I have ordered from this place a few times. The food is so hit and miss. Sometimes it's been pretty good and sometimes it's been really bad. I called today to order food with the place closing in 35 minutes. The woman on the phone would not take my order because she said they were "closing early." I asked her why she answered the phone if they weren't taking any more orders and she hung up on me. Really horrible customer service. I won't be going back here. read more

Got the egg roll vermicelli salad ($11) to go. I appreciated the way everything was separately packaged to not get soggy. The egg rolls were very good. The noodles were a bit dry, next time I'll cover them in a wet paper towel and microwave for 10 seconds to soften them up first. I got more mint stems than leaves. Definitely five stars! I came here on a Tuesday night to pick up dinner as I'm staying in the area for work. Great location, easy to find and there's plenty of parking. I ordered the egg rolls and shaken beef with rice. The woman who helped me was very friendly. The ordering and checkout process was quick and easy as they have a hand held device that takes the order, takes your credit card and gives you a receipt. It took less than 15 min for my order to come out and an hour + later (I did an hour workout), the food was still warm and the egg rolls were still crispy. I loved the egg rolls rolled up in lettuce, mint leaf and dipped in the fish sauce. The egg rolls are perfectly seasoned if you use the fish sauce. Fresh, crispy and plenty of ingredients. They taste like the ones my mother made growing up. The shaken beef (Bo luc lac) with rice was also yummy! Tender cubes of beef, onions, garlic in a delicious sauce. I mixed the steam rice into the sauce. The side pickled cabbage and carrots with fresh cucumbers added a nice flavor to each bite, too. I've eaten this dish many times and at many places and they do it right here! Support local restaurants! Treat and spoil yourself to some delicious, healthy, fresh and homemade Vietnamese food! SO GOOD!!!!! Had the egg banh mi and chicken pho. Very fresh. Also had the boba and while the milk tea was good the boba wasn't the best! But still good!! Huge portion for the Pho which is always nice. Broth was yummy without any extra sauces but adding more is my thing, so it was even better! Service was fast and efficient! I've got a love hate relationship with this place. Obssessed with their bahn mi. Their pho options are very good but I've had better (the unexpected place in N. Sacramento on Greenback comes to mind...) Their combo plates are good. And their black sugar milk drinks are so good I order them even though I'm lactose intolerant, they are that good. So why hate? Because they consistently don't get their boba right - undercooked, the centers are doughy and pasty. Perfect boba is an art. And even the big chains can get boba almost right. Given how good to great everything else is here, the boba is a great let down. Nail that, and I'd give them a solid 5. As it is, I drive out of my way here when I'm jonesing for bahn mi or oxtail pho. read more

We noticed this restaurant pop up recently when we were in the area a few months ago shopping nearby, but finally got a chance to try eating here recently. We came on a Friday evening and it was not busy, so we got seated immediately. Their dining room is very new and modern. Their wait staff is also very attentive and let us know about their large portion sizes (we came with our two little girls). Overall, their food was good. My kids loved the shrimp chips and vermicelli (bun) with fish sauce. Their egg rolls were a little bland, but crispy. The cream cheese wontons were okay, just a bit too much cheese filling. I prefer the ones you get at Chinese buffets where there is more won ton wrapper to filling ratio. The crispy chicken was actually a rotisserie Cornish hen. It was very tasty and seasoned well. My wife and I were pleasantly surprised how well it was cooked. Even my younger daughter liked the meat. The tomato rice that came with it was a little bland and next time I might just ask for regular white rice. Their menu is very extensive and we look forward to visiting again. read more

This business is new and I've been meaning to post a review for a while now for them. I've stopped by here 3 or 4 times since they've opened and the food is great and the staff is very kind and personable. It's really nice to see something non generic pop up in newbury park which is becoming somewhat devoid of options or high quality mom and pop places. It's a little on the pricey side but everything is very tasty! I highly recommend the cream cheese won tons won ton soup and desserts! My only complaint is the first time I tried the black sugar boba milk tea, boba was very overcooked but it was perfect the second time. read more

We ordered the beef meatball pho soup, viet fried rice, and a chicken banh mi and it was delicious! My 6 year old loved all of it. The service was very attentive by the server, busier, cook, and owner. They recommended for dessert the Pistachio Custard and it was heavenly. We loved every bit of it and they just opened two weeks ago so I wish them all the best. We will see them again soon and sorry we did not take pictures. Maybe a 4.5, very solid Pho, some of the best broth I've had in a while. The only drawback from the experience was that they don't add the book Choy and other veggies most others do. The shrimp chips were great, the seafood pho was great, chicken pho was way above average, and the tiramisu desert was incredible. Well let me tell you I didn't get everything. It didn't have the meat balls only one piece of beef and one tendon. To top it off the piece of beef was very oily and felt old. A really good alternative to Love Pho down the road! Quality pho and a quick turnaround

We were driving to Los Angeles from Sacramento and worked up an appetite. A simple google search brought up this restaurant and we're so so happy we chose to dine in. They were closing soon but still accommodated us. The staff, each one of them, were so kind, helpful, and welcoming. We ordered the vegetarian pho and vermicelli noodles with shrimp and both were amazing. The shrimp was particularly delicious because it was marinated in some amazing sauce. Our server, Manny, was also great! They delivered great service, while also creating a welcoming atmosphere and serving delicious food. I chose this restaurant for take out after seeing all the stars on Yelp! I was extremely disappointed. I ordered the wonton soup and some eggrolls. The eggrolls were so overcooked they were almost inedible and once I scraped off all the burnt stuff they were pretty much flavorless because all I could taste was the burnt skin. The wonton soup only had two wontons and a lot of noodles. All of the vegetables came in packages so you had to assemble your own soup and overall it lacked flavor and I've had much better at a fast food restaurant. And for the price of $21, it was a waste of money and time. The pictures show it all! I'll give them a little break maybe because there was a sign on the door said they were closing on Wednesday due to the fact they couldn't find enough people to work. I had to write a review about this establishment solely, because I am out for looking for the perfect Bahn Mi sandwich. Sadly, this place didn't even come close to what comes to mind when thinking about a really good Vietnamese sandwich. Looking for an authentic Bahn Mi in Ventura county is like looking for needle in the haystack. So I've been to this place when they first opened and ordered the Bahn Mi and I wasn't impressed. It was missing important components of the sandwich, namely, well, seasoned meat, pate, and pickled vegetables. I look for head cheese, I know that most times you will not find that, so I didn't expect it. On my most recent visit I figured the sandwich would be similar, and I would just ask for extra things like pate, jalapeños, and assumed the other components would be there, like the pickled vegetables and a generous amount of seasoned meat. I ordered the pork bánh mì and I couldn't believe how little pork there was in it, literally five pieces on the bottom and I want better pate even though I asked for it and said please put a lot there were no jalapeños they were scared him out of vegetables that we're at pickles no daikon radish the carrots, or dry, and the cucumbers had the skins on, and we're really thickly cut into spears with the skins on. They didn't even have a lot of vegetables on it so he would feel like you were getting something when you put into the sandwich, and as I said, the meat was pretty much nonexistent the bread was like Panini bread, and it wasn't crispy not even chewy when you took a bite. read more

Their pho and banh mi's are excellent here. I've tried the oxtail pho a few times and some days it's extremely tender and some days it's good but could be more tender.
