Yes, yes and yes! I have ordered from here twice in the last week, mmhm it was that good that I had to order again. The southwest sandwich has so much flavor that my taste buds did a happy dance! I order from DoorDash and the food is packaged well and it is fresh when it arrives. I want to try other menu items, but I am seriously obsessed with the southwest and likely to keep ordering it. I was hungry and wanted something healthy after the gym. This place was close by and the pictures looked very appealing so I decided to try it. I got the So cal chicken sandwich and it was really delicious. All the sandwich's come with a small side salad but honestly it's less of a salad and more of some lettuce to add to your sandwich. All the chicken sandwiches look so amazing I can't wait to come back here. Only $10 which isn't bad compared to subway and the quality here is amazing. One of my fave places for this yummy sandwich is at Urbane Cafe..."The Californian" vegetarian sandwich (loaded artichoke hearts, avocado, sundried tomatoes, mushrooms, Jack cheese, green leaf lettuce with herb aioli). Went for lunch last week for the first - but not last - time. Admittedly, I'm a picky customer because I made food for a living. I had a fresh chicken salad which surpassed my expectations. This place was just okay. I ordered the southwest sandwich. It was pretty good. My mom ordered the soup and salad. She said it was good but that it tasted like there was a lot of sugar in the tomato soup. I think it's important to note, this is not a "healthy" restaurant. There is lighter fare, but nothing actually really healthy. When we asked if the dressings had sugar in them, the cashier just said "I have no idea". I just discovered this restaurant, and I'm already addicted!!! The salads are so fresh and crisp - even if you don't like salads, you'll like these. I've had the Cobb salad and there was a lot of chicken and it tasted fresh. I've also had the Ahi tuna salad... oh boy, this is AMAZING! The dressing is so delicious. Both salads were filling and satisfying. Btw, they come with a piece of freshly baked bread which is also delicious (but it only comes with one piece so I suggest adding another piece to your order). I loved Urbane Cafe in Santa Clarita. I used to go after my gym sessions and even go for dinner after work. It was my go to spot when I used to work out there. I was pretty bummed when I quit my job because I would miss Urbane. Luckily I found Urbane Cafe in Northridge! Sorta closer to my new job. So happy that I can eat their sandwiches once again. During COVID-19, I would recommend calling ahead or even downloading their app to get $5 off after spending $100. It's pretty easy to get there since I love this place. It's pretty easy to order off the app: select the sandwich/items and log in your debit/credit card then select a time preference to pick up your meal. They have curb side or a contactless pick up area. It's easy and contactless if you want to be extra safe like me. read more

One can only hope that Urbane Cafe survives and thrives in this location. A solid 4.5 stars for many reasons. Fast, affordable, healthy "ish" food served by pleasant people in an efficient manner for a newly opened location . I would say that hits all of the check marks. It reminds me of a Panera bread meets California Chicken Cafe but with a bit more menu pizzazz. I have already gone 3 times and have experienced a consistent, satisfying and crave worthy salad on each visit. All of the ingredients were well of high quality and prepared in a very appetizing arrangement. Good portion at a fair price. I love everything about Urbane Cafe, from their sandwich selections, salads, right down to their fresh-baked cookies. I'm a huge fan of their Chimichurri Steak sandwich with the side salad. I've never been a fan of cranberries until I tried their white chocolate cranberry cookies. Now, I'm a big fan! If you want to try this place for the first time (and you eat meat), go with the Chimichurri Steak and do yourself a favor and get a cookie, too. It will make you very happy. The 1st time I came here I got food to go, I was greeted by the door by one of the employees who offered me a sample of their cookies. He had me at free cookies! :) I couldn't help myself I took 2 and I loved them. I ended up getting their southwest chicken sandwich, I felt like the chicken was a little dry and it tasted almost so similar to Stoneoven which is okay. The side salad was good and I also ordered their salted chocolate chip cookie it was a little too much chocolate for me but overall not too bad. Grilled cheese for the win! I have been here a few times and the grilled cheese is amazing!!! It has avocado in it! Sold!!! Anyways it doesn't open until around lunchtime, but reminds me kind of like Panera Bread. The side salad is really good with a citrus taste and its vinegarette dressing. Other items of the menu include sandwiches and a variety of salads. They also offer 2 soups daily: one vegetarian option and one with protein. Today it was an artichoke bisque and a chicken soup. The staff is exceptionally nice, and today I saw a hearing impaired customer signing his order to the cashier who could sign.....that was so cool! I wanted to take a picture but I didn't want to interfere on their exchange. Came here on Sunday Afternoon with my boyfriend for some fresh light lunch. I believe this place is new to the area. We ordered the So Cal Chicken Sandwich and the Chimichurri Steak Sandwich. The So Cal chicken sandwich was good, I really wasn't a fan of their bread. I wish they added a little more flavor to it. I love stone oven bread, if it was similar to their bread it would've been at 5 stars sandwich. Chimichurri Steak Sandwich is cold! Make sure you want to eat cold meat. My boyfriend mention that it needed more flavor to their meat ingredient. The side salad like other yelper say needs improvement as well. We spent about $22 on two sandwiches. Pretty pricey! The customer service was well. We arrived and it was empty on a Sunday afternoon. We were greeted by the manager. He really didn't recommend any sandwiches. First time in at Urbane for lunch.. not bad! Even though I am not a vegetarian, I was glad to see more than one vegetarian sandwich option. Sometimes you just feel like skipping the meat and today was one of those days. I got the Tuscan sandwich which included: roasted eggplant, zucchini, Portobello mushroom, red pepper, and sundried tomatoes. All sandwiches come in their house specialty focaccia bread. I'm usually not a fan of focaccia but the thickness of the bread balanced out the flavor punch of the ingredients inside. Overall, it was tasty and the side salad was also enjoyable. The feel of the place is like of like a Baja Fresh for some reason. It's clean with quick helpful staff but its more of a quick bite to eat sort of place. The food is good but tastes a bit "chain-y" so its not a place I see myself craving. But for quick decent no hassle food, its a good choice. This place is a 3.5 stars in my book, but I was a bit let down with the Ahi tuna salad so it rounds down to 3 stars. Tuna was just okay, and the way it was presented looked a bit sad. It came with a heavy thousand island like dressing that did not go with the lightness of the Ahi at all. But overall above average experience, so I wouldn't mind to come back! read more

Wow...where to begin...ah, from the beginning.... The good, the great, and the excellent! The good: You walk in and your smell senses are overloaded! It literally smells awesome! The great: Eric working the register is most helpful in assisting you select one of these fine meals! I picked the club and my lady chose the fancy gourmet grilled cheese. The set up of the place is so cute. The people that work there are so nice. The girl didn't really know what was in some of the sandwiches but she still tried to sell them to me. They're still a little bit new so I understand, it takes time (: I ordered the Southern Chicken Sandwich. I was SOOO unsure of what I was ordering. But I loved it at first bite. So good so worth it. It seems swirl of new small chains are set to open in front of our Northridge staple the California Chicken Cafe. Will they steal business from CCC? We'll see. But, with Urbane Cafe now open and Sharky's/Farmer Bros on the way, more options are on the table. I've been to Urbane twice this week to sample their fare and it's slightly above average. I know there's many others in the region, but they reminded of a Panera/Corney Bakery, with a scaled back menu, better quality, enhanced flavor and a much smaller footprint. One drawback here is at lunch there isn't enough seating for the number of people arriving between 11:30 and 1, but don't let that discourage you. Urbane's menu exposes more flavor that it's longer-living competitors with similar offerings. The sandwiches all come on the same baked in house bread, the chicken/meats have superior flavor and the service is wonderful. Every sandwich comes with a side of fresh greens and tasty dressing. It's a great place for a light lunch or dinner and priced fair. The best deal might be the lemonade and strawberry lemonade. For less than $2 (and free refills) it's a steal and refreshing but no overpowering. Keep in mind, there's a solid presence of vegetarian options, a pile of good salads (but not as good as CCC across the street) and soups that taste grand compared to those at Panera/Corney Bakery, etc. In short, this is sure to be a solid option for those looking for a break from Pieology/CCC/etc and while it won't be the go-to place, it's destined for the lunch rotation and doesn't have anything that could be dissappointing. read more

I love this place. It's close to my house, healthy and fresh. I've never had a bad experience and I eat here about once a month.

Let me start off by saying that I'm not much of a sandwich person, but I wanted to try something new. I stopped by to grab something before work and it was pretty dead at 5pm on a Monday. I ended up ordering the bbq tri tip sandwich with salad and also added a soup. The total was a little over $15 which is pretty steep for just a sandwich and soup. With that being said, I was pretty impressed with the sandwich. It was packed with tons of meat, veggies, and cheese. The tri tip itself was really tender and had a lot of flavor. I was a bit confused with the side salad that came with my sandwich. Not sure why you would put feta cheese with mandarin oranges. They also seemed to forget my balsamic dressing that was supposed to come with it. At first I thought they put it on the side but it was nowhere to be found. My favorite part of my meal was actually the soup. Of the three choices that were offered, I opted for the chicken chowder. It didn't have the consistency that I expected a chowder to have, but it was still creamy. It was also pretty sweet (in a good way) and not too salty. There was a lot of empty space in my bowl and there wasn't much chicken, but I would definitely order it again. read more

Food is good but it's urbane cafe, it's always good. Customer service was bad. I called to make an order and a woman named Cassandra picked up. I asked for something on the side for my order and she says "ALL I NEED IS THE CARD" with a rude tone. I snapped back at her and told her again louder what I needed and asked her if she heard me. Then paid for my order and headed over there. Called when outside for "contactless" pickup (corona) and she said she would bring it out. Keep in mind there are no customers inside and no other orders waiting on the table and she's not on the phone. 5 minutes go by and I just go in to grab it. Urbane Cafe is right by school so I decided to try it for lunch the other day. I came in before the lunch rush so I was the only one there. The cashier was friendly when she greeted me. I ordered the corn and qunioa salad with chicken, which ended up coming out to around $11 which isn't bad. My food was ready in less than 5 minutes. The salad was a big portion and came with a piece of fresh baked foccaccia bread. I didn't care much for the bread, it was quite bland. Overall the salad was tasty with the cilantro dressing that came with it. I was dissapointed to learn that the chicekn is served cold, but they were nice thin slices of chicken breast instead of that strange cubed stuff you find in pre-packaged salads. I enjoyed my meal and will probably return to try some of their other menu items. read more

Move over Stone Oven! You'll find a vast variety of well proportioned salads. The mango jimaca salad (chef's special) with cilantro chicken was delish. Don't expect mango chunks as the mango was surprisingly the dressing, which balanced the diced jicama, avocado, and goat cheese very well. This place is salad heaven! They have really good sandwiches all around, and the little side they come with is nice. 1 star off just cuz I got a salmon salad recently, which is a specialty item and not a regular menu item, and there were giant stringy pieces from the mango salsa that definitely seemed like they were meant to go in the trash, and then the salmon had no BBQ anything on it and was kinda weird overall, I was disappointed with it. OMG! This place was a pleasant surprise! Decided to stop by before the usual Starbucks run. Looks like a hole in the wall deli from the outside. We ordered the Tri-tip sandwich that comes with the house salad. #BOMB! The tri-tip was so juicy and the coleslaw in the sandwich was fresh! The house salad was very fresh too and the vinaigrette dressing was yum! The restaurant was very clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. Wish there was one closer to me in North Hollywood. Do not come here. Very mediocre food and I had to point out to an employee a roach crawling across the counter where you pick up your food. She used one of those little containers they put sauce sides in to trap it and just looked at me with the biggest eyes like she had no idea what to do. I will not be returning. Edit: this happened on April 25th... just now remembered to write the review. If it was just the food that was bad I would have forgotten about it but the fact that there was a roach... It was my first time here. I walked in a little bitter because I called 20 minutes ahead of time to place my order and I was put on hold. I started driving to the restaurant while being on hold.. arrived.. walked in. The staff there did look like they were working hard to get prepped for the day. There was no other customers inside. And I was still on hold. The gentleman asked for my order and i advised him he could hang up the phone since im here. He apologized and admitted that he completely forgot about me... I called and placed my order and was told "the food will be ready in 10 minutes" so I arrived 15 minutes later thinking it would definitely be done. I arrive and pay, then was instructed to wait outside on the patio for them to bring out my food. I'm waiting outside for roughly 15-20 minutes in 106 degree weather wondering "where in the world is the food?" I go back inside and ask about my order.
