Viland is part of the Yummy businesses. I go here for matcha mostly. The Tofu Matcha and the coconut matcha are my favorite (5/5). I accidentally ordered the blended coconut matcha before they fixed the naming conventions on toast and I liked it a lot too. The egg coffee is a bit on the bitter side and really isn't done as well as some other businesses (3/5). I've had a couple of their pastries - the avocado croissant and the almond croissant, but they were just average. I typically order on toast app and my drink is always ready on time. The staff are pretty nice and if you have an online order you can just pop into the pick up area and they will work with you. The coffee shop has a pretty decent amount of tables inside. What I'm not a fan of are the people who are sitting outside smoking. Each visit, even at 7:30 am, I've found a group (albeit maybe not the same group outside). Coffee was definitely stronger in the viland coffee compared to the young coconut latte. The honey chrysanthemum was interesting but refreshing. Had the matcha with tofu drink. The tofu was super soft, smooth, and had a slight sweetness to it that added something so special to my matcha drink. Also had the chicken croissant sandwich which was good and a nice twist on the traditional bahn mi on baguette. Beignets were fluffy and fresh. read more

Yay! Finally made it here. And I was not disappointed. I came today to try their drinks. We got in line and I ordered the Viland coffee and my daughter got matcha latte. My daughter enjoyed her matcha she said it tasted like oat milk so I assume that is a good thing. My coffee was so good!!!! It was the right amount of coffee and not too sweet, plus it has a crème brûlée cream and a burnt sugar top! I drank it to the last drop and I am embarrassed to say that I actually licked the lid and cleaned the inside of my cup with the straw! I will definitely come back here again. Very clean inside, the matcha was on the lighter end. Not my favorite, but the tofu pudding was really good. My mom got the Vietnamese coffee which was really good too! Worth the try. The workers were nice and attentive and there is plenty of seating to study at. read more

The drinks here are great and would've been 5 stars for me however the drinks were overfilled with 80% or more of ice so you can only enjoy a few sips cause it's mostly ice and very little drink. I ordered the pandan latte which was creamy, flavorful, sweet and not bitter which I really appreciate. I love that you can really taste the pandan flavor. I also ordered the Viland milk tea which was also delicious, creamy and the flavor is just perfect. I love the creme brulee topping on this drink. The only thing that was disappointing was the amount of ice. I was shocked that I was almost done with my drink in minutes when usually I can sip on my drinks from other places for hours. Hopefully they reduce their ice to just 20% or less of the cup which is how it should be since customers don't want to be paying for mostly ice. The shop is clean, aesthetic and about medium size. Parking was easy on a weekend morning. There is a good size lot so there aren't any issues with parking. There is a bathroom available for customers. read more

Stop by today (Friday) to try the Ube coffee around 10:30am. It is busy however moving fast. Only 2 people in front of me and there are still a couple tables inside to seat. I was surprised to receive 2 free mini beignets with my drink. I believe this is a short promotion and will end 10/31/25. My drink was good, I like it better than the Vietnamese milk coffee, not as bitter. The only other wish is if they use crushed ice instead of ice cube. I will say that I was a little thrown off by the chunkiness of the coconut but hey, now we know it's fresh matcha they use! This spot just opened and it's busy! But there's a kiosk you can order from inside if you want to avoid the line. We had the traditional Viet coffee, marble drip and Viland coffee. Very nice interior, design and seating. Pretty efficient service. Parking isn't too bad either and it was relatively easy to find parking but spots may be tight. Pistachio croissant had a nice good amount of filling but I prefer a crunchy fresh baked warm croissant. For $3.50, honestly not bad. Blended Avocado Coffee was creamy and coffee has a distinct bitter flavor. Not bad but I wouldn't say it's the best I've tried in the area. Matcha einspanner - matcha latte is very rich and smooth, no crumps at all and perfectly sweet at 50% sugar + less ice. the cream top is infused with brown sugar so it tasted like a whipped brown sugar fluff, sweetness is just right. There was a bit of a wait (15min) for my drink but staff was sincerely apologetic and friendly - shop is still new so def understandable that everyone is still adjusting w the customer flow. Another new cute coffee shop in Orange County, unfortunately, that's about it for me. Came here on Saturday around 1:30 pm & it was packed - which is understandable because social media + it's new! It was chaotic in there! Workers were running around, and some of them looked so annoyed & mad - but anyway, let's get to the review. I got the marble coffee & my husband got a regular Vietnamese coffee. Neither of us enjoyed our drinks, it just wasn't good. We had to wait an extra 10 minutes for a new batch of beignets and on top of that, I got the last 2 mini croissants. So I guess they do things in batches here or maybe since it's still new that's how they're running it to maybe not waste food? I'm not sure but the croissants were pretty good. The beignets however didn't taste like anything. Barely any powdered sugar on top - and it's weird because they weren't even warm even though we had to wait extra for them. Parking sucks here so please beware of that. I think there are plenty of other places to go to for coffee & pastries. But maybe I'll try it again once they're settled in. read more

There was so much hype around their anniversary promos, BOGO matcha tofu drinks, and of course, all the influencers were saying how amazing everything was. I ordered my favorite beef sandwich and ended up waiting almost 30 minutes (no heads up). Honestly, I feel stupid for waiting that long--but what's the point of leaving empty-handed after already investing the time? The croissant sandwich tasted so good with every bite full of all the combinations of fresh veggies, warm and juicy meat, and a crispy croissant crust. I'm really glad I chose to try it in addition to my drink. The aesthetic is really clean and pretty as well. It's a coconut milk base with avocado foam. The flavors are both prominent and pair very well together. This is delicious and tastes like che bo (vietnamese avocado dessert). I love the little coconut buts in the drink as well. A little too much ice to drink ratio, but still very tasty. - pate chaud: 8.5/10. The flavor of the pate chaud is amazing! The meat inside is very flavorful, a good balance of salty and sweet. I wish they would have warmed it up to eat. Would have been so much better. - mini croissant: 6.8/10. I'm a sucker for mini/cute things so I couldn't resist. Good croissant flavor, but missing the flakiness. Definitely for the aesthetic/vibes. - beignet: 6.5/10. The beignets are advertised as "hot fresh hand made!", but the beignets are not made to order, so they're not crispy or hot. Tastes exactly like banh tieu, but with powdered sugar on top. Negatives: -maybe it's because they're still new, but they ran out of coconut so I couldn't try the matcha coconut that I wanted. -prices, for the coffee it's a little expensive though the prices for the croissants are good Positives: -service was good, the hostess try to accommodate our requests and also gave us a sample of the beignets which aren't available at DaVien -taste, my wife got the Viland coffee, it was a little strong. I randomly saw it on social media so decided to give a try. Since it was a Vietnamese coffee shop just like many others around here, I expected it to be all the same. Came on a Wednesday night, it was not so packed but quite noisy. Understanding how people talked really loud, but the music was even louder. The staff looked like they didn't want to be there. One of them, a girl, even tried to have their friends cut the line as I was right in front of the cashier. Aside from that, I came here mainly for the drinks. We wanted to try different drinks at once so we got Salted Coffee, Strawberry Matcha Latte, Matcha Einspanner, and Avocado Blended Coffee. This is my thoughts on those: - Salted Coffee: more like cheese foam coffee, not even salty. Coffee was sour and bitter with loads of condensed milk. All I tasted was sweet on creamy sweet with bad coffee. - Strawberry Matcha Latte: definitely syrup and few mashed bits of strawberry. Matcha was hella clumpy, could tell it was pre-made but not properly. Again, sweet as hell but no actual strawberry hint in the drink, the fruit helped. - Matcha Einspanner: even clumpier than the other one. Cream top tasted molasses-y, too sweet of a drink. - Avocado Blended Coffee: phin smith's copycat, but not even close. Mine also came with bad coffee so it was sweet, sour, and bitter. Overall, most drinks were super sweet. I do appreciate the variety of food items and such, though there are lots of rooms for improvement, especially customer service and drinks. read more

We stopped by on a weekend to try bolsa's newest coffee stop. The interior was cute. Line moved moderately quickly - i know they've just opened but the big flower pots on the counter make it really hard to read the menu. Drinks and pastries came out fairly quickly. We got some mini croissants, beignets and a viland coffee. Croissants are okay, they have melted sugar on top? Coffee was decent, nothing really special compared to all the other viet coffees in OC. The beignets need some work. They barely had any powdered sugar and were soft, like they could have used another minute or two on the fryer. The inside was fluffy but it bordered being undercooked. The pandan coffee latte was not bad. The other two drinks has way too much of a coffee/bitter taste for me, but if you are a person who loves that taste of coffee with a mix of flavor, then this place is definitely for you! A little hard to find because the entrance is facing the main street but the interior is very modern/cute. Ordered the Viland Coffee which is a Vietnamese coffee w/ a creme brulee top, it was pretty sweet but very good! Viland Coffee - Strong and punchy and the creme brulee top was a great addition. Had to let the ice melt a bit so the drink wasn't as sweet but when I get Vietnamese coffee, I kind of already expect the drink to be pretty sweet, even when I adjust the sweetness (I forgot if I was able to adjust the sweetness at Viland but I always get 25% at Da Vien). Service - I know they are still in their soft opening so kinks might need to be worked out but when I walked in, there was 1 person ahead of me so I waited behind them to order. When it was my turn, the cashier didn't acknowledge me and went to grab pastries for a previous customer, which would not have been an issue if it took less than 1 minute but I was standing there for a good 3-4 minutes without the someone saying "I'll be right there" or "someone will be with you shortly". There is only 1 cashier and like 6-7 baristas behind the counter making the drinks and some of them even looked at me but didn't say anything so it was a bit awkward. I almost walked out but eventually the cashier returned and was nice/able to answer my questions but would have appreciated an acknowledgement? Dear Viland Coffee, This beats all the coffee spots (so far, so many are coming now! Haha) Viland the sweet little warm handheld treats, and croissants with pork, beef, and chicken. Pork hits the spot for sure. Drinks are great, have tried the blended, and coffees, matcha tofu yummy all around for sure. So definitely give these a try. Some of the tofu sweet cups are hit and miss as the ginger has to be deeper into a mix of the tofu. I may as well just get regular tofu instead haha. Taste is everything for sure, and I know money is and that is what we are paying for the taste to be complete too. There aren't too many seats but the interior was really nice and was shiny new. I got the matcha einspanner and I was pleasantly surprised that it was 20oz for $7! Viland Coffee is a beautiful modern shop with pastries and croissant sandwiches, matcha, and Vietnamese coffee. The interior is warmly lit with natural wood and dark blue detailing. Lots of inside seating and a few tables outside as well. They give you a buzzer with a number on it to receive your drinks when they are ready. This buzzer is not only intensely loud, but with strong vibrations. The prices were not bad for a Vietnamese Coffee Shop, a little cheaper (50cents or so) than other spots. We ordered: - Salt Cream Vietnamese Coffee: the Vietnamese coffee was more strong and bitter compared to other VN Coffee that I've had. If you like that then, I'd recommend Viland for you! The salted cream was good, but perhaps a tad too salty for my tastes. When mixed together with the coffee, the drink was more palatable for me. I think next time I'd try one of their other drinks. - Young Coconut Matcha with Oat Milk: Now we requested it with oat milk, but when I picked it up-- the sticker on the cup didn't mention oat milk. They were way too busy for us to bring it back up and mention this, so my brother who is lactose intolerant couldn't drink it. The drink itself was really good with a creamy bold coconut flavor. The matcha was also good, not too sweet...yet not unsweetened and bitter either. You could still taste that it's a matcha drink, so you are def getting bang for your buck. If only he could have drank it, I think he would have really enjoyed it! We also ordered Pistachio Croissants and their Almond Croissants. I don't think we would get the pistachio croissant again, because it lacked pistachio flavor. Yes it was green and had a few crushed pistachio nuts on top. But other than that-- the cream inside was on the runny side. It tasted mainly like vanilla and the texture needed work. Needed to be thicker and hold its form well. As we tore off a piece of the croissant the runny cream just spilled all over the napkin. A bit of a waste. I do like the interior of the place and they had a nice menu for drinks. I ordered ahead so it was quick. Did 30% ice and 50% sugar bc it's my first time and I don't want to order 0-30% sugar to have the best judgment on this drink. I ordered a Pandan matcha latte. The pandan was def there but it was just a bit overpowering the matcha flavor. The sugar tho, it's the problem. It's def not 50%, I gave it to my friends who drink 100% sugar. And we all agree it's def 100% sugar. I'm a big fan of Matcha and I drink a lot of Usucha which is def a bit more raw compared to most places.
