My wall heater set off the carbon monoxide alarm the night before Thanksgiving. After a series of miscommunications with the owner of my unit, her handyman and then finally having the gas company come out and they red-tagging it, the owner had me contact Urso to have them come out and take a look at the heater to see if it could be repaired. Sam arrived as scheduled, tested it and the venting system and after his carbon monoxide meter shooting up to highly unsafe levels, found that it needed to be replaced. He sent me the bid and I forwarded it to the owner. She then contracted with Urso a week ago, but due to, what I now know is a very, well-deserved, busy schedule, they could not come out until yesterday. Ryan came as scheduled and installed a new heater. I was SO happy. He was very professional, very mindful of taking care of debris and answered my questions. Later though, I realized it was running quite loud due to a higher than I had been used to gas flow. I also realized I was not able to open the bottom cover and was concerned that if I needed to turn off the gas, I would not be able to get the cover open. I called Urso and spoke to Gina. It was near the end of the day and when she realized I couldn't take another day off work to be at the unit the next day, she called their installers and found one who could stop by on his way home. I was SO THANKFUL!!! That she went the extra mile to get someone to stop by was so great. That showed compassion and a true customer service spirit. About an hour later, Anthony stopped by, adjusted the door so that I could open it, showed me what he did to adjust the gas flow, showed me the emergency shutoff inside the unit and also walked outside with me to check where my gas meter was located and showed me where the emergency shutoff was for the gas line. I had not thought to ask those questions of Ryan - I was just so over the moon not to be cold any longer that was what the only thing I was focused on when he was there! So it was not Ryan's omission but mine. My overall impression of this company, based on the four associates with whom I dealt, Gina, Sam, Ryan and Anthony, is that they are highly service oriented, that they do care and that they will go the extra mile. I highly recommend them. Now as to cost, I can't answer that - only the owner knows if she found it fair or to industry standard, but the fact that she DID contract with them tells me that it was within acceptable range. read more

They quoted us a very fair price for a big job, to move heater into the attic and to install central air. They came when they said they would. They had a full crew who worked hard for 2 days. They tidied up after themselves and were unfailingly respectful and communicative. There were a few loose ends, and they came back within an hour when we called, and again, got everything squared away promptly, and vacuumed up after themselves. Oscar, Jay, Julian, Gus, and others whose name I did not catch were all great. One detail is that they had to enlarge the opening in the ceiling, and we have to pay to and arrange for that separately, which was not unexpected. They recommended a handyman, who called back within a half hour to set up the time. (Note: if they turn off your gas and turn it back on, remind them to reset your water heater!) I just have to say that the team at URSO gave me a great experience with installing a new replacement system of heat and air conditioning. After getting two other bids these guys open my eyes as to how some companies are gouging the consumer. Anthony was assigned to head up my installation project. Our gas furnace started cycling on and off a few days ago. On the rec of a friend, I contacted Urso Air for repair. They were booked for a few days, but the dispatcher gave us a few things to try along with a scheduled appt. Urso arrived on time, listened to all the symptoms, told us exactly what he was testing as he went, and explained the issue fully. Even though this is peak season for AC issues, as a customer Urso made a same day appointment yesterday for fix a water evaporation leak which prevented the use of our York AC installed by Urso a couple of years ago. I sent a message to Urso Air Systems via Yelp on a Sunday requesting someone contact me about servicing my air conditioner. I wasn't expecting anyone to contact me much before Monday. However, I was pleasantly surprised that I received a message back. I'm hearing impaired and so talking on the phone wasn't an option. Urso Air Systems was very accommodating by communicating via Yelp messages and then mobile text messages. A 2 hour block of time was made for Monday, the following day. The follow day Anthony, the service tech, text me a messages that he was on his way. When Anthony arrived, he was wearing a mask and understood my challenge of being hearing impaired communicating in a masked world. Anthony went to work and serviced my air conditioner within an hour's time. He was incredibly kind and understanding and just made the experience so easy and stress free. Today, October 25, 2022, is the first time I ever hired URSO. USRO technician Sergio was on time and he called about 10 minutes before showing up, to let me know he was close to my house and on his way. This was quite helpful to me. He's a real gentleman and was very professional. I had numerous questions for him and he answered every one in way that was easy for me to understand. He serviced my air conditioning and heating system which included using his ladder to get into my attic, not the cleanest place in the world, with no hesitation. He worked non-stop but without rushing things. There was no up-sell, such as "Oh, this is in bad shape. We need to replace this." He knows his stuff and did an excellent job. In fact I told him that when it's time for another maintenance or some repair work, I will definitely ask for him. By the way, Barbara scheduled this appointment. Our 30 year old furnace broke down during the coldest days of the year. I tried the DIY thing by watching YouTube videos, which help me understand how the furnace works, but I was not able to find the correct parts that I needed to fix the problem plus I wasn't even sure if that was the only problem. I called another HVAC company (Comfort Cloud) to diagnose the problem and they did, however they quoted me over $900 to replace a $100 part. I wasn't having any of that. We called Urso air because our air conditioning wasn't blowing cold air anymore. We have a rental unit and wanted to get it fixed fast for our tenants because we were going through a heat wave. We got 3 bids for a mini-split AC unit. Urso not only came in the lowest but, based on reviews, offered the best product (Mitsubishi). Installation took about 4 hours and went smoothly. That included running 240 volt electrical from the circuit panel to where they installed the condenser on our deck. One of they guys managed to crawl under the deck which is such a tight space I didn't think it was possible. They were polite and knew what they were doing. They also serviced our heater last fall. In both cases they didn't charge a dime over the bid. Most contractors these days try to come up with something during the job that will be an additional charge. But not these guys. read more

When Will came out to bid the job he was straightforward and offered creative solutions for our application. He didn't make things seem more involved than what they really are in an attempt to make the job appear expensive. Finally, his bid was inline with 2 other contractors that gave us what appeared to be reasonable bids. Of the numerous bids received, we definitely got some that were borderline hilarious/obscene...for less work than what Urso ended up doing. I also felt the most comfortable with Will when he visited. We were assigned the crew of Vik, Chris and Trevor, and I was very pleased with the quality of their work, their friendliness and courtesy, how they treated the house and cleaned up after themselves, and that they finished on schedule (even slightly ahead).
