Very shady!!! I came in to this location on 11/24/18 and my receipt says I was served by Alejandro R. Check #180, however it was a young lady who helped me at the register. I came in at 8:45pm and ordered a veggie bowl. I sat down and noticed I was given a bowl of cold veggies but no rice. I then went to the cashier and told her my bowl had no rice, to which she replied that the veggie bowl doesn't come with rice. I then told her it did, because I have ordered this before and it always comes with rice. So then she turned around and asked the cook and turned back to me and said "he says it doesn't come with rice". At this point a lady approached us, she was either a supervisor or manager and looked at the cashier for an explanation. The cashier then told her that I WANTED CHICKEN IN MY BOWL!! So yes she lied right in front of me!! I then told the woman that I wanted only the rice that always comes with the veggie bowl. She hesitated for a moment and then finally agreed to give me some rice. I know I came in close to closing time and for this reason I was not going to say anything about the cold veggies. But this was so rude. IF YOUR EMPLOYEES ARE GOING TO TREAT YOUR CUSTOMERS BAD CLOSE TO CLOSING TIME. MAYBE YOU SHOULD CHANGE YOUR CLOSING TIME TO 8:30PM. read more

Dont ever come to this location!!Wow where do I begin. First off, please waba grill hire people that speak and understand english, the cashier could barely take my order. Once finished telling them 3 times how I want my food it was still wrong, twice! Chicken tasted pre cooked then warmed up, tough meat. This is my second time ordering salmon plate with avocado and they forgot to put the avocado for me. So disappointed

This by far has been the worst location I have ever been to. Every single one of my visits (I gave them 3 strikes) was terrible. I contacted them through their website in hopes it would improve their service but only got compensated by a coupon and an apology with a promise that they would speak to management. So on my last visit, I was served raw Salmon (I took a picture and sent it directly to the manager, possibly the ceo, but never got a reply. After waiting 14 minutes and having to deal with snickering remarks in spanish between the female cashier and the male "cook" I received my salmon uncooked. I sadly ate a portion of the cooked side and left the rest on the tray, hoping they pick it up and notice they gave me uncooked salmon. I will not revisit this Waba Grill ever again, and will not recommend this location to anyone. Drive the extra miles and go to the west covina location, there you will get a smile and fully cooked food in a fast manor. By all means avoid this highschool drama fest and pick somewhere else. Good luck to the female cashiers, you shouldnt be hitting on every "attractive" male that walks in unless your producing good quality food. WaBa Grill is just about the same as Flame Broiler. So if you like Flame Broiler you should also like WaBa. It's a teriyaki bowl fast food joint with on an emphasis on being a bit of a healthier option than other fast food joints like it. The menu is very simple with combinations of chicken or beef that come with our without veggies. I come here about once every two months or so when my family needs a quick dinner and i don't have time to cook and want something that comes close to real food and isn't typical fast food. I've cine here now about a half dozen times and have always had a good experience. I find that the service is decent enough with the employees being pleasant and the food coming out quick. The price is a bit higher than other fast food places of the same type. read more

First and last time at this location we love waba but this place is absolutely disgusting and dirty from the floors to tables to the soda and sauce area. It's only 3 pm and the floors all look like they haven't been cleaned for a week! They have iced tea but only offer regular sugar no substitutes. Always been a huge fan of this place. Not because I'm a health nut or anything but because it's really good! It's always a plus when u can get something that not only is good but is on the healthier side. Usually if it good it's not healthy. O and BTW this place is definitely better than flame broiler!! This place is very good fast, healthy food. The dining area is always clean and staff are very friendly. Can't go wrong with the regular chicken bowl or salmon if you need a fix of fish. Make it healthier without sauce and add brown rice if you want (tastes good but not like when it's loaded with teriyaki, etc). I eat here at least two times a week. read more

usually a good experience. on 5/6 NOT SO MUCH. Sad to say the least. Food to go order was ordered correctly and read back correctly. Unfortunately, the order came home wrong. When I called to speak with the manager of the store, he was very rude and wouldn't come to any kind of resolution. He continued to be rude and I asked him for his manager name and #. He didn't know the name and gave me a wrong #. I found the # myself and left a VM for someone at corporate office. I've also submitted my displeasure via the internet through an e-mail to corporate. I've ate at this place many times now and I think I won't be coming back. Sometime the food is really good and well cook, but there are other times where the food is really gross to eat that I ended up throwing up and vowing not to come to this place any more. I've had the chicken bowl where the chicken was just plain cold and not even cook. It's like they just precook it and left it cooling for hours before they put it in the bowl. It was so gross. Then there were other times where I order something else and it tasted so sour and nasty that I wonder what they actually did to the meat to make it taste like crap. No more, There just way too many incident where the food is served horrible. I will not be coming to this place hoping they will cook it right, it should be right every time I come here. My sister told me about this place, mentioning it had good reviews on yelp. I usually go to Yoshinoya, but decided to come here. What a HUGE mistake I made. They had a 2 chicken bowls for $8 deal so I went with that. It was the two WORST chicken bowls I've ever had the DISPLEASURE of eating. The rice was STALE, OLD, AND DRY. The chicken was no different. It was extremely dry and was only slightly less dry than a piece of BEEF JERKY. Portion sizes are decent I suppose, but the quality of the food is HORRENDOUS. It appears as though they just picked up some old rice and chicken, microwaved it, and sold it to me for $4 a bowl. The sauce is not bad, but you can't do much to make something taste good when it is just old, stale, and dry. I think I'll come back and bring my sister to show her the SUFFERING she has caused me. They should have named this place waBAD grill. read more

It's a lot like flame broiler but not as tasty. I always order the chicken vege bowl and top it with some teriyaki sauce and hot sauce. You get to pick from siracha or Louisiana hot sauce. There wasn't much business when I came for lunch but the service is fast, the place is clean, the portions are large and the price is reasonable. I prefer golden bowl and flame broiler but this place is good if i'm in a rush. read more

This location is definitely more expensive. $7 for a chicken veggie bowl and I just paid $9.54 for a salmon veggie bowl. That's ridiculous!

If you want good food and customer service I highly recommend you don't come to this location. I came here for my lunch because I was craving it and my job is literally down the street so this was the closest location. Biggest mistake I made..place is filthy!!! floor looks like it hasn't been cleaned in weeks, the 2 female cashiers looked like they were miserable, and to top it off the lady who took my order had such a bad attitude when I had changed my order from a regular chicken bowl to a chicken veggie bowl. Rolled her eyes every time I would go ask for something (btw I only asked her something 2 times) one for a side of avocado and the other for a lid when I was leaving. both times she rolled her eyes at me and gave me this rude look because I was interrupting her "gossip session" with the other female cashier. This is my first yelp post, yes! this restaurant made me want to help it out on yelp so that it will stay in business. The food there taste amazing, the meat was so tender and tasty with no fat whatsoever on it. The teriyaki sauce is to die for and the portion size though not too much, is enough to fill you up. Im worried because the place is always deserted, and in my opinion, it opened up in the wrong spot meaning the population here might not be Japanese food fans. But overall, the place is ultra clean, and I can't wait to go back, they certainly got a regular customer in me. read more

The service was great and the food was delicious. It's hard to believe that the food is healthy considering how flavorful it is, but indeed no oil or skin and little salt is used! Definitely a healthy, but still tasty, alternative to Yoshinoya. Slightly pricy for a fast food chain, and that's keeping me from voting it 5-stars. Definitely a recommend. read more

I went in to order food for my family and the girl with the bleached yellow hair was rude and unfriendly.. I got a little confused with my order and she gave me attitude and didn't want to bothered... If you don't want to work or are having a bad day, don't come to work leave your problems at home ...
