I so WANT to like this place because I have spoken with the manager who is very friendly. Unfortunately, my order this past Sunday was less than spectacular. Placed the order online, all is well. Didn't get my food for almost an hour. In the usual fashion, the delivery driver opted to call me rather than simply walk to the door and knock. Really? This is their JOB, simply get out of the car. Don't make me stand there looking like an idiot waiting in the cold so you can get your things together and make it to do the door. The was food was COLD. Who wants to eat cold mozzarella sticks? I certainly don't. Especially because when they get cold and the condensation in the styrofoam container ends up back on the food it just gets soggy and gross. The pizza was also less than spectacular and you guessed it, cold. Toppings on the pizza iare abundant but it feels like a band aid more than anything. They need to fix their crust, this is the second time I have noticed it to be a weird combination of burnt and undercooked at the same time. Now, there must be something good about Village pizza because I keep coming back for more. I can say that I haven't had a bad meal here. Chicken wings excellent no matter what flavor but I usually get garlic parmesan and spicy buffalo. French fries are plain but good as hell! Try the American Anthem pizza with mozzarella sticks bake inside and you can have them soft, medium or crunchy. You can't go wrong with the appetizers love the fried pickles that have some spice to them and the mac and cheese bites awesome. For dessert the fried Oreos and bananas fosters bites are excellent. Village Pizza is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year. Unbelievable! Even though it's right around the corner from my apartment, I almost never order from there because it's so mediocre and it's yet another Greek pizza place. They have a couple of things going for them, though. First, it's open til 11 every night except Sundays. Yeah, eleven's not that late, but you'd be surprised at how many pizza places close at 9 or 10 around here. The other thing is their massive menu. Aside from the usual pizza/grinders/calzone stuff, you can also get fried Oreos and fried cheesecake, chicken dinners, steak tip dinners, hamburgers, seafood, ribs, tres leches cake, wings, gyros, and frozen yogurt. For pizza, you can get regular, thin crust, or deep dish with a great variety of toppings. There are quite a few specialty pizzas, too. It's also the last non-chain pizza place left in CF. This is our go to for delivery in Pawtucket. We 'be tried most in the area and Village is by far the most delicious. Their delivery people are SO nice and the food arrives super hot. We've had lots of pizza , meatball subs, gyros, steak bomb grinder and salads. The salads are surprisingly crisp, even the cucumbers. Everything we've had has been above average. I am writing an update to my original 1 star post and comment below! the owner Manny reached out to me on my cell phone. Manny was the example of a excellent restaurant owner. He apologized for the lack of customer service I received and for the lack of bacon. He also thanked me for helping to make some changes with the staff and food, and put a credit on my account. Orders are never correct when we receive them. They say they don't offer wraps, even when you call the order in on the phone and they say they can do that for you, it always arrives on a sub roll. It's happened multiple times. Oh and it's completely dry, they don't put Cesar dressing on a grilled chicken Cesar wrap. Never heard of that one before. read more

Ryan and I were itching for pizza, wings, and more in preparation for the epic Patriots game (spoiler alert: WE'RE GOING TO THE SHIP!). We could've gone with our usual pick, Domino's, but I wanted to try a new place and Village Pizza kept coming up as a local favorite and also, their menu is MASSIVE. After spending a good 20 mins examining their menu online, we finally narrowed down our options. I ended signing up for their online ordering system which was actually really easy to use. Also, I love that signing up allows you to collect points towards free food (seriously, always up for free food!). Here's what we ordered: - Sicilian Pizza - BBQ with Pulled Pork - Cheesy Bread - 10 wings (5: Citrus Chipotle Sauce and 5: Garlic Parmesan) - 2 liter Dr. Pepper All of this came out to $45 with tip...and no, we were not feeding a party of 5 people..it was just us 2. -_- INSANE, right? I'll be honest, I ate the majority of the cheesy bread. The dough was tasty and I like the slight sweetness of the marinara sauce. Ryan and I split the wings, which were pretty good. Would've liked for them to be crispier but the sauces were yummy. We only had a few slices of the pizza because we filled up on everything else. As it was Sicilian style, it was a very thick crust and very filling. The pizza was tasty and will definitely make for some tasty leftovers! The service took longer than usual but of course, it was one of the busiest times for delivery pizza. Either way, the food came hot and fresh! For starters, this place has invested more in their advertising/making the menu look flashy...than their actual food. Everything from the fries to the subs were soggy. The "steak tip" dinner is a poor excuse...not asking for a 5 star meal here, but this place should think about doing a little better kitchen wise. read more

It finally arrives and I'm trying not to be mad it took so long, but I open the pizza box & my pizza is cold, there isn't light sauce which I ordered specifically & the pizza looks like it has been dropped. My fries were FREEZING cold & so were my mozzarella sticks, the cheese was a huge block (I couldn't even tell if they had been cooked they were so cold) I will NEVER order here again. 30$ for food that went in the trash. I am from Mass and just recently moved to RI, I have been looking for good pizza places and I have yet to find one. I decided to order from village pizza. They have an extensive menu and the price was right. Unfortunately, after I got home and saw the pizza I was pretty disappointed. I ordered a small crispy cheese and an xl regular anthem. The cheese pizza was soggy and the sauce on both was very bad. Ok, I get that some people like sweet sauces and some don't. I do not. I think it is very gross and not a real pizza, my boyfriend can tolerate it but he isn't a huge fan either. If there must be a sweet sauce then it should be optional. Why must I have this sweet sauce on anything? That will definitely not be a place I would order from again. Ordered on 6/22 at 10pm. Waited an hour, which was fine. The food was then in the delivery drivers car for over 40 minutes. The food arrived cold. To make it worse. The driver spoke no English and didn't understand me. I called, spoke with Ashley, she called me a racist because I said my driver didn't understand me. She wouldn't let me speak with the manager. I ordered a well done pizza. I received a soggy/greasy mess an hour later. I called to let them know and they said they'd resend "another" well done pizza. An hour later....no pizza. I called back and the woman said it's on it's way and made sure to let me know she had nothing to do with how long it was taking. I'm not sure if the person I spoke with on the phone was the owner or a worker but she is lacking customer service skills and should look into acquiring some if she intends to continue in her current profession. Needless to say....2nd pizza is as gross as the first. All Village Pizza take out menus are now in the garbage. I was a waitress while in school. I hated every minute of it and have a lot of empathy for those in the business regarding having to deal with difficult customers. The last few times food has been consistently getting worse and worse and delivery taking an hour when quoted 25/30 mins. Pizza has been over cooked after it took an HOUR to be delivered. Updating my review again. My husband and I just tried out Village again, with a credit from the owner to apologize for some rough service in the past, and everything was great. The driver was here in 30 minutes and was polite. The food got here hot and was tasty. More than we could finish. The jalapeno hot sauce is some of the best I've had in RI. read more

When I first moved here to CF everyone recommended this location. I was excited because they have such a large menu. Food: I LOVE their eggplant parm with ziti. They have garlic twists now instead of the garlic bread. I like the garlic bread better. Pizza isn't anything to praise about but my kids like it. Their apps are great! I recommend trying each one! Service: the people taking orders over the phone are so confusing. I ordered the bacon ranch cheese fries and she seems to charge me for a plain order of fries with extra sides. Where do I begin? We've been ordering from here for years and I don't know why we haven't learned our lesson. Fool me once? Shame on you. Fool me twice (probably way more?) Shame on me. We order here because when we first started the food was good, the service was good... consistency friends. And then now for longer than the good lasted, we've dealt with the shit. Cold soggy food, long deliver times. Literally always having to reheat almost everything. I've learned to order "cook extra crispy," but how does the pizza come? Like a soggy cold piece of floppy pizza. How do the sandwiches come (also ordered extra well done).. well they're also COLD and barely toasted. Truthfully if I received my order in a prompt manner, I'd have no issue with the under done-ness of my food. However when they have this nifty tracking email I keep an eye on the timing. It always takes about 45 minutes or so. Tonight after an hour I call the store, where's my food? Oh sorry it's done we're just waiting for the delivery driver to come back... okay cool I'm fucking starving but I get it. "Let me just ask how long has it been done because we've had this happen before and the food has been cold" She can't give me a time, which leads my hangry brain to think ATLEAST 10 mins (which again, not that bad) but when I call back TWENTY MINUTES LATER to check on my order , I'm put on hold for a while, and she comes back and informs me the order just left for delivery. So this food that I ordered an hour and twenty minutes ago, has been out of the oven for a proven twenty minutes already (but let's be serious who knows how much longer) and now has to endure a 10 minute drive... needless to say, we cancelled. Helllloooo central falls! Thank goodness they delivered to my house in providence. We tried the spinach and artichoke rangoons which had just enough filling and the mozzarella triangles, both were crispy and triangular food taste best! The wings are sauced just right we had the buffalo(im melting) and the bourbo(sweet relief) and the fries are not your average spuds. Of course we had to try dessert. We chose the tres leches cake, it was the cool sweet end to a delisciously crispy spicy meal. And they gave us $5 off so its like dessert is free. :) we will be calling the village again soon. read more

I have fallen in love with Village Pizza. My first trip there and I thought they where a standard family pizza parlor with a menu too big for their own good. And I was half right - they are a family pizza parlor and their menu is huge. But they are far from standard, and unlike most places, they seem to handle their menu just fine as everything I got was, at worst, very good! So far, I can say that their mango smoothies are amazingly addictive and their fries are nice and soft of the inside while maintaining a semi-crunchy exterior and being reasonably flavorful. Their fried cheese balls are yummy, and their boneless chicken tenders are delicious (we've tried the Chipotle and Sweet & Sour varieties). As for pizza, all 4 different specialties we've tried have been good. I highly recommend this nice pizza place - they've got to be doing something right for being around for over 40 years! read more

This place is the WORST (this is half a star).. Placed an order at 745 PM and was given a delivery time of 45 minutes, which is long, but I was OK with that it was a decent sized order.. We order small clam strips, chicken cutlet, chicken and ziti and a chocolate shake... Food came in about 50 minutes, which I was OK with... The driver says "I took the wrong shake I'll be back shortly".. Ok mistakes happen.. Call Village Pizza 30 minutes later and I'm instructed he had just left should be a few more minutes.. 17 minutes later, nothing.. Call back, girl has no idea what I'm talking about, put on hold 4 min.. Comes back "called driver he's 7 min away and I'm crediting you 5.00 for your next order".. Ok... 20 min later, no shake... Now I'm infuriated because since the start of this order it's now be been closing on 1 45 min.. Call back, "it's on it's way should be there in a few minutes" I said "at this point I don't even want it I have to get up early to work (of course door knocks while on phone) their solution to this absolutely ridiculous delivery? Charge the card 40.00 (so now 80.00 off your card) and in 7-10 business days they'd credit the card 5.00!! Yes, 5.00, not the whole order... Worst management and service I've ever experienced in delivery.. And, the food? Average at best.. Clams over cooked, cutlet soggy and falling apart, pasta over cooked, just miserable.. Stay away!! (Most of my reviews I'm more comical but I'm so tired I just had to finish this.. Wanted to try out one of my childhood favorite pizza places and see how it's faring. While the pizza is not the same, mostly crust wise, it was very fresh and good. I was very impressed with the staff and how friendly / accommodating they were. They checked in with us frequently even though it is counter service and they also gave my daughter free samples of clamcakes. read more

I'm super disappointed with Village. Ordering on their website, they clearly state that there is a deal for Party Pizzas, I ordered them on a clearly marked page that states PARTY PIZZAs (see photo attached) and they delivered Large pizzas. I had an event that was ending and this was to feed people as they left. I called to ask for a discount on what had been purchases since it was wrong and no one would wait for more pizza. The woman on the phone said no and that they would "lose profit"... I'm sorry, pizza is all profit so I'm not feeling bad for them. Never again. read more
