What a hidden gem off Ventura Blvd! I'll start with really the only negative things here - the parking. Yes it seems the space is targeting the bank building it's located it, but don't let the location discourage you from stopping by. They validate to park in the garage and there is plenty of metered parking outside. I ordered a variety of items and while waiting noticed the spacious area which would be great to sit and relax to eat or quick to find for grab and go orders. Starting off with the pastrami breakfast burrito - this thing is MASSIVE. A soft warmed tortilla packed full of lean pastrami, nicely fried eggs, so much cheese, and some of the crispiest hash browns I've ever had in a breakfast burrito. It's not a mushed scramble of who knows what and the potatoes aren't those lazy hashbrowns that haven't even been fried or crisped up. This is a real contender. Next up, the chicken pesto panini. Crispy bread stacked full of chicken breast with fresh light pesto, sundried tomatoes, and again plenty of cheese! It's such a great and light sandwich I would order this again and again. The spicy Italian sub is layered beautifully with all the meats, veggies, and the great mayo-sauce concoction you typically find in old school delis. The bread is firm but soft and holds everything so well, nothing was slipping out after each bite! One of my favorite things here is the in-house baked goods. I did not try the croissants but they looked amazing, I did try the cookies though! They have chocolate chip, red velvet, and a red velvet-chocolate chip mix. All of them are amazing but I think I like the red velvet slightly more because nobody does red velvet cookies as good as they are here. Soft, gooey, not overly sweet, and you don't get that overly-sugar or butter flavor as you eat it. (Crumble better watch out) Happy to support a small business and will be happy to return!

The Chinese chicken salad was okay, unfortunately the chicken breast was quite chewy and overcooked but the salad was well prepared and the service as good seeing that the gentleman provided a delicious freshly baked cookie complimentary. I'll come back hoping that the chicken is better next time.

Listen. If you like breakfast burritos, sandwiches this place is the place for you. Located on the second floor of a building. I was impressed by the variety of the menu. The owner is a chef and broke down ingredients of multiples menu items. I got to taste them too. It was better than good it was amazing. Order to go or stay enjoy the ambiance of the beautiful busy street of encino.

We were extremely excited to try the breakfast burritos because of the incredible reviews that others posted about how life changing it was. However, be warned that breakfast burritos are no longer offered after 11am!!! We got the chicken pesto panini and the Chinese chicken salad instead. The chicken pesto panini was pretty good -- the bread was crunchy and toasted perfectly, the chicken was sorta dry but it wasn't the end of the world, the sun dried tomatoes were a really nice addition to the pesto flavor, and the size was great!! The Chinese chicken salad dressing was pretty sweet but worked well with everything in the salad. I loved the crunch of the wonton skins and the juicy bursts of the mandarin oranges. The chicken was also kind of dry which is why the dressing was crucial for the salad! The man making my order asked if I would have liked my salad tossed, but you can also ask for the dressing to be on the side. TIP 1: PARK BEHIND WALGREENS. Parking is pretty confusing and tough in this area. There is limited metered street parking right outside so we parked in the Walgreens parking lot. There is validated parking if you buy something at Walgreens which makes the parking free for up to 60 mins! TIP 2: This restaurant is a little hard to find! It is located inside the City National Bank building and is on the second floor. Follow signs to suite 210 and look for a door that says The Eatery TIP 3: GO BEFORE 11AM FOR BREAKFAST ITEMS!

First impression: the store itself is really great. They have a fantastic selection of things to try (dry, deli, frozen, snacks, etc) without being overwhelming. Food: ordered three sandwiches - Spicy Dom, Brasato, and Premio. Our little lunch group devoured each one, sharing little pieces of it so we could try all three, but not wanting to give too much away because we wanted it all to ourselves. The bread was the perfect balance of chewy, light, and crispy to hold all the yummy goodness inside. Not sure why some people are complaining about service here, because every single staff person could not have been nicer or more helpful. Cannot wait to go back and try more things!

The Italian roll was nicely toasted and layered with spicy salame, spicy ham, mortadell, spicy soppressata, lettuce, tomatoes, red onions, pepperoni and spicy giadiniera spread and Italian dressing. The best way is to eat it freshly made there. We took it to go and the bottom bread got a little soggy but overall a delicious sandwich. HOT CLASSIC MEATBALL- This was for was just ok. The meatballs didn't feel let meatballs at all, more let chunky ground beef. The marinara sauce was good. FYI there's a little wait when after ordering your sandwiches so be patient. I waited about 10-15 minutes for my sandwich since there was one person ahead of me. Until my next visit.

It's a small Italian deli that hits the way you want it to. To the right as soon as you walk in, there's seats and a table where you can wait for your to go order or to eat there. The entire shop was clean, neat and orderly. It's sensory overload walking in. There's a lot going on. The menu is massive. I knew what I wanted after doing some homework before arriving so I was ready. The lady that took my order couldn't have been more of a pleasure to deal with. I placed my order, paid, tipped and sat down. A few minutes later, I had what is probably the best sandwich I've had this year. I should have sat in the parking lot and enjoyed it but I wanted the elbow room because I knew this was a monster. After I got home and unwrapped this behemoth, I instantly knew it was worth the drive. The Dillinger (which is what I ordered) has Pastrami, Meatballs, Italian Sausage, Pepperoni, Mozz Cheese, Garlic Butter and Marinara Sauce. If there's a better (big back) sandwich, I'll wait for your reply. This was soooooo gooood. In every bite you could taste each ingredient separately and it was an explosion of flavors. I ordered a small cup of their marinara sauce to dip/drizzle on each bite.....couldn't have been a better decision. Worth it. The 3 ladies that were working the front counter (around noon on 4/23) were the best. Just an all around great experience and fantastic food. I'll be back soon FOR SURE!!!!

The family vibe is very present and the impressive bulletin board (Cricca's Community) really brings out the neighborhood feel of the place. It's better than the yellow pages, offering everything from handyman services and guitar lessons, to divorce attorneys and mobile RV repair. But I digress. Did I mention how massive the sandwiches are?! I went with the two most popular items on the menu, starting off with the Al Capone (hot Pastrami, double meat, on crusty bread). This is an excellent sandwich, and the meat is pretty lean - not a lot of fat). I also ordered the Godfather (cold Italian Sub - Roast Beef, Turkey, Ham, Capocollo, Salami, Pepperoni, Swiss Cheese and Provolone). Also, delicious. You rarely get turkey and roast beef in an Italian sub - so good. The service was very friendly and helpful. There are a few indoor tables, in case you can't wait for that first bite. I wish I lived closer so I can visit more often; I would be here all the time. Definitely one of the best sandwiches in LA. If you haven't been to Cricca's, then you don't know sandwiches.

The ribeye arais was the standout--crispy, toasted pita on the outside with insanely juicy, well-seasoned ribeye packed inside. The lamb arais was just as impressive--slightly more gamey (in a good way), super tender, and loaded with spices that gave it a deep, savory kick. You can tell they're not holding back on quality or flavor here. The sides tied everything together--the fresh tomato salad cut through the richness, and the pickles and sauces added that extra punch to keep every bite interesting. Overall, this spot is all about simple food done really right--crispy, juicy, flavorful, and satisfying. Definitely a must if you're craving something hearty and different.

My choice was Lamb Arias, to go. 4 crisp and charred triangular pieces fresh off the taboon, accompanied with regular and green tahini sauces, and a small, unimpressive tomato onion salad ($26). The lamb meat was juicy, well seasoned and cooked perfect. Also, as a side, I added the Potatoes "Medura" ($7). This was truly amazing. Thick longitudinal wedges, well browned on the outside and soft on the inside. Overall, an unforgettable experience. Excellent service, fantastic food, and an unforgettable warm and comfortable experience.
