My favorite is the garlic, but their original crispy fried chicken is also a staple. The honey butter/cheddar flavor is pretty good, but not a favorite. Same with the yangnyum, which makes the batter get soggy. The to-go ordering is easy. Call in your order, pick up in 20ish minutes, and eat delicious, crispy chicken at home. Kids had high praise for both the crispy fries and crispy chicken. The yangneoum sauce went really well with the crispy chicken. Kids were not fans of the Garlic or padak sauce so we won't get them next time. I ordered online through their website and got a half order of crispy fried chicken, half medium and half spicy with sauces on the side. You can choose to get all wings, drums, or a combo of the two - I went with a combo for $1 more! I added on a side of fries, extra crispy. Each order comes with pickled daikon and coleslaw too. Upon arriving, my order was ready on a table that said 'online orders' for super easy pickup. I appreciated that they packaged everything so well! The boxes were left slightly open, so the food didn't get soggy, and they included utensils - big plus for me since I'm usually eating in my car nowadays. The chicken was so crunchy and delicious on its own!! The medium sauce was quite sweet, and the spicy sauce had a nice kick but wasn't too spicy at all. Having the two was perfect, plus getting them on the side means you don't have to worry about them getting soggy! The fries were crunchy too, albeit not seasoned very well. The workers here are nice and friendly she even told us about the discount they are have if you order online. Use the code Love15. The chicken here is packed with flavor, juicy, and delicious. You can choose to order to be made from the oven or fried. My wife and I got the cheedar boneless 10 pieces. I tried one of my best friends soy crispy fried chicken and it was delicious. This was my first time trying out this popular Korea-based chicken spot​. I got the Crispy Yangnyum Chicken. The positive? The pieces were definitely pretty hefty and they were crispy. Also, the mild sauce had a good kick. However, I wasn't at all a fan of the smell from the sauce. I was even less happy with the half-inch​ of sauce that sat at the bottom of the box. It did nothing but make all the pieces on the bottom soggy over time. Ok, maybe I should've ordered differently. Here's what really left me feeling like this was a 2-star experience though...I opted for "wings only" for $1.00 more. When I got in the car, I realized my box contained wings and drumsticks. I went back inside with my uneaten box. The owner said he could re-make it or give me a $2.00 refund. I couldn't wait another 15 minutes for a re-do, so I opted for the $2.00 refund instead. No worries. BUT, then the owner proceeded to take my box, turn around and show it to the workers behind the kitchen, while obviously asking about the mistake they made with my order. In the process, of holding the box, his ungloved fingers were all over the insides of my box, touching the edges of my chicken. Gloved or ungloved, this is gross. PLUS, he was doing this all while juggling a partially eaten chicken he had been nibbling on in his other hand!! Seriously gross on any day, but now with COIVD-19?!?!! EWW! And this was the owner doing this! Makes me wonder how he trains his employees. He was nice enough, but this is not OK, and worse, I don't think he was even aware that what he was doing was so yucky. Already running behind for a meeting, I took my​ box, ate a couple of pieces from the center,​ and tossed the rest. A tiny piece of metal was embedded in the batter of the fried chicken. I honestly would not have noticed if if it did not reflect under a lightbulb as it was almost shaped like one of those very thinly sliced green onion garnish/topping. Our first time trying Von's chicken and it was great. A definite keeper. The crunchy fried chicken (with medium spicy special sauce on the side) was superb - nice and crunchy outside, juicy inside with great overall flavor. Dipping into the sauce only made it better. Medium spicy wasn't too spicy and had a bit of sweetness thrown in. We also tried the oven roasted chicken. It was also very good. Tried 2 different Vons in San Jose and the other in Santa Clara and 1 Bonchon. Don't ask me why but I love me some KFC (Korean Fried Chicken) Vons is good but I think I prefer Bonchon's just a little better. Bc's is a smoother, batter-fried chicken where Vons is more of a flour-dredged fry making their crust crispy and flakey. With a more flakey crust I felt the Vons wings got soggy faster once we tossed them in their soy-garlic sauce so good thing they gave it to us on the side. Don't get me wrong Vons is still hella good but just a texture thing for me. I need that crunch. One thing that Vons does offer that Bc's does not is some tasty japchae. A little pricey for the amount you get but then again the wings aint cheap either.
