We had delivery to our hotel room from Upper Crust Pizza so I can only attest to the food and not the actual restaurant. The delivery was prompt and the delivery guy was nice. We ordered six pizzas and four salads. The salads were a nice mix of vegetables including alfalfa sprouts, carrots, cucumbers, onions, lettuce, and tomatoes. The pizzas we got were green chili, meat feast, pepperoni, and vegetable. The pizzas were a good size and were delicious! The crust is on the thin side but is crunchy. The toppings were perfect proportions so you got a little of everything in one bite. The green chili was my favorite. If you are looking for take-out or delivery pizza, I would highly recommend this joint. read more

Between my wife, I, and my family eating at their Old Santa Fe Trail and their recently opened U.S. Route 285 locations, they always offer great service and fresh food alike! Earlier today at their Route 285 location, my wife and I "built" our own pizza with pepperoni and pineapple on a classic Upper Crust pizza crust with crunch and well-layered sauce. Without a doubt, it was one of the best pizzas we've had in months! Totally worth the stopover, alongside a refreshing selection of New Mexico-crafted beers such as La Cumbre, Marble, and Santa Fe brewing companies. We got there at 9:30 pm, they completely ignored us! On yelp and their sign outside it said they didn't close until 10 pm. All the lights were on and 3 employees wouldn't even look at us. The hotel staff recommended Upper Crust and we ordered the margarita pizza. We determined it was a "grey" pizza: not gross but certainly not impressive or even actually tasty. Decent pizza - good crisp crust... but it ain't no New York coal oven za. ;) But, for what it is, delicious. The main reason we went, however, was because a friend recommended the greek salad. ?? Ok, whatever, but we ordered one and it arrived -- the guy delivering it to our table just kept staring at it before setting it down. Finally he said, "I believe this is the prettiest salad I've ever made". Obviously proud of his work. I asked if he wanted a picture, and he said "yes, do you have a camera???" and posed with his creation. Pretty hilarious. It was a damn good looking salad - artfully arranged and generous on the portions. Damn tasty too. Another nice touch was the live music. There was a guitar player who just started his set as we were leaving, sounded lovely. Had a call-in order stood in line for 30 minutes just to pick up my order there is no window for call-in orders. By the time I got my food, it was cold and gross! So upset with the way it is running. It's one of the best pizza's in town, but still doesn't compare all that well with other towns. The crust is crispy bubbly, the sauce sweet. A bit away from the plaza but a neat location near the capitol and Inn of the Five Graces. They have outdoor and patio seating, which is nice if the sun is not directly on you. Plus Upper Crust was almost literally just a few steps from where I was staying. I ordered the Meat Treat pizza (nice touch that they allow you to add a veggie topping to cut the meatiness a bit). The crust was thick/puffy around the perimeter -reminded me a bit of pizza I had in Hawaii a few years back but less overwhelming crust-wise. The cheese was nice and gooey and toppings were substantial. Certainly not the best meal I enjoyed in NM, but good enough for one lazy, low-maintenance dinner. read more

Surprisingly great pizza, coming from a Chicago pizza snob. Crust is crispy but has a just-soft-enough middle. Sauce is flavorful and well-proportioned and the toppings are on point (they've even got green olives). Small is perfect for one-two people. There's a parking lot around back to avoid the historic plaza congestion. Only complaint is that price seems a bit steep, but for the quality, I can't complain much, it was great! We were so hungry at our recent touristy trip to Santa Fe and we bumped into this place by Chapel San Miguel so we decided to give it a try. We got the New Mexican Pizza, the small one, which was under 15 bucks just for snacks. the pizza was of course, you guessed, spicy, and it somehow lacks in the meat department. the cheese was great, watch out because it is extremely hot. i would say they serve their pizzas not ready to munch on, i would suggest giving it a few minutes to make it "eatable" 3 stars because our pizza took so long and we were the only one there. the place is ala-pueblo style, which is definitely unique and the experience is just ok. i've had better pizzas. read more

For some reason I always avoided this place. Maybe because I felt that I could eat pizza anywhere and it wasn't something I searched for in Santa Fe. I had walked past it a thousand times. This time I was showing a friend the town. It was convenient since we were strolling around the plaza, so why not? We walked in and ordered at the counter. Then decided to have a seat outside since it was nice. Their little porch is perfect and I'm glad it didn't feel packed full of people, even though quite a few had sat to wait for their pie. We got the margherita pizza with wheat crust. The crust was perfect. It was crisp on outside and soft and hot on the inside. It pulled apart just right. The sauce was really nice and light and they didn't have alot on it. It had just the right amount of cheese. I was stuffed by the time we got done! The food is good, fresh. They have a patio, and it's pretty close to downtown/the plaza (aka walkable). We had a chef salad and small pizza, with sodas and it was $30. Not bad but not great prices. Snow didn't stop their driver from bringing us our order, and it was all delicious, as usual. As a vegan, I ordered the vegetarian sub without the cheese and it was great. When in our second home in Northern New Mexico we always stop for lunch at Upper Crust Pizza. For the last--I don't know--15 years, we have never had a more perfectly prepared "Combo" pizza. It is their star pizza at the top of the menu. A small, 6 slice pizza was fine for my wife and me. Also, they have the best beer, and on-tap beer, in town. Enjoy! read more

This place is horrible, I have given it a three strikes you are out rule.. first strike hair in pizza and was burnt, second strike customer service is horrible everyone working looks so upset and treats you in that manner. Like the are mad because you are there! Third strike I didn't even make into the restaurant, I was greeted by the same negative attitude so I left. I hadn't mentioned that the burnt pizza with hair mind you was $23 small pizza small salad and drink. Consistently delicious. Odd as it may seem, we do our opera tailgating enjoying a tasty pizza (or two!) from Upper Crust. Our parking lot neighbors always include some with sterling silver wine chillers and even a candelabra or two, but I'm certain we are enjoying great food right along with them. read more

Fully staffed restaurant. No training or attempt to be efficient. I watched as my order sat for 30 minutes until I finally asked and confirmed it was my order, just hanging there by the cash register as everyone walked right by it. Total time for a lunch to-go order of one slice of pizza and a little side salad: 1 hour. The pizza isn't good enough to merit ever going back. There are other pizza places within the same area that are better, faster, and provide excellent customer service. This place does not. read more
