Vegos is one of the best plant-based joints in town. The food is consistently delicious and the owners are sweet as pie. If I had the money, I'd hire them to keep my freezer full of tamales. Went to Vegos a couple days ago. I ordered their green enchiladas. I thought they were good. Considering they came smothered in green chile sauce!! Very good!! Make sure to check there website for days and locations. Yelp is not correct. Passing through town for my first time and stopped by to grab something from Vegos. Unfortunately for me I don't eat tofu and that's all they were serving in their dishes for Sat. Which sounded super yummy just not for me. The atmosphere was so fun. Super friendly sweet guest in the area. Customer service was so super friendly sweet and pleasant! Clean and peaceful place to enjoy a yummy vegan meal with loved ones or solo. Even though I didn't eat there after all they were kind enough to suggest another local spot that I may enjoy. I hope to catch them on a jackfruit day in the future and look forward to that day. Mexican vegan is one of my favorites living in San Diego. Highly recommend this place if you are considering, you get much more than just food. A very lovely experience. When they change their times, they don't tell you they don't have have a menu day-long. I love the enchiladas, but it's not part of the "lunch menu." Wish they had more gluten-free options but I've been craving the enchiladas, they're so good! Everything is certified vegan, not everything is certified gluten-free but they do have gluten-free options. So devastated I can't get the enchiladas sooner! read more

Vegos is a great spot for Vegans and non-vegans alike!! Ordered the "Chicken" Sandwich and the Nachos - both were super tasty!! I particularly loved that sauce on the sandwich- it's really a must try. It's a food truck so look online for it's location of the day - it's a great excuse to hit some local breweries too! Awesome surprise! I ordered the burrito (massive) and a tamale. The burrito's meat was tofu. Lots of fresh greens. The tamale was red chile and jackfruit. Fantastic flavor. Absolutely amazing. We were passing through Albuquerque on our way out west and had missed lunch. This place is excellent! We ordered the chips and salsa, chili relleno with rice and beans along with the seitan burrito and would order all of them again. This place almost makes me want to move here! Road trip visit here was disappointing on Sept. 15th, 2023. Small portions for the price. PLASTIC forks & spoons so small it was a challenge to get the food from the plastic container to your mouth. All plastic served to you inside the strip mall eatery. Front windows were greasy enough to write a message on on the glass. Not a good value. Would not recommend. read more

the food was delicious! i had the tostaritto, which is like a crunchwrap but 100x more flavorful. the service was great. the soda fountain wasn't properly calibrated, so we let them know. none of the drinks were tasting right. i only wish i could have tried more menu items! read more

Vegos was great. I'm an omnivore married to a vegan, and spouse was excited to try it. I was not disappointed in the least. Great food, with enough depth and complexity to delight my palate. They had interesting variations that we hadn't seen (e.g. sopapilla) which was a treat. Our first visit was just after a rush, so we got a chance to visit with the owners and staff. Our conversation with them (real people, doing something they obviously love) was an unexpected bonus. We went back to close out our week-long visit to NM. When going began it is a common misconception that somehow you are going to miss out on something, whether it be some sort of nutrition or flavor. I was one of those people, and for a long time, I felt there was something lacking. One of my and my family's favorite types of food in New Mexico cuisine. Everywhere you go in New Mexico there are restaurants are staring us down, but every single one of them has some animal product in their food. For me my family we were missing out on something., that good old-fashioned New Mexico flair for food. Well, that was until we discovered Vegos. It started out as a food truck, but the recently opened a location in a brick-and-mortar building. After discovering this we decided to stop by, and ill will tell you this we were not disappointed. They have smaller burritos that are smaller, and they are perfect for the food critic that is my 8-year-old, the cheesy bean, and rice burritos, or the cheesy bean potato burritos are her favorites. My wife really loves the back to Cali, and I cannot blame her. A food baby burrito loaded with French fries, vegan cheese, green chili, and seasoned soy curls is what's not to love. My personal favorite is the loaded fries. Fries with queso, beans, chili, and soy curls are heaven in both sight and taste. Everything we eat here is a very positive experience and I cannot speak highly enough about this restaurant. read more

The best food truck and vegan food in town IMO, although wanderlust is a close second. I am absolutely obsessed with their sweet potato dishes, especially the burritos that are STUFFED. The owners have always been super nice and it's nice to see how they've grown, starting out at the railyards. Another thing - they're on point with their spice level.
