LOVE Uroko Cafe! I've been to their Costa Mesa location a couple of times prior to the pandemic and love quality of their poke bowls. I was very happy to find out they opened a location in Cypress so hubby and I dropped by this past Sunday to pick up a quick lunch. Upon arrival, there was already a small line ahead of us. We each ended up getting the double scoop bowls. I got mine with half brown rice and half salad base and hubby got his with white rice. The albacore and tuna look fresh here so I got that. Hubby got two scoops of spicy tuna for his bowl. I was very impressed with the toppings they offered here. They don't charge for avocado which is great! I like that they give out scoops of imitation crab meat too. As for the toppings, they had unique ones like mango pieces and pineapple. I made sure to top mine with loads of crispy fried onion and garlic chips. As for the sauces, they have a wide selection. I went with the Uroko sauce, which has a ponzu base. I also mixed it with some chili oil which gives my poke a really nice kick. They have extra containers on the side if you need more sauce. Both of our bowls were about $27. We were very satisfied with our bowls. They gave us huge portions so we were stuffed. The staff here is very friendly and patient with you when you're building your bowls. We're definitely coming back to Uroko Cafe soon for our poke cravings! read more

Came in on my way back home from work it was about 830pm staff was cleaning up when I walked in but quickly greeted me and allowed me to browse the menu for a bit. I went with a large poke bowl and decided on rice and salad as a base. Large comes with 5 scoops of poke so I did 2x tuna, 2x salmon, and spicy tuna. Next was the sides. You're able to pick up to 5 sides I did seaweed salad, crab salad and spicy crab salad avocado, and cucumbers. Next is the toppings.You're able to pick 6x I went with the crispy onions, crispy garlic, massago, furakaki, green onions, and jalapeños. I also ask for wasabi and ginger on the side. Then had a worker pick a sauce for me. They gave me their most popular which is spicy Mayo, eel sauce and a ponzu type sauce. Seafood is fresh, and I always enjoy every bite of my bowl. It's Sunday so I want to try a new Poke place with a friend. This was recommend on Instagram of serving huge portions. If you are Poké person, so not gonna go into the details. Parking is limited. Inside is also limited. They do have a Yelp check in for free miso soup. Water is self serve. Extra toppings are extra and you can only limited options of choosing protein unless you willing to pay extra to try them all. Their hot sauce is not hot if you are spicy lover. The miso soup however is excellent. Sodas are can btw. They do have teas/boba. Overall, it's very good but does it serve huge portions: in a way, yes but wish they could give more to give first timers a full experience instead of going another time to try something different. I stopped by at this location twice in the past few weeks, the food is ok, but both times I had a terrible experience with the customer service, I don't want to generalize all other servers base on one person, but both times I got served by the same dude and I honestly think he shouldn't be working at food industry at all. He's rude and handle food at an unsanitary way, didn't pay attention at what the customer was saying at all. The first time I got there I was completely clueless, I was just trying to ask if the mushroom counts as a protein, without hesitation this dude already puts mushrooms in my bowl and charged me for an extra protein, I then told him I wouldn't be having mushrooms if I know it's considered a protein and he just ignored me and go straight to the next step. He didn't pay attention at what my boyfriend was saying neither, he asked for double salmon and double tuna but he only gave him one for each and we have to repeat our request again just because the server wasn't listening. He looks new because he's EXTREMELY slow with what he's doing, I'm seeing other workers finished their bowl way faster and I had 2 people behind me went over us just because their servers know what they are doing and completed their bowl way faster. What really bothered me was how rude he was. I noticed that other employees always change their gloves before mixing the sauce, but he didn't. He used the same gloves that had already touched many other things, there was even avocado stuck on them from somewhere, and then put his hands straight into my bowl to mix the sauce. I honestly found that very unacceptable and unsanitary. Right after that, when we were checking out, he knocked over my boyfriend's bowl. What shocked me even more was that he picked up the food that had fallen onto the table and put it back into the bowl right in front of us and handed it back to us. How is that even acceptable? I honestly couldn't tolerate it anymore and asked him how we were supposed to eat that food. Unfortunately, instead of taking responsibility, he asked another girl who was already busy to remake the bowl for us while he just stood there and watched others apologize to us and redo the work that he should have handled himself. I honestly don't understand why this server was still working there when we came back a month later and ended up having him served us again. Both visits were very negative experiences because of him. I'm giving two stars only because the food itself was good, and the other workers didn't seem to have the same issues as he did. read more

My go-to used to be Pokinometry in Anaheim, but lately the quality has been really bad and I've been on the hunt for a poke place to replace it and I think I might've found it. We would get the 3 scoop option for $15 and they pack so much in the bowl for you. There's more options here too compared to Pokinometry. You get an option to put a max of 6 sides in your bowl and there's plenty of toppings to choose from. And as for sauces, I really like their Uroko original sauce - spicy.
