I have been going to Uroko for probably 6 years now and my love for this place only grows over the years. They do not cheap out on their quality and they will definitely jam your bowl packed with toppings. It is rare to see them not charging more tbh, but I am not complaining! We enjoy this Poke place because they have good selection of seafood and toppings as well as the portion size that they provide. There are a number of different sauces and spice levels to choose from as well. It's like a Chipotle/Subway-style line and you choose your rice (brown, white) or salad (or half/half), then seafood type (amount of choices depends on what size bowl you get) and then sauces/toppings! Make sure you check-in for a free drink :) To-go options also available. Parking is hard especially when there is a lot of people. A wonderful place to get poke! We came here a few months ago when Halal guys just opened. To be honest, we only came here because the line for Halal guys was absolutely ridiculous. Anyways, the food was great. The salmon was very fresh. They cut huge pieces and give you a lot for the amount they charge. After a while, most poke places become indistinguishable from one another because they offer the same stuff and it all begins to taste the same. But not here! This place has a huge seating area-but I came around 4, so it wasn't crowded. The service was mighty fast and friendly! I like how they use different colored paper under your bowl to distinguish what size it is. Speaking of the bowls, they are reusable (thank you for being conscious of our environment!) and are flat and wide, like a pie tin, which allows you to get an even distribution of everything onto your fork. And if you like mixing up your bowl, it's super easy. I thought it was unique that they offer shrimp tempura as a protein-for the people whose friends or family don't like raw fish, but they do. I ordered the small bowl and it was the perfect size to fill me up. The fish was SO fresh, the sauce was perfect, and the whole bowl just left me feeling really good and energized. Portion sizes getting smaller, quality getting lower and the best excuse is "things are getting expensive". Doesnt explain how prices surged almost 20-30% in a year or two. Uroko does a great bowl of poke. Instead of the usual salad or rices, they also offer a steamed broccoli option, it's fantastic. Everything mixed together came out tasting fresh and delicious. I started coming to this place long before COVID, and always left totally satisfied. They have long lines during lunchtime (they're popular for good reason) but don't worry, the line moves fast. I usually try to avoid crowds, but with poke, you want to see a lot of customers-- that means food is turning over and the fish tends to be very fresh. This is definitely the case at Uroko Cafe, where I usually get the two-entree bowl with salmon and tuna/spicy tuna. The fish is super fresh, and so are the sides. I love the spicy crab meat, the avocado, the mango, the edamame, and for the base I get half brown rice, half salad. They also have great sauces and a ton of toppings to choose from. The selection is quite good. The portions are generous, so you can go in hungry and leave happily full. I've never had to go bigger than two-entrees, and I can eat a lot. The best part is, with poke I can be completely full but I never feel stuffed or bloated. The freshness/ lightness of this food actually makes you feel good, nourished, and recharged for the rest of the day. Finally, the price is very reasonable for poke. So great food, good value, and fast service-- we hit a trifecta! (Also they are COVID-ready. How the mighty have fallen. I haven't been to Uroko Cafe in a couple of years and decided to go for lunch since I was in the area. The parking lot can be hard to find unless you specifically look for the small street to turn into. It's behind their building and close to the nearby Mitsuwa. The fish isn't as fresh as I remember. The spicy salmon was buttery, the highlight of my poke bowl. But the albacore wasn't as impressive and the color looked off. The spicy tuna was so-so. I ordered it with half brown rice and half salad. I liked the spicy imitation crab, but I find their selection of sides to be limited compared to what's around. Other poke places allow you to pick a lot more sides. Uroko charges for extra sides beyond cucumber and white miso. The toppings include masago, ginger, wasabi, fried garlic, and onions. Portions are a lot smaller than what I remember, but the price has definitely raised. Their sauce was on the too sour side, perhaps too much rice vinegar. I also made the mistake of ordering their strawberry black tea. Reminds me of the fake strawberry jelly candies at the supermarket. The tea is essentially flavorless and is essentially sugar water. I think this attempt to be "hip" is sad and not needed. Fix your poke before trying to attract customers with gimmicks. I could do without the teas. Please bring back the quality fish and larger potions that used to be served. read more

How have I not come here before? I needed to pick up a quick heathy lunch and Uroko Cafe was one of the places that immediately popped up when I was searching around. Located on a major street, Bristol, this place is easy to miss. However, if you do end up missing the little sign, turn into the chevron and swing towards the back side of chevron and you'll be able to maneuver your way into Uroko's parking lot. I came after the lunch rush (around 2 pm-ish) & this place was still pretty poppin'. That's always a good sign. I opted for a small (2 proteins), and ended up with salmon and yellowtail. The crabmeat is an complimentary add on but I didn't go for that. The topping choices are ridiculously extensive which made me a very happy child inside. I giggled with glee as I was allowed seaweed salad, scoops of masago, and of course ... THE GARLIC CHIPS. Why hasn't anyone completely monopolized on these amazing things?? For sauces, I just chose the spiciest. I think next time I will ask for extra since the there wasn't much sauce. Total for a small & a free drink for check in was about $12.00 plus tip. Super disappointed with this place. We drove to Costa Mesa from RSM to try a new Poké spot, and had high hopes for the place. While the portions were good in comparison to other poke places, the fish was questionable. It didn't seem fresh. We should have trusted our instinct because the fish looked sketch and smelled weird. Just another poke joint. Came here with my friend George on Tuesday 7p. There was plenty of parking in the lot, and the dimly-lit restaurant was not very busy. The best I could say is that their selection is huge: 1. Base: white rice, brown rice, salad, tortilla chips (whaaat?), half & half, wrap 2. Sides: imitation crab, avocado, seaweed salad, white onion, cucumber 3. Protein: lots of choices including yellowtail and eel! I usually don't eat raw fish so I was happy that they serve cooked shrimp, edamame, and tofu. 4. Sauce: Uroko (+ spicy levels), spicy mayo, spicy miso, pink salt, sriracha, wasabi mayo 5. Toppings: green onion, ginger, wasabi, masago, furikake, garlic chips, sesame seeds, cilantro, lime I opted for a salad base (make sure not to grab a spoon), but I felt like the Uroko sauce (equal parts Ponzu and Sesame Oil...which is a lot) was too much. It might have been better if I chose rice for at least half my base. Plus, the seaweed salad already has a lot of sesame oil, so the extra sauce could've been lighter. I do recommend adding furikake (dried seaweed seasoning) as topping. And masago, if you like roe. Those and the imitation crab were my favorites. The protein (edamame and tofu) was nothing special.
