Out of all the fast service poke spots I like Uroko the most and tend to recommend it to friends! The portions are hefty you get premium sides for free which usually costs more at other places for example avacado and masago which I appreciate! Theres plenty of seating as well and it's always busy but the line moves very fast! Only thing I will say is that you're not able to get a double scoop of the same toppings, which I thought was silly because I tend to want extra cucumber in my bowl instead of any other toppings the worker did kindly let me know which I appreciate ..otherwise no complaints! read more

I've been here a number of times and can attest that it's definitely one of OC's best poké spots! It's located along Katella in Cypress next to a number of businesses. Inside, you'll see the ordering counter, along with a good amount of seating. My favorite part of Uroko is the ordering system, where you can either order the classic way, or use one of the slips they provide. Super helpful if you're doing a big order or a newbie who's unfamiliar with the menu! I would usually go with the 3 protein option with tuna, spicy tuna, and salmon and I think they nail it every time. The food here is good, but the three stars are because we've gotten our to-go orders wrong on multiple occasions now when ordering through their website. My wife and I typically do two bowls to-go, and we've seen such high variance with how accurate our orders are: - Missing or incorrect ingredients (getting shrimp when I selected octopus, avocado missing, etc.) - Ingredients from one order in the opposite bowl, or ingredients that neither of us asked for (corn in my bowl instead of hers, jalapeño in her bowl when neither of us selected jalapeño, etc.) We're hesitant to order online now because this has happened more than a handful of times already, but we obviously can't tell what's wrong or missing until we get home and open our bowls. But it gets quite busy / crowded when ordering in person too. May revisit this place when it's less busy to order in person, but will probably avoid during peak hours since they're prone to making mistakes. read more

I have been going to Uroko for several months now. It has become a go to poke place for my family and I. Quality, service, and portions never seem to go down and I am always satisfied every visit. Workers make sure to load your bowl and are always friendly and helpful. I always get the 18 dollar, 3 scoop poke bowl; it never disappoints and comes in a generous portion--usually making up for 2 meals. I would recommend the 3 scoop bowl if you are sharing with another person or would like a little left over. The ingredients and fish are always very fresh and tasty. I would also say that the drinks are very affordable, usually not more than 5 or 6 dollars, depending on the beverage you order (they have milk teas and smoothies). I normally get a half salad, half white rice bowl. The salmon, yellowtail, and vegan meat are very good. The shrimp here is OK, not the best. The cool thing about this place is you can get double crab- pick the regular and spicy, so you get more. You can pick up to 6 different sides, and it INCLUDES AVOCADO, which most poke places charge extra for. With your Yelp check-in, they'll also add in a FREE MISO SOUP! You can add unlimited toppings on your bowl. I normally get the fried garlic, fried onion, furikake, and ginger. For sauces, I like the uroko sauce mixed with sesame or avocado oil. Delicious! Most poke places give you the tiniest, most disrespectfully small scoop of fish and then load up the rice and random other ingredients. If I wanted a veggie rice bowl I would've stayed at home.. but Uroko's fish quality is superior and their portions are extremely reasonable. They give avocado and seaweed salad for free. Some places have the audacity to be charging $1-3 extra for those as if I won't bring my own avocado and slice it up in front of them myself. The food here is good, but my experience today with the service was disappointing. I asked the first employee for extra seaweed (and was willing to pay), but he told me I couldn't request the same topping. Then I asked the second employee for only salmon and tuna with uroko sauce, and for the spicy mayo to be drizzled on top afterward. I tried this place since it's by my work, and the fish was very fresh and they offer very generous portions. My favorite side when eating poke or sushi is the ginger, and the ginger tasted very strange. I would have given this a 5-star review, had the ginger had your typical pickled ginger taste. Uroko is honestly one of the best poke places in the OC. This is my first time going to this location and it hits just like the other location I've been to. The fish taste super fresh and as do the sides/toppings.
