We love eating here. Their pizza is delicious, their salads are fresh and so tasty, my son and husband love their wings. I have had their chicken parm which is very good and I had their pan crusted fish tonight it was so flavorful and crispy. They have great appetizer specials too. We prefer sitting at the bar or in the bar area when our son is with us. Alex is a wonderful bartender and server. She knows how to make you feel at home and well taken care of for sure. This is for a take out order - I got a Florentine pizza (small size) and damn it was one of the best white pizzas I've had in Oklahoma. It was so mozzarella'y and chickeny and no marina sauce (which can be a problem for a low fodmap person)... the dough was so crusty! I absolutely loved this. We have had other things from this restaurant and they are always great. But man this Florentine pizza was so good I had to comment. read more

We are happy to give Upper Crust another try*** I brought my family in Saturday night for dinner and everything was great, the food, the service, all exceptional. We decided to go back for dinner on Sunday so that my husband and mother in law could try it out too. Well, our experience was definitely not the same. I ordered the brick chicken which was recommended by the server. It was horrible, it was so dry and hard, it was inedible. I told the server this and all he did was take my plate and throw it in the garbage. He didn't offer me anything else. I was shocked and turned off by the lack of customer service. I also ordered a cookie when our food was dropped off so that he could put it in right away. We later found out he didn't order our dessert until after even though we intentionally ordered it ahead to save time. Overall I don't know if I would go back. I was disappointed, I was so excited to have discovered this place, we just moved to the area and also I have client lunches and dinners all the time so I though I had discovered our new spot. read more

Today, we had what I call a "Dining Experience." Upper Crust was the most dining fun and pleasure we have had in a while. Here's why: 1. Our server, Chance, was fun, professional, and informative. Absolutely 5 stars for service. 2. Our food was awesome! Bill ordered a meatball sub which came with a "side" salad. I say "side' in quotes because it was almost a full salad! There was enough for two of us. The lettuce was crisp and sweet. There were thin slices of crispy, slightly-tart apples, walnuts, and feta cheese scattered over it. (It comes with gorgonzola, but we don't like blue cheese.) The dressing was some kind of olive oil dressing that was refreshing and light. Excellent! I ate some of his meatball sub. It was so delicious that I wanted to eat all of it, but I was saving my appetite for the pizza. I got the special white pizza with mushrooms and covered in spinach. Chance said it was a salad on a pie, and he wasn't joking! There was so much spinach, it kept falling off the pizza. There was nothing for it to "hook" it on. I'm not a fan of white pizza, but it was good. However, I prefer red sauce, and I didn't like the spinach falling off. Although it was delicious, I'm going to order red sauce next time. We ended with apple pie for dessert. It was so AWESOME! It looked like a pizza and had the flakiest crust ever. Filled with yummy apples and walnuts and covered with vanilla bean ice cream. I LOVE this pie ! AND, the restaurant took off the pie from our bill because if was our anniversary! 3. The atmosphere was enjoyable, clean, and fun. We went at 11:00 so there was no crowd. We got right in and did not feel rushed throughout our meal. I checked out the ladies room and it was literally sparkling! There were little glittery things in the floor! TV in the mirror and hand lotion on the sink. It's the little things that make a dining experience memorable. 4. Price: Our bill including the pie was $38 plus tip. We have been here twice and I want to like this place, I really do. There is a lot about it that I do. But overall, it's a 2/5 for me. I'll give the pros and the cons... Pros: The atmosphere and décor are very nice. I enjoy being a setting like this. Their open-concept kitchen/dining room/bar/host stand is very appealing and with all the windows there is a lot of natural light. The house salad was really delicious with premium ingredients and house made dressings. The lettuce was cut perfectly and the amount of dressing they used to toss the salad was just right. Our server did a good job answering our questions and we never felt rushed. The table was very clean and we only had to ask for a refill once which is better than most places. Cons: The prices were too high for what you get. Our bill was $42 for 2 glasses of house wine, one pepperoni pizza plus one sausage topping, and one small house salad. Including tip, we have hit the $50 mark, folks. Not a good value. The worst part is that we went for the deal they offer on Sundays from 4:00pm-6:30pm which is a pizza and carafe of wine for $20 (I think those are the specifics,) but they had no white wine and would not make a substitution with house wine. To me that was like a bait and switch tactic. We had the server ask the manager if they would substitute the wine and he would not but he had the server assure us that the wine had been ordered. Obviously, that did nothing to help our situation. Despite the delicious salad, we were disappointed with the food overall. The pizza was way too greasy, (even for pepperoni and sausage.) The manager did stop by to check on us, which was appreciated, but he did not offer his apologies for being out of the feature. Value and good pizza are what you should get from a place like this. Horrible experience. Food can be good. Not this time. Service was slow but she did try. I have no problem with the waitress. Management needs help. Obviously overwhelmed. I know I complained. They were out of what I came for. I settled for something different, only to be told there was a miscommunication. Here's really what you ordered... What was brought was inedible...just drenched in sauce. All other pizzas ordered had a light, correct amount. The one brought to me was dripping in it. I've had this pizza before. Why I came back more than a few times. Why I was disappointed when unavailable and then excited when told it was. The pizza that came out with a quarter inch of sauce was disappointing at best. Upper crust pizza has always been my family's go- to pizza place but the last few times I have visited I have been left unsatisfied. First of all my cheese pizza was served to me cold. The cheese was left rubbery and easy to peel off. My next visit was also disappointing. I shared a half cheese half pepperoni with my sister. while my sisters side was perfectly proportionate, mine was cut in all different sizes and much smaller than my sisters. Not a place that will be on my regular go to. We were a largish group for lunch (9) and we know that so we're pretty patient. Also noted the restaurant was pretty slow for lunch. We got seated right away and there were plenty of other open tables. Our waitress was great and handled it like a champ. Always had full drinks. Was very friendly. The bad though. We ended up waiting an hour or more for our food to get to the table. And the food was mediocre. Definitely not worth the price. $20 a person for a pizza that was about on par with a Pizza Hut or dominos. And I'd probably take either of those even if upper crust was as cheap as a Pizza Hut or dominos. Blaze pizza is a similar style of pizza and it's only $12 for a build your own whatever toppings you want. Vs yours which is $13 PLUS $2 for every topping for the same size pizza. Just not the quality of the other Hal restaurants. Charleston's is fantastic for example. read more

My all-time favorite type of pizza, is pepperoni pizza. So it's only right that I got The Rucci. Also, brick oven pizzas are very good. It was greasy, but a good greasy. Brick oven pizzas can come off as dry. It was full of flavor & they definitely weren't stingy withe pepperoni slices. They have some interesting salad dressings (I usually don't eat crust but will is a place has good sauces). Their ranch was incredible & they have an interesting oregano & vinaigrette salad dressing that was zesty. Make sure to check for their daily specials. It's a 1/4 of a pizza of their pizza of the day along with a side. They also have their drinks of the day, speaking of which, their drink selection is massive, all of the wine you can think of & then some. On December 20, 2020 I attempted to complete an online order for pick up using their website. After all the items were added to the cart, their system wanted either my login or establish a new id. I selected new id and was presented with a page asking for a lot of information and demanding some type of agreement of some kind. I was in a hurry and not inclined to give them all of the information they were asking for anyway. They need to add a "guest" option. I called the restaurant about 6:05PM. I told the lady my order and while getting my credit card I changed one of the items. She told me that she needed to go get a manager to change one of the items?? She then said that I should just pay when I arrived for the pick up. She told me the order would be ready between 6:30 and 6:35. I told her that I needed to pick up the order at 6:45. She then said they did not take call in orders for pickup at future times. Really, 10 minutes later?? Why not future times? I guess I was supposed to speed across town and run all the red lights to accommodate them. I told her to forget the order. We enjoyed our dinner from another place. There are a lot of other options in Tulsa and who needs their arrogant attitude. Caleb called me from the restaurant after this post and we had a discussion about some of their processes. He listened and we talked about a number of things. He was very customer focused and indicated that he had spoken with some of their employees about their order taking process. Ordered pizza from Upper Crust. Had it door dashed. Not cheap about $27. Reported it to door dash, they offered $2.44. The entire pizza was burnt and arrived cold. Couldn't eat it and I didn't serve it to my grandchildren either. Please verify the quality of the food before sending it out. Ordered delivery. Wood fired pizza...really? Hard to believe, because nothing was caramelized or crispy on this pizza, so the oven couldn't have been that hot. The crust was like spongy bread. Not flavorful or fun to chew. I doubt that they make their dough in house, but for $18 for a 12 inch pizza that should be standard, because pizza dough is cheap to make! I'm traveling. One of my favorite places to eat when visiting Tulsa. The food is always fresh and delicious, the staff is always friendly and attentive. I also appreciate the wine list. My favorites are the farmer market salad and the margarita pizza (the garlic chips in the latter make a good pizza great!). A new favorite is the artichoke salad with chicken added. We love to dine in, but given the rising cases we chose to order on-line and do curbside pickup - WHAT A DISASTER! Order was 30 minutes late. When we finally spoke to a manager her response was, "You should see the chaos back there". Managing the chaos is her job! The first time the order came out (30 minutes late) it was incomplete. When we finally got our entire order it was obvious one of the pizzas had been sitting on the counter a LONG time waiting on the others. First time visit was delicious! We loved the new burrata appetizer (served with pesto, balsamic & prosciutto!) and the fresh house salad was just the perfect complement on a hot summer evening. I was ready to veer off of my normal carry out pizza options so we tried the Upper Crust. Fortunately, their menu is online so you can confidently get it together and be ready when you call. When you do call, the first responder has to refer you to the second tier for a carry out order. Not crazy about that setup and if I were to make a suggestion, it would be to have a direct carryout line that goes to the responsible area. They ask if you are familiar with their system and proceeded to tell me about two special parking places that are monitored by cameras so they can serve you when you drive up. I didn't do the pickup, so I don't know how that actually played out but the pizza was ready quicker than I expected and apparently the process was efficient. Ordered the 'numbers' pizza. When they say spicy sausage, they mean it. It is presented in a small crumble which I liked, however the distribution of the ingredients had more of a thrown together appearance but that may be some artisan style. It would be difficult to share the pizza with everyone getting to try all of the ingredients. The crust had a nice flavor and tasted homemade. The menu didn't state a size but two people had two pieces left over for a future snack. The online menu includes a beer and wine list which I appreciate.
