Maui seriously struggles to make a decent latte; they tend to be weak and overdrawn with very little indication they are an espresso beverage. Also, no one can properly steam milk. Vigilatte is the exception to this rule. They are fast, friendly, draw a proper espresso, and can make microfoam. I do still find their sweetened lattes a bit too sweet for my taste (they will tell your they're not, but I still prefer the coffee to dominate the show). read more

We first seen this gem of a coffee shop on YouTube while looking for the best places to dine and drink in Maui. Located on Front street in Lahaina tucked away below the Dirty Monkey and Mid Pacific Tattoo. All the drinks are hand shaken like a cocktail and the coffee was the best we tried on the island. We ordered the iced white chocolate and dark chocolate mochas which were amazing and the second day were able to try the cocoa puff latte which my daughter enjoyed. The service was outstanding and our barista even remembered our order from the previous day with a great attention to detail. This is a must stop for coffee when visiting Maui and also have a great selection of their own Vigi Latte merchandise. Highly recommended! read more

Definitely wanted to check this place out, as we are always looking for good coffee on our annual trip to Maui. Finding it took a little longer than we thought, the outdoor kiosk is at the far end of Front street. By the time we got there, I was so hot, I just wanted an iced coffee instead of a hot drink. VIGILATTE had a cool set up. The baristas were shaking iced drinks like professional bartenders, wouldn't be surprised if this idea was birthed out of the owner having a bartending background. The menu was a little hard to see while waiting in line, I had to bend down to look up to read it. On the wall was a large marquis for the NUTELLACCINO, a house special, only at Vigilatte! That did it for me, I knew I had to try it! I asked for light ice, but was told all their drinks have specific measurements to make the drink what it is--which was a nice "no" on the light ice request! I will say the NUTELLACCINO was the best iced coffee drink I've ever had. I still wish it had less ice (also didn't have the chocolate sauce drizzled as shown in the pic) but still very happy with it! When in Lahaina, this is a must go place for coffee drinks! read more

This establishment was located down a side street in the strip. We stopped here because my sister wanted a iced latte but the menu listed a Cinnamon Toast Crunch latte that I could not resist. It was tasty and refreshing! Tasted just like the cereal/a snickerdoodle cookie! The women making the coffee were very kind and helpful! The service was great and our drinks were made very promptly. They answered questions that we had about the menu. They coffee shop offered outdoor seating as well with some shade! Tipped off by a Travel you tube I stopped in this afternoon for an iced Cafe Bon Bon. Espresso, sweetened coconut milk, and mocha. Found VigiLatte Artisan Coffee through Yelp and it was truly a great find! The coffee was good and unique. What makes them unique is that they put the coffee drinks in a shaker and hand shake their drinks up as if it's an cocktail. Stopped by VigiLatte on a nice morning stroll through Front Street. It is a very rustic style coffee bar/truck and the baristas are super nice and enthusiastic about coffee! I got an agave oat latte and it was everything I didn't know I needed. I don't normally care for oat milk, but it was very smooth, light, and creamy. The agave further complemented and ehanced the oat flavor without being overly sweet. Overall, the latte had a nice coffee flavor and was well balanced. Since I visited before most stores in the area had opened, VigiLatte wasn't too busy and service was quick. There's plenty of street parking in the morning, but can get busy as the day goes on. read more

This is a really cool coffee cart located inside the shopping plaza. The baristas were nice and very helpful. Their owl logo is awesome with that fierce owl look. My mom and I returned to VigiLatte just before the tragic fire. We bought ten more bags of Prime whole bean. (It's not the same as when Belle makes it, but it is still the best coffee ever.) When we left that ol' Front Street spot, I also walked away with a mocha, and again I left happy. Their drinks are like the Aaron Rodgers of coffee (or Tom Brady or Patrick Mahomes, or whomever you fancy). It's that good. They're that consistent. Should be called VigiLatte GOAT Coffee lol. I don't know when I can return to Maui, but from the pics, the new location looks posh. And I'm sure the service is still flawless. We just stumbled upon this coffee shop while shopping today. Such a great find! The decaf latte we ordered was one of the best we ever had. They also have Italian cream sodas here. I'm always undecided on which flavor to pick, but the barista was very friendly and patient. I went with the guava one because he said it's sweet and creamy. It was delicious. Amazing coffee spot in a Lahaina - parking is tough around here unless you're willing to spend $10 for a minimum of 2 hours, so I recommend trying this place out when you're already planning to visit the area and walk around a bit. We got their Cafe Bon Bon (most popular) and agave oat lattes and they were a perfect pairing since the Cafe Bon Bon was sweeter while the agave oat was much more subtle. They advertise that none of their lattes are too sweet and I felt like that was true for the most part. For reference, I'm the type of person who gets like 25%/50% sweetness at boba shops and Starbucks. Both of the workers we interacted with were so friendly and informative and the drinks themselves are decent sizes. They don't load up on the ice, so you actually get a lot of actual drink, which is appreciated. All in all, I would definitely go back again on a future visit to Maui. read more
