I'd like to start off by laughing at the only good reviews being painfully obviously written by employees. Two words: horrible service. The sales person I dealt with was quick to attend to me as I walked in. That's where anything pleasant ended. He seemed put out that he had to help me or to answer any questions I had after I wasn't interested in Verizons new empty every pocket edge plan (Must be big employee incentives for that plan). Can I afford it? Yes. Do I like being fast talked and lied to by someone with a bad attitude? No! The sales people seem cocky like they are above customer service because I need their product more than they need me. Verizon used to be worth the premium because of their coverage, but it doesn't seem like they are far ahead of the competition anymore. My friend has ghetro and his phone works in places mine doesn't. Ghetros phones suck so that option is out. However, I'm not seeing value in Verizon anymore. Bottom line I'm exploring other options. AT&T's billing and customer service are excellent but their coverage is lacking. Wish someone had it all. read more

Had to have my phone checked today for the usual buzzing - vibrating etc, unfortunately I have been at this location several times. However, there is an thin Asian Girl (didn't catch her name) who is so-so unhelpful. She has assisted me in the past and she is basically useless! I can not express enough how annoying it is to talk to a clerk and have them not pay attention and look around all the time. Instead of giving you their undivided attention. She simply stated to me to download an app...when I asked her if there was alternative, her answer was "no". Now in the past I have had people make an effort to see what's wrong or fix the problem -- this gal just wants to get of you. I cannot say for sure but her pitch was also to upgrade my phone - when I asked her if this would increase my bill (which is already a lot) she simply stated of course. Something wrong with this business model that I am not done paying my phone but to upgrade my bill increases in price. Does my bill go down after I pay for my phone??? I have yet to see that happen. Hummm maybe t-mobile is the way to go???? All in all I am telling my friends, family etc. to stay clear of this girl at Verizon. From now on when I go back to this location I will request to not have her assist me!!! read more

This place is full of classless employees that have zero customer service and have zero knowledge about cell phones. They need to start over. Fire everyone in there and hire real customer oriented employees with some in depth training. Everyone in there acts like they have nothing to lose by being rude and sarcastic. I'll never go back to this store. Took my sister in law to upgrade her phone line, walked in at 5:40pm, greeted immediately (hence the 1st star given) and got straight to the point with the sales rep who didn't introduce themselves. Apparently after 3 minutes of accessing the account and figuring out we wanted to upgrade a line, the safe for the phones was already locked which gave me an impression the store didn't want to sell anything. Aside from having to wait for them to open it, we figured out the outdoor price of the phone and switched our insurance plan. After waiting a couple minutes the rep finally asks how we are going to pay. We said cash and he freaked out, threatened that if we didn't have a credit card by the time the safe was open he was not going to help us. I called my fiance to bring a credit card since we live 10 minutes out. After showing us the phone and knowing my fiance was on the way, we just kept getting hounded for his eta to the point where my fiance was 4 minutes out and the rep said if he's not here in 5 minutes you guys have to go. At this time it was 6:15pm, Google showed they closed at 7pm which is why we went at 5:40pm, and honestly we just felt like we were committing a crime. The second star is for them completing the sale even with an annoyed look the entire time. I always thought corporate would treat people better than the authorized retailers but nope, I'd rather spend the extra $2 on the retail price of a thousand dollar phone to stay longer and feel comfortable upgrading a line. Plus the retailers have so much better accessories and more options. This location literally has nothing going for them except that, the location lol. read more

Verizon itself isn't the cheapest, but I have always had better luck with their coverage, so I stay with them. Onto this particular business: When I entered I was promptly greeted and within 10 minutes I had a guy named Travis helping me. He was ridiculously helpful. I was switching from my dad's plan over to my girlfriend's and wanted to go over the numbers because it would be pointless for me to switch from one plan to the next if it didn't save anyone money. After I had him recalculate the numbers like 10 times (price with insurance, without, if I got a new phone, etc...) I finally decided. He never looked annoyed and I never felt rushed. In the long run I ended up saving my girlfriend $40/month by switching over to her plan. He also quickly found the culprit for why my girlfriend had a tendency to go over her monthly data allowance. This store has been the best, making sure all my needs for my family and our cell phone plans are met. Thank you! I bought a new iPhone yesterday. Although the original salesman was good, the service I received 2 hours later from the Verizon doorman greeter was absolutely terrible!!! The problem was very simple. My phone kept making the screen go off every minute when I wasn't typing. I couldn't locate the correct area where I could lengthen that time. The doorman greeter could have showed me right button to push. Instead he said I was 4th in line, or make an appointment, but no appointments were available that day. I left & I went to Best Buy for another item. The salesman (not Apple ) offered & fixed the delay immediately. I am Sorry I bought the iPhone through your Version Galleria Blvd store. The place is nice looking. It is clearly trying to be like an Apple store, but instead of a genius bar, the guy we got was definitely moron bar. This guy was creepy, and did not know what he was talking about. He was either a very anxious person, had consumed WAY too much coffee, or was using something. He gave us tons of wrong information, and messed up some things in the order that had to be fixed afterward. This guy really should not be working here. I can only hope that he is an exception and not the norm. Either way, the management is clearly not doing their job, having this guy assaulting customers. This store deserves no stars! I was completely lied to by Morgan and spent more money than I had to AND I STILL HAVE NO PHONE!! DUE TO HIS LIES!! Then to top it off you cant talk to a manager at the store and Verizon wasnt allowed to talk to a manager either when customer service tried to contact them! I have been on the phone for FIVE HOURS trying to fix the lies and mess he made. Save yourself the hastle and only call verizon, they are awesome on the phone and know their stuff. They are reversing most of the damage but they cant refund me the $80 I paid, to pay off a phone on my account, that I didnt even need to pay off for my upgrade. This store is clean and the staff is friendly. However, if you are looking to buy accessories, shop elsewhere. The "bundles" that are offered appear to be opportunities to push product that offer kickbacks to the salesperson. Purchasing a "bundle" such as a wireless charger, a phone case, and a screen protector, does not mean that you are getting any discount on any of the products whatsoever. read more

There were some people that were really helpful that worked there in the past. Customer service has suffered because the past few times the customer service was not that great even at other stores. As an example I visited the store a couple of days ago because I had forgotten both of my chargers at home. So I asked if I could charge my phone. The guy asked me in a rude sort of way," is that all that you want?" I said, " yes." He responded, " the chargers are against the wall." I'm looking and dont see them. Well by the time he is actually selling to someone and walk over the the area where I was. I responded , " I dont see them." He finally pointed to the charging station which was not against the wall to begin with. It would have been professional to walk a paying customer over to the charging station. I had a problem with the display and function of my phone, I took it in sales rep. told me you have to get it replaced through Asurion the insurance I had for the phone. when I called Asurion they told me they don't cover this problem I been paying for the insurance for almost 10 years, when this store sold me this phone I was going to cancel the insurance. I heard it wasn't worth the money and I should stop, the sales person said with the smart phones you'll want the insurance in case it malfunctions or have any problem with it,it will taken care of. scene I had this phone (about 2 years) I could have saved enough to buy the newest model out there. I bought a phone that was defective. They hassled me and charged a $50 restocking fee to return a phone that they acknowledged was defective right out of the box. I called Verizon corporate and they wouldn't help either. I also got charged an activation fee in store and was told it would be waived if I called the corporate number. Corporate was irritated and only offered to waive one of the activation fees. I've only been with Verizon for a couple of weeks and I'm already extremely unhappy with them and their offerings. Avoid this store, and Verizon as a company, if you want to avoid major inconvenience and paying for things that are unusable! read more

How cutthroat can Verizon get? Let me count the ways. And please forward to whomever you think appropriate. Everyone needs to know what a shark in the waters Verizon is concerning their sales practices. A year and a half ago I purchased a Kyocera DuraXV Pro phone from Verizon and the contract to go with it. The contract is for two years after which I would only be paying for my unlimited calling plan, and not for the phone (as it would by then be paid off). The phone is a very rugged military spec phone resistant to shock, extreme temps, toxic gases, etc. etc. and can be submerged 6 feet of water for up to 30 minutes. Reviews suggest it should easily last 5 years or more. Although the lithium battery still holds a charge for several days, I decided I wanted a backup. The battery only carries a one year warranty. So I went into Verizon and asked for a 2nd battery. They said they didn't have them in stock and to try Batteries and Bulbs. I did and BandB said they no longer carry the battery. My suspicion is that Verizon does not want anyone else selling the battery (just a quick note here - each cell phone has it's own specific battery). So I went back to Verizon. They told me that Kyocera no longer supplies that battery. It should be pointed out here that Verizon is STILL SELLING the phone. You sign a two year contract but the battery is only warrantied for one. Well, let's just say that at this point, I got a little steamed. Ok, not a little steamed, a lot steamed. It's their main store in the region and is very large. People were turning around to watch the entertainment. The manager told me that Verizon has no say or control over production of the batteries. I informed him that this was a case of engineered obsolescence. I asked him how old he was. He said he was 33. I said "Then you're old enough to know better". We continued for several more minutes with him maintaining that there is no communication between Verizon and Kyocera regarding product development or support. Yeah, RIGHT!!! So I went home and called Kyocera. I told them I wanted a replacement battery for my phone. They took my order, charged my card, and the battery is on it's way. Bottom line, Verizon lied because they want me to buy a new phone when the battery dies. My suspicion concerning the selling of a phone that no longer had a battery in production was confirmed. Now if that isn't bad enough, the next item will prove what a shark in the water Verizon is and I'm sure will continue to be for as long as the public can be duped. When I purchased the phone they told me about a special on their tablet and suggested I try it. Even offered a discounted data plan. I agreed to try it, but unfortunately had to sign the "necessary papers", plan, purchase etc. I brought it back several days later (having never taken it out of the box) and said I didn't want it. They asked me to please at least try it, ("you can always bring it back if you decide you don't like it). So I left, and then came back later (box still unopened). They then informed me that I was past the two weeks (by two days). I repeated what they'd said before, "bring it back anytime", and they said yes, anytime within the two weeks. And here's the kicker, they not only had me committed to the purchase of the tablet, they also had me committed to the data plan, and wouldn't even let me out of that. If that's not the definition of shark, I don't know what is. I've been to civil court 3 times and small claims court 4 times. Never lost. But when they have you they have you. Do with this information as you will. read more

Switched from MetroPCS to Verizon one month ago. The Data service isn't that much better and the OtterBox defender case that I bought for it ripped within 30 days. When I went back into Verizon to see if there was anything they can do they said it wasn't their problem. These people just want your money. The lower price was tempting, I bought the insurance and surprise, surprise I dropped my phone and the glass shattered (it was in a protective case) I went into the store to to file a claim and was advised it would cost me a $180.00 not the $50.00 I was told initially. Since cost was so high I decided to check the apple store, only to find out they have their own insurance and had I bought that it would have cost me a whopping 49.00 to have my phone replaced... I went into this store to upgrade my phone. The sales man was nice and said that if we added a dummy line we would pay $10 less a month and I could get the iPhone I wanted. I did just that and when I came back from the Apple store they sent me to (because they didn't have them in stock and the shipment wasn't due for days according to them) I was just supposed to get my phone connected and it was going to be an in and out process. This VERY RUDE girl refused to help me as my sales man was on another line and then when they asked her to help me she said "I don't want to" and groaned very loudly and publicly which I found annoying as hell especially being 8months pregnant and honestly not in the mood. Finally, someone helped me apologizing for her additude. At which point I purchased an Otterbox which once opened in the car I noticed was MELTED! I immediately took it back in and the same RUDE GIRL was telling me she wouldnt exchange it since I walked out when I purchased it and she couldnt verify I didnt do it. BBC! I was pissed once again someone else helped me and exchanged it. Two weeks later my cell phone bill that was supposed to be $10 cheaper was $100 more than usual because they added a DATA PLAN to my "DUMMY LINE" seriously!? Went back to get fixed luckily the guy who initially helped me remembered me and fixed it which is the only reason I give them two stars. I went here to transfer my name onto the family plan and was helped by a man named "Ben." His expertise and amiability was incredible. For starters, he asked me how my day was going and we talked about general things pertaining to life and then he wanted to know how to help me with my phone. Not only did he transfer my name onto the plan so I'm the primary holder but he went above and beyond so as to fix me up with a particular plan (and walk me through which each one meant) and then show me what I did and didn't need (which was nice that he wasn't trying to up sale everything and rip me off). I was very satisfied in my experience here. Ben didn't give me the "go around" but fixed my problem. This has, by far, been my best experience with Verizon. So...if you go to this store ask for Ben, he's a big tall guy. I'm sure everyone's ok enough though, either way. : :) read more

We waited for 20 minutes while the manager and employees ignored and avoided us before a sales rep gave us sim cards but wouldn't attach them to our account. I still think it would be a good idea for leaving 0 stars as an option. I went into this store yesterday on my lunch break hoping to get my phone fixed, I waited my entire lunch break with nothing being done. With my phone still not working at all, I left work yesterday and went back to the store. At this point my phone was telling me I had zero storage left on my phone and therefore I was not allowed to do anything. I was told I needed to do the most recent update. I did... it didn't help anything it only made my phone worse. I checked in at 3:50pm about half way through my wait, the guy checking in people came and talked to me, as he could tell I was annoyed for waiting so long, while people that worked there stood around in groups of 5 or more talking... not helping the 15 people in line. He asked me what was going on, I told him what the deal was with my phone, and he said that I would have to wait until one of the other guys could look further into that matter, and that I know only had 2 people in front of me in line. 1 hour later it was finally my turn. I talked with the guy for a whopping 5 minutes, while he told me that "I had no more storage" No shit... really? I could of told you that. What I need you to do is look at my phone and figure out why, when I have nothing on my phone it is using 11.5gb. He told me I would have to talk to someone at Apple. I don't understand what the point of buying the phone through Verizon is, if they can't help you with anything and just send you somewhere else. I wait 2 hours for a conversation that was pointless and lasted 5 minutes. They could care less about Customer Service, and how long people wait. I will never return to this store. And am considering switching my coverage to any other company other than Verizon! read more

Went in today with my mom to finally usher her into the world of smartphones. We were ready to drop some money and walk out with a phone. After waiting 30 mins to get through the line of people- usually a good sign- we were greeted by Lou, a salesperson. I explained that my mom has a 12-year-old phone, wants to get a new one, but doesn't know which she wants. You would think to hear some, I don't know, opinions, or questions. But no, his response was "well, keep looking and get me when you find what you want." So we do. I went online on my phone (ironically, bad 4G coverage here) and manually researched each of their offers. We found the one she wanted, but Lou was chatting with another employee in the corner and told us to wait. Ten minutes go by. I am approached by another employee- "What can we do for you?" I explain. She tells us that she'll put us back on the list, can we come back in 45 minutes or so? No. No we cannot. This store sucks. read more

Got a new phone, they did nothing to set it up, duplicated 600 contacts, when I called to speak to a manager got Chris on the phone, when I asked for him to allow me to finish my sentence and stop talking over me, he threatened to terminate the call due to vulgarity... ALL I ASKED WAS TO BE ALLOWED TO FINISH MY QUESTION! I asked for a manager, Jamie the manager never called me back as Chris stated she would be 7pm. I HAVE A PROBLEM WITH RUDE PEOPLE AND POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE! Not worth the $$$. Contacted the Douglas store, they apologized for the poor service of Galleria and offered to set up my phone and correct their errors. read more

After waiting for 45 minutes to be helped and nobody assisting me, I left the store and went across the street to Galleria Mall. The kiosks in there were very helpful and quick to answer my questions and set me up with new phones. They also offered better pricing than what I saw at the store. Stay away from here and go to the mall stores... you will get better service and a better deal! read more

Fantastic customer service! Abdul was very nice and a great start to my experience. I went in for some charger issues with my phone, and Morgan helped me out. He made everything quick and painless. I left with a new charger that works perfectly for my phone, for free! There was a 30 minute wait, but it was totally worth it, because as soon as I was helped, they got me in and out. I went into Verizon the other day about my phone having some minor problems and to discuss possibly getting on a better family plan. I was paired with Alek and let me tell you this guy was impressive! He immediately fixed my phone and we got to talking about getting on a better family plan. Alek was extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and patient with me the entire time I was in there. He went over all of my options in detail and what the best route would be. After deciding on what plan to go with I couldn't been happier. That day I got my phone fixed for free and came out of Verizon with a better, cheaper plan! You're the man Alek!!! read more

She was so rude and gave us attitude about accessing our business account. When we asked to speak to the manager she got an attitude and walked away saying nonsense under her breath. Had an absolutely wonderful experience at Verizon Wireless just a few weeks ago when I transitioned 3 lines from Sprint over to Verizon. We originally were with Verizon about a year ago, but left when they changed their pricing plans and forced me out of my grandfathered unlimited data plan - and went to Sprint who gave us unlimited data, for the same price. Well we soon learned why we should not have left - Sprint has very limited to spotty service, but whatever. Regardless, we walked into Verizon on a very busy Saturday - the day after the release of the iPhone 6's. I had called before I came in and had discussed my situation with the manager, who advised to come on in and I would not have to wait. Luckily, he had Greg Chassey help us - and we were provided with EXCELLENT 5 STAR + SERVICE :) Greg was extremely attentive and helpful - him and the manager even agreed to overnight one of the our 3 new iPhones to my sister in Miami so we could get everything set up. Greg spent nearly 2 hours with us in store, porting over our phone numbers, setting up our new phones - he was personable and friendly and went over our new plan options (Verizon Edge) in detail. It actually paid off for us to switch over, and even though over 20 months we have to pay for the full price of the phones - we are not in a contract, and our monthly plan rate is MUCH less than we were paying. So other than paying out of pocket for our accessories - i paid NOTHING else when I walked out of the store. My monthly bill is in the $230-$240 range - which includes the price of 3 full priced 64GB and 128GB iPhones - over 20 months - wherein with Sprint, I paid nearly $750 out of pocket for 3 smartphones, plus a monthly fee of $200 a month. Umm - i think this is much more worth it and I can upgrade my phone basically whenever I want! As happy as we are with great service/coverage wherever we are - and how we were treated in store - Greg even took one extra step to allow my sister to call him from Miami once she received her iPhone and he virtually ported her number over too and got her fully set up. :) Thanks Greg! He had a wonderful demeanor, was very customer focused and oriented, and provided great service! It made coming back to Verizon a wonderful experience and we are more than happy we did it! :) read more
