My boyfriend and I came here on Valentine's Day night for dinner. They had a special where couples got 10% off, and a free cream puff and rose! Upon walking in, I was impressed by the new interior or what use to be Cream Whiskers. It looked very spacious with plenty of seating, and was brightly lit. They also decorated the inside with roses and balloons, which I thought was very festive and adorable! We were able to be quickly seated and ordered the UTea pho with a matcha ajuki cream puff. The food came out quick, and we enjoyed the pho! It tasted very authentic and was reasonably priced for the portion you get. They definitely did not skimp on the meat! I liked the matcha cream puff from the old Cream whiskers more, but the cream puff here is good nonetheless! The service is great here and extremely quick and friendly! The owner is a cheerful, friendly man and constantly stopped to check up on us and to refill our cups with water. Cream whiskers has been replaced by a new vietnamese eatery! This place offers pretty solid pho, bahn mi, rice bowls, fried rice, and vermicelli in addition to the cream puffs that were available at Cream Whiskers. Great pho and so close to campus! I live right next to it so I go there quite a lot. Love their expanded menu this year. I recommend the Shrimp Singapore Noodle if you aren't quite in the mood for pho. Also, their blueberry smoothies are made fresh and are quite good! ive been here multiple times with my family and alone since theres not many vietnamese places in austin (hence the 2 different pictures). compared to houston vietnamese restaurants this is okay. its not the best but it does the job. crab rangoons had little filling in them and pad thai couldve been better. meat was sometimes dry. also they had a weird $0.35 to go fee? either way it's great if youre looking for a pho fix! read more

Ordered the UTea Pho (the "dac biet" option) for lunch on a Monday. In short, UTea Pho almost takes over the #1 spot on my Austin pho joint list. Highlights: - good meat to broth ratio. I skipped breakfast and came away very full. - clear broth, not too oily or too salty - noodles were thin and stringy but not fragile, just like I like them - brisket was tender - steak was tender with a bit of fatty appendage, excellent. - meatballs were.. meatballs. Can't go wrong here. - came with all the standard fixings (bean sprouts, herbs, lime, hoisin, sriracha) Don't let its proximity to campus fool you, this is quality pho. Inside aesthetic is not as authentic as Tan My but food quality is very comparable. Tan My was in my opinion the only decent pho in Austin, now there is a competitor or at least close substitute. At 9.25 after tax, UTea is cheaper than Yaya and better quality than 888. They validate parking in the garage right next door, or you can pay $1 an hour for street parking nearby. read more

I was honestly skeptical of this place before I went, because it used to be a bakery and cafe, but changed into a pho + cafe restaurant. I was pleasantly surprised when I walked in. I found this place while walking around West Campus. Seems like a newer place. It was delicious! It's limited seating, maybe 10-12 tables but it's worth it! The Pho was so good, chicken was cooked perfect and the broth wasn't too salty like some places usually are. We also ordered egg rolls and spring rolls which were also very good! Food is ok. There are some dishes I like. I always place to-go orders. But it seems about an additional takeout fee is silently charged, making Me never leave a tip any more. Recently I got a wrong food order and was offered to take it for free. I was so nice that I agreed to pay for the original order as I assumed the wrong order was more expensive. Later I found out the wrong order is cheaper than what I actually paid. I came back and requested to speak to the manager, who refused to meet me. I left my contact and a note and 2 days later I was offered to get the refund of the price difference. read more

It took us at least 40 minutes to get our food. Which was good but not great. I think if anything the food did not live up to the hype that we heard about this place. The pho is probably one of the more decent phos you can get around the UT campus. Considering its price (~$8) I think it's about average. The spring rolls, while not traditional, were good. The meat inside was definitely the highlight. The Banh mi sandwich (I got the special), was again good and fair priced for what you can get around UT. The bread could have stood to be toasted a tad longer. The cream puff itself is a lot smaller than it used to be when UTea Pho was just Cream Whiskers so that was a little disappointing. Although the cream puff still tasted great. Overall a fair vietnamese spot, with its highlight being its quality and price compared to other Vietnamese restaurants/ food spots near walking distance of UT campus. Definitely something if you want something close by and need a Vietnamese fix but don't expect the full vietnamese cuisine experience read more

Insanely good pho here, super prompt service, average prices but huge portion sizes. The pho broth was insanely meaty and the rare steak inside was tender and not chewy whatsoever.
