I came across United Transportation through a separate brokerage company (New Leaf Moving Group). New Leaf was absolute TRASH with horrible customer service, and I would never do business through them again. The only saving grace of my cross country move was the excellent movers and customer service I received from United Transportation. The movers during pick up and delivery were professional and polite. My move ended up costing more than I anticipated because the brokerage company did not provide accurate estimates. However, Alex from United Transportation customer service was able to provide a reasonable discount to accommodate my moving budget. I appreciated their services very much. Do not use this company! It was the worst experience for us from start to finish.)ur belongings were stored with them from8/23/23 to delivery on 1/30/24 in Texas. They only delivered 40% of our items. 60%of our belongings were either stolen or shipped to somebody else. United Transportation could not tell us what happened to our belonging. We filed a claim with them and they did not try to make the very bad situation right. we asked to go to arbitration and heard nothing back. They do not respond to our calls or e-mails. Bait and Switch Don't rely on the estimate United gives to you on the phone.  I told them the items I wanted to deliver.  But surprise, on the day of the delivery I was charged about $400 more, they said it was more than expected.  Also they said they will cover the cost of one flight of stairs for the move, but the driver claimed I had too many steps and charged about $75 more.  Let me tell you there were not too many steps.  In fact I lived in a very low level story because the garage that I lived above is partially underground, so it's more like 3/4 a story. I had to move that day that the deliverer came, so I swallowed my pride and begrudgingly paid. Learn from my lesson: Try not to be forced to move on the day of the delivery.  If the deliverer over charges you, you have the option to say no and try another deliverer. Additionally, I had them store my items and then deliver them to my new home later on. When I told them my new location, It took about three weeks and many phone calls to get them deliver my items back to me. Lastly, United lost one of my boxes and delivered another customer's box that they did not want to pick up. One positive side is that they are cheaper than some of their competitors especially their rental storage, but dealing with them may come with some hardships. I hired them for a potential move from California to Texas and they were storing my belongings until I figured out where I was going which was a month later, when it came time to get my belongs the owner with the strong accent Ben Dahr or wherever his legal name is not only disrespected me he became physical and as a result police were called and he was placed in handcuffs. At that time I just wanted my belongings, they were ordered to give me my stuff in exchange for my not pressing charges or being charged the excessive storage fee for on month totaling $1300, but they lied, as soon as our truck was loaded and after we left they illegally charged me for the fee and purposely withheld some of my belonging claiming they can't find them. I have an active case with the police department and am waiting for a court date. I will not give up until these horrible people pay. Do not hire them. BEWARE!!! This whole moving experience has been terrible. They were nearly 3 hours late on pickup day. They took 3 weeks to get to our new house and instead of the 24 hour heads up they called us and said they'd be at our house in less than 4 hours. Half of our stuff arrived damaged or broken. Almost all our boxes were destroyed which they said wasn't their fault. Stuff arrived with water damage or completely cracked or chipped. So I have updated information. I was under the impression that Agostis Moving and storage was the building they where in . But it turns out it was the Adwest Mailers building they are in. They are currently doing business out of the parking lot at that location and leaving belongings in the trucks over night at the Extended Stay America. This building size is 17k. And now there saying over 200 customer stuff as burnt. Also they recently sent me a message requesting to take down my reviews because they are in the process of a settlement with the City of Los Angels. And once settled then they will pay customers full value of the belongings. read more

Worst moving company I have ever used. And if you look through their reviews you can see that most of the positive reviews are bots and or paid reviews. For my move I had Problems with scheduling and in the end they showed up 2 days later than I had booked... how does that happen?! Can you imagine?! Our move could not have gone smoother. We were moving from California to Texas and looked at multiple companies. United was fairly priced and they were very professional on the phone so went with them. They arrived on time as promised expertly packed everything, then went to a second and third location to pick up the rest of belongings. They could not have been nicer and more helpful. Absolutely a horrible company - Avoid at all cost. United Transportation will give you an inexpensive estimate to get your business. Then, the actual expenses are much higher (from cost of boxes to adding 10% fuel surcharges; it wouldn't matter, which directions you are heading- they will charge you this fuel surcharge). We have accepted all these extra costs, but to to top it off, they are extremely careless with moving - they broke my dearest instrument (Lute) into pieces. I showed the broken instrument to the driver, he told me to take a picture and email it to the company. Totally, hard-broken and full of tears in my eyes, as writing this message. Third, they will never deliver your furniture on time. They will be late days to weeks. This is just beyond what is expected in any professional company. I may have forgiven everything if they did not broke my Lute. I am just hard-broken. I am not even mentioning what they did to my new freezer that I bought about three months ago (dents all over). We opted for the FREE 30 day Storage they offer while we look for a new place in our new city, our things are still in Storage but let me tell you about the first phase of our Moving experience... First of all, Moving is so stressful, especially with a small child but when Ben and his crew came to the rescue it took a lot of the stress away!!!! They were VERY PROMPT. We setup the pickup date and a day prior to that, I got a phone call for confirmation and pickup time. They showed up earlier than scheduled, which for me was fantastic! DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM. We scheduled a cross country move with this company and booked everything through Tommy who was communicative during the process. Then when it comes to the week of our move, the movers were supposed to come on Tuesday and we get a call from Tamara on Monday saying they thought they were supposed to come Wednesday but can't even do that and will not be able to assist until Friday. We had to be out of our house on Friday because that was our closing day. After 3 attempts to see if they could come sooner. They said maybe they can come Thursday night then Tommy confirmed it would not be until Friday morning. When we finally called to ask about getting refunded and that we would like to cancel this move due to inability to provide service on the date requested. They all of a sudden we're able to move their whole schedule around to assist us on Wednesday. At this point after multiple altercations we lost our trust in this company and who's to say that they would be on time. In addition they are still not providing service on the date initially scheduled (Tuesday). We spoke with the supervisor Alex who was horrible to us and stated that since we are cancelling they are refusing to refund us our $500 deposit and he tried to say that the whole thing was our fault! After this phone call I got an unauthorized charge from this company of $775!! They are crooks! How am I paying you $1,275 for a job you didn't even do!?!? Save your money, time, and sanity and please book with a different company who will be better qualified, more professional, and ON TIME with your move! read more

DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY. We booked with them for a cross country move CA to the east coast. I am currently camped out in our new home with no furniture. Expected delivery on the 9th of this month and currently still waiting for our items 12 days later. We have called numerous times and have been given the run around. I still have no idea when our belongings will arrive. Additionally we were quoted for $2000 less than what we paid for shipping. When the movers came to pick up they tacked on the additional amount. This made it impossible to negotiate as we had to be out that day. The main problem has been transparency. This is critical for moving customers across country. I am writing this review as I still have not received my belongings after three weeks. Quite possibly the worst moving company on the planet. No transparency about the location of your belongings. You get an order number that is worthless because no one knows where the driver is. This company needs to be shut down immediately. Surprised no one has sued. UPDATE I think I feel obligated to inform everyone to stay as far away from this "company" as possible. And based on a bit of detective work I will lay out how this"business" operates. 1. This feels like a operation run by someone's cousin who majored in business for one semester. The manager is always "out of the country" and dispatch is never around. All lies. They have 4 trucks based on their DOT#. What this company does is take orders and wait until a truck is full before they send it out. This is perfectly reasonable if they would be up front with you. The reason they probably lie is because if they told you you might need to wait a month to get your stuff your would walk away. The negative reviews are obviously hurting business (early summer is the busiest move season) so they are desperate. 2. The staff/family of said cousin are there to lie to you until you get your stuff. Dont believe anything they say. Watch out for the lie about a truck being broken down in Texas. Our stuff obviously didn't leave the warehouse until I wrote my original post. Any estimate they give, you should take it and burn it. Double any original estimate and they will charge you $600 for the unloading crew at the end. That's not included in the remainder. 3. They leave the drivers out to hang. The drivers are fine. No problem with them. BUT if Ana or Tammy tell you they dont know where the driver is they are lying. They have the drivers number. But your stuff is not ever in a secure location on the road. Our driver arrived at our location without a unloading crew scheduled so he slept in his truck in a random parking lot overnight, risking fines. The driver needs the work but he shouldn't have to deal with these people. 4. All of the five star reviews on this page are suspect. They bribed me while my stuff was still on the road to get a discount on the last $600 hidden fee to take down my review and change it to a five star review. They also offered a $100 gift card. I noticed once I worked it out with my driver to unload the truck myself I didn't hear from Ana again. Didn't even ask if my stuff arrived ok. She spent 30 minutes the day before trying to get us to take down these posts instead of booking a crew to unload the truck (which is why I had to unload the truck myself). 5. If enough people file complaints federal motor carrier safety administration, they have 7 complaints as if June 2019. I figure if they hit 10 they my have their licenses suspended. Unbelievably frustrating, our belongings were 2 weeks late. We were left sleeping on an inflatable bed and eating off of paper plates. Finally the container was delivered. Movers were suppose to arrive between noon and three pm. Well now they called and said they will not be here until 6:00. Update- I'm happy to say that United stepped up to the plate and worked hard to make sure I was satisfied with my moving experience. They explained the situation to me and where there was a break down in communication. On top of that, they credited me $630 for packing and material and are going to replace my broken items. Moving sucks, things happens and things don't always go according to plan, but when a company admits its faults and then works hard to make amends and make sure the customers is satisfied, that goes a long way! Tami was awesome. You could tell that she really cared and wanted to make things right and you know what? She did! It's easy to write a bad review when you feel service didn't meet your expectation or you were dissatisfied with the outcome but most don't take the time to update when a company made good on their promise. Although there were some bumps in the road, Tami extended herself to make sure the bumps were smoothed out and I walked away happy at the end of the day. Isn't that all that matters? Thank you ! Please be forewarned about United Transportation (UT and also know as All Ways Transportation among other names). And please take the time to read through reviews that have been posted by real people who have suffered at the hands of this company. These people include those like myself who hired UT directly along with many others who worked with brokers who partnered with UT. More importantly, pay close attention to this company's history with DOT and private insurers along with the various names its owners and managers have used in an effort to outrun its nefarious practices. Allegedly, all of our belongings were lost to a fire at this company's rented warehouse where those belongings were being staged instead of being moved to our home as UT had been contracted to do. City fire investigators have ruled the blaze was an act of arson. Two separate private insurance investigators I spoke with told me they had been forbidden from viewing the damage even from a safe distance outside of the property. Aside from private insurance, movers are required to provide basic insurance on your shipment. This insurance is often based on the cubic feet of your shipment converted to pounds and then a dollar amount. It's been six months and UT has not paid. read more

We had a time limit to be out of our house because it was sold. Dustin and Daniel showed up to do the job. Understanding our situation they worked continuously until they got the truck loaded. They work from 9:30 until 8 in the evening. They made sure everything was wrapped, protected, stacked, and even asked questions along the way. I would give a 1 star because I can't give a 0. Please DO NOT go through this company for your move. For starters, they are not a moving company, but more so a broker. They partner with other moving companies to make deliveries. They gave me one quote and the movers almost doubled the price. when this happened, I couldn't get anyone on the phone to save my life. I called and called and nothing. They did not meet the pick up date which means I paid for storage that I'm Not using. They stated oh let's see how we can accommodate you. If I was accommodated I have a million dollars in my account and I don't have that. The moving company don't tell you anything about what's going on with your items. The window for my items are the date I placed down + 2 weeks. That's a huge variance. Once they get your money and you are locked in the customer service is HORRIBLE. If you are reading this, save yourself the headache and heart ache. They don't care about people at all. I felt bad because they kept calling after I didn't answer their call, because I don't answer calls I don't know. I referred someone and the exact same thing has happened to them.
