We had errands to run last Monday out at Westfork Plaza when we saw Vicky Bakery from a distance and knew that we had to stop by here. We were not disappointed. It's a cute little bakery with darling red tables and chairs in their dining area. It smells so good as you enter the store. We were greeted warmly by the staff upon entry. The displays are right there and everything looked so good that it was hard to choose. I wanted my favorites, guava pastelitos and guava & cheese pastelitos. My daughter wanted to try the Cuban chocolate chip cookie. We didn't have time to sit down and eat schedule wise so we did take out. I would've loved a cafecito right then and there. Parking is free right outside the front in the malls parking lot. It is wheelchair accessible.

Tucked away in the corner of the plaza, so if you can't find it... look in the corner. I am an original Vicky bakery fan from the 1974 Hialeah first. I was happy to find this one up closer to where I live now. The place was busy, the service is quick. My cafe con leche wasn't very hot. The dining area definitely needed to be tidied up to keep up with the Vicky bakery's I know. I have frequented of course Hialeah, Miami Lakes, Cooper City, Davie, Hollywood and all of those have been clean. So if you own this one, plan on having a team member keep the dining area clean on a regular basis. Vicky prides itself on cleanliness. If you want to have finger foods for a work meeting or something social, check out the trays you can purchase. They are economical and go a long way. Enjoy!

I came specifically to try their rum cake, before Christmas had finished. I had read about it, being based on the old Cuban receipt. It was far, far too sweet for me, but I am glad I sampled it.

I grew up going to the Vicky bakery in east Hialeah so I'm always hesitant to try One that isn't in Hialeah lol but this location did not disappoint. It was the usual Sunday chaos, but you get this at any location, and frankly at any well known coffee/ bake shop. It's your typical Cuban bakery with loud talking and lots of laugh. You will find lots of people ordering out or sitting down with their family. I went with my non-Spanish speaking boyfriend and when the lady attending us answered him in English he was so impressed lol This has never happened at the one in Hialeah lol. The ladies and gentleman that work at Vicky's on a Sunday are troopers because they Handle the chaos and pressure so well. Croqueta de Jamon and pastelito is a must when we come here. I will say that the croqueta de Jamon is a consistent flavor with the original location in Hialeah. It's so good. I can never just have one. The pastelito de guayaba is my favorite and it always hits the spot just like the cafe con leche. This place is a Cuban staple everyone must try.

Croquetas

Huge fan of Vicky Bakery and all of the delicious Cuban pastries! This location is tucked in the Publix plaza and we placed an order of mixed things - from guava and cheese pastelitos to croquetas and pan de bono. The guava and cheese pastelitos were delish! Were they as delicious as they used to be or other locations? Maaaaaaaybe not fully. I will say, same goes for the pan de bono - which wasn't fluffy and more on the dryer side. I didn't try the regular croquetas but we did hear these too weren't as good as they used to be. The tequeños too were a big disappointment. Overall, maybe it's this location that has gone slightly downhill, either way, we got our Cuban pastelito fix that we wanted. The colada was also delicious, just wish it had the little cremita on top. I'd for sure stick to the guava and cheese only for next time :)

COLADA WITH RICE PUDDING

One of Vicky Bakery's in Pembroke Pines which is situated in a busy Plaza behind the Costco. The inside has limited table seating including a thin counter with bar stools, but the outside patio allows several more tables surrounded by romantic foliage. The cashier alerted me to sampling of rice pudding which was crazy sweet and thick. The colada was made perfectly and was the right complement to the rice pudding which the wife did not enjoy so I had two helpings lol. The bathroom was clean with beautiful multi colored tiled flooring.

I always enjoy my breakfasts at Vicky's. The pastelitos and empanadas are absolutely delicious, as well as all their different pastries. Everything is always fresh and full of flavor. The cafe con leche is very good and strong, hot and fresh. The prices are reasonable and affordable. The bakery is clean, the staff is attentive and friendly. That is why they are my to go for breakfast, pastries and coffee.

Fries

Service was good breakfast not including the fries and having to pay additional is wild when any other Vicky bakery includes fries in the breakfasts. Tab was 30 bucks for 2 breakfasts, and the fries being 3 bucks was beyond me

Walked in at 8am and the place was amazing! A well oiled machine. Employees were on point. Everyone looked sharp and the pastries, OMG. GREAT WAY TO START THE DAY!!!

CORTADITO

My friend and I had a delicious take-home breakfast from Vicky Bakery! When you enter the bakery, there are long display cases full of cakes, pastries, cookies, and baked goods. We headed to the back counter to select our pastries. There was a short line but it moved pretty fast! We placed our to-go order which consisted of cheese, ham, and chicken croquetas; cheese taquenos; guava and cheese pastries; and cortaditos. I will say..the space is a bit cramped with tables and there wasn't a great spot to stand in line or to wait for our order. Our total came to just under $40 which was a little pricey. Everything was delicious though! My favorite was the guava and cheese pastries - they were perfectly fluffy, sweet, and stuffed with melty cream cheese. My cortadito gave me a much needed caffeine boost and tasted amazing! I'm sure I'll be back when I visit again!

I came here very quickly and this place tends to get packed all the time but they have really good backed goods I enjoyed a guava pastry which was fresh and not to sweet but definitely delicious it was fun to see their entire staff was dressed up for the holiday of Halloween and they were very friendly.

Raw tequeno every time
Naomi G.

Raw tequenos and sub par coffee. I've tried this place a couple times now and this location cannot seem to get it right. Disappointing that your coffee is watered down and you can't eat the raw tequeno . Other nearby places are more consistent than this.

Cuban Sandwich/ Sandwich Cubano

So I needed to find a dog friendly place in a pinch. The tire place around the corner was making me wait 2 hours but I couldn't bring the dog. But I digress. I was hungry and couldn't wait so I popped into Vicky's. To my surprise they had sandwiches. I've been here before and love their sweets but I was craving something a bit more savory. Honestly I didn't expect much when it came to the sandwiches as I knew they specialized in baked goods, but OH MY, I was blown away. The bread was super fresh, maybe they bake it themselves, I didn't ask but it would make sense right? I'm just going to pretend in my mind they do bake their own Cuban bread. It was huge, with tons of meat. Spare no expense in quality. I was stuffed when I finished it! A little messy with all the cheese and condiments, but that should be standard for a great Cuban. My dog was greeted with warmth and smiles. I was prepared to buy dog treats if they had them but they offered them for free. Overall great food and experience here.

Which is TO DIE FOR. I love sourdough bread and i swear i can eat this bread alone by itself and CAREFUL. May or may not eat the whole loaf myself. The cappuccino and lattes are also very good. Ive only had hot drinks here but i di think soon i will be trying their iced latte. As for the deserts i trying this chocolate covered croissant that was so good. Theres so many yummy baked goods i have yet to try but trust me when i say soon i will. The the staff is so sweet and helping. Always with such a smile on their faces. The bakery is beautifully decorated and recently opened a eatery next to it that id love to try as well. My favorite part is that's its woman owned. Who doesn't love that?

Well... there's certainly things to get and not get here…read more I went in for the first time ever and tried their guava and cheese croissant and their matcha. The croissant was great!! Flaky and hard outside with a soft inside. Would get again. Their matcha might as well been a cup of milk with green food coloring. Literally awful and tasted like nothing. It was PACKED and stuffy in there but the staff were all working really fast and got the orders out quickly. There's also barely any seating in there so don't plan to eat inside. Even for the seating that there was, you'd be surrounded by the people waiting in line. I would maybe come back for another croissant but definitely not for the drinks.

Got the spinach and cheese quiche with came some fresh fruits. Absolutely delicious! The spinach and cheese which was amazing. It was soft and layered well. You could taste both the spinach and cheese. The fruits were also delicious! I also got the cracking chocolate matcha latte. Cute experience! I think it would've been nice if it melted in the cup as well, but it just cracks and then you have to pick out the chocolate pieces from the cup if you want to eat it, else it kinda just sits there as full size chocolate pieces. The chocolate itself was also very mid. Not something I'd even buy in a grocery store. Wouldn't say the crackling chocolate cup is worth it other than for an instagram picture, but the food is amazing.

I've seen Buddies Bakery pop up on my feed so many times, but never actually knew where it was…read more.. until I randomly ended up in the same plaza one day (perfect timing because I was definitely in the mood for coffee ). First impression? Super cute, clean, and inviting. The staff was warm and welcoming right away, which always makes a difference. I ordered a pistachio latte--SO good. Smooth, flavorful, and not overly sweet. Then I grabbed a chocolate croissant and an almond croissant... and let me tell you, these are not your average croissants. They're HUGE, flaky, buttery, and you can taste every single layer. If I had to choose, the almond croissant stole the show for me. 10/10. When I mentioned it was my first time, they sweetly gifted me an alfajor, which was such a nice touch and definitely earned extra points in my book. I also tried the banana bread, and this is the only area where it fell a little short for me--it needed a bit more flavor and moisture. Not terrible, just not on the same level as everything else. Overall, I'd absolutely come back, especially for the coffee and croissants. If you're in the area and craving something buttery and delicious, this spot is worth the stop.
