My car was hit by someone whiled parked. Needed new front bumper, headlight, fender and wheel repair. Eddie is very approachable and friendly and was willing to work with me and the insurance company to get the custom headlights on the car repaired properly, which I apprecated. Unfortunately, it took over 6 WEEKS and lots of missed promises and several blatant lies from Eddie and Cindy for this repair to be completed, which even bearing in mind the slight complication of finding the right parts to match what was on the car, is pretty ridiculous. The insurance company even cut off the rental car and the shop had to pay for the last few days. I would have accepted this delay if the workmanship was excellent. Unfortunately, the car was dirty when I picked it up, they had not refilled the AC which I immediately noticed was not working and had to wait longer, and the car was still quite dirty even after a quick cleaning by the staff. I had to pay to get a real detailing done later. They also ordered the wrong headlights but did make another small change to the car to make them match, with my permission, which was ok. But the most disappointing is the sloppy work on the paint. I've attached one example of how carelessly and poorly done the paint is... see the giant glob dripping down the door? Lots of dust and other contaminants in the rest of the paint. I think Eddie would probably fix it but I would have to go back and ask for yet another correction and I'm so sick of dealing with this problem and shop. Especially since it's 35 mins (took me an hour one of the times because of traffic) away from where I live in DC. read more

I drive a late model VW GTI. Up until recently, I had been going to the dealership to get service done, as the first three critical service intervals were included with my purchase. When the 40,000 mile service interval came around, I had a feeling I was in for an expensive bill! I started calling around to a few dealerships, where prices varied. I did my research and knew that the 40,000 was really just a basic inspection with only a few necessary part and fluid changes (for my model, transmission, drivetrain, etc.). Some dealership service departments had some SKY HIGH prices! I kept calling around, and I'm glad I did because I found VAG! My initial quote was well below what I expected to have to pay for this service, but the professional I spoke with ensured that I would be getting the proper checkouts by certified techs. So I decided to give these guys a shot! They got me into a time slot that worked for me, and conveniently because there was a cancellation - I was able to drop my car off the next day! When I dropped my GTI off, my adviser checked the car in and gave me a ride to the Metro station near by. Talk about service... I didn't even have to take off from work! The next day I came to pick up my car and they even showed up early so I could get to work on time. I got a complete rundown of the condition of my car, what was done, what needs to be done soon as well as some potential performance upgrades should I choose to go that way. Not only that, but they washed the exterior and detailed the interior. It felt like she was brand new when I hopped back in the driver seat. I was completely BLOWN AWAY by the level of service and awesome pricing, but I appreciated their professionalism even more! This place does great work. I had them do work on my 2015 BMW X5: replace front bumper, headlights, fender, molding, and repaint the hood. VAG Auto Body is honest and stands behind their work. Cindy, the office manager, made the process easy. She arranged for the rental car with the insurance agency and rental company. I had previously called the insurance adjuster a few times to try and have them authorize a rental, but they never called back. Cindy was able to do that for me the same day I told her about the issue. Throughout the process she communicated progress with me on a regular basis; I didn't have to reach out to her to ask her for a status. She made the whole process of coordinating between the insurance company and rental car company pain free. Eddie, the owner, was very accessible and took the time to explain the repairs in detail. He did a thorough inspection and identified many issues the insurance appraiser missed. He also worked with them to insure that the car was restored to its original condition; the insurance company wanted to install reconditioned parts but he pushed back and ultimately installed new parts all from BMW. He's also dedicated to making sure his customers are satisfied. When I picked up my car I noticed that one of the headlight washers was not flush with the bumper. Instead of having me come back the follow week, he and his team stayed past closing time on a Friday to fix the issue. I noticed a few rough spots on the paint and HE personally clay'd the car to a smooth finish. I'm very particular about the details, and Eddie and his team pulled through to my satisfaction. A wonderful experience and I know that's hard to say about body shops but this place is amazing! I was greeted promptly as soon as I walked in to the office by Cindy who's was more than willing to drop what she was doing to take care of me. It's a great feeling to feel like a priority because I saw that she was busy. After she took my information they assessed the damage and gave me options to take care of it. I was the victim of taking care of my lady's car after she was attacked by a parking hump that nearly ripped the front bumper off . Nevertheless I was in and out in 15-20 minutes appraisal and everything. Had a nail in the tire of my BMW and didn't want to take it to the service center where they would charge me an arm and leg. I happened to drive by VAG auto shop, where Eddie so graciously offered to take the nail out and patch my tire for no charge! The rest is history, left the car there and i couldn't be any happier with the outcome. I have a 2014 Audi SQ5. Since late 2014 I have had a series of unusual events occur with this vehicle. My car was stolen and then a few month later I was involved in an accident. If your looking for honest shops go find somewhere else because I had them fix my car and guest what? the part fell off the car to the point that I almost cause an accident. I gave the car back to them for a second fix, they charged me for parts not the labor that I didn't even caused. They should have all of them for free since they messed up. They made me sign a waiver saying that they dont want to fix my car anymore. My $2.7k money was a waste. My harmonic balancer still wobble after the second fix. I wish I can give 0 stars. I learned that VAG stands for "Volkswagen Audi Group" (in case you're wondering), but they work on all kinds of vehicles. Their mechanics have a wide-range of experience. This enables them to take on difficult collision repair jobs sent over from other shops plus offer the full spectrum of auto maintenance. I had body repairs and A/C work done on my Honda Accord in the past and returned for detailing since the change to VAG. They took care of extra details that went above and beyond basic detailing. VAG also let me know up-front about difficult areas such as years of grime imbedded in some of the wheels that would require painting to look totally brand-new again. Well Geico needs to look at this, and definitely the owner EDDIE of VAG Auto body in Alexandria, VA off South Pickett dropped the ball. So after negative promotion over social media and two Bureau complaints the car was delivered late at night Friday. So after two days helping friends move i was able to see the car for the first time during the day. WOW WOW WOW, so there's overspray on three sides of the car, there's clear as day four places where they tried to blend the new paint with the old and left it sanded without painting, they left residue wax on the top of the car, trunk is not aligned clear as day gaps do not match, one is wider and the other not and this is the kicker they painted the car in black and not matched to original black with metallic. So they painted a few spots in the rear with metallic and the rear doors to blend in black and forgot to add metallic SMH. Clear and evident, they painted this car at the last minute, when we exposed them. So where is the QUALITY CONTROL by the owner Eddie or manager? They just let the car go without any regard. Outstanding service! I was having an issue with my remote start. I stopped by VAG as I live not that far from their location. From the minute I walked in the door everyone was very helpful and friendly. Eddy explained to me that this is not something they normally do but agreed to take a look at it.
