That said, the prices felt a bit high for what we got. It is definitely a touristy stop, and unless we wanted to drive into town, there were not a lot of other convenient choices. Our package included breakfast, but when I asked whether gratuity was included, we were told it was not. Having worked in a hotel years ago, I feel that should be made very clear up front. Great place for a casual meal a good food. We sat outside on a perfect sunny day. Our waitress was adorable. Funny, friendly, and prompt with our meal choices. We didn't want anything too formal. My wife and I shared some apps and salad. We flittered away the time talking, people watching, and deciding what wine to drink and what to order next on the menu. We had a great time. Our burrata app was super fresh tasting, soft and mild. The candied pecans, lettuce and tomatoes gave it just enough punch of flavor. We could've just kept ordering that, it was so good. But, our strawberry salad with grilled chicken was fresh, bright and tasty addition to our afternoon of relaxed eating. We finished of our time with a strawberry coconut cake. The sponge cake was moist and mild. The layers of cream in between the cake layers were soft and creamy. The frosting with coconut on top was also mild; alittle more taste than whipped cream, but not too sugary. You could see the coconut on top, but it didn't overpower the dish. Village Social seemed like an afterthought, tucked away in the back of Antler Village in a drab area with not a lot of traffic or seasonal decorations. We stayed at the Village Hotel at the Biltmore and we ate here two mornings in a row. Our room was on the second floor which is the same as the restaurant and was extremely convenient. Our room was not close to the restaurant which I would recommend as there were times that it got pretty loud in there with folks enjoying their meals. Service was extremely attentive. Our first morning we had a 6:30am breakfast and had to leave by 7 to make it to an experience we had booked and they were very fast. Between the two days, we had the granola, social breakfast (both times) and lox & bagel. I would recommend all of these meals. My husband referred to the pork sausage as next level. The orange juice was fresh squeezed and the coffee was strong and refreshed often. Eggs were cooked perfectly. Everything was farm to table and it shows. There is a very inviting fire place and a concierge nearby if you need assistance while going about your day. This place has so much ambience! Very cozy and comfy. There is a fireplace with sofas and chairs to sit in while waiting. However, we were lucky enough to find two wonderful seats at the bar. We were greeted by a master bartender (Ian) who was accommodating and so informative. We started with the cheese board, so flavorful and plentiful perfect light starter. We are staying at the Village Hotel and enjoyed for breakfast before heading out on the Estate. The coffee was a great kickstart to a biscuit sandwich and crispy home fries that hit the spot. The omelet and pancakes looked amazing, so I have options for tomorrow. Helpful and friendly staff told us about the coffee bar options included in our hotel package. Relaxed, comfortable atmosphere with chairs in table and counter height. Not knowing the breakfast was included in our package, we had made a reservation for dinner, and it was just as tasty! The menu in the elevator made our mouths water, but you have likely never had cornbread this good. It was so smooth and just a little sweet made with Estate corn, like so many other local ingredients. I had the trout over "Appalachian kilt" of greens, two in our party had melt-in-your-mouth pot roast, and the fourth had the meatloaf with a divine Carolina Gold barbecue sauce. Naturally, we had to sample dessert: coconut cake with strawberry sauce, walnut cheesecake, and berry cobbler. The ordered two appetizers: fried pickles and pimento cheese. They had gluten free crackers, which as a nice option. I had a spiced pear salad, and my husband had the sliders with gluten free bread. My reasons for four stars were that the prices were quite high for the portion sizes, and the waiter made a mistake with our order and mistakes on our bill that needed to be corrected. read more

The food is superb, especially the beef stew! Breakfast and brunch are perfect for gatherings with friends, as the tables are close so people tend to talk with their neighbors. Same with dinners. We tend to go there on special occasions. Last time, the two tables on either side of us were both chatting with us, and all three tables were loving the connections! Out of convenience, my family and I had about three meals at Village Social. That being said, I realize how lucky we were to have this easily-accessible option on the Biltmore grounds. A great meal at a beautiful hotel. We tried a variety of the appetizers and drinks. The restaurant was very comfortable and cozy, not pretentious but still nicely furnished. What an unexpected treat!! We came to Antler Village on Biltmore Estate a little too early, since our house self guided tour was at 11:45. We probably could have seen the Gardens at this time but didn't really understand the magnitude of the Biltmore Estate. Nonetheless, nothing in the Village was opened before 10:30/11 am so we meandered and found the Village Social restaurant closer to the hotel side of Antler Village. And we were SO happy! Food: GREAT QUALITY INGREDIENTS!!! Literally everything tasted SO good and it was 100% due to the ingredients used. You can tell that everything was super fresh! The biscuit was the highlight for my husband with his breakfast sandwich. I also really loved the quality of the eggs and pork sausage from the Social Breakfast entree. The potatoes also were crisp and soft as the same time. True perfection. My husband got the coffee drink with Buffalo Trace's bourbon cream and it was very tasty (and generous). I got a mimosa which was a perfect way to start the day! Service was friendly, accommodating and attentive. We have an annual membership at the Biltmore estate so we get a discount when eating at any of the restaurants. Due to recent hurricane damage, staff are not available to enable the reopening of all estate restaurants but this one has reopened. After free wine tasting at the estate winery we tried to get reservations online for dinner but nothing was available. We decided to show up in person and sure enough they found us a table! The food was great, and the service was excellent. By the way, before dinner, we had toured the estate by car and walked a couple of miles on one trail and can say they have removed almost all evidence of the devastating storm. read more

Located in Antler Village by the winery side, this restaurant is quiet and relaxing with some good eats. We came for late lunch and were greeted and seated by friendly staff. I rarely get to see She Crab soup/bisque so I had to order it, along with loaded French fries, Appalachian bean soup for my husband, half puns burger for my father in law and the crudité for my mother in law. The biscuit was okay but was very flaky to the point of maybe being stale. It was hard to hold and butter let alone eat. Grits are supposed to be creamy and hold some type of flavor - these were not creamy, bland and was like eating a pile of paint chips in a liquid form. i am extremely disappointed. I called and scheduled a reservation for 9 for a bachelorette party, the host i spoke to said they do something for it. We arrived a little late but they got us seated quickly. The service was absolutely terrible! They were not busy at all Haylee was so inattentive and just flat out missing. When our apps came she never asked us how it was. When our dinner plates came all of the app plates were still on the table. She never checked to ensure the food was good, my beans were freezing under my trout. She cane to the table literally 5 times the whole 2 hrs we were there. one of those times was to bring the check. I ordered: - Yogurt & Berries ($8+) - 2 Eggs, Scrambled ($6+) - Sausage ($5+) - Toast, White ($2+) - Hot Tea ($4+) In total, this would have been $25+. After touring the Biltmore's Estate, we drove to the Village and stopped at the first restaurant we could find since we were all starving! Village Social is what we came across. The aesthetic seems to be outdated but once we realized it was inside of a hotel, it made sense. The alcohol menu is quite extensive and ridiculous. For example, $29 for an old fashioned and $17 for a glass of wine that you can buy the entire bottle of for $22 less than five feet away at the Winery. Need I say more? Would recommend just going to the Winery for a complimentary wine tasting across the sidewalk and then purchasing a bottle and drinking it elsewhere/outside at the public seating areas. You can save your money on a hefty bar tab and have an experience--win, win. The food menu was a bit bare. Didn't seem to have a concise theme other than being mediocre and overpriced. After booking our Biltmore house tour, we knew we wanted to eat on site so I turned to Yelp and found Village Social as the highest rated restaurant on site at The Biltmore. The restaurant is in the Village hotel and about a 10-15 min ride from the Estate parking lot (A). We had an estate tour starting at 10:45 and just made it to our 12:15 reservation. It was a beautiful day so we were offered the choice of sitting outside (which we took) and our choice of table in the shade or the sun. One of the waitresses even offered to turn the outdoor fan on for us during the meal. We were greeted at our table quickly to order drinks and service throughout the meal was extremely fast. I had the Rose' sangria- which uses the estate dry rose and was delicious (perfect for a warm day) and my husband had the blueberry mojito which he also enjoyed. There were several other drinks on the menu I would have tried, but we knew we'd be doing a wine tasting after lunch. For lunch I had the Artisan greens salad with shrimp. When it came out it seemed on the small side, but wound up being the perfect size for lunch. Plenty of goat cheese and the dressing was really good. After several hours of walking the Biltmore Estate I was starving. I checked the menu at the cafe outside of the estate but nothing jumped out at me. So I decided to check out the restaurants by the Biltmore Winery. The Village Social menu was more my speed. I was seated in less than five minutes after arrival which was great as I had a winery tour reservation in 45 minutes. I started off with the she crab bisque. It was a rainy and chilly day and I needed something to warm me up. And wow, it did the trick! The soup was creamy but not overly heavy with lots of lump crab meat. And it was served within less than five minutes of placing my order. I liked dipping the garlic bread into the soup....yummy! I ordered the chicken salad sandwich as the main course and the cauliflower ginger slaw as the side. The chicken salad was delicious and was topped with roasted red peppers. The chicken salad was chopped into small pieces which is the way I like it. If you like chicken salad you should try this sandwich. The cauliflower ginger slaw was a unique and delicious side. I chose it because I love cauliflower. I'm sure there was some broccoli in it too, which I don't like it, but because it was chopped so finely I didn't care.
