To be honest, I had been skeptical on the early stages of imitation meat, but was surprised to find I enjoyed my chickin' sandwich. I think they've gotten to a point of being able to make the 'meat' crispy enough to where it hides the 'obviously non-meat' flavor profile quite well. I thought the santa fe chickin' sandwich was quite well executed. The fries were nothing to write home about, but they were, at the very least, thick and crispy. Veggie grill is a great place for plant based meal options. I ordered from here quite a bit over the past couple of years and always love their food items. I personally love their bowls and salads. They rotate in new items seasonally which is always fun and adds variety. They also have a really good drink options and The food always seems well made and prepared. The prices are on par with other restaurants or cafés with plant-based options. It's definitely somewhere I like to go but more when I am ordering delivery. The parking situation can be tricky sometimes and it isn't somewhere I personally would go out of my way for. I ordered the Far East Bowl to-go from Veggie Grill today. The employee at the register was friendly and very insightful when I asked him a few questions about the menu! The only issue for me was the food. The bowl had broccoli, but the menu said it would come with broccolini. This was a bit disappointing at first, but the broccoli was tasty so it ended up not mattering to me. There was very little sauce in the bowl, which made it quite dry. I was digging to see if there might be more sauce, and I found an old French fry in the middle of my bowl... which was gross. I want to give veggie grill the benefit of the doubt because I've had much better experiences at their other locations. read more

I came on a promotion of BOGO entree, but failed to bring my friend in. I'm not sure whether this was a show stopper for me, but with COVID-19 and Omicron circulating, I really don't feel comfortable dining out and staying in a restaurant. The food is wholesome enough, but their artificial meats fall apart in the salads, so the texture appearance may be one thing, but it needs to keep together within a salad, let alone a sandwich or burger. I loved the buffalo wings; it tastes like the real deal! Of course, the texture is completely different since it looks like fish sticks, but it sure was tasty. The bulgogi in the bowl was a bit on the chewy side; the flavor was ok, but too chewy for me. I did like the sides that it came with: roasted Brussels sprouts, cauliflower rice and chopped pickled cucumbers. I was a bit disappointed because they also missed a couple items in that dish (according to the menu). They forgot the roasted tomatoes and the green onions in my dish. Hmm. Accidents happen, I suppose. Another week, another meal at Veggie Grill. Tried out something new this time, the Chili Dog Plate. Basically comes with a chili dog, potato salad & cole slaw. Initially I was already quite happy for the portion of the meal. Just because for the price compared to other items I've had here, it's cheaper so I thought the meal was going to really small. But glad it was a fair portion. Chili dog is a solid chili dog, has enough flavor & "meaty" enough to work for meat eaters. I liked the poppy seed bun but wanted more mustard. Only real flaw being it was not warm at all. It was a Postmates order, but even so I thought it'd be just a little warm. Potato salad & cole slaw were better than I'd thought. They appeared very "mayoey" but did did not come off that way. Cole slaw is little on the sweeter side but seasoned well. Potato salad is much lighter seasoned & has a pretty chunky relish mixed in giving it a crunch. I usually get a burger here as well as the nachos, but I'd definitely get this meal again as well. read more

Friend recommend this place and I went with my wife today and what a HOT mess!!!!!! Place is extremely hot with clearly AC issues and multiple leks coming from the ceiling while the food was lacking freshness. The staff was extremely polite and just seemed like they have been working overtime with lack of help. The sandwich was pretty good, but because of the avocado and chipotle sauce, the chicken kept slipping out of the bun. Next time, I'll definitely try a bowl instead (bulgogi). A friend and I ordered and split the Santa Fe chicken sandwich ($10.95) and the Nashville hot chicken ($11.25). The Santa Fe seems to be their most popular one and I liked both but would probably prefer the Nashville hot chicken a bit more because I think it has more flavor. I'm a carnivore through and through but sometimes I like to venture out. It's not like real chicken but it's still good. There's a private lot but it's always packed as it shares the lot with a lot of other restaurants. Ordered here yesterday, I find it interesting the receipt on the to go order has checked marks to confirm each item is in the bag but some items were missing. ?!?!?!? Unfortunately I was in a hurry to get to my online class, that I did not check the order. Once I got home, I noticed that there was a mistake and I had just received sweet potato fries. Since I had already stressed ate all day because of the election, I really needed to eat some type of food other than snacks and fries, I went back to fix the order. Seriously one of my favorite vegan places ever. I know it's scary for millennials to admit that a commercial chain restaurant can be one of their faves, but THIS PLACE IS GOLD. My favorite dish here is by far the Quinoa Power Bowl with Blackened Tempeh. I love knowing how many calories I'm eating, and feeling great about them. The tempeh is crisp on the outside and tender on the inside. Each bite of the salad itself feels like I'm becoming more and more Snow White. And although the portions look huge, it makes for a heart satisfying meal. You can probably make 2 meals out of some of the bowls, but most only look sizeable because veggies take up a lot of space. One dish I wasn't that huge of a fan of was the Adobo Chicken Bowl. The sauce wasn't as sweet as I thought. It bordered on the sour side. I wasn't crazy about the sides that came with it either. And as a person who usually LOVES soy chicken, I wasn't a huge fan of this one either. I'd skip this dish and go straight for the Summer Celebration Salad if you're looking at getting something seasonal. I'm definitely coming back. Again and again and again. read more
