Very over priced for a bar style restaurant. Service was mediocre. Food was okay, would eat it again but it is not congruent with the price.

During the COVID-19 social distancing, we ordered delivery. They use GrubHub. Our order was accurate, and the food was plentiful and fresh. We'll be having leftovers for our work from home lunch tomorrow. We ordered the Kilt Lifter stroganoff and a cheeseburger: delicious and flavorful. I live in the west valley, unfortunately due to my wife fighting cancer we had to have a another surgery at the medical center. Hospital food sucks so it was in walking distance. The service was great and the employees were incredible. If I lived in the east valley this would be my go to spot. Food is great! read more

Hard first impression.... I'll start with the good, then the bad, then the good again. I was amazed and drooling over the menu when I first came across it. I was happy to try the cheese dip, macaroni bites and hamburgers. Unfortunately the cheese dip didn't display a very strong cheese flavor. It is mixed with cream cheese and I felt the cream cheese was over powering the entire thing. The macaroni bites were fried but they were burnt. Literally dark brown. If you know anything about fried food it should be a nice golden color. So we got them redone and they came back perfect. (Although the waiter did say they "usually come like this" he was referring to the burnt ones, yikes. He told us the new batch may come back just as dark. So that has a lot to say about the level of comfort they always present the burnt macaroni bites) now let's talk about the hamburgers... I am basic I like cheese tomato, onion and ketchup. Once again I asked for well done, the meat was on the burnt side /: . My bf got the buffalo chicken hamburger and omg it was fantastic. The union queso is awesome! The fries of course were good (all fries are good). So you take this review how ever you want to take it. But I am a foodie addict and if I ever go back it would only be for the buffalo chicken hamburger. Those 2 appetizers made me worry to try all the other appetizers.. overall I guess it's an ok place for a last minute type of thing when another place is full. read more

This was our fourth visit to this restaurant. This place is clean and modern. Service has been consistently friendly, fast and attentive. Great selection of food and beer. My husband ordered fish tacos on our last visit. He said they were really good. I had the Cubano and sweet potato fries, both were delicious! We walked out of the restaurant both saying how much we really liked that place and we need to go there more often. read more

We checked this place out in Havasu before coming to our kids' soccer tournament here in Gilbert. The "pork" wings Trish recommended were awesome as everyone enjoyed their food. Came in on a Wednesday afternoon to grab a late lunch and a beer with the girlfriend. It took a while to get service which didn't really bother us because for some reason it looked like only two guys were working there even though it wasn't busy. So, we stayed for a while and finally got our beer, but for 30 minutes we waited and never came back to get our food order. Honestly though, the worst part was the entire time we sat next to two empty tables that hadn't been cleaned or bussed of the glasses and leftover food. Eventually what seemed to be a friend of the bartender grabbed some of the glasses from the tables and brought him to there, but she wasn't even working. It was really bizarre. I'm a fan of the Hub so I thought this would be cool, but this nonsense was just garbage. They need to get it together. read more

Food was pretty good. Everyone in our party was satisfied with their sandwiches and my southern chicken sandwich was actually quite good, with a good portion of chicken and served on a tasty jalapeno roll. Fries were decent. They are cut like thinly sliced steak fries, but nothing special. What mostly left me unimpressed with this place was overall service. On a Monday night, we were one of five tables with customers in a mostly empty restaurant. The bartender promptly took drink orders but our waitress took a while to get food order. I'm not sure if her shift ended as food was delivered by another gentlemen. He was very friendly but it took a while to order a second round for the group. I guess I just assumed service would be a little faster, especially with the place not being busy at all. Place seems like it could be a good spot to grab a drink and some bar food while watching the game, but my initial experience was just ok. read more

Super disappointed I have to write this. Our service was hands-down probably the worst service I think I've ever had at a restaurant. I only give it two stars because the food was still great. We got in the restaurant around 2 PM. I sat at the bar and waited for a table to be ready and for the rest of my party to get there. They came shortly after I did, they said the table and we sat down. Not joking it took 30 minutes for them to even take our order. The restaurant was not full by the way, and there were dirty tables that didn't get clean until we left TWO HOURS LATER! After they took our order it took another 30 minutes to get our food. Our waiter never checked on us, never refilled our waters. We ordered an appetizer that didn't come out until right before food did. And then we got our check finally, not kidding it took up another 15 minutes just pick it up. Granted, he was around, busing tables very slowly, sitting down in one of the booths, and had this look on his face like, "I don't want to be here anymore." It wasn't until I had to holler at him from across the restaurant to come pick it up and told him we're in a hurry we have to go, also told him we've been here for two hours. No apology. The guy was a total douche bag. He seemed very entitled and like we were irritating him. We didn't even do anything! Maybe I could justify that if we were requesting a lot of things, being loud, or making a huge mess, but that was not the case at all. The manager was also there, he also seemed really irritated. How is it that when we left the restaurant we all felt like we were the source of their frustration? It was awkward and uncomfortable and we probably won't be back. Looks like somebody else had the same experience today based off the day the reviews. It's unfortunate, because it's close and they have really good food. Maybe just stick with the bar if you ever decide to come here, because that girl was killing it. read more

My husband myself and our friends went on a Sunday. I enjoyed the halibut tacos my hubby had the shrimp and grits. My girlfriend had a ham and cheese sammie with Mac and cheese and her husband had a burger. We completely enjoyed our meals! Spot on!! We partook in some adult beverages having beers and ciders. After we enjoyed talking and laughing in a relaxing atmosphere we decided to have dessert. The cookie dough rolls with ice cream. Perfect ending to a delicious meal. Let me also say that 95% of the menus is scratch made; along with being locally grown or produced in AZ. Want to give a shout out to our server Alex she had great suggestion on the menus items. Along with her knowledge of the menus she has a wonderful sense of humor. She kept up with our fun banter and kept us laughing. I ate there in person and had the Fish and Chips. It was awesome! So a while later I decided to get it in Take Out. To my disappointment when I opened the box after I got home I found a small burnt piece of fish and a double order of tortilla chips which I had not ordered. No fries! I called and complained to the manager Nicole and she graciously refunded my money plus gave me a $20 gift certificate. Since I did not want to drive all the way back there I ordered the Fish and Chips on Door Dash. To my horror, when it arrived I received a large piece of fish that was undercooked, and no fries at all! I again called and complained to the manager Chris this time, he was so sorry also and refunded my money but I had no dinner. The fish was not edible in both orders. Chris said the problem is that you have to order the fries as a side. I rechecked their Door Dash menu however and it clearly states that the Fish and Chips comes with 'house fries and Cole slaw'. No where does it instruct you that the fries have to be ordered as a side to the 'Fish and Chips' or else you just get a piece of fish. I thought everyone in the world knows that 'Fish and Chips' means fish and fries. They still have not changed the Door Dash menu to reflect that the fries need to be ordered as a separate side. I gave them 2 stars because the managers were so nice and refunded my money both times without a problem. Otherwise the place would get 0 stars. Nicole said I am not the first to complain about this to them in fact she has been working on getting this fixed for about a month. Changing the wording on the menu would be a first step I would think. I will not be ordering take out or Door Dash from them again. read more

This is a new restaurant, though I've been to the hub before and I loved it. Ki was our server and he took such great care of my family and I. He was knowledgeable on the menu and made sure to communicate when things were happening, and why they were happening. This place has a good atmosphere but that's where it ends. Ive gone three times. The first time I ordered fish tacos and they brought me fish and chips. I told them I really want the tacos. It took so long to bring the tacos I asked for them to go because my dinner date had been done for a while. Second time I do have to say my husband and I went sat at the bar, our bartender was fabulous and the food was good. Took my family there last Wednesday. We started with the hummus for an appetizer. Not only was it the worst hummus Ive tasted they served it with a hand full of blue tortilla chips, two pieces of bruschetta bread and a bunch of veggies that made no since at all. For my cocktail I ordered a grapefruit vodka with club soda. I was brought tequila, the waiter even tasted it agreed it wasn't vodka but I was still charged for the tequila drink. The food took so long we asked for it to go AGAIN, we had a one year old with us and her time was up. Here is what made me decide this would be our last visit. It was the manager that had to bring my to go tacos the first time, it was also the same manager that cleared the hummus board. He had to of noticed that we barely touched it. This is our new favorite restaurant! We stopped in for lunch on a Saturday three weeks ago. The crab cakes on the special menu were the best Ive ever had. This is my favorite neighborhood bar! Dani is the main reason we keep coming back! We came on a Tuesday (heads up - her day off) and it just wasn't the same. The food is always great, I suggest the nachos and shoe string fries. I haven't had a bad thing here yet. Dani is personable, like someone you've known forever. It's easy to go to just any bar, but Dani makes it more enjoyable and personable. Union is always the pick for our night out as long as it's Wednesday through Sunday! Super stoked that there is a new spot for dinner around the corner from where my boyfriend and I live. I work in the industry as a server but I must say (whoever he was, he wasn't our server) approached our table within minutes of us sitting. He was a team player for our server. He got our drinks and helped us pick out an appetizer. Our server was a little frazzled but nothing to complain about. She was wearing glasses and had tattoos (don't know her name) but she was very prompt and had an awesome personality. But let's get to our apps. We had the spinach dip- BOMB!!! We then ordered a bacon burger (AMAZING) and the seafood ciopinno (ehh so-so) The only complaint was that I wasn't fond of the sauce in the seafood dish but it was good overall. Another nice thing was the manager/owner approached our table and made sure we were enjoying ourselves. We will definitely be back. Finally, a place for drinks and grub nearby that is worth going to! It took so long to remodel and get open, but if today was any indication, it was worth it. The staff was terrific - attentive, helpful, friendly. The beer selection excellent - the Goldwater ale made in Scottsdale was terrific! Food excellent - the bacon cheeseburger flavorful and well made. We sat outside, the misters made it comfortable. This location has been through a lot. What is this, the third or fourth grill pub in the place? I hope they succeed. This area of town needs something like it and hopefully they can attract a loyal clientele. Had the nachos shareable and it was so good! Awesome assortment of Arizona beer. You can do a flight of 5 for $5 bucks on Sunday for the all day happy hour. (Shareables were $2 off all day Sunday too.) We went during midday on a sunday so not busy at all. Lots of tv's. Lots of seating. Outsude seating as well with misters. This is a great location and the experience was nothing but remarkable. The service was great. We were greeted and seated right away. Very knowledgeable of the local beers and wines, and the two recommendations we took for beer were wonderful. Poutine appetizer was really good, as was the wake up call burger. Prices were a bit higher than expected but this is a more upscale bar so it's understandable. The food is NOT "just your average bar food" as another review says - not even close; it's trendy, modern, and delicious. Great beer selection (with at least 8 IPAs); menu is very large, even a little overwhelming, so it was tough to choose. Started with the Pork Crackling Poutine and everyone loved it. We have been here twice. The first time it was a full house and the service was a little slow. We ordered the spinach artichoke dip and that was great! For dinner i had wings and my fiancé had the cubano sandwich, so good!! But the second time we came in it took the server over 10 minutes to come over and get our drinks! It was happy hour so we wanted to enjoy it. Our dinner was good but the service really sucked the second time around. Was honored to be welcomed into union for their friends and family night/soft opening, and i was very impressed!! Food was great, the spinach dip was my favorite (I'd go back just for that).
