Was here to pickup and order. While waiting, a woman walked up and said the order she was given was not correct. She had clearly touched the food to make sure and there was no lid on it. They just put the chicken back into the container with all other chicken and put the dirty rice, back into the rice cooker! I was in disbelief, seeing as any food establishment I've been to, tells you to either throw the food away or keep it if you've been given the wrong order as it isn't sanitary to keep it and give it to someone else. The place was remodeled and we were excited to go back after it was closed for awhile. Very disappointing experience - this was about a month ago. - we ordered 2 signature house salads to go - on the menu it says white meat chicken and it always has been white meat on tat every waba I've visited 2) received no dressing with the salads in our bag 3) chicken was fatty dark meat. I was wondering if they changed it on the menu since the reopening 4) I called the store to provide feedback and ask about the salad being white meat. 5) there is no option on the phone to speak to someone. The only option is to place and order press 2 or go to the website. It just repeated so I dialed 0 and that didn't work so I dialed 2 6) someone answered and didn't say anything for several seconds and it sounded like they picked it up and put it on hold a few times. Then they said "hello?" 7) I asked it this was Waba Grill and they replied yes. Awkward. I told him I had a question and feedback about our order. I asked if the signature house salad was still supposed to have white meat and he said "hold on". Then he came back on after about 1 minute and said yeah it's white meat. I told him we just got 2 salads to go and that they were not white meat, very fatty and that we had no dressing with them. After a moment of silence, he said "sorry about that". Then he was silent again. I asked for his name and he said it was Jacob. Nothing was offered to make the situation right, no refund, no new salad, no explanation of why it wasn't as advertised. Grilled Meat is Very Neat! I actually really like this location. The people here are most accommodating. I have been here a few times where my little one and I and sat for hours doing her homework after ordering one of the kids meals. All the workers here that I have come across are very nice. The shop is very clean and always kept tidy. There is also very easy parking. These are the unique characteristics of this business. Like every other Waba Grill the menu is the same. They offer healthier choices and most plates include meat, chicken, steamed vegetables and rice. There is no MSG or other additives. What attracted me to this place? The nostalgic aroma that takes me back to when I live in Japan. I was stationed at Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni in Iwakuni Shi (岩国市). I absolutely love Waba and have never had a bad experience there, until today. I placed an order on their app for pickup. Unforeseen things happened at home and I was unable to pick up my order. I called and asked if it could be switched to delivery or if it could be cancelled. The girl on the phone told me that she couldn't make any changes to the order because the manager wasn't there. She told me that I could come pick it up later, and when I asked if it would be the same food that had already been sitting for 30 minutes, she replied with "uhhhh... yah". Went to get dinner for my family and it was 7:27 pm a lady walked in front of us and went to counter then walked out. The guy says did you hear what I told her well no what. Went to this location after receiving a promotional coupon. We arrived in the middle of a lunch rush and there were plenty of customers here (a good sign). The line went quickly and orders were being delivered as quickly. The girl who took our order was very pleasant and professional; she also happened to be the one to place our lunch on a tray and pass it to me. I was very disappointed with my food recently. Normally we live WaBa Grill, not last visit. The portion in the regular steak bowl was soooo skimpy. The Niels used to be full. I also ordered their value meal which includes a mini bowl a value side and small drink. Their soda machine is out of order so they told me to pick a drink from the cooler, which they wanted to charge me an extra $2.00 for. Not my fault that the Aida machine out if order. Highly dissatisfied with how I was treated when picking up my order that I had called in. I was told my order would be ready in 15 mins after calling it in. I arrive to pick up my order and they have no record of it. The girl is clueless that I had even called. Who I think was the manager comes over and tell me that I called the wrong store when I know for a fact I called the right one. He never apologized to me for the miscommunication and proceeded to talk to his employee in a un respectful way to just start my order again.
