My temporary mail carrier supposed to deliver a package that required signature. I was home, but was not aware of his delivery until I later saw a notice of undelivery posted on my door. I came to the post office to pickup the package, but it was still with the mail carrier. I expressed my disappointment, and was unhappy. The mail clerk immediately called for a supervisor. Supervisor Pauline offered a solution - she asked the mail carrier to redeliver the package the same day. To top it off, she later called me to let me know the mail carrier's arrival time to ensure that I would not miss him. Supervisor Pauline has demonstrated an exemplary customer service, which should be widely adopted by all postal service employees. read more

I'd pick this one over the one in North Hollywood, and I've tried both. There are more automated postage machines, and it is easy as pie to toss your packages into a container that is provided, instead of waiting on (not in, on -- it's a New Jersey thing) line to hand the package to the desk clerk. Tips: 1) park in the lot to the south of the post office 2) go to Harvest Moon afterward for a fortifying coffee 3) If you need to copy anything before you send it, there's a small copy/keys/mailboxes place across the street. read more

Theft at the Studio City United States Post Office? Three years ago, I wanted to return a sweater to a store and I mailed it at this post office, using the return labels provided by the store, and carefully packaging the item. The store never received it. It didn't occur to me it could be postal theft. Three weeks ago I stupidly mailed a very expensive dress back to a store, again using all the store-provided return labels. The store never received it. A lot of hate for this post office hahaha. I personally don't mind it. The people who come to this location are probably the reason others don't like the post office. The parking area is filled with people who can't park/drive properly even if their life depended on it. The staff at this post office are pretty friendly, just like every other job they have their good day's and their bad days. I sell a lot of products online and the only issue I've had with this location is 1 POSSIBLE instance of theft. My packages are all prepaid labels because waiting in line is for plebs, so I drop my packages off in the bins. I think someone swooped in and stole one of my packages while the post office was busy. Luckily it was only a 100$ product so I'll take that as a skip the line tax and call it a day. read more

Why does this post office continue to do nothing about the mail theft happening in Studio City? We have reported over and over to them, as have our neighbors in our building, that there are criminals, or a crooked mail carrier or something that have obtained a master Post Office mailbox key and are using it to literally go into apartment buildings, open up the main mailbox units and take huge piles of mail. This has been going on for over a year. Since the local police don't have jurisdiction for this we are told to go to the post office because apparently they have their own policing force. What a joke. We just saw video on the news about them on camera stealing mail using this key. Maybe they are just trying to get more people to pay for private PO boxes because they refuse to do anything to secure our mailbox units from criminals that have their master key! read more

I'd rather throw myself over an open flame than to ever find myself standing in this never-ending line again!! I've been to this post office more than 10 times in the past month and without exaggeration, each visit was more and more painful. I know that most post offices are bad, I get it... but this one.. this one is REALLY REALLY BAD!! If you don't have an entire hour+ of your life to waste in a line to mail a simple package.... if your time is valuable to you... skip this place and go to UPS, FedEx, or another USPS branch... I've never seen more than 2 people working at a time, with the exception of ONE time when there was a 'Manager' {an African American lady} walking around 'supposedly' helping people. To say that she was completely noneffective and unhelpful would be an understatement. While waiting in the ridiculously long line, I had plenty of time to observe her 'service' ...in addition to the poor service, her attitude was TERRIBLE... gotta love that!! not. One of the last times I was there, there was a lady with a baby that wouldn't stop crying and the way the check out lady reacted to her was completely uncalled for. She was rude with no patience for the situation. Look, if you're a mother then you know... sometimes there is just nothing you can do!! We are ALL humans {at least we hope...hehe} and have all been 'that' crying baby many times over when we were small so who are we to treat people rudely for the disruption of a crying baby?? ...I don't agree with that but I especially don't agree with it when it's coming from an employee!! What is wrong with these employees! I called requesting to speak with a supervisor regarding the mail carrier today that entered the property blaring music. When I asked him to pls shut it off as it was disruptive (not to mention highly inappropriate) he actually questioned my demand saying, "Why? What's the problem?" I again told him because it was disruptive! First, what are they teaching these mail carriers at the post office to even question a resident when he is providing a service as delivering mail. To blare music is highly unprofessional and disturbing. To be questioned by this person is equally unprofessional and will not be tolerated. So when I called to speak to a supervisor the female whom answered the telephones was so casual, you'd think I was calling her home. The lack of professionalism is disgraceful! read more

In 45 years of paying Property Taxes I have never been late, not once. Well that ended for this last December 10th payment. I received a penalty tax for late payment. I posted this tax due on 12/8/2019 at the Studio City Post Office in their outside box. The late payment shows that the city posted on 12/16/2019. I don't know how that could be as it should have been posted with a 12/8/2019 or at the least a 12/9/2019 date. There are several scenarios that could be at work here but I am wondering if others have had the same thing happen. It is possible that an employee withheld some tax payment envelopes and then released them at a later date. Am I being paranoid? Maybe but maybe not. Some how my payment was not post marked until the 16th? A bit fishy. read more

Visit this post office on a regular basis for the last five years. One of the best post offices I have ever been to in an urban area. Yes, lines can be long...it's an urban post office. Unlike others I have been to, most windows are consistently staffed. And the staff is friendly, helpful. Seen rude customers, but never rude employees. Keep up the good work! I only gave them one star because my regular mailman I'd pretty nice, and they did come back for my packages. That being said, this branch is one of the worst I've encountered. I had some packages scheduled for pickup and the mailman delivered a package to my door, along with some shipping supplies, but left my packages..! I called the post office to fund out why and the girl kept interrupting and saying she was going to see where my packages were, like she knew already what I was asking. When I finally got a word in and told her they weren't picked up, she contacted the mail carrier and he came back for them. My biggest gripe are their LATE opening hours. Why do they open so late?? I sent a package last Thursday 9/2/15, it's stuck somewhere "delayed", I tried to call but no one answers the phone. I waited an hour after they opened to call and still it just rings and rings. The benefit of proximity to this location, plus the one good employee plus the two self-serve machines are the only reason this location gets 1-star. Lack of knowledgable staff, slow service causing long lines gives this location such a negative review that I recommend avoid going during business hours and enjoy the serenity of the self-serve postal machines for all your USPS needs. read more

Hold up a second, Yelpers! These reviews make me want to defend my local USPS... Like most post offices, this one is small and understaffed. I get it - more than once I've been stuck behind The Extra mailing out 50 head shots one by one, but it IS Studio City. And no one seems to use the self-serve machines, in spite of the actual postal worker standing there just waiting to assist. The entire staff is consistently efficient, smart, and helpful. I'll wait an extra few minutes while the clerk patiently explains all the mailing options available to the little old lady one more time. Then helps her count out all the coins in her change purse. Holiday UPS looks very much like my own personal version of hell: flickering flourescent lights, 30 person lines with either a) a question, b) 10 international packages or c) a lost in the god-only-knows-how-big catacombs of UPS, while only 2 personnel rotate at the desk with a look on their faces, and low-vibrancy tones of voice that are not unlike that of the waiting room of Beetlejuice. read more

2 stars maybe if Shaye isn't working, but if she is, 10 stars all day long! Shaye is warm, welcoming, smiley, knowledgable, helpful, genuine, and just awesome. I had a difficult item to package and ship until Shaye helped me. She made everything seamless and as pleasant as could be. I'm not throwing around "best experience" lightly; Shaye created the best post office experience I can remember having. It wasn't just me either. I saw her interact with a regular local customer and she was just as amazing with him as she was with me. Thank you Shaye for being AWESOME! Remember the Nike ad, "Be Like Mike". I'm really unsure why this post office is so hated because it's way better than my local one. Every time I come there's ample parking and barely anybody in line. The mail drop for pre-paid packages is in the front lobby so you don't even have to interact with humans at all if you don't want to. They have a pretty good supply of packing materials to buy. If it's too spendy for you the CVS a block away has packing materials too. Honestly one of the easiest post offices I've frequented, but still not 5 stars because going to the post office sucks no matter where. read more

Mahbub is a lazy asshole I dropped off a package over a week ago that still has yet to be scanned in the system because of the contents of the package I wanted to make sure that it was in transit. so I went into the post office and spoke with a manager who told me to come back in a couple of days if it still hadn't been scanned and she would try to help. I came back a couple days later because it still hadn't been scanned and Mahbub told me there's nothing he can do and referred me to an international call number which I called and they told me there is nothing they can do as well. I asked him if he can go and grab the manager who I spoke with who was nicer to me and actually tried to help me. he went back for five seconds came back and said we have too many managers And no one remembers speaking with you. I then asked him if there was anything he can do and he said no. so a few weeks earlier I had another run in with Mahbub. I ordered a heavy package from Amazon that "tried to deliver "my package when I was home but was unable and left a letter saying to pick up the package from my local post office. so of course I went to the post office and Mahbub told me my package wasn't there without even looking for it. when I asked him if he could go in the back and check he did. 25 minutes later came back out front and told me to meet him at the side door because it was a big package. when he gave me the package he said please don't order anything like this again it's very heavy and I told him that I ordered through Amazon and they didn't deliver it to my house when I was at home it's not my fault. then he told me if you do decide to order something like this again don't order it on a day like Tuesday which is a very busy day for them... i hate this place and Mahbub sucks! read more

I had the best experience here! Clean. Fast. Well stocked always. But this was the Friday before Father's Day. I realized the night before I had dropped my dads gift in the box with incorrect postage! I returned in the morning and the INCREDIBLE employee JANICE went back and found my package just before it was put on the truck. We were able to fix the postage and get the gift to him in time!! The post office is always one of my dreaded errands that I avoid and postpone as much as possible. With that said, I have come here about 4 or 5 times in the past 6 months and on more than one occasion, I have noticed one of the employees (also the ONLY employee to do this) going out of her way to keep up with everyone waiting in line to see how they can most efficiently be serviced. This awesome employee, JANICE, is the most helpful person I have ever met in a post office. She is very friendly and kind as well as being extremely knowledgeable and courteous. She has helped me on previous visits and as I went to mail my letter today I couldn't help but just watch her work the room. She had such a handle on helping more than one person at a time with questions big and small. She made such an impression that I wanted to leave her a compliment that management could see because she GREATLY IMPROVES the quality, speed and efficiency of my visit to the post office each and every time by being extremely knowledgeable, helpful and respectful to everyone. It really makes my transactions go faster and more efficiently and I hope that someone will take notice of what a valuable employee she is. She takes the initiative to help people and I would love to see others follow her lead to improve the USPS experience. While others sit back, Janice steps up to the plate every time I have been there. Thank you Janice for making my transaction so smooth and my overall experience lovely. Well I mailed two packages. One boxed arrived with all items completely broken when I told the lady it was fragile items and she refused to put a fragile sticker on my package. The other box got returned to me....WTF. mailed same time to the same address. I had to go back to the post office to get a refund just to get sent to another office with a supervisor. They tracked the other package to make sure I was truthful, only then I got my refund. So if I only had one package would I not be honored a refund? It was a fail. 1 package returned (fight for a refund) 1 package arrived ( all contents destroyed). 1 star because I did get my $13 back. read more

Try to avoid at all costs unless you want to be treated badly. A select few of the clerks are nice but some are terrible mean people with an axe to grind. Usually a long slow wait. Certain clerks make it nearly impossible for you to have a pain free experience. They could care less about being polite to the customers they would rather be hostile. Unfortunately, the mail boxes at my apartment have been broken into and I have to get mail at the post office. They will not give me my business mail, only mail addressed to me personally. Plus, I had to bring a utility bill as my driver's license address is not the same as my home address. Additionally, I could barely understand the clerk who helped me. He sounded like he worked at 7-11, and was rude. He refused to get a supervisor to help me until I threatened to post on social media. The supervisor was less than helpful. DREADFUL in all aspects: service, parking, competency & politeness of staff & reliability/trustworthiness.No wonder the USPS is going broke I recently used the self serve kiosk to purchase postage for a document containing very sensitive employment documents including my bank routing number & account number, social security number, etc. I put the tracking label on the envelope but not the postage sticker. As soon as I fed the envelope through the slot I realized what I did (my bad). I waited until one of the counter staff had a minute and asked if a manager could come out to fish out my document before the mail bin was removed. She rudely informed me to stand in line, which I did for 20 minutes. Only then did she call a manager who didn't help me - she said she could only fetch parcels for customers with a pickup slip. The clerk got frustrated and reluctantly said she'd do it and met me at the appropriate door. I showed her the envelope, affixed the postage sticker and dropped it back in the pile. The document never made it to the destination, nor could it be tracked (!?) The staff at the post office were hopeless in helping me. Without a doubt I believe the surly female clerk who assisted me did something to my document (trashed it most likely). I've since enabled credit alerts and will never mail sensitive docs from this location. The other kicker with this location is due to inadequate parking, often times idiots park in the drive through mail box drop-off line thus creating confusion, parking jams and irate drivers (count me in).
