The place looks fairly new and nicely decorated. The service was pretty good very attentive. The food is dressed up very nice on the dish were ok maybe some items better than others. The prices a just little over the top I can't say it is somewhere I would be excited to visit again. Total spent $70 which doesn't really compare to some of my other favorites in the area. read more

Two visits in two days--that's how good Urban Egg Plano is. Stopped in Friday for their soft opening lunch and liked it so much I was back Saturday for breakfast. The Chicken and Waffle stole the show: crispy fried chicken over a Belgian sugar waffle with bacon jam, roasted espresso butter, hollandaise, and green onion. Every bite was ridiculous. Those baked-to-order cinnamon rolls? Soft, flaky, loaded with cream cheese frosting and bacon jam--split one with someone because they're generous. Washed it all down with the Cure juice (pineapple, vanilla, OJ, coconut water) and honestly couldn't have asked for a better meal. Service was just as solid. Juliza took care of me Friday, Kae had me Saturday--both were phenomenal. Shoutout to Darnell, Jenny, Randy, Rose, Daniel, and the rest of the crew for making it feel effortless. Went here this past weekend for brunch to celebrate my birthday. We made reservations ahead of time and were sat as soon as we arrived. I had the pineapple martini (forgot exact name) but it was very refreshing and a nice summertime drink. I had the breakfast tacos and they can filled with the perfect amount of food. We went to "The Egg" on Sunday at 11 pm. Very busy day and time, will make reservations in the future. The ambiance was clean and crisp. Wait time was 20 min, but willing to wait was worth it. The menu was "outstanding," and service was spot on! The quality of breakfast was great and quick. A tad pricey, but eating out is getting more expensive. I decide to give this place a try. I ordered the Maui Waui mimosa and Tuscan Benedict. I was excited about the idea of tomato, basil and prosciutto. I was a bit disappointed to find one small leaf of basil on each side, making it impossible to get basil w every bite. The hollandaise was good, there was just enough prosciutto to compliment the eggs and tomato. Just enough drizzle as well. I did ask for over med no runny white but still had runny white. I hate that that's such a hard ask but it is what it is. Runny white makes it inedible for me but tried to eat around as best as I could. I think with a couple more leaves of basis this would have been a great meal. Hoping they're just working out the kinks. It came with hash-browns which was a good portion and cooked well. Service was great. It's a little loud so could be difficult to have a conversation. Good variety of options on the menu and I will probably come back to try the lemon ricotta pancakes. read more

I haven't been inspired to write a review in a long time, and especially for a breakfast spot, but Urban Egg brought me back. Newly opened (Dec. 15), cute spot located at Preston and Park in Plano. It has a patio which will be buzzing in the spring! If they keep the energy of the staff and quality of the food they'll be around for a long time. I mean a long time! I had the Steak and Eggs with loaded hash browns. The flat iron steak comes topped with roasted espresso butter (who knew), sautéed mushrooms and onions, they could serve each by itself (seriously), but together..wow!! The loaded hash brown has jalapeños, bacon, cheese, green onions and crème fraiche, and caught me totally offguard, now this is the only way I want my hash browns! Somebody needs to take a bow! Casey checked on me at regular intervals. She's very personable, just sweet! I like a place that lets you enjoy your meal without hovering, but they're close enough so they can anticipate your needs. The manager stopped by to say Hi which is always a nice touch. So often it's the little things that can make or break a dining experience. For its opening week - I'll just say the whole staff can take a bow! Very nice, let's see...what am I going to order when I come back tomorrow? (Seriously!) Watched them seat a party before us who got here 15min after us. Claims they made a reservation, but told us they don't accept reservations. When asked why, was told they "allow reservations on a case by case basis." We proceeded to wait another 45min. Restaurant hasn't been open 4 months. read more

Booked reservation online for brunch and when arrived 10 min earlier we were told they have problem with the system and the waiting time would be 2 HOURS. We drove all the way to urban egg with booked reservation to be told we nees to wait 2 HOURS. That would have been a dinner, not a brunch. Ridiculous. Very poor customer service. read more

This is a great new restaurant that has an expansive menu. The breakfast tacos are super good, and I ordered them with portobello mushrooms. The burrito is huge and also delicious. We had a nice experience at the Mock Run Brunch. The cinnamon rolls were so good. I love bacon but I think the bacon topping was a bit much. Just a suggestion, maybe have an option to be able to self serve our creamers (some restaurants have the little individual creamers).
