The food is OK but a chicken, mozzarella wrap with a basic drink just should not be $20 (which it was with tax and modest tip). I'm sorry but the pics of the food totally do not resemble what you get!! The mouth watering descriptions set you up for disappointment. I guess it's hard to get too enthused about a wrap. I went here on my way to lunch with a friend and had the passionfruit iced tea it was so fresh and delicious. It had the perfect amount of sugar for me, not too sweet and you could taste the tea. I was at the Vanilla Gorilla recently and had an excellent salmon sandwich. This time, I had had lunch at home and was out running errands and only decided on a cup of coffee. The small coffee was about $3.50 and the cup is really much smaller that the standard small paper cup of coffee. This was somewhat disappointing. One of my go to places for Too Good To Go orders! Cafe wise, it has a nice vibe with a good amount of seats, some sofas, and free wifi. [Out-of-Towner Review] Local versus big box, always... Every year I stay at the hotel that is about fifty steps away. There is already a great little, local coffee shop on the same street, BUT VGC opens up earlier than that one. I was happy to see it when I drove past it in my taxi to my hotel. I knew it was going to be on my list to visit at some point. All the early things going on during a work trip, means I need caffeine early and quick. VGC does the trick. I ordered soy lattes with added shots both times, and a zucchini bread loaf too. I liked it all. The loaf was a little dry, but had decent flavor and was a great option for a quick breakfast on the go. My lattes were great and I was happy to patronage a local coffee shop versus a big box coffee shop. The atmosphere was well lit and open, welcoming for anyone looking to host a meeting or study. I really wanted to try more of their food menu, because all of it looked really good. But I know I'll be back sooner than later, so it's something I'll look forward too... Staying at nearby hotel Intercontinental and this is just 3 doors or so down the block to left from hotel Main entrance. Quick walk and used the Ritual App to order which is a pickup app for restaurants and coffee shops where I accumulate points for my orders. Had a breakfast pastrino for first time-which is a sandwich using a toasted buttery croissant as the wrapper OMG it was so tasty and full of flavor and goodness as soon as I opened the wrapper , it was cut in half and pulled apart with cheese stringing to both sides. Had bacon and real chunky strips of bacon not that basic bits stuff, tomato, white cheddar cheese and scrambled eggs.. you can really tell it was made to order so fresh and warm and got the Signature vanilla latte which was tasty as well. Also packed really good the coffee has Saran Wrap so no spillage and they give hand wipes i have noticed with a lot to go food orders in city. Ok, I really love this cafe! I stumbled in here when I couldn't get a seat at Gregory's coffee down the street. I was happy to see there was tons of seating here! Bananatella Postrino: The wrap is like a cross between a flat croissant and a kati roll. It was flaky and greasy, in a good way, probably because of all the butter. Wasn't as fluffy as a regular croissant but that was fine. Inside was a generous portion of nutella with some cooked bananas. It was so indulgent, it could have been a dessert instead of breakfast!
