We found that Fazzio's has an old school casual elegance, is home to many traditional Italian favorites, has an excellent wine and cocktail selection, and features a warm ambiance and welcoming service. Tonight, Amanda took very good care of us. We enjoyed mixed green and Caesar salads followed by chicken piccata and chicken Marsala entrees. Both entrees were savory and delicious and portion sizes were generous. I think the Marsala was especially good and it overflowed with the mushrooms I love so much. I recently moved to the Slidell area in April and ate there almost daily for the first two months. They have specials every day along with a few dozen choices for plate lunches, sandwiches, salads, soup, and appetizers. The breakfast menu is also very extensive. Your coffee order is supplemented with a carafe for refills. Try to save room for dessert or bring some home. Most of their pastries, biscuits and beignets are handmade. They make marvelous pancakes and French toast. The cheesecake is not made by them; but eat it anyway. It's delicious.
