Date: 9/21/2018 Time: 11:00 AM 68° Partly sunny My sister and I are heading to SF Chinatown to purchase moon cakes for the Autumn Harvest Moon Celebration (Chinese lunar calendar, August 15, which falls on September 24 this year). Since we are walking from the Powell Street BART Station to our destination and return by foot to the Montgomery Street BART, I need a bottle of water for hydration. Thus, a stop is necessary at this Walgreen's. Wow...I am totally impressed and somewhat in awe. It's not like the typical Walgreen's that I see in Alameda and Downtown Oakland. I never knew Walgreen's could do it up like this one. It's a two story one. Ai yah, I have Walgreen's on Powell Street envy. It is upscale and very clean. Ha! I can't say too much about what is on the outside of this Walgreen's, but the inside is a sight to see. Fresh pre-made sandwiches and panini's, bottles of wines on shelves or in refrigerators, fresh salads, assorted wraps, desserts, snacks and candy. Because I was in there for about 10 minutes, and did not have the time to browse, a return visit is a must, so I can see what is waiting for me on the second floor. Drawback: Street parking nearby is slim or none. Public transportation is recommended - BART or Muni.

Beautifully newly remodeled Walgreens. I love the layout. I also really love the screens on the refrigerator doors; however, I'm torn on whether that actually saves energy or waste energy.

This place saved my life! Thank you for having the Covid home test kit. You saved me from not seeing my friends and family this holiday. You think it's hopeless to find something or anything. Come to this Walgreens ;) you won't regret it!

Anybody who knows me knows I'm a gummy addict. Thinking this Walgreens would have a better selection of gummies, I decided to drop by on Friday, January 20th around 2pm. This Walgreens is a lot nicer than the other ones in the area. They have a huge prepared food section, a large variety of cosmetics, etc. (I believe they even have a frozen yogurt or soft serve machine. And a sandwich making counter? I vaguely remember walking by a section where you could order food.) But I was here for candy, so I went straight to the candy aisle. I spent some time in aisle looking at their selection. They only had a few choices and I really wanted some regular gummies and sour ones, so I decided to grab a big bag of Haribo Gold Bears, Starburst Gummies Sour, and a box of Sour Skittles. When I got in line, I realized they have all their smaller bags by the register. Since I was already in line, I just decided to stick to my choices. A few days later, I found out Walgreens was having a sale on Haribo candy. Buy one, get one free. What?! I had to go and check it out. Unfortunately, this location was not taking part in the sale. I was disappointed since they have such a great selection. But I do remember seeing Ruffles on sale the week before at another location and they weren't on sale here when I went the week prior. This is a great Walgreens if you don't care about sales. It's huge and has more to offer than the other locations. 4 stars overall, but minus one for not taking part in their normal sales.

Best Walgreens I've ever been. Need some hosiery? Need some makeup? Need some San Francisco souvenirs? Need some coffee? Need some frozen yogurt? Yes, they have frozen yogurt w/ a small toppings bar, too! Hungry? Need a pastry? Need a cupcake or a slice of cake? Need a salad? Need a sandwich? Need some Hazelnut Kit Kat? Need to rent a movie from Red Box? Need a place to eat or drink your beverage? Need some ethnic snacks? Too bad I don't live in San Francisco. The security guard was in a suit. Looks like an FBI agent. Bad ass.

Great service and helpful staff, but their security officer on deck (The Kingdom Group) needs to do his job and not be on his phone unless it your break time. If the bad guys gets a drop on you people might get seriously hurt or even a lost of lives. Do your job and please be professional, you are giving the industry a bad name. But with that being said, thank you to all the First Responders, and officers who put their life on the line every day to keep us safe!

This is by far the nicest Walgreens I have EVER been to- and I worked for Walgreens off and on throughout my years. This store is clean and the staff is super helpful. There are two stories with escalators for ease. Downstairs you can find all your perishables, drinks, foods, and even sushi (yes, sushi- we got one roll and it was pretty decent). Getting ready for a night out we went upstairs to the beauty dept- we were approached by a staff member, I want to say her name was Danielle - she was amazing! Her energy was great and her willingness to help us find what we needed (Eyelashes) was efficient. She provided us with stellar customer service and we were in and out of there in a flash. We will go back to this location any time that we are in the area and I can say that with much confidence.

Pathetic still and probably always…read more It's a terrible program if you need to have any kind of portability in a photo database. There is no easy way to move a database or part of the database from one computer to another. The customer service is unbelievably insulting and bad. Sometimes they do reply, but better they don't. They do not deserve your patronage. The following email passes for product support. The entire thread isn't available, but 5 days prior my friend had followed directions to try a third party fix. The reply email is wrong, that the fix had been tried and that it did not work had been communicated to Cerious. Their initial response? All questions had been answered and they were closing the ticket; somehow the problem had to have been caused by a party other than Cerious. That pathetic response was addressed below in the original message. That was the extent of insult to the person providing support, Laura Shook. That it was pathetic. Their reply bemoaned some fantasy of non cooperation: -----Reply Message----- This is Phillip, developer of ThumbsPlus. First Adam and then Laura provided correct and polite answers every time in this case, and you replied each time by denying what was clearly said and being obnoxious and rude. I have no idea why you refused to do what you were told would correct the problem that Laura correctly identified as being with MICROSOFT'S Windows Installer database or MSI cache on your system. Laura was also perfectly correct about having nothing to do with version 8. Version 9 uses a completely different Windows Installer product code, and installs and runs completely independently from version 8. In the screen shot which YOU provided, and which I have attached again here, it's crystal clear that there is a problem locating the .MSI file from version 9 (NINE) SP1. I even enlarged and colorized the relevant information from the error message for you. So please follow the initial instructions, quoted below for your convenience. After you remove ThumbsPlus 9 using this tool, you should be able to install the latest build. If it doesn't work, let us know and we will investigate further. --- An easier way has been reported to me from other users. I now have a link to a newer M$ uninstall/install fix executable. I have not announced this yet on the pages yet but if we continue to get great results we will put a link on our pages to it. This file was created to fix this issue caused by an error in the Windows installer folder on your system. support.microsoft.com/ma... After this, the new installer should operate correctly. --- If you continue to refuse and continue to be a condescending jackass, it will not be possible for anyone here to help you with this problem further. If it's development that I need to speak with, then I should be directed to them, him/her. What a pathetic response. And the implication that your one instruction was not followed only shows that you don't care what I've written. This is consistent with my first encounter with you, pathetic still and probably always.

This quaint little tavern of a spot is a true hidden gem of SF, or at least of Pacific Heights…read more Okay, maybe Lower Pac Heights. Okay maybe it's not actually a gem at all, but rather a pebble that happens to be somewhat shiny. It's a tiny little family-run joint no larger than a 3-bedroom apartment. They don't even have a website! It's barely visible from the street but once you squeeze between a minimart and a salon of some sort and climb up the hidden stairs in this mini-alley, you'll find yourself on your way to the adventure of a lifetime. Once up the dingy and disgusting stairs, the impeccably spotless front lobby of the establishment leaves you feeling immaculate from within. All that changes however as you enter the actual Den. This private VIP room has a decor of its own that is a bit disjointed from the rest of the place. The immaculateness seems to end at the door of the den, but the sloppy interior adds a homely feel which I ain't complaining about. Among the oddities of this joint is a random hatch in the wall that opens up to the great outdoors. It is a tiny hatch, barely wide enough to stick an arm though. I am told that it is the remains of an ancient garbage chute that once was. Many people however use it as a convenient means of checking the weather, or so I hear. Musical instruments, such as guitars, abound the area and seem to have been left behind by past inhabitants. If you go to the back, you can open up a strange closet, only to find a random light deep within its bowels that can be turned on from the outside. There are beds to lie down on. With no official "hours", the Lobster's Den is always open as a chill hangout and party spot, unless the owner is away. There's often drinking that occurs, but mostly I have seen people either studying there or sleeping, oddly enough. I used to always see this one cute little Indian number in there. Actually she's the only reason I would go there, to tell you the truth. This hottie was always there, so you single guys out there should definitely check this place (her) out, especially if a little spicy Indian flavor's your thing. Now if that doesn't scream Local Flavor, I don't know what does. The other day, Samir and I were hanging out there at 3am, just kicking it with her. And that was when we found out that she's the owner! She gave us the grand tour. Grand old time indeed. The only reason I give it 3 stars is the emptiness of this place. This owner chiquita's practically the only person that's ever there. I mean I don't really mind that all that much, but still! A little new blood wouldn't hurt. Although once I did see a tall manager in there. No one really knows about this place, and it's no wonder. They don't even have a website! I mean come on! In this day and age! No wonder I'm the first person to Yelp it. The sexy mama was telling us, however, that they may shift their location in another couple months. So maybe they're holding out for that. Hopefully the new one will be better publicized. And hopefully there will be more chicks there.

Their wash is ALWAYS inconsistent, one wash might good and the other times, 80% of the time the car is poorly washed all around, I would have to clean up the car myself after their service. THIS time is was my absolute final time to ever take my car here. They cracked my windshield during the wash , they didn't call me when this happened, instead the staff that washed my car today completely acted like it wasn't them, acted like nothing happened and hoping I would NOT notice a HUGE crack in my windshield that on my 100k car. Beyond frustrating and aggravating how the staff handled it, they made me fill out a "claim" form that looks like it came from a public library typed by a 1st grader . I wasn't giving a solution or any resolutions, all they said we will contact you when we "know more". I asked to see the cameras, which of course they didn't show. Instead they tried to feed me a possibility this might have happened else where, but it didn't, the car was perfectly fine before this wash. If you have a valuable expensive vehicle DO NOT take your car here! I assure you it's not worth your money or the possibility of them damaging the exterior of the car. Anyone who needs a car wash referral I will be happy to provide it! I would give this place a -5 * if I could. Charging people absurd amount of money for half ass job, for inconsistent washes, very possible damage that might occur is absolutely shameless.
