    Busy afternoon
    Ane V.

This post office location is busy it seems. I have to circle and park on the street because their parking lot is full due to its limited spots. Upon entering, I was taken a aback by the line that is quiet long. The place is small and cramped making a claustrophobic person run. There were 2 postal personnel's manning the counter. I waited like 10 minutes to be served. Once my transaction was done, I ran out of that place.

UPDATED REVIEW... I've had really bad service here two times in a row! Kenneth was not friendly and really seemed like he was pissed to be at work. He has zero social skills and personality. I don't understand why someone would work in customer service when that individual has no customer service skills??? This post office has its act together! Great service! Fast and efficient employees. Lot parking and street parking available. Drive through regular mail drop off as well. Safe area! Give this location a try!

3 out of 4 workers have told me they don't offer media mail. The 4th worker finally confirmed they do today. Why aren't they being truthful?

Avoid like the Plague!!…read more Rude miserable condescending employees! (I watched them snap at other customers too--telling one person to "hurry up and take a picture, there's a line.") As for my experience: Terrible service. Agnes was rude right from the start. I asked which box I should use for my shipping label, and she snapped, "You don't know?" I asked if she could scan the label I was clearly holding, and she just told me to go pack my item without explaining anything. I asked which box to use since they're different prices, and she said, "Pick a box. I don't know." Super unhelpful. After I packed it and waited in line again, she said, "It's not taped," with a bad attitude. No help, no explanation, just rude. I finally asked for a supervisor, who was calm and actually explained how everything works. This whole thing didn't need to happen. Really bad customer service.

I go check theres nothing. I call the local office 8601 Canoga no one answers 20 calls later an idiot named Si gh answers and proceeds to tell me he can't help but the supervisor Angel would call me in 15mins. well.. Angel never called. I call back a couple of hrs later and a rude lady Joanna tells me Angel is at another facility and Singh is gone for the day! Wow! I explained the issue telling her I havent received anything. she reads the email back to me as if thats new to me and tells me with an attirude that im missing it that it should be there and if it says it was delivered it should be there. Great! no help. Two days later, to my surprise! an empty manila envelope is in my mailbox OPENED w stickers and writing stating no contents inside/ openned. So, why did I get a notification stating my package was delivered on Tue? why the lies? Why claim to have scanned/delivered it. I go over to the office on friday and the ding dong "supervisor" Angel all he does is excuse everybody in his office telling me stuff happens and literallly telling me "oh well". Zero accountability for the false scan/ terrible customer service/ the lies/ theft! Lastly he makes up a new story telling me someone turned in the empty envelope. Everyone at this place is useless Doug, Joanna, Singh, and the worst one of all Angel who should be demoted immediately. What a useless excuse of a person.

I was transferred to a supervisor who yelled at me for putting my mail on hold, and accused me of being a criminal because I didn't live there anymore and was holding the mail for the entire address, which she said is a "criminal offense" and "I'm not honoring this request". THEN SHE HUNG UP ON ME! How was I supposed to know holds were by address, instead of by name?! I was just holding it until I got a permanent address. Moving is stressful enough to be yelled at over a friggin' mail hold! I immediately called her back and asked her why she abruptly hung up, and she changed her tone and said she didn't know I had anything else to say. Really? How about asking, like you're supposed to, and stop being a drama queen by implying that someone is a criminal for putting THEIR mail on hold! I asked her if I needed to do anything else, and she said no she already cancelled the hold request and I should forward my mail. She gave me a general delivery address (which I had no idea existed) to forward my mail to until I got a permanent address. Which is what she should've done during the first call instead of abruptly hanging up! I return her missed call as a courtesey and she gets an attitude with me! THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE! USPS needs to change mail holds to be by NAME, instead of address, like a logical person would expect it to be!

And even by Bicycle!!! Wait, whattttt????? Yes, the company which was started by two teenagers who began a messenger delivery service by bicycle in 1907 turned out to be the largest package delivery system globally of its time. Of course, nowadays, other companies have come into play, putting their own spin on how they can get you your package even quicker. Despite this.... UPS is still a Global Leader in its industry and ships nearly 6 billion packages per year. Fun fact: UPS stands for United Parcel Service. ------------------------------ Personally, I love shipping items via UPS. The guaranteed tracking number that comes with every single thing you ship and not having to pay extra (I know I know, the price is built in) but it's the principle of it and I like being able to track what I'm sending out. Also, sending something with USPS aka snail mail just doesn't give me the same confidence that my package will arrive like when I ship it with UPS. Also, I love UPS' consistency. If you see a UPS driver in your neighborhood around 1pm today, you will more than likely see them in your neighborhood tomorrow at.... You guessed it, 1 p.m. Yeah, Their routes are carefully researched and designed for consistency which makes for a reliable service that you can count on. Fun Fact: UPS has implemented for drivers to only make "right hand turns" to avoid accidents and improve efficiency. Anyone ever see a UPS driver go left?? lol But Lance, what if you don't have time to sit on your porch and wait for that reliable UPS driver to roll through at 1 pm like you claim they do? Enter the UPS store!! Yeah baby! A brick and mortar store front where Monday through Friday you can drop off your package from 830-7pm (10-4 on Saturdays, 10-3 on Sundays) and leave there with the confidence that your package will get picked up by a UPS driver and then later delivered to its destination as scheduled. Other than dropping off your UPS packages.... The UPS Store offers the following services: -Fax Machine Services -Notary -Passport ID Photos -Office & Mailing Supplies -Amazon Returns!!! So.... Who's ready to ship some stuff??

I went in to mail a package during a slow time. I greeted and spoke to her - as I greet and speak to everyone- with positivity, kindness, and consideration; however, she was dismissiveness, bitter, and rushed (even though there was no line). It's possible she has worked there for a long time, felt burnt out, and or was having a bad day, but when I saw her being very kind to an older gentlemen next to me - who she seemed to know and or who supposedly comes in often - it became clear she was conditionally nice to him and for whatever reason not to me. Her demeanor was a stain on the environment and my experience. I would encourage the Tarzana Post Office Management to revisit her employment status. In a society where there's a lack of kindness and decency, genuine people are hard to come by; when genuine people themselves are treated with disrespect and unkindness, action then needs to be taken, otherwise the company culture suffers for the other employees and the customers they serve, like me. For those living/visiting the Tarzana/Encino areas, I strongly advise driving further elsewhere to another post office if you want better service - or if you want to keep your joy.
