    Blood Orange Mimosas

Brunch time was amazing! There was a very friendly welcome from the staff immediately upon walking in the door - a huge plus for me! The restaurant is beautiful, comfortable and so elegantly styled, we felt very "fancy" being there - lol! Now the food and mimosas...both were fabulous! Yes, I highly recommend this restaurant.

Basque Breakfast is a must-order. Unique and delicious.

My husband and I went to brunch at Under the Cork Tree as part of a press trip to Sandy Springs. [gifted experience, but thoughts are my own] Staff was super friendly when we arrived, and seated us on their cute patio. Located in a strip mall location, you might be surprised by the charm. It feels like a quiet escape from the nearby highway. They offer brunch cocktails and a large menu of everything from charcuterie to greek donuts to the Basque breakfast. Look, you might be thinking: Fish for breakfast?! Just order it. It's savory and delicious. Of course, to satisfy your sweet tooth, get the Greek donuts. They bake their breads in house and these are perfectly crispy and puffy. Honestly, just incredible. Definitely a great brunch experience in Sandy Springs!

I wasn't expecting to eat a light dinner as I was at an event hosted there. However a few of us decided as I had eaten there a long time ago and remember it being great. I was right. Our server Sara was delightful and on point. She gave us an amuse bouche of olive, cheese, and chorizo. I had the butternut squash soup which was rich and creamy with a tinge of sweet. Speaking of sweet I of course had to end with dessert that was the blueberry cheesecake - nom nom. It was such a generous piece that I had to take it home.

The new menu is quite the adjustment to take in. A lot more options, but I miss the previous offerings. Fish of the Day and the crispy lamb lollies/ribs tapas are gone and they're missed!!! I'd have to say the prices and options match more of an entree style dinner and less fun bites to explore with traditional tapas. The one addition that I really enjoyed was the grilled cheese and the salad. It was some type of walnut apple salad, the salad was average the grilled cheese was scrumptious. Certain price hikes like $11 for a small plate of potatoes is a no go for me. It's worth a return, but Eclipse di Luna has them beat on ambiance and tapas options. They never made the bar more inviting after all these years, but can't miss what was never there.

I love a restaurant that actually reads the reservations comments and goes out of their way to make your experience an outstanding one. That's exactly what the team at Under The Cork Tree did for my friend's birthday making it that much more special. Upon her arrival, the manager came over and personally greeted her, wished her a happy birthday and thanked her for choosing to celebrate at their establishment. That was pretty much how the rest of the dining experience went...Attentive service which we appreciated. Special shout out to Marco who took great care of us that evening! Must haves: Mini Grilled Cheese & Apple Salad, Brussel Sprouts, Tagliatelle Bolognese (they ordered as an appetizer and entrée because they thought it was that good), Frutti de Mare Tagliatelle Arrabbiata, Bone in Ribeye (for the red meat lovers and it can easily feed 3-4).

We booked their awesome private dining room for our party of 14 as a Christmas gift for the family. They recently changed the menu to a new format and it was great! The butternut squash risotto with salmon was delicious. We loved the ambiance of the space and would highly recommend to anyone seeking private dining in Sandy Springs.

We had a dinner reservation for a party of 8 at 7:00 pm on Tuesday, 8/30/22. There is a free parking lot, but I would get there a bit early to give yourself enough time to find a spot during busy times. Overall, we liked what we got. We stuck with vegetarian dishes. We got Walnut Salad, Caprese Salad, Fig & Farmer's Cheese, Fire Roasted Ratatouille, Spicy Broccolini, Truffle Cacio e Pepe, Crispy Artichokes, and Patatas Bravas. The Walnut Salad was the star of the show. Soooo good. The Truffle Cacio e Pepe was disappointing with not that much flavor. The Fire Roasted Ratatouille was just not that good. Oily, could've used bread. The Patatas Bravas weren't the best I've had. We also got dessert and we were really impressed! The Warm Date Cake was a delight! We were very pleasantly surprised. It looks like it's chocolate, but it wasn't! The Spanish Almond Cake was also really good. The Basque Cheesecake was fine, but the other two were better. Good food, but not the best tapas I've had in Atlanta. Cool atmosphere. Good for a date or for a group of friends.

Work related dinner experience was amazing! Host & servers were equally welcoming. We started with charcuterie boards (pic not provided) great options! Appetizing food display. Scallops were really good! Mediterranean style salad (pic not provided) was delicious. The dessert had different textures but overall filled my sweet tooth.

We went for brunch on Mother's Day. They were serving their regular menu and we had the brunch items. My kids shared the French toast which was perfect for them. We almost offered 2 separate plates but luckily the server said that it's big enough for them to share. They each had a piece of French toast. The Shakshuka was amazing and the bread that came on the side for dipping was delicious. My husband was jealous of my order because it was the best! The place is not as big as I thought but it's still really pretty inside. It wasn't too loud either. They do have street lot but if there's no room there's a parking deck. Overall it was great!

    Cocktails were awesome

Food was amazing and so was the service. Great birthday dinner spot. The ambiance is a little moody which is nice. I would definitely go back again.

The food and cocktail I had was superb but it was the fantastic service I really want to applaud them for. From the first greeting when you walk in, to the manager making pleasant conversation, to a rockstar server great with recommendations. This is the kind of service that used to be standard but is now a dying art. Kudos to them for that. Will be back again and again. My highlights were the octopus and the crispy artichokes. But just try everything.

Under the Cork Tree's patio created an excellent environment for our gathering. There were ten of us, and since they did not have tables for large groups or have a table that could be moved together, we separated, so ladies were at one table and men at the other. The heaters kept us warm on the chilly fall night. Each table ordered family style so we could enjoy more food. When eating tapas, I prefer to stay with two plates per person and then add if needed. We ordered the perfect amount of food as we barely had a bite of anything left. There were four of us who shared the beet salad, broccolini, meatballs, calamari, potatoes, fish croquettes and chicken skewers. One of the ladies in our group ordered the cheese sandwich and green salad for herself. My favorite dish was the fish croquettes. It doesn't hurt that I recently had been in the DR and those were my fav food of the trip. They were crispy and lightly breaded with lots of fish and cheese inside. The beets were another favorite dish of the group. I did not have the meatballs, but was told they were good. The Pinot Noir from Oregon was a perfect accompaniment for all the dishes.

Dark Chocolate Tart with Pistachio Ice Cream
    Skylar H.

I don't normally go out for tapas, so I'm not too familiar with this style of restaurant, however I throughly enjoyed my experience! Our server was very friendly and explained the dishes to us very well! I ordered the Burrata and Grapefruit ($14), Truffle Cacio e Pepe ($15), and for dessert, the Dark Chocolate Tart that came with Pistachio Ice Cream ($13). I have actually never tried burrata so this was my very first experience. It came with toast, greens and grapefruit jam. I loved this. The tartness of the grapefruit paired so well with the creaminess of their burrata. The truffle Cacio e Pepe was also good, I cleared all of it. It stuck together some and the truffle flavor was not too prominent, but I think it was still tasty. Now....this dessert...... this was like nothing I have ever had before. Not the tart, but the pistachio ice cream that comes with it is life-changing. I have had my fair share of pistachio ice cream however there was something in this one that made it taste like pure luxury. Please get this if you go please. Also, a round of applause for this decor. I felt so cool sitting in there with the warm lighting, classy vibe, and comfy couch seating. My only complaint was that a couple next to us was violently making out for a very long time...but hey who am I to judge.

It's free parking in Sandy Springs because it's in a shopping center so you don't have to worry about paying for parking. The menu itself is very small so you're not going to have a lot of things on there to choose from but what you do pick is probably gonna be really good though. The menu is usually only one page. Now if you flip it over the wine list is extensive or decently extensive considering the fact that it's not a winery but you have a massive amount of options . Last time I was there I sat at the bar and Rob was super cool and really gave great customer service. No complaints about that . Brooklyn favorite Reuben - the Reuben was a really good sandwich. It came hot with melted cheese on there and sauerkraut and it was a hit. It came with fries but you can actually get a different side if you want. The Reuben sandwich was very good and very filling. It wasn't overly stacked like I'm used to back where I'm from but at the same time they definitely put a nice amount of meat on there so you won't be hungry after you finish. Avocado egg rolls - I tried the avocado egg rolls and they were okay but it's not my cup of tea. Personally I don't actually like avocado and it was pretty much 90% avocado inside there. At the same time it wasn't bad. If you like avocados then this is really gonna be your bag. It comes with a really sweet, maybe a teriyaki kind of sauce, but it's actually good and it helped. I'm just not a fan of that so I can't take that away from them. Lobster bisque - the Lobster Bites were okay. It tasted just like it was supposed to. It was still very lobstery and creamy so I have to give them that. It was pretty good. I only had a little bit but at the same time I thought it was good for what it was. Overall I really really enjoyed this spot. The customer service was really good and the food was solid

Coming into it, around early dinner time hour, it was fair to say a slow evening for a Saturday. This provided us a fair chance to be able to not feel rushed during this experience. Server and food runners were on point. Server knew the menu and what to suggest as popular meals and what his favorites were. He also informed us that food was made from scratch and the ribs were already sold out! Bummer as that would've been a go to choice! The restaurant it self seemed cleaned and a sleek look to it. We chose 2 fried chicken meals and steak and frite. These dishes were to brag about 100%, wish I could've met the head chef and supervisor on shift to let them how wonderful the food was and that the staff have great personality and professional! This chicken meals were beyond what could've fool me as a homemade chicken made by someone's grandma! The steak was cooked to perfection that could've melted in your mouth. Due to my son's birthday, the server offered a complimentary dessert for him to have! I recommend this place or their other locations 10/10!

The atmosphere felt like a casual new age, better, slightly more upscale and elegant version of Applebees, if that makes sense. Homey vibe but elegantly casual? Off rip I ordered a sweet tea which was phenomenal. It tasted like it has a slight peach undertone to it, and it was the right amount of sweet. I ordered the bacon wrapped shrimp as my appetizer and the fried chicken with mashed potatoes and brussels (I dont like coleslaw). I was told the bacon wrapped shrimp was a new menu item. For $19? They were cool. The fried chicken was really good. It was still steaming hot inside, when I took my first bite. The chicken was tender and had a good crunch to it. The brussels were okay. I typically like a more sweet glaze on my brussels but they did the job. I liked the mashed potatos, they were a little runny; the gravy made up for that though. I'm not a biscuit person but the biscuit that came with this meal was very soft, fluffy, moist, and had butter throughout. It was a bummer the only choices of hot sauce available were Tabasco and Cholula. I usually like Texas Pete, Crystal, or Louisiana hot sauce in my chicken. I WILL say, the monkey bread was SOOOOO good. So soft, warm, with apples and vanilla ice cream. If I knew it was this good I would have ordered 2 to go. Ultimately everything my was good, I had a great experience, and lots of leftovers.

Remember, if she would've come to greet us right away instead of being on her phone there would not have been an issue. Plus there was literally no one seated outside except for us! No excuse for this type of service. Plus I'm shocked that management didn't accommodate a first timer to your establishment being it was the server's fault. Amazing how these kind of restaurants forget there are soooooo many great options in this city! No one is going to put up with this type of nonsense. The bowl options looked fresh, flavorful, and perfect for a quick but satisfying meal. We arrived around 11:45 a.m., just before the lunch rush. I ordered the barbecue chicken bowl with black rice. Overall, my bowl was pretty good. The portions were solid, the ingredients tasted fresh, and it was filling without feeling heavy. My coworkers ordered the Greek bowl and what I believe was a teriyaki style bowl. The only strong feedback we had was regarding the seasoning on the Greek bowl. I noticed the seasoning appeared to be sprinkled on top of the chicken after the bowl was assembled. I think if the chicken were tossed in the seasoning beforehand, it would create a more impactful flavor throughout. As it was, my coworker felt the bowl leaned slightly bland because the seasoning did not fully incorporate. What truly stood out to me was the customer service. I believe the owner came in while we were there, and he was incredibly pleasant and hands on. As the lunch crowd grew, it was clear he remembered returning customers and even their usual orders. That level of attentiveness makes a difference. I would definitely return to try more menu options. Next time, I may ask for extra sauce or seasoning to give the bowl a stronger flavor boost. Overall, it is a great lunch spot with solid bowl options in Sandy Springs
