Great place for breakfast. Small but the place where everyone knows your name. The food is also delicious. They move fast servicing quickly. I highly recommend the oatmeal.

The most consistent breakfast place in Danville. Paulino and Lupe always provide amazing service. My drink is rarely empty.

Egg Eggs Benedict with chicken and country potatoes

Found this spot and saw they and homemade cinnamon rolls and needed to try them ASAP! Had the steak and eggs for my husband and the egg Benedict's for me and food was amazing, super fast service and the cinnamon rolls were delicious!!! We tried the regular one and saw there was only one pumpkin left so we took it to go! Good portion for food, customer service 5/5. We left very happy :). Will come back again for Aaron's cinnamon rolls!!

We have passed this restaurant several times, and today was the first time we walked in. I'm so glad that we did! We were seated in a booth at one end of the restaurant. It was clean, and we noticed that they cleaned the tables with cleaners and disposable wipes which is great because it doesn't spread the germs around. They noticed that we had a little toddler with us, and they offered him a car to play with and a coloring packet with crayons which totally made his day. He was so happy throughout the meal and did not fuss or fight with us the entire time. First, we ordered our drinks. The hot cocoa was super adorable with a mountain of whipped cream, rainbow sprinkles and an edible straw made out of Pirouline Rolled Wafers in the flavor of Chocolate Hazelnut. My stepdaughter loved this! My daughter ordered a rather large cranberry juice which was good. I ordered a mimosa, and not only was it large, it was strong! We also ordered a vanilla oat milk latte which we will order with a shot of espresso next time as we are a high octane type of family. For entrees, I ordered French toast which I have no photos of because my son grabbed one off of my plate right away. I loved how the the large scoop of butter was soft and melts in the middle of the French toast halves. I was able to quickly spread bits of butter on each slice, while dipping each slice of toast in my syrup - this was decadent! My daughter ordered the corned beef hash with scrambled eggs and sourdough. She was kind enough to let me eat some and she didn't notice that I took some away from her so she was eating it slowly. She found out that I ate some then she quickly finished the rest of her plate! My stepdaughter loved her Mickey Mouse pancakes with a side MOUNTAIN of whipped cream with rainbow sprinkles and a Pirouline Rolled Wafer! My partner wasn't in love with the Diablo sandwich but I didn't taste it. Presentation was fantastic for everything! Customer service was amazing! Everyone was so friendly and nice! I am in love with Valley Medlyn's. The kids agreed that this is our new favorite brunch spot!

This is an OG in downtown Danville. Vally Medlyn's is your classic American brunch nook, from its checkered plates down to its free coffee refills. I visited with a few friends and immediately understood why it has appealed to the average Danville resident for almost 100 years LOL Being such a tiny spot, the space fills quickly and service gets bogged down. The three of us probably waited 30+ minutes for 3 dishes, and nobody refilled water in the meantime. CALIFORNIA OMELETTE: Comes with your choice of potatoes and toast. Hash browns were bland but crisped well. Omelette was about standard, also one-note but cooked fine. You have to LOVE American food to really love this place. Like, the good ol' days American food. Like... Basic, mild palate American food. It is what it is.

Still, a great breakfast place! They will always try to get your order exactly the way you want. Regarding the bad review of the "Latina" waitress...really?? Have you ever waited tables on a busy day when it's hot? She's amazing, always hustling. In fact, the reason we come weekly is because of all of staff. Well done guys

Biscuits and Gravy with scrambled eggs.

Fantastic old school breakfast diner with great service and rib stickin food. I ordered the biscuits and gravy with two scrambled eggs. It was awesome. Classic American diner faire with an old time Danville flair. Located right downtown with plenty of street parking at 8:00am. Love this place! The kinda place where you're very likely to be sitting next to 3 Danville cops, the mayor and the the local barber all enjoying their meal, the local hospitality and warm atmosphere of Danville RFD. As Arnold says: "I'll be back"

Seriously? The service was AWFUL. The food was lousy. I don't even want to bother leaving a detailed review. Will not be back.

We enjoy the food at VMF! My daughter would go every day if I let her and my son eats everything off his plate.

The deep-fried squid (basically calamari) is just as good -- light, crispy, and not overly greasy. It's the kind of snack you order "to share" and then end up guarding. And you can't leave without trying their soft serve. The fish-shaped cone is fun on its own, but the unique soft serve flavors make it special. It's creative, delicious, and something you can't find anywhere nearby. It's heartbreaking that they're closing sometime March. Places that put this much care into both flavor and creativity deserve better. If you've ever thought about trying it, now is the time. Local gems like this don't come around often -- and they shouldn't disappear quietly.

The soft serve had an intensely creamy flavor with a high milk content and while the honey enjoyed his Thai milk tea boba, the style of my mango cup was not for me (although the fish cone option is very cute). We ordered from a tablet at the front and the service was prompt and friendly. I'd love to see them add in some outside seating as beyond the Starbucks, there's no seating in this shopping center. All in all, we may come back to order food but sadly it just wasn't a good match for the type of ice cream I enjoy.

I didn't use to be a big croissant person but JL and this place have changed my mind. My go to here is getting the Pain Suisse and a plain croissant, delicious!
