10 out of 10. These donuts are so ridiculous. Oversized, unapologetically sugary, and completely extra in every way...yet somehow EXACTLY what the doctor ordered. I'm usually a "simple glazed (or apple fritter) from a regular donut shop" type of girl, but VooDoo is where I go to when I'm with friends and we're feeling extra dramatic about dessert. Sugar with a side of chaos excites me. We ordered a nice spread: Bacon Maple Bar, Old Dirty Bastard, Apple Fritter, Blueberry Cake, Portland Cream, Strawberry Shortcake, Oh Captain My Captain, and a few more that basically stared us in the face and dared us. Every donut is oversized and huge. Sharing is your only option...there is no other way. The flavor combinations, though over the top, actually work together and it always surprises me somehow. It looks like random sugary trash thrown together, but nope. There is a method to the madness. Nothing TASTES like it's thrown together for shock value although it LOOKS like it is. The toppings, fillings, etc. all complement each other. These aren't just offensive photo opp donuts for the 'Gram. They're legitimately good. That being said, you can't eat this shit everyday. These are special occasion donuts. Split with friends. Share on date night. I tried to hate you, VooDoo. But I love you. And I hate that I love you.

My fiancé wanted me to try these donuts so I tried one. Then came back a week later, then the week after. I dream about the churro cheesecake donut often. I'm not a sweets guy despite my circle shaped body, but it's the one sweet tooth treat I crave often. I hope they never get rid of it if not you will find outside with a protest sign calling for the comeback of the churro cheesecake donut. I wish nothing but the best for the baker(s) back there making them. Hope they know they're my ride or die.

I remember the first time I got Voodoo Donuts in Portland, OR. It was maybe my first vegan donut ever, and needless to say, it left a big impression. I'm happy to report that while I've had many, many more vegan donuts since, Voodoo still stands up to scrutiny, even after launching in dozens of different locations nationwide. This particular outpost is a genuinely fun spot to hang out in, with indoor and outdoor seating, and pinball machines for the kids. Plenty of parking around back, too. Word to the wise: If you have your heart set on a particular flavor, come early, and give them a call in advance just to make sure. This is especially true of the vegan options which are further limited. That said, when I was told there weren't any of my chosen flavor available, they offered to prep on for me fresh if I could wait 5 minutes. Hell yeah! Now that's sweet customer service.

Voodoo Donuts - iconic in brand. Savory decadence of sugar and carbs, and their operation of hours are quite a hefty duty of supporting your donut cravings, whenever they arise! I popped in after dinner with hubs and we got a good assortment of donuts, rotating in their display, and I was delighted with my choices. The staff were friendly and helpful, and coming in later in the afternoon there was no rush or line, so we could take our time. Parking is great too on burnet so we could get in and out and we love the vibes and seating! All in all, donut lover, yes you should come here and enjoy!

It seems I am having a Mandela effect moment about what I have believed was the first time I discovered voodoo donuts existed. In my memory, it was a magazine article, but I don't remember reading magazines after high school. Voodoo donuts was not established until 2003, and I graduated high school in 1997. I know that Portland, Oregon has been on my list of places to travel for a long time primarily because of this memory, voodoo donuts and the way that I learned they had magical donuts covered in cookies and cereal, which was the thing that didn't exist in the 90s or early 2000s not New York not then. I didn't realize Austin had Voodoo donuts and was SO EXCITED!! unfortunately the strawberry go tart I wanted was sold out. I selected a jelly donut type instead and the cereal one. I am so glad I finally had a chance to try them. It's definitely worth it if where you are visiting from doesn't have anything like, plus I believe they are the trailblazers !!! It was a Saturday afternoon this location was pretty quiet. They also sell merch and there's a window to watch someone frosting the donuts and stuff. Service was efficient and professional.

I mainly came here for their photo booth but quickly found out they moved it to a different location. Boo! The lady who was working the front was friendly. I ordered some of their cute Halloween donuts, all of them tasted fresh and were a hit back home. Friendly environment perfect for donut lovers. I took one star for the photo booth not being there, and putting a pinball machine in its place.

Voodoo Doughnut (VD) does have that doughnut magic! This was the first time I tried VD and was pleasantly surprised. First, the building is eye -catching in bright pink. Half of their doughnuts are mutant large starting about $4.50+ each. There are so many choices I felt like a kid trying to decide on an ice cream flavor. The cashier was very helpful in helping me to discern between a yeast v cake doughnut. Ultimately, I decided on the butter fingering. Very unique doughnut...it tasted like cake inside and very crispy on the outside. The cake part of the doughnut was mildly sweet. The topping was super sweet...a delicate balance. I will definitely go back with friends and try one of the larger doughnuts.

If you have the sugar cravings of a pre-diabetic then this is your spot. We've had numerous donuts from here from the glazed to chocolate glazed to, well, you get the point. All the donuts are always perfect in texture and packed with toppings and flavor. It's definitely a great specialty donut spot. We got them delivered and they were still very fresh when they arrived. The only knock I would say is how messy they can be, but hey, they're donuts. We've been to both locations but we're specifically rating the Burnet Road location on delivery. The 6th Street location is just as good, but very very busy as you can imagine since it's on 6th. If you're on Burnet Road or 6th Street definitely give this place a try, it's a great way to eat yourself into morbid obesity.

Excellent donut! And so funny... So these donuts are BIG and the dough is fluffy and very delicious. Add to this the very imaginative toppings and fillings and you have a pastry experience, not just a "donut". This time we went to this new (to me) location that is super easy to reach and with a large parking lot. I can report that at 3 pm there was no line... just a steady stream of customers walking in for their sweet treat. First we got 2 donuts to eat inside (there are 3 small tables indoors and more outdoors but it was a very cold day so we chose to stay inside). We got one donut filled with Boston cream and one that had a peanut butter topping and was filled with a white banana tasting cream... the combo was unusually delicious! So we shared and got to taste an oldie but goodie and a new combo. I paid about $8 all in. Then we decided to take 6 donuts to a dinner we were going to attend, so we chose a whimsical assortment including a voodoo doll donut (lol) and that box was $24. They will Love It! Yummy one good experience: enjoy!

I had a wonderful experience picking up doughnuts for coworkers on a weekday morning. They are all so unique and fun! Online ordering & pickup experience was so easy and speedy. They even put my vegan doughnut separate from the rest :) I tried the vegan maple Boston cream donut and omg totally delicious. It was huge and a big sugar rush but so worth it! Highly recommend?

donuts were pretty good considering we went close to 9pm! it was pretty slow so service was quick

Stopped by for a sweet treats after hanging out at a nearby bar. It wasn't busy and we picked our flavors from the rotating pastry cabinet. I settled on a classic chocolate frosted. Upon receiving it, it had no hole and thought it was a boston creme, so I went back in to fix it. Turns out it was the chocolate frosted but without a hole. It was light and fluffy with a nice chocolate frosting as expected. They also have cake doughnuts and other specialties. There were some picnic tables outside to enjoy your treats.

It was my first time trying these donuts, and they were delicious and fluffy. The place was clean and smelled wonderful. There were a lot of flavor options, making it difficult to decide. The server was nice!

Tried the Son of a Peach with cream cheese icing, spiced peach filling, cake mix topping, cinnamon and sugar with honey butter. The audacity Story time, Today I went to the original Round Rock location, downtown Round Rock, to buy my son's birthday donuts, It's tradition. Every year on his birthday he gets a dozen half glazed and half chocolate frosted donuts. Then I get a kolache and a dozen donut holes for myself. Well when I pulled up today the line was wrapped around all the way to Mays street. So I just followed the line of cars and got in line. You'd think that a line that long would take a long time but.... Round Rock donuts has this process down to a T. It took less than 10 minutes to get through that line and get my order. And those donuts came out hot and fresh. So did my kolache. Anywho, Don't let the lines scare you away, Just jump in and know they're going to move quickly. Also, If you're planning an office event or any type of event and you want donuts and coffee or kolaches donuts and coffee, Round Rock donuts offers a great menu for large orders and also they have a cake menu for custom cake orders. If you don't want to stay in line in your car you can also park wherever you can find a spot and go to the walk-up ordering window, It's shaded and there's plenty of space to hang out while your order is being made and brought out to you. All this to say, It's a Round Rock Donut, Happy Birthday to my Son!

Why am I going to one in Austin? Well, it's because I am a completeist and I try to go to as many Voodoo Doughnut locations as I can. Austin has two locations but Steve was only willing to tolerate going to one location so we went here. The doughnuts are going to be about the same as any other location however I did come across one that I haven't seen before. I am not sure if it was limited edition or what but I liked it. It was kind of take on a Black Forest Cake but it wasn't cherries that were on top of the doughnut and cream. It was more like blueberries. It was good and I am glad I tried it! I was really hoping to see the Ring of Fire Doughnut as it's my favorite but I didn't see it here. I got more of a powdered doughnut too as I do like their more basic doughnuts too. Steve got something that almost was like a Dubai-esque Chocolate Doughnut. It had pistachios on it and was a chocolate cake. That one was good too! Atmosphere is weird and quirky like all of their locations try to be which I can appreciate. So if you are addicted to Voodoo Doughnuts or have been wanting to try them but don't plan any PNW trips then definitely swing by the Texas locations. More and more locations are popping up all of the time!

The Glazed Yeast (The Prime Donut)......... if a donut maker can't do glazed, you might as well forget about the rest. Fantastic. Perfect. The glaze that flakes though moist and a donut that slightly squishes, pops slightly back and has that perfect texture....... And yes Flavor! Perfect Glazed. Well done. A good size and not a weak donut. I did a fancy chocolate cake donut of the Butterfinger kind. A fantastic blend of a good chocolate cake and the touch of peanut from the crisp. A good combo of about 50/50 share of flavor. Focusing on the cake donut resulted in a favorable chocolate cake donut. Freshness is key. Lastly was a buttermilk bar. Good, just good. I know where to get great. You'll have to read my other donut posts to find out where. Just good. Glaze could improve and the complete cool through would be helpful. The dough was alright, not bad. Good ingredients and a nice flavor. On a level of poor, fair, good to great........ Good.

The building is colorful and decorated in bright pink with fun artwork and decor for an uplifting vibe. The line moved quickly and the service was friendly fast and efficient. I was able to place my order and pay with Apple Pay. I ordered the Taiyaki Sundae with black sesame and ube swirl soft serve served in a fish shaped mochi Belgian style waffle with Oreo dust on top. You can customize your sundae with filling like organic red sweet beans, Nutella or custard and toppings like Oreo dust, fruity pebbles or rainbow sprinkles. I ate this on site and the nutty black sesame balanced the sweet ube perfectly, and the Oreo topping added the best crunch. They had a variety of mochi donut flavors. Lucky for me, nothing was sold out today. I ordered the Oreo ube mochi donut and ube milk tea to-go. I ate the mochi donut later that day and it was probably my least favorite item from my order. It had the chewy mochi texture however I didn't get enough of the rich ube flavor. It had somewhat of a bitter aftertaste and the Oreo overpowered the ube. I drank the ube milk tea the next day and it was creamy, smooth, and not overly sweet. I really enjoyed the flavor profile of the beverage and would order it again. Overall, enjoyed my selections and will be back to try more dessert options and flavors from one of the most unique Asian dessert spots in Austin!
