I would give this 0 stars but that's not an option. I have been forced to use this office as they will no longer deliver mail to my house due to an issue with my dogs. Fair enough. I got a PO Box which was the worst mistake EVER. I generally have to wait 2-3 WEEKS longer for packages to be delivered. No explanation as to why there is a delay as the manager is NEVER around (nor can he ever return a phone call). None of the employees can seem to answer a question and generally move at their own pace. I would recommend to ANYONE who has to use the Post Office to go to the branch on Canoga Avenue. Avoid this branch if you value your sanity, free time, and overall disposition. read more

There's an occasional hit or miss with this post office. When it's good it's good when it's bad it's RIDICULOUS. This particular location has a bad habit of scanning packages and labeling them as DELIVERED when they actually have not been. There has been a few careless occasions where I was expecting a package to be delivered...checked the tracking progress all the way through, saw the package had been scanned as "OUT FOR DELIVERY" and later in the day scanned as "DELIVERED" only to arrive home and no package is neither in my mailbox or on my doorstep. Theft is not an issue in my area as I have quite nosey neighbors and I live in a duplex where there is someone home pretty much at all times of the day. We are able to see each others front door's and we keep an eye out for each other's packages (we will actually bring them inside for each other at times to hold if necessary) so someone randomly picking up our packages is not an issue. I feel the deliverers are being very careless in how they are scanning packages and are not always providing the correct information while processing mail. OR they could be stealing packages themselves under the assumption that residents would just assume some random person came and stole the package. It's frustrating for the sender and the receiver because both sides are losing money. I am in the process of seeking a way to file every complaint that I have from here on out as high up as I can get. When I obtain information on where our complaints can be filed, heard and something is ACTUALLY DONE ABOUT IT instead of the run-around and unanswered calls we are making to the post office...I will update this review and share it. read more

There is never a line at this location! If there is it's short at quick getting in and out. I see people rotate locations often so you may see others here that you have seen elsewhere. Get one of the pre sized boxes / with labels for a speedy drop off so you don't have to wait in line. They also have p.o. Boxes available at this location, priority shipping & ups drop boxes. Beware parking! Accidents happen on Keswick St. nearly every day. The Intersection meets with one way entry to the post office. Came here to send my passport paperwork and Lisa was so nice and friendly. She guided me through the whole process. When I went to Woodland Hills location the rep there was so rude and just pushed me to the side to help someone else. Service has generally been MEH here. I don't usually have problems with packages, but recently since I moved I had a forward to my new address but for some reason instead one of my packages to my new address.. though it said "forwarded".. with no update for four days.. they decided to ship it back to the sender. I understand I have to wait due to the forward, but it was pretty upsetting finding out that my package wasn't going to arrive. I also had to wait 1 hour and 30 minutes on the phone with USPS to file my "investigation" which was freaking useless. The incorrect post office called me back and the ones responsible aren't being held accountable. Anyhow this rant probably won't make any difference, but I hope it helps someone know they're not alone lol. read more

Where do I start? At the request of my father, I placed an order online at USPS.com to have a package redelivered here as opposed to having it left on my fathers' front porch until he arrives home from work. We received a confirmation from the website clearly explaining package would be held here for pick up. I called and spoke with a rep at the post office (who wouldn't give their name, btw) who explained that they had the confirmation and the package would be available for pick up. He shows up to pick up the package and it isn't there. The counter person said per their records, it is out with the carrier, even though he had a confirmation clearly stating it would be at the post office for pick up. No straight answers, just the usual brain dead, civil servant gibberish, blank stares, etc. I swear Newman or Cliff Clavin are running this place. Oh and the real kicker here? He received several "Sorry we missed you notices" from the letter carrier, even though we requested it be held at the post office itself. Three trips later, not only isn't held at the post office, but delivered to his home which was the exact opposite of what he requested. Wow...your tax dollars at work. I'm assuming that reading comprehension isn't a job requirement here. All in all a frustrating experience with this location. With service like this, small wonder the postal service is irrelevant, and I can only wonder how much more the welfare rolls will increase when this dinosaur goes extinct and the automatons who are employed here will be out of work. I have been to this post office 3 or 4 times to drop off packages. I have never had a problem with the service at this location. All of my items have been scanned wether I hand it to someone or drop it in the box out front. They are very good about registering an acceptance scan. But for whatever reason this office gets ungodly busy at all times of the day. Every time I go here there is a long line. I always go in the middle of the week during working hours and the line is out the door. There is never enough parking in the lot, but you can usually find street parking. They need more employees to cut down the wait time. But the employees they have do their jobs very well. read more

Love this place! Extremely reliable, always send my mail through this place! Also, after a package I order got lost in the mail I filed a claim immediately. They got back to me within 24 hours (I filed the claim on a Sunday) and assured me that they would look for my package and try to have it delivered to me within the week. Ernesto Espinoza, the customer service supervisor, was extremely helpful in looking for the missing package and made sure to keep me updated on the hunt for my mail. We got the package in a little less than a week and are incredibly impressed with USPS and will ABSOLUTELY continue to use it's services! read more

I've been having the same P.O. box at this location for over ten years. Recently they started locking up the area where the P.O. boxes are located for safety purposes. They are suppose to be open to allow access to your mail until 6:30p during the week. Unfortunately, they NEVER stay open until 6:30. read more

The parking is decent, i go there alot and the employees always politely educate me on the best way to send my packages: faster, less expensive, what packaging to use next time etc. They dont have time to be "overly friendly" wich i appreciate cuz im busy too. This post office is a little run down, but that I think is mostly because it's a high traffic zone and all the postal workers are focused on helping customers and shipping packages. This place is special to me because the folks are just so nice. The attendants at the counter feel like friends, recognize me when I come, and genuinely seem to care about me and my day! They never answer the phone!! When you are clear across the country and need info from this post office, don't bother, they never answer.

I can't bring myself to go there again after today. Or, if I do, it will just be to the drive-up drop boxes. I had a package needing to go out by Media Mail. It was stamped and ready to go. For Media Mail, I don't think you can pay and print the shipping label online and just drop it in the mailbox if it's over 13 ounces - maybe that rule has changed but it was not available on the USPS website last time I looked. Soooo, I go in there with my package. Not a long line, 4 people ahead of me. "Great, I'll be outta here in a few minutes." 3 minutes turned to 10. 15. 20. There's an Asian lady at the counter whose package sent to Minnesota was lost. The clerk goes back and does a web search for the tracking number and prints out the data. Brings it back to the counter. Tries to explain to the lady that it's out for delivery. That takes 5 minutes or more - meanwhile, only one other clerk is on another window. Clueless Asian guy who doesn't seem to speak much English cuts in front of me in the line at the last minute. A-hole. He'd been filling out a customs form at the rear counter and I guess felt entitled. I didn't want to take the time to argue with him though. It took 20 minutes or more to get outta here, with a line of only 4 people. Then again, the USPS was never known for efficiency. The building has decayed even more since my last visit. More ceiling tiles are gone, leaving the sheet metal piping and 'guts of the building' exposed. Asbestos dripping from the ceiling right onto our heads and into our lungs. Well, maybe. I hope not. I can't go there again. My own PO box is in Van Nuys but I live close to this post office. I'll avoid in the future though. read more

Been going here for many years. Same people working the counter and they are great. Fast, efficient and very helpful if you have questions. In car mail drop off is always a good feature too. Although some people seem to not be prepared when they pull up to the mail box and take forever to find their mail, put it in the slot then move on. read more
