We went to this restaurant for a birthday dinner with family. I ordered the veal schnitzel with spaetzle, instead of potato salad. There were 2 portions of breaded veal. I thought it was dry. I asked the waitress if I can get a gravy with mushrooms to put on top. She checked with the chef and he refused to make it. He claims it was not on the menu. Why would the chef not want to accommodate his customers? It was a simple request. Put some gravy on dry meat. Some people at our table have been here before and were disappointed, and won't be back to dine. Two people had the beef stroganoff and did not have noodles. Beef stroganoff HAS noodles everywhere else. They also add a fee for using a credit card. RIDICULOUS!! read more

Wow wow wow. What an amazing hidden gem in my neighborhood. I cannot believe this place has been here for over 20 years and I just found out about it through my fellow broward foodie Ashley E. This little restaurant is located on State Road 84 right before Pine Island Road right next to a Dunkin Donuts (I grew up on Dunkin' Donuts and I'll still call it that..not Dunkin) When you walk in the intimacy and the vibe is so European as if you were actually stepping into a 'em restaurant in Central Europe We came here for their happy hour (25% off all liquor, wine, and beer) which runs from 2-6 pm. Started off with a smoked old fashioned with French cherries. The old fashioned was amazing but those cherries were out of this world..normally I don't eat cherries but those may have converted me. For food we ordered the Bavarian Schnitzel (pork tenderloin) with truffle mushroom cream, Gruyère, Spatzle and red cabbage as well as the Chicken Vienna. The schnitzel was very huge that it literally took up the entire plate but it was so good..the crunchiness of the tenderloin covered in the mushroom cream and Gruyère gave you such a great mix. For dessert we shared a raspberry dessert cake with almonds which was amazing also shout out to our bartender Autumn who was such a doll and made some bad ass drinks I definitely recommend this place and will try it out for their brunch read more

It's been a while since my husband and I visited Vienna, but it's always a special occasion when we can fit it into our schedules. Unfortunately, this visit left us disappointed. The first red flag was walking in to find the place empty--no one at the bar and only one table occupied, which is very unusual for Vienna. We decided to sit at the bar and noticed a new menu, though we were still able to order the Sambuca Shrimp appetizer (even though it wasn't listed anymore, which struck me as odd). The updated menu featured some unique items like boar, venison, and elk, which seemed intriguing. However, I was craving the "Chicken Vienna" I'd enjoyed so many times before, so I ordered it without even reading the menu. When the dish arrived, it wasn't what I expected. Instead of the familiar preparation with chicken, tomato, and fingerling potatoes, it came out like a Thanksgiving dish--heavy cream base, peas, carrots, and who knows what else. Clearly, the dish had been changed, and while I'll take responsibility for not reading the menu, it would've been nice if the bartender had mentioned that it wasn't the same dish anymore. Instead, the attitude I got was essentially, "too bad, so sad." I can live with that, but it wasn't a great customer experience. The final blow came with the bill. Everything is electronic now, and the tip is calculated based on not just the food but also taxes and added fees--yes, including credit card fees. On top of already-inflated prices, this felt excessive. After finishing our meal, it was easy to understand why the place was so empty. Sadly, Vienna just isn't the warm and welcoming place it used to be. Eddy, who was the heart of the restaurant, is gone, and it's been downhill ever since. It's heartbreaking to see a place you love change like this. To the new management: listen to your customers. The old Sambuca Shrimp and Chicken Vienna were staples for a reason. While I don't believe the customer is always right, their feedback is valuable. Ignoring it could cost you the loyal following that made Vienna so special. We won't be back, but I hope others don't have to feel the same disappointment. read more

We dropped our daughter off at NSU. After leaving her at the dorm we went here (did some wine bar searches). When we go to visit her we will be visiting this place again. Great atmosphere, nice wine list. We chatted with the grand daughter of the owner..nice, fun and welcoming. I've visited a few times. If you get there early(5PMish) it's a great place to entertain business clients; not super busy early so you can chat over drinks easily. As the evening goes on and they get busier it can be tough to hear over large parties but nonetheless a nice location. Everyone in my party enjoyed their meal, no complaints. I specifically requested basic items of grilled salmon and sautéed spinach and they were happy to accommodate. And it was delicious. Staff is very polite, friendly and professional. Specifically the young lady seating guests(hostess maybe), was surprisingly friendly and a great communicator. A pleasant surprise and commendable attributes for sure. read more

The ambiance in this restaurant is warm and intimate. This is a place where you can have a small business lunch or a romantic dinner. The food was very delicious--I ordered their salmon with asparagus and it was perfectly cooked. Our server was super attentive and made sure we were satisfied throughout our entire experience. We absolutely fell in love with this place when we were in the city for a work trip. We ended up here due to the positive Yelp reviews from others, and it definitely did not disappoint. Ehen we entered we were greeted right away and decided to sit at the bar, since we don't usually get to do this as we have our daughter with us normally. You can order the full menu at the bar, but I'd recommend getting a table for that and just drinks / dessert at the bar top, only so you have more space for full plates. Our server was very friendly and helpful. The wines were excellent and they had A TON of options. We did a cake for dessert with our drinks and the are all made IN HOUSE FROM SCRATCH. This is one of my favorite places to go for happy hour. Happy hour is 25% off your food and drinks Tuesday through Sunday 2-7pm. In order to get the discount you have to be seated at the bar. Edward is the most amazing bartender and he will definitely make you feel comfortable with his kindness and wonderful service.  My favorite dish is the  Chicken Vienna: Sauteed chicken medallions, spinach, roasted tomato, capers, and lemon butter with fingerling potatoes. Pro tip I get the spaetzle instead of fingerling potatoes. Spaetzle is my favorite though. I also love the Sambuca Shrimp: Seared shrimp with applewood bacon, oven roasted tomatoes, sambuca, and fresh basil. My friend got the avocado burger which he truly enjoyed which was topped with fresh avocado slices, pickled red onions, and arugula. The fries were incredible as well! I love the Chocolate Mousse Cake for dessert.  The Marizipan cake is also amazing. Both are decadent and delicious. They always have a dessert tray with different seasonal desserts to choose from. I have been here probably about 100 times and every time the food and service is consistently amazing! I definitely highly recommend this restaurant.  The atmosphere is very romantic and sweet. I finally made it to Vienna Wine Bar and man was I happy with my food. I got the almond crusted yellowtail snapper and my girl got the beef stroganoff. The yellowtail originally comes with a side of coconut rice and passion fruit slaw, but I chose to replace it with garlic butter pasta. It was GREAT! The stroganoff was also very tasty. The live music was also fantastic. Only reason I give it 4 stars is because I didn't really like my waiter much and the desserts were not so great. The pork was nicely cooked, I thought the truffle cheese sauce was a bit much, in my opinion, the spaetzel was a mix of browned butter crisp and not, really nice mix. The guy we had was nice, but it took forever to get the check and then turn it in. Overall I'd say service was slow, there were times of attentiveness, pouring wine type thing. It has a really nice atmosphere, the piano player/singer is good was perfect initially but got so loud later it was hard to have a conversation. I go every couple years, never changes. It is no wonder why Vienna Wine Bar is one of the most recommend restaurants in Broward County for as far back as I remember. If I had one word to describe the reason for their success it would be CONSISTENCY!!! Vienna has been around since 1999 and we have had dinner there a couple times and we always received the best service from servers that are engaged in their work, great menu with phenomenal food. So why is Vienna Wine Bar called a Wine Bar? Vienna puts a great emphasis on their wine collection and has no problem with patrons bringing their own wines if they want for a $25.00 corkage fee. Our first time for brunch was last Sunday with our "brunch group" and walking in to a warm, homey atmosphere with dark woods, French style windows, richly painted walls with great artwork and white moldings throughout gave me the same comfortable feeling I had when I was there for dinner. The small cozy wine bar as we walked in was beautiful, with several wines displayed on top in beautiful wood wine shelves over the length of he bar. Throughout the restaurant they had several of these shelves so no matter where you looked, wine was a big part of the motif, thus the Wine Bar!!! We were seated at a corner wood table for 6 people by the window, with a Lazy Susan in the middle for sharing. Great touch. Do not let the term "wine bar" fool you, because Vienna has a classic, well balanced brunch menu with choices of Eggs Benedict, Omelettes and Frittatas, breakfast skillets and sandwiches and a choice of brunch entrees. To top off a great creative menu, their Vienna French Toast selections are unusual and as great as they show on the menu. We ordered their Crispy Vienna French Toast which was Cornflake Crusted on a French Baguette. A real fruity Berry Compote was served on the side and of course Maple Syrup. We ordered one to share off the Lazy Susan and the portion was enough for all of us. I ordered the Spinach & Goat Cheese Frittata and so did a couple other people in my party. It was very light and served with sliced Avocado on top, which really finished this off nice. Although they have bottomless mimosas, most of us just had coffee. My wife ordered a beautiful fruit bowl on the side, which was a really nice portion of fresh fruit. The atmosphere was so relaxing, not rushed and it felt like we were in someone's dining room. In fact we enjoyed the service, the company and the food so much, we just sat for an extra half hour or so after our meal. Even though it started to get more crowded, it never got loud and the tables were set far apart so no one seemed ever on top of each other. We need to come back for dinner here, and their Happy Hour from 2:00 to 7:00 pm for 25% off the entire check. They also have 1/2 off bottles of wine or bring your own, with NO CORKAGE FEE!!! I am definitely going to get back here more often, definitely, get a nice bottle of wine and enjoy this relaxing ambiance in the evening. I am beyond impressed with Vienna Wine Bar! I have heard about this legendary restaurant for a while, but thanks to a friend who made brunch reservations I was finally able to experience the wonderful food and experience that is Vienna Wine Bar. Don't let the name fool you, this is not only a wine bar but mostly a restaurant with a sophisticated European theme. The restaurant is warm, beautifully adorned giving it a very cozy and inviting environment, I was very comfortable and enjoyed the quaint ambiance. My friends and I met for Sunday brunch, there were so many delicious options I wanted but decided on the Spinach & Goat Cheese Frittata, it was delicious! Light yet full of flavor, and I loved the fresh sliced Avocado served on on top, I also enjoyed the bottomless mimosas which were excellent. Service was attentive and not rushed, I really enjoyed the butter and marmalade served at the table, I didn't have to ask for it for my bread. I am looking forward to bringing my mom as she loves quaint Euroepan spots with great food, ambiance and desserts, and this place is spot on, very much enjoyed it and look forward to returning soon. read more

Sweet little wine bar in Davie, Florida. My husband brought me here for a brunch on Sunday morning. Maybe it was our phone, but the GPS did take us to the wrong location initially but did discover it's in a stand alone building, not the shopping center. We ordered the pork belly skillet and spinach goat cheese frittata. Both were delicious in their own way. The pork belly was very savory and filling. I definitely enjoyed the frittata more and found it to be very light and filling with the avacado on top. Sunday bottomless mimosas is only $18 with an entree. Which seems pretty fair. We were fortunate enough to grab the last Tuesday where bottles were 50% off when ordering an entree, but after coming here we don't care what day of the week it is - we will come again! Onto the review: Local restaurant located off SR-84 in Davie you might miss it if you're not on GPS but a stand-alone facility that has the right mood setting for intimate friendly gathering or that first date. The staff is very friendly from start to finish. It felt true to form, in a quaint neighborhood restaurant that offered fine dining. For appetizer, we ordered the duck and port wine pate. Great starter to accompany the bottle of wine "Troublemaker". The pate was extremely tasty paired well with the grapes and cheese on the platter. For main course, we split a Veal Medallions in Mushroom Madeira Sauce, Spätzle with Red Cabbage (a.k.a Jaeger Schnitzel). I've never tasted veal medallions so rich and flavorful and omg the red cabbage. Yes, I'm raving about the cabbage. I had to have it with every bite of this meal. This place is really great. Service was impeccable just like it was the last time I was here which feels like ages ago. I ventured out today for their special Easter 3-course brunch special. It started with an assortment of breads, cheeses, and fresh fruit. I then selected the crispy French toast for my main course which was fantastic. To finish, I chose the strawberry dome cake which was different. Not as good as I thought it would be but still very nice so I don't have regrets trying it. We went on a Sunday at 11 AM with a reservation. This place does get busy! Starting at 11:30 AM you may order off the brunch or lunch menu. Before 11:30 AM it is only the brunch menu. They have a wide variety of options. I had heard great things about the corn flake french toast and so I had to try it. We ordered one for the table to share. It is four large pieces served with a side of syrup and a berry sauce. It was delicious! I would order again to share. It is too rich for my main dish. I had the fritatta with spinach and topped with a dollop of goat cheese and avocado. It was served with fresh quality whole grain bread. There is butter and strawberry jam to but on the bread. Prices are affordable for the quality and portion size served. The staff did a great job refilling beverages and clearing plates. They do bottomless mimosas for $15. This is a classier and calmer atmosphere for Sunday brunch than what you find on Las Olas. There is easy parking in the attached lot. There is a small bar with about 5 seats. We knew Per Jacobson had retired and sold the restaurant and hoped things would stay the same quality. We were frequent diners for nearly 30 years. We first noticed that the roses in vases and table side were no longer there. It added a nice ambiance and gave it that old world feel. My husband loves their schnitzel and orders every time. I usually order a fish dish and appetizer. The Sonoma salad was the same deliciousness. The fried artichoke was disappointing. No longer did the flavorful dipping sauce accompany it and it was topped with sautéed onion and tomatoe that was out of place. There was something different about the breading. It was still tasty. Unfortunately the pork schnitzel did not measure up. It was a huge slab but the pork was pounded so thin it only tasted like breading--which was also different. We told our server who offered to replace it. We asked that he let the chef know. Would have been better to leave thicker and a smaller looking portion. We've been to Austria which was another reason to come back consistently for the schnitzel. This was not prepared in that manner. Also, there were no local fish options as we came to expect. Vegetarians beware! Do NOT order the pan seared ratatouille; it's a plate of very mushy noodles (spatzle) with few veggies (ie, not even close to a traditional ratatouille). Also way overpriced -- and it made me quite ill. However, my husband really enjoyed his coffee-crusted ribeye, and we both liked the Sonoma salad. And the pianist is great. If you go and pay cash, make sure you give your payment DIRECTLY to your server. A different employee took our $140 -- and it disappeared . About 15 minutes after we left, the manager called to ask if we left without paying. Luckily, part of our payment was a gift card; we explained that -- and we had the receipt for the giftcard info to prove it. Ten minutes later, the manager called back. Miraculously, the "forgetful" employee remembered "accidentally" misplacing our payment. The manager let us know it was found, but that was it. No apology, no offer to make up for the stress of accusing us. It's lucky I made a reservation, so the restaurant had my phone number. Otherwise, our payment probably would still be "missing," and it would look like we left without paying -- which I would NEVER do. So very disappointed in our evening. I went with a girlfriend who is not a big drinker. She may have a couple of sips out of a glass. I asked to see the wine menu by the glass and the waiter who was very nice disappeared and the person behind the bar appeared to basically upsell their special wines by the bottle. I explained that my friend was not a drinker, that I would order by the glass. I ordered off their wine menu and he looked at me like I was crazy and said we don't have that wine. I said oh I'm so sorry, it states that you do on the menu and he said it's because they never update their menus here. His arrogant demeanor was so frustrating on what should have been a fun girl's dinner. It was a total buzz kill. It was as though once we were not buying the bottle of wine he recommended we became disposable and annoying. Totally over it, I ordered a glass of Malbec wine and it came out spoiled from an open bottle. Once I brought it to their attention, he then started whispering to other wait staff about us at our table and they would turn and stare. It was such a miserable evening. The manager, Ashley walked up and when we told her what was going on she said well I didn't see that but I did smell the wine and it was horrible. It took 20 solid minutes to get an actual glass of drinkable wine. Our entrées came out missing items and it took 20 more minutes to get that and the escargot had a big piece of snail shell in it. I admit I was a bit surprised when we got the bill. I would have thought they would have comped the first glass of wine, I ordered 2. They did not, other than our actual waiter, who I believe had just started, there was no kindness, there was no apology, there was no humility, especially from the gentleman behind the bar! He should know how to treat customers whether they buy a pricey bottle of wine or not as my husband and I normally do. I would never return to be treated this way. The entire restaurant was virtually empty. If this occurs on a regular basis and this behavior is acceptable which apparently it is, it went on in plain sight, I understand why it was virtually empty. read more

This was my first trip, and since it was our Anniversary we decided to try it. I will say the service was excellent and bread was hot and tasty. What I had was delicious wasn't expecting it to be great, but the wife plate just wasn't right, and the manager came to help out make it right. This is a covid-19 takeout review. I did a prior review of this exceptional restaurant previously. I am going to begin by saying that I rarely do takeout reviews as I do not think most takeout represents a restaurant's food at their best. However, there are always exceptions and it is no surprise to me that the Vienna Wine Bar is one such exception. Hands down it is without a doubt one of my absolute favorite restaurants in the area. Today we decide to order lunch from there and what a treat it was for us. Even the drive home with the aroma of the food enticing all the way home was a treat for us! I ordered the Danish pork belly. It was absolutely divine. It was pan roasted with Granny Smith apples, caramelized onions and bacon, tossed with spatzle (a type of German pasta). Delicious! I enjoyed every morsel. My Mom had the Shrimp Cavatelli with wilted spinach, Cavatelli pasta, garlic and Parmesan cream with fresh basil. She said it was awesome, and I could tell she really enjoyed it. This was an extra special treat for us as our fridge died last week and we have been mainly eating stuff we were able to store in our large coolers on ice till recently. Just returned from Thanksgiving dinner with relatives at Vienna Wine Bar; first and last time for this restaurant. When my relative mentioned that turkey dinner was available for the holiday, I assumed that it meant the usual prix fixe dinner. The "dinner" was actually a turkey plate with two sides for fifty dollars, that's it: no salad, no soup, no drink, no dessert. Food was average at best. Huge prices for sides and appetizers, but only one app. was ordered and one dessert. Then comes the best part: the bill with an automatic 22% tip added on plus a 2 dollar charge for not paying with cash (debit cards do not count either). So, three of the party of four made a long trip from Palm Beach county for this experience. On the way out the door, a gentleman was complaining to the hostess about the automatic gratuity placed on his bill; we just laughed and walked out. All of us agreed next year will be catered at home. The one saving grace: Dunkin was open right next door for a fresh hot coffee and Boston Cream for the ride home! Never heard of Vienna before, but no one we know will ever be visiting here after this fiasco....won't be long before another set of owners takes over.... read more

Not so good since they changed ownership/management. The menu is not what it used to be and more pricy items for lunch. Who. wants to pay $30 or $40 for lunch. I have been twice since they changed hands and hardly anyone there at lunch time. Today one other couple. The waiter very nice but very slow. How long do you have to wait for your check and shouldn't they come back once or twice to see if you want a refill on coffee etc. For the prices they are not expecting I am not willing to go there. Needed to get out after things started to open up and what better place to go than the restaurant where my son is an aspiring chef In the kitchen. They had recently made a few renovations including a really nice new bar area. Came here with a great friend and had 6:00 reservations. They're not accepting walk-ins right now which is understandable. We were required to wear a mask until we got to our table where we were allowed to take them off. If you had to use the restroom or walked around the restaurant, it was mask on. The staff was wearing masks and gloves where necessary and all of the tables had hand sanitizer bottles on them. Totally comfortable with the set up. It was Tuesday night and they have wine specials every Monday and Tuesday - 50% off on bottles $55.00 or less. We ordered and had a great loaded potato soup with bacon which was excellent. Our main entrees were Filet of Beef Tenderloin Stroganoff and a coffee crusted Ribeye with au gratin potatoes. Both were served perfectly and the portions were huge (we both had take home bags). We finished off with their Double Chocolate Brownie dessert. The service was impeccable- (maybe cause my son was working and they knew dad was there ;) Katarina and her very new associate were phenomenal in recommendations and service. Very disappointing experience. Extremely slow brunch experience with minimal people in the restaurant. Waiter (who was also tending bar) seemed rushed to get away from our table despite there being almost nobody else in there. Ordered bottomless Bloody Mary and changed to just a single drink due to the lack of waiter attention given to our table. Food also took about 30 mins to arrive after ordering. We love it here. Relaxed atmosphere, excellent food, and a good value. We love the bottomless mimosas with Sunday brunch. We live in Weston and it's really nice to not have to drive all the way east to have a great meal. read more

The chicken schnitzel was something from frozen foods. The breading was twice as much as usual. Greasy and the oil used had that cheap taste. What came to mind was this place has changed hands. Is the truth!!! read more

Absolutely best restaurant in west broward!!! Honestly we are laking good food out here - I've been living in west broward for 31 years and drive east when looking for good eats. But Vienna Wine Bar is as good as any great one out east. Just got back from having another great dinner and wow as usual the food is amazing and not only is the food amazing so is the ambiance and lets not forget about outstanding service by Catarina, she has been our server several times and she is top notch, super nice, knowledgeable and very attentive! The manager makes his rounds to make sure everything is perfect, no worries for him with his superior staff! Bartender is new and she made us some great craft cocktails, thank you! This was a tough one. Starving but wanting something a little more upscale we remembered this quaint little hut we enjoyed brunch two years back and decided to give it a shot for Sunday dinner! Coming in the host which (I'm assuming was the manager) didn't know if he had seating available and needless to say wasn't the most pleasant person to encounter. We were promptly sat so we went with it! Having spent many years in the service industry both my husband and I we understand a tough a night and being in the weeds. Our poor server was one of the many servers in those weeds. STARVING and tired we were finally able to place our order after 15 minutes of receiving water. Our server was very apologetic and rushed over with bread and butter as soon as he was able. We ordered the mushroom soup that was more like gravy and slightly under salted. The scallops appetizer which were cooked perfect. The Jeger Schneitzal another winner and lastly the Steak Au Poive that was supposed to be medium rare but unfortunately came out on the Medium Well side. Unfortunately tonight was a very poor representation of what seems like a usually great place to dine at. We will definitely be back when we're not hungry and just want to receive the quality we know Vienna can deliver. read more

Excellent food and service! What prompted me to go was the reviews and the proximity of the restaurant in the heard of West Broward county. I wanted to try something different for lunch after church. I attend potential church and it's just across from it. We didn't have to wait long to sit, i arrived around 12:35 pm. As soon as I came in I felt in an extremely warm environment. The place has low volume music which is perfect for conversation and key to the ambience, playing jazz and Michael bible type music companies by a grand piano playing in the restaurant. We got the bruschetta as a started which surprised my palate. Exquisite! I had for lunch the shrimp and crab crepes and tried the chicken and mushroom crepe whch my cousin ordered. Both were spectacular! For dessert we had the bread pudding recommended by one of the servers which gave the perfect ending to our meal. Family friendly ( we had a one year old with us and they broth a high chair immediately upon our arrival) Servers checked on us constantly, and prices are good for what we had. Everyone had a smile.
