I have tried other churrascaria restaurants here in the DFW area (Boi-Na-Braza, Texas de Brazil, Master Grill), and nothing compares to the wonderful experience of the Villas Grill. The service is great, associates on top of plate service, cleaning the salad bar, and taking note of the meats you liked for another trip later on. DO NOT FORGET TO SAVE A BITE FOR THE PINEAPPLE! I found that the garlic sirloin was the best. It even beat the filet with bacon. Two types of beans were served (black, and red), plantains, yucca, polenta (little dry, but it was ok), and the rolls. The rolls were stuffed with fresh cheese. Next time I will try the espresso. They also serve a lunch for $9.00 four types of meat, but did not ask about the sides. Salad bar was descent. I liked the steamed broccoli with the thousand island dressing. Interesting twist. Robert has been at this establishment in Old Historic Irving for two years. I think he would like to get some ideas of an anniversary party. They are not opposed to you bringing your own beverage. Check out the old pictures of downtown Irving on the walls. Went there today with my colleague as her car was in the shop, and we had about 1.5hr to kill for lunch. Was driving around and found this hamburger place across the street, but as we drove by, I remember this place from couple years ago. At the time, we came here as a group from work and had a good time. Anyway, decided to give this place a 2nd try. Walked in and there were only 3 other tables. We were quickly greeted and sat down. To begin, I made a round of the salad bar. It was the typical, but they did have potato salad, which is one of my favorite. They also have a table on the side with the side dishes, such as fried plantain, cheese bread, vege, etc. I liked the mashed potato topped off with the beef stew, which was very tender. As I was finishing the plate, I had turn the little round sign from Red to Green for them to start serving the meat. Let the feast begin as I had little of everything. They were all good, with the exception of the pork. That one for whatever reason was not as tender with fat and tendon, so it was a bit chewy. Overall, everything tasted good and the service was great. Again, the only 2 exception I can think of is the grilled pork. I believe it's the choice of meat or cut that was used. And even though our waiter kept coming back and check on us, but he failed to refill my colleague's lemonade. By the time we were ready to go, it was completely empty. read more

Update: Went here again, close to closing time with my girlfriend and a friend. We were literally the only ones in the restaurant. I thought we were gonna be treated bad or hastily, given that the restaurant was less than an hour from closing, but god i was so wrong. The waitress was extremely friendly and nice and the "meat bringers" were so friendly and literally offered us entire cuts of meat, ENTIRE!!! Not the "slices" you get in churrasquerias. They even offered to bake more bread! They pushed the dessert options and they brought a slice of flan, literally personally decorated and presented for just us! When they brought the check, I don't know if they made a mistake or gave us a closing discount, but the price for each person was like $16.00. Their regular price is like $27, so yeah, t was the sweetest deal ever. There is a lunch special on the restaurant for like $15, but we went on a Sunday like around 5pm... so maybe we got that price? Cute, quaint little Brazilian restaurant in the heart of Irving! The staff is very welcoming and attentive. I dined with about 9 other people during their lunch hour. We had a Party of 12 for a baby shower we celebrated. The food was great! Service was good enough, did not have any complaints. We all had a great time! later that day my stomach was feeling upset, i felt like i was going to throw up, i did get bad diarrhea, so did my roommate. Today I get to work and everyone felt the same way, 3 employees didn't show up to work and the rest of us are here working feeling stomach sick. I don't know what caused it, i'm sure it was a meat but we can't tell which one it was. They need to make sure there is no cross contamination with the meats or any expiration, or whatever the issue may have been. Good food but be careful what you eat. read more

Like all the other Brazilian steakhouses they never disappoint! I recently went there and they now have the banana's to help clean your palate. The staff is super friendly and greatest cut of them all is definitely the pineapple make sure you ask for this ! Its not as fancy as other Brazilian steakhouses inside and does not have a super elaborate salad bar as well but the cost compared to the others definitely makes it well worth it. Only complaint would be the knifes I wish they were sharper. I feel like some are quite dull. read more

I am one who loves a good Brazilian steakhouse but sadly I was disappointed with this one. First off their salad area was very limited. There wasn't much options of variety except for the dessert area which had flan, rice pudding, some yam dessert and a coconut dessert. The meats were decent. My favorite was the spicy beef and the house special. The rest were okay. Not enough to rave about them or remember them too much. Which really made me sadden was the service. The whole time at dinner we felt very rushed. Usually we like to eat some, talk and slow down and then eat again but they kept rushing us and pushing us out the door. The kept asking us for the pineapple which is their final dessert option which is my favorite of all times. We got the check when we said we wanted to wait for the pineapple. Who wants their dessert on the same plate as the meat? Not I. After they dropped off the check, we were in conversation and they came over and asked if it was ready which it obviously wasn't. We were still eating dessert! My frustration was too much for this place. There are better places in irving to go eat with way better service! read more

The Villas Grill lunch experience made me feel wobbly and terrible, but also happy and very much alive (if only by virtue of the fact that you feel most alive when you're close to death). I would like to say that I'll be back, but i don't think my body could handle another internal excoriation. However. No doubt the iron-stomached among you will take this as a challenge. And I say go for it! If you can avoid the experience of wiping out in the parking lot, before you make it back to your car, you will find that: The meats are well-cooked-- not particularly mind-blowing, or necessarily 'Brazilian', but definitely solid-- prepared to the exact temperature and degree of doneness that brings out the full flavor of the cut. The rump roast was my favorite- (so good that I might've eaten an entire hind section of cow) prepared perfectly medium-rare, with crispy grilled edges full of juice & blood & spice. There are not many choices at lunch (we had chicken, sirloin, rump roast, pork and sausage) but it's barely noticeable by your eighth slice of steak & third chicken breast. Meat will not be withheld until you're about to pass out. To me though, the piece de resistance was the orgiastic & authentic Brazilian "salad" bar which was compartmentalized into like... 3% veg and 97% deep-fry. And of the 3% of vegetables, 2% of it was also deep-fried. Which is how it should be. :) Beyond the PTSD of "what happened after lunch", my memory recalls the savory joys of oddly delicious fried whitefish, deep fried sugared bananas, fried cauliflower, pão de queijo (warm cheese bread), crispy hot fried polenta, black beans over rice, caramel flan (very, very yum), pork empanadas, marinated tomato salad with chickpeas and cucumbers, and fried yucca. Nommmmm. Bottom Line: I would highly recommend this place for those who are looking to raise their cholesterol levels for the low price of $12. read more

But once we got service and the food started coming I was very please. The meats were not perfect but still very very good. And the natural fruit drinks very nice! We role up expecting a scene like Texas De brazil or Rafain, however this place is much quainter than either of these chains. The small atmosphere is wondeful and the staff is SUPER nice. We had reservations and were seated quickly. BYOB makes this place, the salad bar is a litle small, good but no smoked salmon which i love. However that is easily made up for in my mind by the byob policy. The meat distribution is very very good. They lacked a few things the bigger places had, namely filet mignon, but everything else was awesome. I do like meat, and I do like churrascarias, but I don't like them enough to justify paying $50 per person, which I've done on numerous occasions at Texas de Brazil and Fogo de Chao, until I was finally lead into the right light that is Villas Grill. Although Villas Grill offers less cuts of meats and a smaller salad bar than its competitors, it packs the dinner at less than half the price! And for $20 for dinner, I don't feel bad if I leave the restaurant eating only a few slices of meat. At the other places, I would wear elastic pants and stuff my face just to get more bang for my bucks. Most times, I just end up hanging around the salad bar anyway. The parmesan-crusted pork at Villas Grill is my favorite, and I barely give the waiter enough time to place the cut of meat on my plate before I gnaw it away from the tongs. The cinnamon pineapple is a great accompaniment to any of the meats, but leave room as the desserts are definitely worthy of your time. Try the flan at least. The service is great here. The last time I was there, the hostess/owner(?) overheard that it was my dad's birthday and brought out a beautiful slice of key lime cheesecake for him. The place is very very small and if there is a party of 10 people or more you'll most definitely be waiting for a table. No with that out of the way let's talk about the restaurant. It's worth waiting if no table is available right away. The price and quality of the food make it worth the wait. Plus it's BYOB!! Like previous people have written, the time it takes for the meat to come around can be slow at times. The salad bar is small, but it's very very good for what your paying for!! Everything on it's fresh and seems to be made that day. It's not like your dining at golden coral. The price is pretty much $21 a person. Service is good but if they are slammed then it will be slow at times. The owner goes around and makes sure you are happy more than once. It being BYOB, the quality of the food, and the price is why I give it 5 STARS! If I was paying $40-$50 a person I would expect excellent-flawless service. I'm paying $21 and I'm eating as good as Texas de Brazil or Fogo de Chao and your BYOB! If anyone gives this place less than 4 STARS they aren't looking at this place for what it is. I found this gem using Yelp and man is it good! We decided to go there for lunch and have been back 4 times for lunch and twice for dinner! Lunch: Lunch service is good and the only difference from dinner service is the cheese rolls are only served at dinner. 16 bucks you get unlimited meat and access to there salad bar and sides. The salad bar is okay offering a couple premade salads and a make your own option. The sides are the biggest disappointment, though you don't go to a churrascaria for the sides. The meat is to die for! Chicken Legs, Sausage, Pork Tenderloin, Top and Bottom Sirloin and the Brazilian cut I can not spell. All are very flavorful and tender. Once you are done the grilled pineapple comes around to finish the meal off. Dinner: Dinner service is almost the same but they serve the cheese rolls that are so awesome. They do not serve alcohol but allow you bring your own for a nominal corkage fee ($5). Dinner itself is $21 which is really not bad. Overall great food and an excellent value. read more

This is my first Churascaria experience and it was fantastic. Its great if you dont want to spend more than twice as much in Addison. They had about 5 cuts of meet for a weekday lunch. ( was not crowded at all) Chicken - Fantastic.. it was just amazingly tender Parmesan Pork : A little disappointing .. a little dry and tough Top Sirloin : Good Beef Sausage : Good Picanha : Mind Blowing They only came by with the Picanha once, until we asked for it again. I have never had such good meet .. ever. I skipped the salad bar. It looked nice but not great. Great experience and awesome food. The waitress was very nice and attentive even though she was the only waitress in the restaurant. The meat server was "Johnny on the spot", he was always their cutting up or serving us. This restaurant is very efficient and awesome job with customer service. The grilled meats were very tender and succulent; salads were very tasty and fresh; can not say enough good adjectives for the desserts, especially the flan, fried banana, and grilled pineapple. Overall my family and I had a great time and made our visit in Dallas an experience to remember. I wish we had something like this in Memphis. We have Texas de Brazil but we have to pay an arm and a leg. We only paid UNDER $20.00 per person for DINNER. read more
