    Paneer Curry Plate
    David K.

3.5 stars Urban Kitchen has a casual, sports bar vibe with multiple TV screens and beer on tap. Their menu, however, featured a surprising selection of creative Indian fusion dishes! From their Specials menu section, I tried the Chicken Kebab Plate, which came with spiced chicken grilled to juicy perfection with peppers and onions, and served with a simple salad (lettuce, tomatoes, chickpeas), mint cilantro, and a chewy garlic naan on the side. I also had their Curry Plate, which came with a bowl of tikka masala with paneer, along with salad and garlic naan on the side. Disappointingly, the curry was nothing more than a thick tomato soup with barely a hint of spice. This would definitely not be the place to come for authentic Indian eats, but perhaps some of their more creative menu options would have been more memorable. The service was also surprisingly slow for a simple counter-service restaurant.

The food is always on point! They have a bunch of "Indian fusion" items and they are all very flavourful! The drinks are strong and delicious! The motichoor dessert was excellent! The servers are always nice and friendly and help choosing the right dish :) there's tons of parking outside and have huge tvs playing all kinds of games for the Sports Bar feels :)

MY FIRST LOVE is SOYA CHAAP and this was the first place where I had my first in the bay! Such a cool bar vibes with the much-needed indian touch. This place is bustling on weekends but I'd say worth the wait given how delicious the food is!!

My family and I have been meaning to try this place and we are so happy we got the chance to eat here! It was a really cool sports bar vibe with some interesting hip hop Bollywood or South Asian type music (not really sure, but it was really cool). We ended up ordering: -Chicken Quesadilla which was so delicious! They were juicy pieces of chicken, spicy jalapeños, onions, and served with a creamy sauce. This is actually exactly how I like to make these at home, but these were better than what I usually make. The only thing I would want to change would be to make the sauce spicier. -Butter Chicken Sliders was better than we expected! We expected it to be good, but it was even better! It was juicy, crispy, and the perfect balance of butter chicken sauce to bun ratio. -Chicken Finger Kids meal was a regular kids meal, nothing special, but it came with a really big portion of chicken and fries which was awesome! We really loved this place and it also served alcohol which made it even better!

Food and service were super good! Portions are definitely small though. Butter chicken with naan-4/5 more tomato-y than im used to, but still good! I wish there was more naan so i could dip it in the sauce. Tandoori soya chaap -5/5 delicious! It has a creamy, nutty flavor and the texture was really nice. It has a small kick which is barely noticeable but nice.

Food was good. Enjoyed their garlic naan and butter chicken. Chicken wrap was tasty. They even offer burgers and milkshakes for those of you less adventurous. Not pricey so definitely good value here. Casual ambiance. Located in a busy shopping plaza with Safeway as the anchor store. Parking lot on site.

TLDR : Great concept, nice fusion food options and drink selections, good taste and ambiance Tried the Urban Kitchen and as it came highly recommended by friends. Really loved their take at a bar setting combing the Indian food and beverage offerings. We had tried the soya chaaps earlier and really one of my favorites in the bay. This time we tried their Kulchas and Noodle Burgers. The kulchas were good - not the best I've had and chola could've been more spicy and flavorful. The noodle burgers - veggie and chicken were good. Nice combination which we were skeptical off but turned out nice.

I love the vegetation machurian burger in this place. Was longing for it after I had it around a month or 2 ago. Finally had it again. My friends like like the soya chaaps here a lot. A friend ordered chicken zinger burger and didn't like it as much.

This place is perfect for when you want to eat North Indian food but don't want to sit down at a traditional restaurant sort of setting. It's a very hip place which serves mainly a variety of Punjabi cuisine fusions. The music inside the establishment plays lots of great Punjabi artists like the late legend Sidhu Moosewala & plays sports channels with a bar, a few booths and tables like a BWW so it's a fun vibe. Parking is spacious too and is shared in the plaza that the Safeway is in. My boyfriend and I have come here multiple times this month and I have gotten the Samosa Poutine with Paneer each time which is the perfect amount of spicy (I'd say medium level) and he gets the Dahi Papadi Chaat which is cooling because of the yogurt. I also like to get the Mango Hazy IPA on top to wash this down with. We always feel adequately full after we eat and for an appetizer it's a pretty decent portion for when I have chaat cravings. It's reasonably priced, good food at a great hangout spot that's open til late night and I highly recommend this place to anyone in the East Bay Area!

There aren't many businesses in this complex so there's always plenty of parking. I inside of the restaurant was small but had plenty of tables. It was a slow day on that weekday early dinner time. We asked to order our items for take out. We waited not too long as I remember. How was the food? Fried Calamari- for only being a couple minutes away I wonder why the calamari was already almost cold when we ate it. It was pretty disappointing. Maybe they just had it in the box while they waited for the rest of our order. I don't know. Flavor was good. Pizza Primavera - It was good, I was okay with it. The pizza dough wasn't my favorite but it was fine. White Pasta - I honestly don't remember what the name was but it was an item my bf ordered. This was terrible. Like there was too much roux to make the bechamel. It tasted of flour. Not much salt, not much of other flavors. Not enough milk and cheese and butter. He took a bite and put it down. Overall, glad we tried it but we might not be coming back. With the economy now, it's disappointing when the food is terrible for how much we pay for.

Came here on a weekday for dinner and it was mostly empty. We got the chicken parm and the margherita pizza. With the margherita pizza, the dough was obviously bought premade and frozen. It was dry and hard as expected from a premade frozen pizza dough. Not sure if the whole thing was bought frozen. There was generous amounts of cheese with one sad basil leaf of each quarter. One positive thing I can add about the pizza is that the cheese does have a satisfying flavor, giving me a nostalgic flashback to school lunch pizza. As for the pasta, the chicken has a strange taste (maybe too strong on a vodka marinade?). There was way too much sauce for the amount of pasta, and it had a very light and bright flavor, not terrible but definitely lacking depth and any nuances of aromatics or herbs. The chicken was not breaded and instead grilled. Servers were attentive, but seemed to have a lot of staff mostly standing around.

I recommend if you're a pizza fan to try their style of pies. YES, I know there's a lot to choose from but in Fremont I consider this place a solid spot. This pizzeria has been here in our city for years and the pies are delicious. Slices are never cold, always loaded, and many types of pizza toppings to choose from. If you're looking for a homey local spot, check this place out. If you want something luxuriously, modern and fusion, this place isn't for you as it's more classic in my view. There's ample seating in the restaurant for work get-to-togethers or friends catching up over a shared pie. Their selection of beers isn't bad either! Hope you give them a chance.

The pizza: it was good and I really liked their crust. My husband had the pepperoni and enjoyed it. I had some sausage and onion and it was tasty. My son had the cheese and he liked it. We also tried their garlic cheese bread which came with ranch. It was pretty good. Being from the Midwest, I loved the ranch they served with it. Figured it was worth a try. On my first visit, the posted opening hours were from 12:00-10:00, but nobody was at the restaurant manning the window or the counter when I arrived. Second visit happened to be later in the afternoon, about 2pm. I got two slices of pizza, pepperoni and mushroom. Their slices are the New York style, although the crust is a bit more dense than traditional NY style, but I liked the flavor enough to overlook that. The price is quite reasonable too. They also advertise smashburgers on their signage, so I didn't feel like it would be proper to not also get one of those as well on my third visit. I just ordered online and took it to-go, but I had the same problem with nobody really being at the window when I got there. Luckily someone must have seen me standing outside and told the person inside. The smashburger was decent, and the fries that came as a side were perfectly cooked - they are the battered homestyle fry variety, but not too greasy or oily. I think the food here is good, I just think the posted hours could use some clarity. The website says they are open at 12:00, but it's very rare to actually have them be fully open and ready to serve food at that time.

I get that working there can be exhausting especially when there's like only 3 workers, but there's no need to throw toppings on the pizza like that. Also, the glass that borders the pizza ingredients is bent. I have no idea how that happened, but they should either fix it or replace it.
