What a sweet spot! We came for brunch and had a great time with some wonderful food. The avocado toast was really good. We added breakfast potatoes and bacon and that was a great savory start and we finished with the bread pudding french toast which was almost too decadent. Found this place through Yelp. Pretty pictures and good recos say a lot. We sat outside, in the their back side courtyard - plenty of space. Well figured out, clean, everything in shade, light breeze from the fans, white table cloths - perfection. Staff was very attentive. Menu is good. Plenty to pick from but not overwhelming. Lunchtime: The husband had a rib (I think) burger, and I had the Ahi tuna burger sans bun. Fries were very good. We shared a lovely Brussels Arugula salad. Unfortunately, they were out of any type of sparkling water and we had tap instead. There was a bit of a wait between the salad and the burgers, but we chatted, so no biggie. The staff and service were exceptional. The menu offered something for everyone, but the food was on the salty side. I'm not a fan of seasoned burgers (the usually s&p would've been just fine) so I was a little disappointed with my burger. A medium rare chorizo-spiced burger made me think I was eating raw pork sausage and kind of turned me off. The menu gave no indication that the burgers were seasoned a certain way. The truffle fries, however, were excellent. The veggie empanadas were cold in the center and the albondigas were dry and tough. Sadly, I can't say I would give this place another chance. I had lunch with a friend that I hadn't seen in a while so we were there for a while! And it was OK! It's nice to not be rushed. We both had the Seasonal Salad. A new review- WOW! Fantastic! Tasty! and Attentive Service. We made an online reservation via their Yelp page, received a few reminders leading up to Friday night 6pm. Upon arrival we were greeted and taken straight to our table. The host asked flat vs fizzy water and took our BYOB wine to open and returned it with an ice bucket and wine glasses. Our delightful server came over to tease us with the night's chef specials, so full of interesting ingredients, I was beginning to salivate. We started by placing our appetizer order of beef empanadas. The presentation was great (see photo). While the meat mix and the side digging sauce was very tasty, the outer crust was fried a bit heavier than we'd prefer and it glistened from the fry oil. Wish it was less fried and hence less tough and chewy. Still an ice dish. Plus we asked for some of their homemade bread, like a crouton type consistency with a nice dipping sauce. Upon running through the specials again I decided upon 1 of three of the menu dishes- the pork chop the monkfish and the octopus. Our servicer offered her suggestions and backed it up with flavors, texture, and size of the dishes. I decided on the Grilled Spanish Octopus - 1 full octopus tentacle, Mole, radish fingerlings, chorizo, avocado, pickled onion. It was FANTASTIC. The flavor/taste/texture -- moist with a nice last grilled flavor complemented by the chorizo and pickled onions which gave it a little flavor kick. I lapped up the mole sauce on the plate with each piece of the tentacle. As people sat down next to us on both sides they asked what the great aroma was, I said you need to have the grilled octopus tonight, it was that good. They did and were appreciative for the recommendation. My wife decided to have the Chorizo Sliders -Beef & Chorizo, manchego cheese, roasted red pepper aioli on a sweet tasting bun. Excellent flavor. We left just a bit of room to taste a homemade dessert each which we brought home. The best part was we were not rushed out, we finished our meal and enjoyed our wine as we spoke with couples near us. Again, FABULOUS, FANTASTIC, FRESH FOOD. read more

Today was the last day. We've been there several times and usually ordered the same thing but today was an off day. All of the duck was duck fat. Bleck. The ropa vieja was somehow generic tasting. When visiting New Hope, I stumbled upon this spot as I was perusing last minute reservations. Upon arrival, I was greeted by a decorated facade in an old charming house. The interior was equally as delightful and certainly gave off the Spanish/Euro look they were going for. Overall, the service was decent - our waitress was a bit unfamiliar with the menu, but made up for it with her kindness and politeness. The food on the other hand, was quite mediocre. I got the short ribs bowl, and the quality of the meat wasn't that great. I don't think this is the best place for entrees, but I did enjoy the tapas. "Could've been better" The food was mostly interesting and the atmosphere is unique, but the service was not great. -- On the food -- It's BYO, and there's a wine shop along the same street. I know they're "tapas" but some of these are really stingy tapas. There isn't a portion difference between the $30 and $40 flights, only that the $40 has the previous flights options and a couple more. Each has 3 pieces in each small plate. Pork belly - tasted like pork bbq. Polenta - good and crispy. Spanish meatball - nothing exciting, it was served with some teriyaki sauce. Goat cheese - can't go wrong with goat cheese. Ahi tuna tartar with avocado - good and flavorful. Vanilla Crepe cake - the layers tasted like play dough. In the end, I can recommend the polenta and the ahi tuna tartar. -- On the service -- We didn't have a reservation, but as were walking away, the host amiably called us back to let us know that a spot opened up for us. Also it was nice that they had multiple dedicated waiters earnestly refilling water and bussing. The main reason it's 2 stars is that our waitress was rude from the get-go. We didn't really understand this, but looking at the other reviews afterwards now, it looks like there used to be a rule that you couldn't share tapas. I'm guessing the attitude started when we said we wanted to share tapas. I suppose if we weren't planning to spend $80pp then the expected tip is not worth one's time, or any courtesy. (On that note, having a rule against sharing family-style food is criminal.) We were asking general items about the menu, but we could tell she was getting annoyed. Being outside on the rocky sandbox, you could hear the crunching of the rocks with every patron. So combined with needing to talk through the mask, she told us clearly that 'I'm not going to compete with [the noise from the rocks]'. From the beginning we'd just imagined that she was having a bad day, but I can't say the the food was that amazing that we'd try it again to chance different service. My favorite tapas was a tie between the ropa Vieja and the short rib. Both were very good. My least favorite was the fried potatoes. Service was friendly and efficient. The lemonade is refreshing. It is a BYOB so bring your own. When we walked up there was a guy outside playing a guitar which was cool for the outdoor diners. He was gone by the time we left, unsure if that is normal or not but a cool touch. Esp with everything going on performers need extra cash so cool to earn some tips. We wanted to order the Wild Boar Paparadelle, but they were out. Our Pomegranate Martinis were excellent. For desert, we shared a Bread Pudding - which was enormous! Our server was warm and engaging. The room was it eclectic and cozy. A solo guitarist performed in the bar area. The only feedback I have was for our Ahi Tuna appetizer - which was excellent - but only 3 tiny pieces were served. Why three? Parties are most often in twos or fours. How do you share three? Four would make more sense - especially considering it was $18. After coming down from the wedding cloud, my heart is still warmed by the superb serve, love, and care we received during our pandemic wedding. Fortune had it, Under the Moon swooped in and saved the day when our original venue closed. Everyone from the owners, Eric and Santi, the wedding coordinator, Luz, and the whole staff was warm, inviting, and attentive leading up to the day and the day of our wedding. Even the days following, we felt well taken care of. They put so much thought and love in planning this event, help me with everything I needed, and had the safety of everyone in mind. I could relax being in their hands. Knowing the cafe from being a local in the city where their other location is, we knew the food would be top-notch and on point and for our special day, they delivered as we expected them to. When finished we asked for the check and upon servers return were asked about desserts... also we got recommended children's burger as we had two small kids and there's no children menu for a reason; they're like a dollar cheaper than the one on the entree menu. We opted for the four tapas selections on the bottom of the menu-we had the bacon wrapped stuffed dates, the plantains with peppers and meat, the short ribs with mashed potatoes, and the cold seafood medley with octopus. What a lovely Valentine surprise from my husband. We thoroughly enjoyed the pre fixe dinner and inventive cocktail menu. Everything was delicious and beautifully plated. I had a fried burrata on a thin slice of eggplant, my husband had lollipop lamb chops with a delicious fig jam. Then, two excellent salads and main courses of sea bass and short ribs. The polenta was the only disappointment as it was heavily salted. Two excellent cups of cappuccino later and we were on our way! Came here for a brunch on a Sunday. I did have a reservation for inside but I don't know if that was 100% necessary. Outside seemed a lot more crowded but I thought it was too hot. We were seated quickly and were able to order water, coffee, and the special watermelon margarita. Our server was perfectly attentive to make sure we were able to get refills and order our food. I ordered the avocado deviled eggs as my starter to split with the table and the special quiche as my main. Both dishes were just a little off, that's why I took a star. The avocado deviled eggs were just a little weird and I think I honestly just prefer regular deviled eggs. The quiche came with a side of potatoes...that were wet? I don't know what the sauce was but I prefer just crispy home fries. The quiche was also a little weird. In my picture you can see that there are big pieces of veggies which looks cool plated and in a picture but don't make for a good bite. It was good but not great. We have loved this amazing restaurant in Lambertville for a few years now and my husband and I just enjoyed our wedding anniversary brunch here yesterday. The drinks were delicious (I love all the spritzes on the menu!) and the avocado deviled eggs and duck confit Mac-n-cheese were divine. Then we had brioche French toast with blueberry compote and smoked salmon Bennie on Brioche. Amazing!!! So good we are bringing our daughters back for lunch today. My daughter and I dined here on a rainy Sunday afternoon. The parking is kind of scarce so arrive early for your reservation. Don't let that dissuade you from dining here though.
