also expect good customer service. read more

When renting the uhaul I asked to be able to drop off in murrieta location was told by assistant manager sherry alvarez that I can do that I went to drop it off that same night at murrieta location only to find out I can only drop it off at corona location called the store they tell me if I can get it there by 9pm I will be charged for 1 day that it is completely there fault I drop it off at 9 pm that day I'm still charged for 2 days even though I was told I wouldn't be have been calling and calling just to get nowhere today I speak to sherry and she Denied she even said I can drop it off at the murrieta location basically says I am lying but I rented a uhaul from the Norco facility that same day was able to drop it off in murrieta why would I want to drop one off in corona and be able to drop the other in murrieta crappy customer service especially when they call the customer a liar I don't mind paying my one day but when you openly admit you guys are at fault then the person who made the mistake gets on the phone and tells me I'm lying something is wrong there supposed to make moving easier when all they did was make it more stressful now here I am still waiting for a call back from the head manager this has been a ongoing issue for a week now get it together Uhaul read more

Been to this location to rent trailers several times and have never been able to get out of the office in less than an half hour, have reservation and still takes an hour + to get out of here. The owners really need to work on having people that are actually interested in customer service, and ENOUGH personal to be able to expedite customers rather than have them waiting because of phone calls or people with a lot of questions that need to be answered. I really didn't want to give this U-Haul company in Corona California any stars at all, horrible customer service. Reserved a truck a month prior to moving date as U-Haul was very close to location of my house. They called one day prior to picking up truck and told me I had to drive 25 miles out of my way to pick up truck and bring it back to move. Beware your reservations are not In Stone it's on a first come first serve basis. Do not waste your time going in there Ahead of time it won't do you any good. Please fire all the staff that called in "sick" on Super Bowl Sunday. I came to drop off a trailer when they opened at 9am and it took over an hour. It would have taken probably at least another hour of waiting if I hadn't decided to drive around and squeeze through the side entrance and drop the trailer myself. There were trucks backed up on to 6th street waiting to get in and a lot of customers standing around very agitated. There was one person working a huge line inside and one guy working the vehicles outside and that was it. Those two employees were working very hard and deserve raises. Fire the rest and hire some people who have some work ethics. In today's economy that shouldn't be too hard. read more

A friend of mine tried to rent a truck here today but we were ultimately denied service by the manager. My friend needed to use cash but they wanted a credit card to complete the transaction so I volunteered my card. I called the number listed on the Google search for Corona and gave the woman all my info; she gave me a reservation number and told me my friend would be able to walk right in and get the truck immediately. My friend called me and told me that I had to drive there to physically run my card; I asked to speak to the person requesting my presence. This person confirmed that I still needed to come in. So I did. As you might imagine I was not in a happy frame of mind when I hit their door and requested to speak to the manager before I even got to the counter. Turns out the manager's customer service skills got in the way of our transaction. After I gave him a piece of my mind for making me interrupt my busy day, telling him that Amazon doesn't make my drive there to run my card in person, and handing him my credit card and D.L. he requested my cell phone number which I refused to give him though I volunteered my home phone number. At that point it all went south: since I wouldn't give him my cell # he decided not to rent to us at all. Does he only give people without credit cards a hard time, because he can, or is it because I am a senior woman or what? read more
