They will damage your car. Do not take your vehicle to this location. After getting an oil change, and having my filters looked at as well as fluids topped off I returned home. Upon turning on my AC I hear a horrendous rattling noise and found debris in my glove box that my AC was somehow spitting out. As well as a broken hose connecting to my air box. I do not blame the young men they were kind and seemed good intentioned. If I was inclined to guess they were not trained properly by upper management. They are sweet people but I went in for an oil change and they put engine oil in my coolant which made my car undrivable and I had to get fixed. I seldom come across businesses that are as rude and condescending as this manager and the asst. mgr.... they are incapable of having a normal dialog... they dictate... instead of communicating... Many of the regular employees are heard apologizing under their breath, and are obviously embarrassed ... I've tried numerous times when in town to do business here as it is convenient... The mechanic stripped threads on oil pan plug resulting in more than $500 damage. The problem was discovered after leaving the facility and almost resulted in complete engine failure when oil level dropped below 1qt. The company refuses to take responsibility. Oil pan and oil replaced at owners expense. We sent in the VIN to the email address that they provided and they claim in this site that their management team resolved the issue. There has been no resolution or reimbursement for this damage. Obviously they can put anything in their records that they like. What was done to reimburse for Honda replacing the damaged part? Nothing was done. Not resolved. I refuse to call their Customer Care team and wait on hold for a lame excuse. They should be reaching out to me. read more

I brought my car in to the Valvoline in Canandaigua NY for a standard oil change and shortly after my car was leaking oil so I took to my mechanic and my mechanic said that Valvoline had stripped my oil pan. I contacted Valvoline customer care and they would not take responsibility for there workers negligence. I will now need to replace oil pan and oil at my own expense of $200.00 . I went for a full service oil change on December 30th 2022 my last oil change was also at this location at first everyone was very friendly untill right near the end when they cashed me out and then told me they had to put a oversized drain plug in because on the original plug the threads were gone. Then tells me that now I need a pan saver and would have to replace my pan on my next oil change. And when I said my car only had 49,000 miles on it the front end manager told me it was because it was old and from the heating and cooling is how my threads went bad. That's bull. I changed oil for years and have vehicles that had triple the amount of miles on it and never had to replace the plug even. Basically felt like he didn't care at all and was just trying to get me out of the door. Something needs to be done. read more

Really positive experience here today. Stopped in before a cross-country trip for an oil change and also got the radiator fluid replaced and A/C unit recharged. The A/C wasn't working even after the maintenance (not their fault; I essentially drive a hunk of junk) so the guys didn't charge me - huge bonus. They also made a couple recommendations of other things to get checked out pre-trip since they don't do that work themselves. They honored coupons without hesitation, and all-in-all provided thorough, knowledgeable service. I'd definitely go back. Didn't get the name of the Assistant Manager who helped me but I trusted what he was saying, which is more than can be said for a lot of places. No wait time either. These guys have poor communication within their team and with their customers. I asked them not to adjust my tire pressure while getting oil changed, which the gentleman I spoke to called out to his coworkers to not adjust. When we saw the other guy adjusting my back left tire, we told him again not to do that. I asked him what pressure he set it at, which was 35, I asked him to put it back to 39. Neither the guy I was dealing with or myself knew that he already adjusted the right side tires to 35. When I asked him to put it back to 39, he never told us he did the other side, and didn't go adjust those ones back either. This is the most passive aggressive action to take, and now I'm left with tires at all different pressures. When I called them, he got agitated with me on the phone and recommended I bring it back in to adjust back to 39.... maybe if he told me upfront I wouldn't have to cross town to fix his mistake. If he acts that passive aggressively while I'm there, who knows what he would have done to me if I went back. I just asked him to be more proactive in the future and have open communication with his team and customers. Poor service, poor communication, and poor resolution to their mistake. I would not recommend this location to anyone with how their current operation is managed. Hopefully they read this and have a training session on communication and customer service. They know who I am writing this (silver Jeep Cherokee on 8-1-18 around 1PM) and I hope someone other than the guy who made the mistake contacts me to get my opinions on the matter. I oversee 13 heavy equipment dealerships and regularly have trainings to hold our service technicians accountable. This is a very small issue and I sound very nit picky, unfortunately, it carries big consequences. read more

I went there recently to get a temporary plug and oil change. I felt very comfortable explaining the situation of bringing in a damaged oil pan, which isn't always the case at most shops i've been too. They even took off 15 dollars because I had to wait a little longer than usual. When I asked advice about my car, everyone was very helpful and took the time to help me get a better idea about the issue my car was having. The manager took the time to come out after and talked to me for quite a while answering all my questions. It gave me relief and a much better idea about how to proceed.He then referred me to go to a place in canandaigua which ended up giving me a quote for $250 dollars less for an oil pan than any one of the million places I got quotes from. Left there very happy. Also, if anybody has any qualms with paying more for an oil change that is done by more trustworthy hands, please realize that some places that charge less could be more likely to end up stripping your oil plug,wish I went to valvoline all along. read more
