Just had a horrible experience at this location. My wife and I decided to go to Waffle House for dinner since I got off work a little early today. Waffle House has always been one of those places we love to go to for a change of pace, great service, and tasty greasy food! Well tonight, we weren't able to even try the food at this location due to how horrible the service was on the front end. When entering we received the typical "Welcome to Waffle House" greeting. We seated ourselves at a booth, and a waiter promptly came over to give us a menu. He didn't take our drink order, just simply stated the other server would be over to take our order. Keep in mind there were only three other tables with people at them, so the place was practically empty. On staff there was a cook and two servers. We waited 12 minutes and still not even a drink order was taken! A waiter then went to the table behind us to take their food order (who were obviously there longer than us). The one girl then asked "Why is this taking so long?" At that point I lost hope & my patience and chose to leave. Who knows how much longer it would have been for us to simply get our drinks.... I will not be revisiting this location. Instead, I'll drive an extra 10-15 miles to the one on Barker Cypress & 529. At least we know the servers there care about their patrons! read more

My wife and I were up late one night and got the urge to try out the Waffle House that recently opened in the area. Location: it is tucked behind the Buccee's off 290 and Mueshke. It is your typical Waffle House set up. Service: it was great. Our waitress was very nice and attentive without being bothersome. The Food: we both had the waffles with eggs and breakfast meat. The Waffle and eggs were perfect. The bacon was too this and kinda meh. The sausage was great. Waffle Houston is great and a welcome addition to the neighborhood. read more

I walked in the Waffle House and there was a couple at the bar and four men at the bar and five elderly people sitting at a table. There were ZERO employees in the building. They were all outside smoking or whatever they do outside. The female cook yelled and cursed at me and another customer for walking behind the counter to see if they were robbed and perhaps dead or injured laying in the back room. This after we waited for ten minutes to see if an employee would show up front. All customers left. Never to return again! read more

Having heard reviews from others I looked up the reviews online. I was not excited about coming in to try this place out for the first time. That all changed the moment I stepped in the door. The staff were all very friendly, the food (and the variety of additional choices) was pleasantly surprising, and it was very affordable. The only thing I could complain about would be that it was very cold in there...but then I'm a fan of the 100 degree Texas heat. read more

This place seriously need better management. I placed a Togo order on a Sunday @ 3pm. Was placed on hold for over 5 mins. Came to pick up the food @ 3:40pm and my order wasn't done. Nor was it even started on. They didn't give a crap about it either..The place was not pack maybe had 5 tables. I'm pretty sure they didn't all came at the same time. I visit this location maybe three times or so & the employees are sitting there playing or talking on their phone. Others are standing around looking as if they are busy doing other things. Contact corporate and haven't heard from anyone yet. Next time I will order from the one down my street vs one down my workplace. read more

Had an amazing experience during thanksgiving break we sat up at the counter with a pull high chair for a child. The food was amazing quick fast and super friendly. Our baby loved the waitress. We had classic Waffle House plate with chunked and cover hash brown. Amazing! read more

There was only one employee there when I sat down and she just stared at me and never came to help,me so I walked off. The previous time I came here the food was not cooked good. About a month ago the district manager was in. I was pleasantly surprised to hear her great us, watch her clean off tables as well as sweep, and keep the staff motivated. Music was playing, the food was made well, all employees spoke, and people were in and out of there. Far different from my frequent stops at this Waffle House. Was looking forward to trying Waffle House as I've never been there before. I walked in with my family early in the morning to eat breakfast. We stood there a minute or so, not sure if we were supposed to seat ourselves and finally walked over to talk to the cashier. We were told, "you'll have to wait awhile". Only about half of the tables were full so we asked what she meant. She said "well, I have 3 tables waiting for their food right now so you'll have to wait awhile" We asked "so you're running behind?" She said "no" and did not offer to seat us. We had no choice but to leave since it was obvious we were not going to be served. When we got into the car my kids said "that was the weird, why did they do that?" Needless to say I can't tell you what I thought of the food since I was not served but I can tell you that I would not recommend them at all based on their service. read more

They stepped up their game since first opening. Cleaner and better service all around. I recommend it if you like Waffle House.

A few months ago this place use to be my favorite. Now everytime i come it seems like their under staffed, my chicken sandwich never cooked all the way through. Wouldn't suggest this location. read more

For many years, I've taken my two granddaughters to the Waffle House on FM 529, Cypress. They moved, so I took them to the one at 14201 Mueschke Road, Cypress, TX. BIG mistake!!! Out of three times, two have been a nightmare. Rude staff, was overcharged, staff yelling when talking to each other, to the point of scaring my girls (6 & 8 years old); when I made the cashier aware of the effect her aggressive behavior and yelling had on my girls, her response was to overcharge me and smirk. Of course, no more Waffle House for us. read more

WORST WAFFLE HOUSE IVE BEEN TO! Staff is loud,they argue, vulgar, they dont check their tables. They dont cook their food & they will serve it COLD! Or with egg shells in your eggs. They forget items you've ordered or they might even mix your waffles when you specifically say "one pecan waffle and one chocolate chip waffle" on top of that you say it 4 times! Ridiculous!! On too of that ON CHRISTMAS DAY there were 4 cops outside to find out that two cooks got into a pyshical fight, that had to be broken up. Super messy and you never know who is in charge! Awesome food awesome service. these people working there are a well oil machine. we got there and of course they are super busy. right away the manager said thank you for choosing our restaurant for your breakfast. we are busier than other restaurants so the wait will be about 10-15 minutes are you ok with that. of course ill wait. not even 5 minutes they had a table ready for us . once we got to our table, the super service continuous with all the staff working to satisfied every customer in the building. had about 2-3 servers checking to see we needed drinks,and bringing our food. the food was great,and fresh.very fast and friendly service. i will be back for more read more

Key to any Waffle House, and the Cypress location is no exception, is accepting it for what it is and what it is not. Waffle House is good, fast, affordable comfort food in a very casual setting. Nothing fancy about this place, but great waffles, several varieties of hash browns, bacon and eggs, will fill you up without breaking the bank. Terrific coffee rounds out the meal. If you are looking for fancy, there are better options. But if you want a tasty breakfast, fast and cheap, you can't go wrong here. read more

I was surprised and saddened by the service at this new location. I have eaten at waffle house most of my life in many different states. Being a Georgia native I am always so proud when a waffle house pops up in another state. This store is horribly mismanaged. Cold grits? How was that even possible? No coffee refills? Who puts the stem end of a tomato on a sandwich? Not one coke refill! There were more employees than customers but I and another table were completely ignored. When the waiter brought my credit card receipt he did not leave a pen so I could sign it. I finally went out to speak to the night manager and he nor the cold grits cook bothered to keep their cigarettes out of my face. I left a $5.00 tip for the young man that provided the horrible service because I assume he too was having a bad night. I am not a complainer BUT I HAVE NEVER HAD A WORST SERVICE EXPERIENCE. EVER! I am aware of the staff shortage in the Houston area,but such poor management will ruin a group of good employees. Two smoke breaks in forty minutes and no attention to the customers or store will not serve the brand well. My friends and I went to the new Waffle House near Huffmeister Rd. In Cypress Texas for lunch. I remember the old Waffle Houses where I had eaten and recommended Bacon, Lettuce and tomato sandwiches. We ordered and received a skimpy sandwich. Lots of bacon on small bread which was sliced. I looked for the tomato and finally found the little slice and my friend kindly requested more tomato since she felt the tiny slice served was unacceptable. The waitress heaved a sigh and said "well I'll have to go slice you another . We were charged $2.00 for the extra tomato slices. Then we were asked if we wanted hash browns or fried and we said hash browns. We thought it came with the sandwich. No! That's was a lot extra. We asked for Mayo and the waitress brought 3 small pkgs of Mayo. I asked for some as well so she reached over and took my friend's mayo and slammed one near me and said, "ok, now you have some." By this time we were trying not to laugh hysterically. I've left the part about the lettuce out. We had tiny, skimpy, uh bacon and bread sandwiches (oh yeah later with tomatoes). But the entertainment was priceless. Will we eat there again. I don't think so. The sliced tomatoes are too expensive. read more

Racist or just rude ? Not quite sure , but just left this location . The waitress seated us , took our drink order ... And never came back. White family comes in , is seated , drinks ordered , drinks served ... Still no service. There were not busy . There were only two other booths occupied and they had already been served. So what gives? Its cool. Didnt complain ...didnt want my food spit in. The waitress was an older white woman , named Lynn . Looked at me like I ran over her dog. The young girl who greeted us was polite. Yeah piss poor service . The whole time we waited she kept glancing at us . So it was quite obvious she didnt want to serve us. Your location is hard to find, hidden behind Bucees . At 5:40 in the evening on a Saturday it was practically deserted ... You wont be open long if you continue to employ racist , rude people.
