    Vindictive fries

So glad I found this place on a whim. Was craving some wings and it was right by our hotel with good ratings. We went by and saw the vibe so decided to give it a change. We sat in a booth, the inside was so cool, clean and the server was so chill. We knew we're going to order fries and wings. The only qualm I had was with the loaded wings was that they stayed "blue cheese" not blue cheese dressing or sauce. We were expecting crumbles or something along that nature. The melted cheese and blue cheese sauce made it very wet and hard eat... you had to dig... don't get me wrong it was still good. Just misleading. The wings were good they do tell you that it's going to be a wait and they are small. And they are. So don't be surprised, make sure you order more or you will be hungry. I would go back! It was fun And the wings were yummy!

OMG I spoke with one of the owner homies the last time I was here about how I LOVE their nugs and he told me they were working on adding them to the full time menu, as well as their own version of a mashed potato famous bowl.. now I'm back and they have delivered on both of those ideas!! I will be back even more often. I also love ordering their well tequila and a hazy IPA while I'm waiting for their amazing food. Great music and fun trivia nights and funny things on the TV with a great bar? Whenever I have a man date with my homies I take them here lmao

Hit or miss service. Great wing Wednesday deal and happy hour but after our second visit here we decided the vibes were not it. Wings are good, drinks are good, service can be rude and obviously they don't want you there. Host especially seemed like he was telling everyone longer wait times to get them to leave and go elsewhere. The vibes were negative and off. Some good music and a cool Christmas themed bathroom. Just not a place we see ourselves wanting to return to or support. Being treated poorly as a customer is never fun.

You've likely heard the folklore of Vindicktive and their tough guy stance on all-things-wings. No ranch, no crying, no talking smack on Buffalo sports, etc. This may seem like a hardo take on this humble food, but you have to love a restaurant that cares that much about what they're putting out into the world. Seattle has been known as a WEAK wing town, so I appreciate the specialization going on here. Maybe it will push others to step up their wing game. This place has a very cool grunge feel which fits right in over in Belltown. I know the owners are from NY, but I respect that they're also giving the spot a Seattle feel. We sat upstairs in the ULTRA grungy "arcade" area (just like 3 pinball machines that I didn't see a single person use, mostly decor I assume). The menu is incredibly simple which is what you want from a place like this. Some wings, some (not) wings, and some other drunk munchies. I got a 12 piece standard buffalo. I'm into spicy food, but I assumed that the hot buffalo would be outrageous at a wing place that takes themselves seriously. I must have been right because the standard was fairly hot in its own right. These wings are thoroughly deep fried. If you're into big and meaty bois, this is not the joint for you. But if you're into a nice crispy texture, and a STRONG flavor (that's me) you will love these wings. I thoroughly enjoyed the flavor of the blue cheese as well, and the texture is intriguing since it's far more chunky than the average. My only gripe is that it inhibits true dipability of the wings. Because the sauce container is so shallow, you can't fully engulf a wing inside of its tender embrace. This is an issue for me because I am a mf'in sauce boy. I suppose they want people to respect the wing for what it is, but many of us like to get truly lost in that sauce when it's wing time. I'd recommend getting another serving of it if you get 12 wings. Serving two celery sticks is also a hilarious thing to do. Maybe it's an homage to what they do in NY, but I have never understood the whole vegetables on the side of wings thing anyways. Just give me the wings and I'll be fine. I will for sure be back soon to try more flavors. Major props to Vindicktive and what they're doing for Seattle.

got to this spot on one of their Wing Wednesdays, which was a discounted day with 99 cent wings The only options available on this day were Lemon Pepper Wet, Buffalo Medium, and their flavor of the day, which in this case was Thai Green Curry Note that a drink purchase is required to take advantage of this price It was pretty packed when we got there - so it took around 30 minutes to get a small table I was able to try each flavor of wing the one i liked the best was the lemon pepper. despite the flavor name being wet, this was the only flavor that had an actually crispy skin on the outside. i could definitely taste the lemon & pepper as well, making for a nice experience The buffalo wings were fine - but the issue was they were completely drenched in sauce, to the point where it was leaking over to the other flavor of wings. this much sauce was just unnecessary. the only thing these wings tasted like was your traditional buffalo sauce, and it overpowered the chicken completely. not a fan of these the thai green curry was alright - definitely tasted like green curry, but a bit too much sauce as well for my overall impressions - these wings were pretty small. i get that for 99 cent wings, they can't be too large, but I can't say these were very meaty at all. on the positive side, the quality of the chicken was quite good, and the blue cheese was nice as well I would say 12 wings is pretty filling, and getting them for $12 is a decent deal. the problem is the drink purchase inflates the price a bit

Lives up to the hype! Wings were cooked deliciously and the bleu cheese was decadent and a perfect match. Prices not terrible. Excellent vibe, everyone's having a good time here. Cold beers. Almost always a wait, but tables seem to turn over pretty quick.

Tracked down this place while looking for the Cavs/Knicks game. The beer selection was good and the wings were the best I had in a while. The flabby chicken skin did not exist here and they were fried to my preference. Tried regular buffalo but they let me try some hot Buffalo which was . Great bar atmosphere and everyone was attentive and helpful. Hope I find someplace like this In Chicago

Got to try the wings from vindictive wings for the first time. There is no designated parking - only street parking, Ambiance is a dive bar type of feel with loud music and tvs everywhere. Service was fast and convenient. Did not have to wait long for food to come out. I ordered the naked Mississippi dry, the Lemon pepper wet, and the Buffalo sauce. Out of the 3 flavors, the lemon pepper wet was by far my fav, then the Buffalo and lastly the naked seasoning. The wet wings are very favorable and saucy. Didn't like the Mississippi dry as the wings were extra crispy and dry. The table also got a wedge salad. I also ordered a side of shoestring fries.

Vindictive Wings won best wing in Seattle in 2024. Of course I had to try this spot and see if it lived up to the hype. We went with a group of friends and it was a split decision. First off the service was good and we found a table pretty quickly. It has a dive bar feel with arcade games up stairs. Standard bar. But we came for the wings. We ordered the buffalo, lemon pepper, Mississippi dry rub, and the spicy miso parm plus some buffalo cauliflower. The buffalo sauce was my favorite and second was the spicy miso parm. I like my wings saucy. Half the table loved the dry rub Mississippi wings. This place also doesn't serve ranch, it's a blue cheese place. I like blue cheese but some of my friends didn't. That was a hard one to swallow. The wings were flavorful, cooked decent, not too small and not too big but overall they were just "okay". They are good wings but I was expecting more of a "best wing in 2024" in Seattle. Overall we agreed that these wings decent. A solid wing, but I don't feel lived up to the hype.

Great wings, spacious interior. We came on trivia night by accident but ended up enjoying the guy running the trivia and stayed. The only thing stopping me from 5 stars is their soda definitely comes from a bar gun, and I wish they would say that when you order. Other NA drink options are too frilly, I'd love just a regular diet soda or unsweetened tea.

I walked in and this place was really nice and chill. I hear on weekends that it is like the place to be. The music keep your head bobbing. The honey BBQ off the chain it's got a little heat to it but I'm from Texas and I can handle it. Buffalo wings are so good spicy got my hair sweating. Lemon pepper wet, not like any other lemon pepper ever tasted. The cray was different not bad but different. The other dipping sauce the blue cheese and ranch with mixed different sauce it's crazy good. I will be back

Its a bar with hot wings... what more can you say? We came here on a wednesday so the value was actually pretty great at 99c per wing. Flavours were solid, we tried all three they had at the time, buffalo, lemon pepper and Sriracha honey. Star of the show was the Sriracha and lemon pepper. The ambiance is lively with a barcade upstairs. Now, the biggest pro of all however was the staff! Everyone was super friendly and helpful.

    Michelle Z.

Came here for the Wednesday $.99 wings deal. We did have to wait for like 40 minutes to get a table which is pretty long time just for some wings. When we got seated the service also took a long time. You do have to order a drink for the wings deal and I got a soda and that shit was the flattest soda I have ever had in my life. I don't know how they're diluting it or making it. We got the cauliflower bites which I think is a pass but my friends enjoyed it and of course we got a total of 32 wings in their special flavor of the week, honey Sriracha and lemon pepper. We thought the wings were really good but not worth the 40 minute wait. I didn't think it would be a fun place to come with friends if you have a lot of time though .

Time without number I've found myself here, be that first dates, my birthday, or New Year's Eve, and it always feels like home. The bar tenders here are cool and friendly people who pour drinks with a heavy hand, and understand the mission: get the patrons who want to be drunk, drunk. The first few times I visited, I felt a leeriness about ordering food. But once I got over myself, I kinda fell in love with the menu, and I've probably eaten everything on it (including the clam chowder). Their hot dogs are wonders to behold, utter symphonies for the senses, and I refuse to visit Shorty's without getting one. Best dog in Seattle? Why yes. I think so. To paraphrase one reviewer: "Take your date here. If she doesn't like it, she's lame and you shouldn't waste your time with her anyways." Shorty's is the bomb.

That's not something paying customers want to hear. I ended up ordering a drink for myself while the guys were looking at the menu because they were doing a food hop, and us girls were doing a bar hop. During that time, the bartender came back to our table at least four times within about five minutes. Instead of being attentive, it felt pushy and aggressive, especially since they were still deciding what they wanted. I've been here a few times before, but after this experience, this will definitely be my last visit.

Whilst I liked the restaurant vibes, the place where we were seated was so hot with absolutely no ventilation making it a bit uncomfortable for a Seattle summer. There are fans placed throughout the rest of the restaurants, but in the subsection where we were placed, I don't believe that was an option. Another thing that was disappointing is the menu is deceptive in saying that dishes can be made gluten free, vegan, vegetarian, etc, but that's actually not true. The salads, soups, curries, and Pad Thai all have fish sauce / oyster sauce in them which is not vegetarian. I ended up requesting for vegan dishes instead and I could only order noodles which made sharing with my non-vegetarian friends quite difficult.
