The were able to deliver the trailer close to the garage for easy loading

From the time they dropped off the trailer to the time they delivered our trailer all the way across the country the folks at Upack were fantastic! Especially want to give a shout out to the delivery driver that delivered our trailer in South Carolina. He was a fantastic employee and so helpful. We moved about 1,200 cu ft of personal and household items from California to South Carolina. A few things broke but it was caused by my not providing sufficient padding where needed. My advice when moving; use the strongest boxes you can find and use plenty of moving pads. Thanks again Upack and ALL your staff!!!

Literally everyone we came in contact with was polite and great The customer service team was always prompt in answering questions we had. The trailer worked Great for loading and unloading! Truck Drivers in San Diego and Montana were friendly and skilled. Amazing process overall!

PLEASE READ!! For the love of god save your money and either go elsewhere or sell your precious items and buy new in your next location!!!!! We were going from San Diego, CA to Wilmington, NC. It's a straight shot across the 40 or the 10, basically sea level. We weren't having our freight lug up and down the Rockies. We bubble wrapped just about everything, boxed everything, layered everything with sheets, towels, wrapped items in plastic, tied items with rope to the walls to ensure it was secured, heavier boxes on bottom, you name it. Upack even gave us 75lb wooden walls to go up to hold it all in. We spent $4000 on the freight since we needed a bit more square footage and we're fine with doing so because we really wanted to keep some of our most precious items collected over the years. Our freight was dropped off at our new house and we were eager to make our new place feel like home! We unfortunately had the opposite experience we were hoping for. When we took the wooden doors off, it looked as if the truck driver rolled off a cliff 6 times and hopped back on the road to deliver our stuff. I'm literally convinced the driver got into an accident. Everything was filthy dirty with black dirt, everything was either dented, scratched, or completely broken. What was the point spending all this money only to throw 90% of it out? We wrote an extensive claim report to upack (3 pages worth) with all the photos. $4000 worth of our items were ruined on top of what we spent to get it delivered. I had to follow up on my email because they never even replied. 3 days later, Kacey Yother "Supervisor", send me an email saying since they didn't pack our stuff and it was just "freight shifting", they deny our claim entirely. We're not dumb. We understand the items might shift a bit being on the road. But finding my laundry rack that was sitting on top in the back, in a million pieces sitting under an 80lb rug in the front, just does NOT add up to me. It was the most insincere email with zero care or understanding of what we just experienced. I'm hopeful that this review gets the word out that Upack is unreliable and robbed us of our money and our items we'll never be able to get back. You should be ashamed of yourselves!

Our driver in Texas showed up without a mask, both coming and going, but we were outside and not required to get close. Our problem was the leak in the trailer that we didn't find out about until we unpacked. We had to immediately wash a lot of clothes, take some things to the dry cleaners, and hand dry silverware, etc. I doubt that the standard insurance will cover much, if anything. We had help loading and unloading, but most people could do it. The hardest part was loading heavy things on top. A ladder is usually required.

    Leaving San Diego

This was the best option moving from California to Washington state. Where moving companies were quoting me 6-10K! U-pack was a little over 4k for two containers. You have to do the leg work but it's worth the money. Also, you need to buy your own locks for the containers which kinda sucks but still happy with overall results. You can also track your shipment with a tracking number provided by them. Don't get ripped off by the moving companies and use U-pack. It's the future of moving. Thank you U-pack!

The Relocube, it can be locked with only one lock, but use two.

Finding a quality Moving Cube, Relocube, whatever you want to call it, is not as easy as you might think. The prices vary greatly and so does the service. I eventually decided on U-Pack for my move down the west coast. The cube was delivered as promised and shipped without incident. They gave me an extra week of storage in the San Diego facility that I didn't end up needing, but nice that they gave it to me for free. The delivery to my new place was smooth and after only taking an hour or so to unload it, I called and they came back the same day to pick it up. U-Pack is on the expensive side, as compared to U-Haul for example, but the U-Haul reviews scared me off, too many complaints about price switching and poor customer service. The price that U-Pack quoted me was the same price I paid, including all fees, gas charges and taxes. Moving is never too much fun, but not having to worry about the stuff you packed, or the price you'll end up paying is worth the extra money in my mind.

    The big truck!

Im very impressed by this company. I moved from San Diego to a small town in the middle of nowhere in Puerto Rico. The service was great throughout. Everything was done in a timely manner on both ends and customer service was very helpful and informative. The price was fair considering the amount of stuff I was able to pack in my relocube. The most impressive part was that the driver in PR got to my new location in that big truck with no issues (mind me, I grew up here and still get a bit scared driving on some of these roads!). Highly recommend this company. Side note, make sure to follow all the advice on how to load your cube. The people who helped me (not professionals) didn't tie the stuff they loaded on top and it all shifted towards the doors so unloading it was eventful, but this was our bad.

I had an amazing experience with U-pack. As a military family, these moves can be so stressful. This was our first PCS and rest assured U-pack made every step very easy. Weight tickets were provided to us fully completed at the end of our move, which was very nice. Delivery was made easy, I was not home at the time and I was allowed to have my neighbor sign off on the truck for me. They even pulled the truck up perfectly in front of my home and I did not have to show them where to go, they used their best judgement and it was perfect. Only downside is that they only deliver and pick up trailers on Wednesdays to Camp Pendleton, CA so I had to tailor some things off of that. Since military moves are so unpredictable, I would have liked more flexibility on dates for Pendleton! Everyone in their customer service is so friendly and kind. I will definitely be using upack again in the future.

    Container delivered in driveway.

Great experience with this company and had great customer service the entire move. I moved from California to Nebraska and reserved container 2 months ahead because a friend recommended this company. The container arrived early before our new house closed and with communication they held container until day after closing delivering day before Thanksgiving even with a shortage of drivers that week. I recommend them. All my belongings were intact, dry, and exactly how my movers packed it.

I am long overdue in writing this review, but after 7 moves in the last 5 years, I can confidently…read moresay that Little Guy Big Truck Moving is the best in the business. Because of my job, I've had to move between Southern and Northern California (and vice versa) and within SoCal for both long-distance and short local relocations. Every single time, I have relied on them heavily to pack my entire household one day and move me the next. The logistics are always seamless thanks to Jennifer, who handles the scheduling and details perfectly. On the ground, Aurelio and his team are incredible--they are extremely reliable, friendly, and always arrive right on time. What really sets them apart is their expertise with fragile items. I've watched them work, and they are masters at "moving Tetris." They wrap every piece of furniture securely in padded blankets and shrink wrap to prevent any scratches or dings. For my most delicate items--like kitchenware, electronics, and artwork--they use a meticulous multi-layer approach with high-quality packing paper and bubble wrap. They are strategic about loading the truck, ensuring heavy items are at the base and my fragile boxes are safely secured on top or in "buffer zones" so nothing shifts or gets crushed during the long drive between NorCal and SoCal.Plus, they stay organized by labeling every box with the correct room and using 'Fragile' or 'Handle with Care' stickers wherever needed. They are such hardworking, sweet people who never ask for much, though I'd highly recommend having some cold water on hand for them during those hot summer move days. If you want a team that treats your "life's savings" with genuine care, look no further. They've made a stressful process easy for me seven times over! Thanks Jennifer,Aurelio and team!

July 2025: I used Little Guy Big Truck for the first time this weekend and it was a great…read moreexperience. I first reached out to them on Yelp and then began communicating with them over text message. They responded promptly to my messages. I reached out to at least 5 other moving companies and Little Guy's rate made the most sense, they didn't charge additional fees like an administrative fee or random fees that other companies do. They charged me 120/hr cash or 130/cc. Two movers arrived to my home right on time, it was great. In the past, other moving companies have arrived late. The two men (Mr. L and Mr. E) who assisted me with my move were friendly and professional. They did a wonderful job wrapping my furniture and making sure all my items were secure. I thought their pace was fair and efficient. Mr. L and Mr. E worked hard and it was truly appreciated. Jan 2026: I hired this moving company again and they did a great job. I had a problem with my storage unit key which made us run late but both Jennifer (admin) and Mr. A were so understanding. I felt terrible that I messed up with not having my storage key but the team was so kind. The move was quick and efficient. Both movers were friendly. One of the movers did look very young though. On a side note, their prices did increase by $10, I believe. I would 100% recommend this moving company and will be using their services in the future.

Thank you and your team for the amazing job they did today. I have hired movers in the past and I can honestly say your team was by far the best guys I have worked with. I will never use this company again. I've moved more than 5 times in San Diego and have never had…read moresuch a rude guy talk so us and treat us as if his time was more important. Maybe because it was just a storage move but our items in storage still are important. I will give two of the guys very nice and professional. The main guy was the one with attitude and seems to have an anger issue. I will give them the positive is that they did text me 20 minutes before arriving. Everything seemed to start okay but I already noticed no care of our items, they dropped stuff and didn't seem to care. Granted it wasn't too important, but I wouldn't trust them with anything antique or valuable. Then they said one items was a marble table and it's too heavy. We've moved 5 times and no one has said anything to us about the weight. Positive; they didn't charge us for the item. As I mentioned if any of the other 5 movers said it was a heavy item, I would've been upfront about it. But since no one else I've used in San Diego said anything, I didn't think it would be an issue. Then I saw the guy start getting angry and seemed to not care about anything bc he had to move this heavy item. He started throwing tape on the floor twice very angrily. I felt scared as a woman and thankfully my boyfriend was with me. But if you're a single lady and someone is giving you that attitude, be aware. Most of our stuff was just left in a "general" area. With no care. If we pay for 3 hours of work, the expectation would be you work 3 hours. Yet I was told "you treat us like robots" 2 hours in when we still had 1 hour of work left. I wanted some boxes moved from the garage to the room (all 1 story) maybe 10 feet away and was given an angry attitude. I'm sorry but we're paying you to do a job. So at the end of the day they got 1 free hour of pay and a tip. But I would never use them again. So unless you want to be treated rudely and scared, use anyone else. Ps Jeff/owner will probably respond and just argue about the one heavy item. I'm not disputing if I had known it was going to be considered heavy I would've said something. ---- Edit: What I can at least say is Jeff was at least professional and offered a small refund for the issue. So I upgraded the review to 2 stars.

We didn't quite hit that, but at no point did it feel like anyone was wasting time. The crew hustled the entire job. They listened to how I wanted to prioritize the move. We focused on large furniture first, got all the key items handled, then worked through the rest. Communication was constant. They asked questions, followed direction, and adjusted quickly without any pushback. The team was professional the whole time. No hesitation, even with heavy items or sending things upstairs. Everything was wrapped appropriately, not overdone, just done right. Nothing was damaged, and they were careful with walls and flooring throughout. We had discussed heavier items and drive time ahead of time, and everything was handled fairly. No surprises. I also compared pricing beforehand, and their rate of $199/hour (cash) plus the $60 truck fee was in line with what I was seeing. We ended up at about 3 hours 45 minutes total and paid $825, which felt great for the level of effort and coordination involved. Every move is different, but there were no surprises. Vladimir, Dima, Greg, and Aibek were a great team. They worked hard, communicated well, and stayed professional throughout. Overall, a hardworking, professional crew that provides solid value and takes care of your belongings. I would definitely recommend them.
