I've been here a few times when I was on campus, and it's my first time trying their beef bulgogi bowl! I used to always just get their kimbap. The beef bulgogi bowl is surprisingly a bigger portion than I thought and I love the gochujang (red sauce) mixed with the mayonnaise. They go very well together. It's a little bit spicy that's typical of gochujang. There's a fried egg on top! They also added cut up japchae (glass noodles) with the rice, which was new to me but it works as the rice and noodles are both soft. The space is very small but we went during irregular lunch hours (3 PM) so we were able to sit after ordering from the kiosks. They play Korean music and I believe the owner is usually there. This is on Guad so it may be tough to find parking but we parked in West Campus on Sunday aka free parking day.

although there are better places out there, this place is filled with memories for me. late night studying were always fueled by their beef bulgogi bowl - rice and japchae noodles mixed with sweet and savory bulgogi. good enough for two meals and will always take me back! the chicken meat tastes a little strange though *.*

Came here for a late lunch, ordered a beef bulgugi bowl and it came out pretty quick. I loved that there's noodles mixed with rice and an egg inside the bowl - the sauce is delicious and it def enhance the beef. The price is decent for the portion and I think I will return in the future!

Kimbap sounds good to me, often. We always seem to leave our own sriracha bottle behind when we think about eating Kimbap. Small place inside, two 4 top and some counter seats along two sides of the wall. Street paid parking is supposedly available, but nothing was open. There is supposed to be an Air Garage parking a block away, but not seeing an entrance, so not super convenient for grabbing carry out much. By the University of Texas at Austin. My husband's patience is wearing thin as we do loops to find parking and keep running into one ways to get to where we want. Finding street parking but requires UT permit parking, which we clearly don't have at all. Finally found street parking a couple of blocks away. Order and pay at the kiosk. We grabbed 3 tuna Kimbap, added jalapeño and kimchi, original Kimbap and tteokbokki with extra rice cake and dumplings. Order number 92, sent us a text with the receipt. $54.62 Warning the extra spicy was too spicy for me, made eating the Tteokbokki rather painful. Most of the rice cake was overcooked and mushy, except for one piece that was super hard for some reason. The dumplings fell apart on us. The hard boiled eggs were good. The Tteokbokki was just average. The tuna and original Kimbaps are both pretty good, some bites were bigger than others, the ends mostly. The rolls are nicely packed and full. The Kimbaps are a solid 4.

This hole in the wall restaurant has some incredible Korean food! Located on the drag, it is frequented by UT students. I can see why business is booming during peak hours because the food is absolutely phenomenal. It's a small little restaurant but very well kept and clean. The owner was there and he is a nice guy. Quick and quality service all around. I enjoyed the kimbap and Dduk boki. The Dduk boki had just the right spicy kick to it and had eggs and fish cakes in it. If you're in the mood for some great Korean food, this is the place to visit. I can't wait to try more of the yummy dishes on the menu.

This really hit the spot for me! I don't often get Korean food and if I do, it's usually just KBBQ or a bulgogi bowl. But I love a good kimbap and it's rare to find a shop that sells it near home. When visiting Austin, for some reason I was craving Korean food. They are located along a row full of Asian food spots. Kiosk for easy ordering. Great service. I wished I ordered ordered more food but this was filling enough for dinner.

This was a great place to eat before an event downtown. Fast service and yummy food! We will check it out again when we are back in Austin.

Not bad Not bad. I was really craving some tteokbokki and if you don't know, they're basically thick fat noodles (rice cakes) that are simmered in a thick spicy and kind of sweet sauce, effing delicious. With some of that cheese on top, chefs kiss. If you can get those added extras, with fish cakes, noodles, etc. even better. The dishes here aren't too pricey but they do give you pretty nice size portions. Meat was good, rice, egg. No complaints, I'd probably come back here again if I'm ever in the area! This shop is small, but there are a couple of tables inside. The hardest part of this journey would probably be the parking, especially if it was on a busy day. There are paid parking slots and a garage available, it isn't too bad.

No bathrooms (that i saw, but I grabbed something to go so I'm not positive). No parking. It's off the street so street parking or parking at the dominos or co-op parking a few blocks up the street. This is not a gluten free facility. I had the lunch plate with rice, egg, kimchi, and spicy chicken. There was a couple of pot stickers but I didn't eat them, but they looked great! I also got some boba and milk tea. Friendly service and quick too! Very good food and spicy chicken was mild spice for my spice loving people!

A really simple Korean restaurant on UT campus. There's street parking. The food menu is small and affordable. I tried their Kimbop, fried dumpling, and dduk boki. I dip my fried dumplings into the dduk boki. All of them were good!

Ever since Fall 2018, I've been a huge fan of this place! I order my usual milk tea and beef bulgogi bowl and it's always been so yummy. The owner is super sweet and cares about his customers. Ambiance is very happy and although it's small, it's v nice and intimate for convos and good lunches or dinners.

That said, this was easily the best Korean meal I've had in Austin, and honestly, it might be the best I've had in Texas. The soondubu arrived absolutely piping hot. I ordered the mushroom version, and it was packed with a wide variety of mushrooms rather than just a few token pieces. Even when ordered spicy, the broth still had incredible depth and flavor that wasn't just heat for the sake of heat. The tteokbokki was addictive. We ended up adding cheese and ramen, which took it to another level. The marinated kalbi was equally impressive: high-quality meat with very little fat and generous portions. The banchan was also top-tier. Standouts included the soy-glazed potatoes, fresh kimchi, and japchae. They also serve purple rice, which has a wonderful chewy texture and feels like a more thoughtful alternative to standard white rice. The food alone would bring me back, but the service was excellent as well; friendly, attentive, and efficient. We came for an early dinner and got seated right away, but if you're planning to come during peak dinner hours, expect a wait. The locals clearly know this place is something special. Huge parking lot and the dining area is bright and airy, even playing the world cup games. Seems to be very family friendly.

The cold noodles had a great taste, but were not served with any accompaniment except some ginger. The six pieces of galbi we ordered included one piece that was purely gristly and bone. We had a pretty uncomfortable table wedged between a large family dinner and the server station, blocked from the windows by a giant wall.

We didn't get a single bad cut and everything was flavorful and cooked well. What really made this place stand out though was the service. MJ took care of us and was incredible from start to finish. Since it was our first time, she walked us through the menu and even helped cook the meats so we could actually relax and enjoy our time together. She stayed on top of the grill, swapping it out right when needed, and was always checking in to see if we needed anything or wanted more banchan. What stood out the most was how thoughtful she was with my parents. She made sure they had food on their plates without overdoing it, which was such a small detail but meant a lot. The food was great, but MJ really made the experience. Definitely coming back.

From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with genuine warmth and such positive energy. The welcoming atmosphere, attentive service, and chill vibe made us feel right at home. Every dish we ordered was outstanding and packed with flavor. The seafood pancake was cooked to crispy perfection, something that's surprisingly hard to find, as it's often left a bit doughy at other restaurants. The steamed egg was light, fluffy, and comforting, while the spicy tofu pork soup was phenomenal. It had just the right amount of heat, with silky, melt-in-your-mouth tofu and incredibly tender pork belly that paired perfectly with a bowl of rice. What truly elevated the experience, though, was the service. At one point I accidentally dropped my chopsticks, and before I could even ask for another pair, one of the servers noticed from across the restaurant and immediately brought me a new set. It's those small, thoughtful touches that really set a restaurant apart. SOHA exceeded my expectations in every way. Narrow Street 512 serves up Authentic Korean food with a personal touch. It feels like you're eating a home cooked meal at your Aunt's home in Korea. I experienced Narrow Street as a solo diner. My go-to dish I order 90 percent of the time I go there is the Chadol Plate (A3). It is beef brisket. You normally need to go to a KBBQ spot and get covered in a layer of smoke. Skip smelling like a campfire and get A4 at Narrow Street. The beef brisket comes with rice served in a metal bowl. You get 3 or four small plastic containers of banchan the rotates seasonally. There is a variety of different kimchi, fish cake, corn slaw, potato salad and more. Once in a while I like to switch it up and I order the Cold Noodles (F1) or squid and pork stir fry (A4). The cold noodles are refreshing with crisp cucumber, white radish kimchi, and korean pear. The noodles are bouncy with a nice chew. Great in Summer and Winter. The Squid and pork stir fry comes with a bowl of rice and it is quite spicy. It is spicier than average but still less spicy than Thai chili. The chewy squid and pork are nicely complemented with the crunchy stir fried cabbage. Once you taste it you can't stop eating it. The price at Narrow Street very reasonable for what you get in my opinion. It is sit down restaurant quality food in a fast casual setting. I am going to focus more on the cooked items as most people here already gave their review on the sushi. Hangover ramen, not too bad. It is like Shin Ramen Instant Noodles with a lighter flavor, nice touch with the bean sprout as it is a needed texture element. Add the gyoza into it and it makes it even better.
