I have really enjoyed the food and staff at Uncle Chicken's for last 5 years . My favorite has been chicken & vegetables . Today was a different story. Made to go order for 1/2 rack rib combo. After paying and tipping cash for order, was informed that ribs are not ready yet. No problem, can I get a refund? No refunds , pick out something else! Pick eater involved doesn't want anything else. That's what your phone is for , I was told. Ridiculed me in front of other customers. 95 items and you can't find anything? 100% recommend food is top notch the owner will go above and beyond for his customers we had never ordered there soup and with our order he included a small 3-4 bite portion of each of the soup options. As if he was saying once you try you'll be back in our opinion there is no restaurant that comes close to matching food portions size or customer service. 100/10 would recommend. read more

Great tasting food. Very nice folks working here. We didn't see the messy dirty place described by others. Our experience was very nice. And the Health Department rated this place clean with an A & gave them an overall cleanliness score of 94. A few odd folks left weird negative Yelp reviews: one person complained because they had to pay for their meal. Another said sanitation was bad & they saw rodents. Some people are so strange. Being upset, writing a bad review, and publicly complaining because a business asks for payment hardly seems out of the ordinary. Often the old adage of "if you can't say something nice, better to not say anything" is the best course of action. Gotta wonder how chronic complainers live their lives always being miserable. We'll gladly go back the next time we're in the area. And we will happily pay for our meal. Very much a hidden gem, mom and pop put their heart and soul into the food and community and very much cater to their customers. Owner hands you your food and thanks you for coming, very personable people and the food is the real draw, made to order and made from scratch, the smell of the kitchen hits you as you walk up, you order and given a beeper as it's being cooked, wait and you can choose to eat there or take it with you. They do have outdoor tables or if it's to go they wrap it up. Awesome food and awesome service. I had the brisket sandwich with beans and coleslaw and it was fantastic, flavorful and spot on. Just NO. A friend and I ordered lunch from here yesterday. Fiesta chicken quesadilla, gyro, fries and 2 waters. Easy enough. Picked it up and took it to the beach. Got to the beach, settled in which is a bit of an effort based on one of us using a wheelchair. Opened bag of food ... no fries, no waters, no utensils. No kidding. So that took a bit to work through because well, its the beach. Started eating and quickly discovered there was no actual chicken in the quesadilla, which was artfully disguised by enough cheese for 2 orders. Gyro wasn't great either. Huge disappointment. We paid $30 for this experience. THIRTY DOLLARS!! It was so poor, that we called and tried to work with the owner to make this right and was told ... we hadn't actually been charged for the fries or waters, so no credit was due AND even worse, the guy told us his margins are so tight on this food that he couldn't offer us any discount for the rest of the terrible food/experience. If you have $30 to waste on lunch, you're better off BURNING IT and grabbing a hot dog at 7-11. How this place gets great reviews is beyond me. Every place is allowed a bad day, but not owning it and making it right isn't acceptable. Won't even say do better, because there is no way I'd ever go back and will strongly encourage people to steer clear. read more
