Yo...Victor's is where it's at! Came for raw bar happy hour and left oh so full and pleased!! Drinks are expensive but delightful- the pear martini and mojito were slammin! We had an array of raw bar items and seriously, you gotta look at the size of the shrimp in my pics. Those bad boys were jumbo AFFFFF!! And a dolla dolla bill a piece ya'll! Raw clams and oysters also $1 each during happy hour. The lobster gazpacho shots were not my thang so I would skip that next time. Otherwise though everything was faaaaabulous, great service and food came out very fast. Lovely other patrons eating around us and parking wasn't terrible. We went recently and really liked the intimate vibe, with the lights low, lights on the tables, and white minimal decor. There was parking across the street, have to pay with an app though. We saw lots of friend groups there, but think it's perfect for s romantic dinner. We started the night with drinks and took the wonder waiter's suggestion and ordered the hibiscus martini, very good, his favorite. It had a flower in it even! We had vegetarian tapas (I recommend ordering around 5 for 2 people) the artichoke and stuffed mushrooms were our absolute favorite. The mushroom empanadas (with 2 dips), Brussel sprouts and yucca were good too, but liked the other two better. The portions could be a touch bigger. We got dessert and ordered the strawberry rhubarb fruit cobbler with ice cream. It was served hot and man it was good. I thought it was perfect for sharing. One of the better fruit desserts I've had in a long time. I highly recommend! Great service, tapas is always fun and a nice dark romantic vibe at night. read more

I love the cozy location, outdoor seating and friendly/cool staff here, and it's deservedly a Ptown staple. The food is overall very good, a creative and varied menu, but there were some misses. My favorites were the artichoke hearts, mushroom empanadas, and deconstructed napoleon tuna tartare.. the only thing I didn't like were the beignets. They just weren't beignets, and just tasted like fried hunks of dough. Not to be a calorie queen, but they weren't worth the calories! Needless to say, we'll be back and I wouldn't not recommend this place to anyone! read more

Still 2 stars...for lame service. We returned this year for cocktails only, and sat at the bar on a busy Sunday night. The bartender who took our order was the least friendly, least engaging bartender ever. He didn't even know how to make a whiskey sour (with Basil Hayden), he had to ask his buddy bartender. But the service was nothing at the bar as the bartenders were nothing but cocktail making machines for the whole restaurant. But, I did like my blood orange martini. We tried. The service and atmosphere were very nice. I didn't care for my drink and they refunded me even though it was really just me not loving it-nothing wrong with it. The oysters were excellent and very fresh. Otherwise the food was not very flavorful, all sort of bland. Calamari had an interesting texture, almost like cornmeal breading maybe. Not bad, just not great. Chicken empanadas were fine. The scallops a hair under done as was the bacon wrapping them. Fried yuca also just underwhelming. The strawberry rhubarb cobbler was warm and the vanilla ice cream on it was very good. It was fine, but I wouldn't go back. read more

I love tapas. These were pretty good. A few at our table felt the fish in the tacos was frozen fish and were not Hppy about it. I liked the things I had. I do however question, when there are four people at the table, why do you bring tapas such as coconut shrimp with only three on the platter? Are we suppose to take turns eating? read more

Wow, where do I begin? We walked through town knowing that our stop at 3pm would be here for Raw Happy Hour. Great food, great atmosphere, and affordable appetizers .... 99cent Oysters and Shrimp which look like lobster tails, so huge. The problem is, you order them like you order rounds of drinks... never knowing when to stop. Each food item we ordered for the table was delicious: Chicken Wings..... perfect balance between spiciness and crispy skin, blue cheese dressing was amazing. Get these! Calamari... best we've head to date on the East Coast, and trust me, we have been on a mission to try them everywhere. Served with tartar sauce and marinara... yum. We also highjacked the chipotle aioli from the crispy fries... now that is a combo worth trying. Ask for the sauce if you are not getting fries... delicious. Oysters.... salty, slippery, and oh so divine. Luckily no one at the table likes them except my husband and I, so we were in Heaven. Served with vinegar, horseradish, cocktail sauce... perfection. Shrimp Cocktail.... now these huge shrimp are fit for kings and queens... and we are in PTown after all.... so for queens and queens! Get them. Devour them, and then get more. We devoured them. Cocktails were delicious, beer was cold, and company was unsurpassed. Thanks to our waiter who couldn't stop giving shout outs to our daughter who turned 21 this week... Andrew was terrific. First visit to Victors. A bit out of the way on Bradford Extension, but has limited parking. Recommend reservations. Interesting small space with inside/ outside/ bar/ or high top seating. WaitService and table bussing was very attentive. Fun drink menu. Shared plate menu. Halibut tacos were delicious. We probably could have made better choices than we did on the other pedestrian items, wings & crab rangoon, which we realized as we watched food going to other tables. We arrived on time for a 7:30 reservation, but were told that the party at "our table" was going to be moved to make room for us, which seemed odd. We did not get seated until 40 minutes later. Once we were alerted to the possiblity of a wait, I asked the maitre'd if he could ask a server to take a drink order from us, which did not happen. I asked a second time, and no one appeared. When we finally were seated, the waiter did a nice job and the food was uniformly excellent. However, it would have been a nice gesture to be comped a free round of drinks (prosecco?) or an appetizer - although we were given a loaf of bread ($8) on the house. In short, due to the poor service, I will likely not return to Victor's. I have dined there before, so this was very disappointing. read more

Great experience! They honored our reservation for outdoor seating and were seated immediately. Our server, Steve, was friendly and helpful with menu suggestions. For two guys 5 small plates was perfect. Loved the variety of dishes, and that they spaced them out. Very nice! A little over crowded with so many tables and the staff has a long way to go but they are pleasant and the food quite tasty.

Among "townies" it's not a favorite spot due to local intrigue and drama, but one must be completely objective when writing reviews here. I've been a fan since the place opened many moons ago. It draws a great many tourists but its core customer are well-heeled second-homers. The place is aesthetically pleasing and the food is consistently excellent. It's always a good sign that staff have worked at a restaurant for years if not decades. It is the most urban place in Provincetown, and (back in the day) there were lots of drug rumors and other crazy stories about the ownership, but it's obviously a new era. My favorite thing is their....you know what I'm not going to tell you because it's busy enough...but suffice to say I have never, never, ever had a bad meal here. The "townie" attitude is overrated while one cannot rate this place higher. If there was a sixth star, I'd give it! read more

A part of me is hesitant to write a review about Victor's - not because I have negative stuff to say (because I don't) - but because I fear that the more attention that is drawn to this stellar eatery, the less of a hidden gem it will be. Located on Bradford Street off the main drag of Ptown, you'd be hard pressed to stumble across this place without prior knowledge of it. But if you happened to, you'd be in for a real treat. What makes Victor's stands out amongst many Provincetown restaurants is the selection of fresh seafood. The oysters on the half shell are a MUST, as are the sea scallops, sashimi, and anything with lobster (risotto, mac & cheese). Any menu item pairs great with the stellar selection of cocktails, arguably the best in town. My personal recommendation would be the Port of Manhattan, but you can't go wrong with the numerous martinis on offer. While the cottage-like decor is definitely charming, one downside to the restaurant is its small size. There simply isn't enough space to satisfy the demand, and you may feel cramped in the bar area or small dining room. The front patio with fire pit is inviting, but it can only comfortably fit one party at a time given the small space. Nevertheless, Victor's is as fantastic option for a meal away from the bustle of Commercial Street. read more

It's like I'm in the titanic and the ship is going down. Had an 8:30 reservation and they called us in early because apparently after we sat down they were out of pretty much all their dishes. Then we ordered and two of the dishes we orders, they were out of, and waiter came and told us we're were out of filet mignon. They should of said this is our closing night and we'll be running low of food. read more

What a dump! Biggest disappointment for our New Years dinner with my sweet lover. The food was terrible and cold, cold and terrible. I think they made a food run at Red Lobster to feed us that lobster swill thermadore or "therma-bore" The taste was tasteless and speaking of tasteless, the drag MC, Roxy (in her Heady) really dragged the night down. Terrible jokes, horrible singing, a hot mess. She added nothing but wasted space. The staff was shell shocked like we wouldn't need a fork to eat with. The look of surprise when I asked for it was priceless. When the clock struck midnight, Victor and the staff, I'm sure, thought we were all jumping and screaming for New Years but it was actually because this tragic dinner experience was over and we could Metamucil it out tomorrow. read more

We have been to Victors pre-pandemic and it was great then and even better now. It is tapas style and they did not miss a beat! We ordered the bacon wrapped dates and normally they are stuffed with cheese but these are stuffed with hazelnut and garlic. Simply delicious! The next plate was a chopped salad with olives and fried onion strings and a sage dressing. (We had a choice for a pomegranate dressing but our server said he preferred the sage) it was out of this world! Next up was chicken empanadas and they had two dipping sauces: one was spicy and the other was a black bean paste. I didn't care for the black bean paste but others might? The spicy sauce was spicy but not overwhelming and my partner and I asked for a side to go! Next was the crab and cream cheese Rangoons! OMG...so good with a side of soy sauce based dipping sauce---we could not get enough! The last item were the pork fried dumpling with a peanut sauce...not enough words... Our server was professional and kind. My partner ordered the house Cabernet and I had their white Cosmo and then a rye old fashioned both well balanced! If you haven't tried Victor's you have missed a great experience! Unlike other places in Provincetown that have pretentious employees that treat you like they are doing you a favor by gracing you with their presence or are snappy under stress... We came for the wonderful raw bar happy hour, and next time we will stay for dinner. The menu looked wonderful, and the ambiance was nice. There was a Japanese art exhibit, and the menu had a few Japanese offerrings. The raw bar is certainly a great deal, we had 12 delicious oysters, and 6 shrimp. We also got the fries, which are generous, and the best fries I have ever had. Our drinks, and our bartender were spot on. Wish we lived closer!! read more

First off, the service was great. I am thoroughly impressed by this restaurant. There is indoor and outdoor seating. Victor's feels slightly more upscale, but plenty of people were dressed casual. Plan to spend a little more on this meal. Food was tapas style and there wasn't anything on the menu I wouldn't order again. Drinks were also good and strong. We ordered the raw bar, coconut crusted shrimp, calimari, bread, Brussels sprouts, empanadas, crab Rangoon, mac&cheese, and a few others. I loved everything about this place in Provincetown. We came here early evening and there weren't too many people here which is nice. I can see this place get super busy later in the night. The place inside is beautiful and quaint. The staff were so friendly and took care of us without being overly attentive ( seriously the most annoying thing when that happens). When we were there, we could tell the staff and some of the locals were like family, they were sharing stories and asking questions like old friends, it was really sweet. I found myself daydreaming about living in Provincetown and having this be my local go to place. We had quite a few drinks, I can't remember all of them... oops. But I do remember this delicious blueberry cocktail that I loved. Also, oh my gosh! The seafood!!!!! Fantastic happy hour menu with oysters (approx $1), shrimp (approx $1), and other options. The chips and french fries looked delicious. Excellent cocktails - the martinis looked phenomenal and the Aperol spritz was perfect. Really nice ambiance - the inside is very chic and the outside patio is lined with gorgeous hydrangeas. As a plus, everyone here was very glamorous. Highly recommend for an afternoon pick-me-up in Provincetown. It was a great way to take a break from the crowds, sip a cold drink, and snack on healthy apps like oysters and shrimp that wouldn't disrupt our appetites for dinner reservations later that night. read more

One of our Provincetown favorites!!! A fantastic spot for delicious cocktails and tapas. My wife and I had the coconut shrimp, scallops, Asian flank steak, crab Rangoons and edamame! The edamame is a must!!! They cook it, grill it and dress it with sea salt and chili flakes....delicious!! The cheesecake for dessert was amazingly delicious. My husband and my reservation was cancelled at our local favorite restaurant for our anniversary dinner and so we chose Victor's. Wow! We're so happy that our other reservation was cancelled because we may have found our new favorite restaurant. Victor's had a happy hour prior to our 5:00 PM reservation with great shared plates offerings, including $1.75 local Wellfleet oysters on half shell. Then at 5:00 PM they go to their main menu of shared plates We ordered Oysters, Coconut Shrimp, Asian Style Skirt Steak, Crab Rangoon, and Chef's Cheesecake for dessert. We made reservations our first night in Ptown at Victor's and ordered up the Happy Hour menu. The Oysters were probably the freshest and best we had the whole trip. One of my favorite places to grab a drink and some oysters! Victor's is a must visit when you are in Ptown if you like good food, good decor, and a nice ambiance. It's a bit off of the beaten path, which makes it all the better for me. A little less chaotic and you can catch your breath while enjoying a glass of sparkling or a tasty cocktail. They have fantastic apps and entrees, and I could eat all of it! We make sure to stop in for their happy hour which includes $1.25 oysters. They shuck Wellfleets, which are in my opinion, the best in New England ( followed by Moonstones) Wellfleet is the town right next door, so you are getting fresh and fabulous oysters at a great price! Both times visiting my husband and I sat at the bar and had a great chat with the bartender. Can't wait to go back! read more

Sometimes when I have a really bad experience at a restaurant I wait to see if time dulls my memory, if it was truly as awful as I remembered or if I was just in a bad mood. I also like to check in with my fellow diners. In this case time hasn't dulled the experience. The whole group agreed, food was ranging from uninspired to truly awful. It was a friends big birthday so we went all out. We ordered almost everything on the menu, and unlike most small plates in which you receive less food, but a high quality and/or inventive version of that food, most of what we got was like a comical critique of small plates. 'Same as a full size only expensive and less food." I checked in with some of my fellow diners to see if it was just me, if my palate wasn't sophisticated enough, if I was missing something? Everyone agreed. It was flat uninspired and boring versions. Meh. It's steak. Meh. Deconstructed Meh. The very worst part was the Iced Gazpacho lobster bite as a starter. The Gazpacho was left in the refrigerator too long and was fizzy, it had actually begun fermenting. I brought this up to the staff and and no, they didn't remove it from the check. There was a long awkward conversation where I just wanted them to confirm that indeed it was not supposed to be "like that." Sigh... I seriously would not recommend. Too bad. read more

We came here for a group dinner (6 people) and could not have been more pleased with the experience. From start to finish, the entire meal was amazing. We had reservations (recommended) and were seated fairly promptly after arriving. We had several martinis- the pear one was especially delicious- and wines and all were amazing. Food is served tapas style- small to medium sized plates that are meant for sharing. Food is brought out as it is ready, which results in your entire table just snacking on dishes as they come out. We tried the tuna tartar, crab rangoon, Mac and cheese, shrimp, pot stickers, mussels, grilled romaine, sliders, scallops, and potato chips along with the filet special. My favorite restaurant in all of Provincetown! Serving up possibly the best dishes I have ever tasted, I always come back for more! The staff is all very friendly, explaining all ingredients in every dish and making sure it is safe for allergies and for diet restrictions (vegans, etc.). They have great recommendations and are always smiling - this must be a great place to work! The martinis are fantastic! I love my cocktails and when I tell you about a specific martini, you know it's delicious! The pear martini. I don't even like pears! This was so good and I felt it after only 1! That's never happened! The food is served in fabulous tappas style. Everyone gets a small plate and tries all the appetizers/entrees together. Love this idea! Now I don't have to steal my little brothers french fries when he's not looking! I strongly recommend a reservation before coming here. It is usually packed with a long wait, if they are even able to take a walk-in party. They must be doing something right! I think this is the most modern/elegant restaurant in town as well. A lot of places in town have that small cape town charm, but haven't been renovated in a good 10-20 years. Victor's is positively picturesque. Ready to be photographed and printed in a food magazine!
