Picked up some bikes this weekend! One of the bikes I ordered online and it was a fast easy process. The other bike I bought while we were at the store. The salesman was super helpful and even offered to walk our bike to the front but we were ok walking it ourself. Bike registration is a mandatory $15 at the time of purchase, I wasn't aware of this. This review is for curbside pick up. Tried it for the first time here. Really liked it. They had 10 clearly marked stalks for pick up. The pick up is located on the side of Walmart closet to Kuala St. So best to enter at the main traffic light intersection entrance then make first the right and head toward the furthest stalls against the building which is clearly marked for curbside pick up. Friendly service. You go on app to check in when you are in your way. Then as soon as you pull up a screen pops up asking what is your stall# and color of your vehicle. There was an issue with my order as it had some substitutions, but the young woman helping was very courteous and thanked us for waiting. Since this is the less crowded side of the parking lot the wait was no problem. We appreciate all the businesses trying to adjust and keep us all safe. Thank you Walmart! read more

Why in the world would I be able to buy online and pickup instore for one price but they won't price match from their own App? Literally a $20 price difference from online to instore. Why the discrepancy? Looked it up on Walmart web site and it does say they do not price match in Alaska and Hawaii. Went to Walmart on 8/1/2022 around noon.. Got $400 plus of grocery and school supplies.. Got home after 1.5 hour drive and notice Cheese was moldy and was rung up for things twice that just got one of.. Called and no answer.. Call 2 more times and was told after several transfers they would not do anything over phone.. Gas is $5.59/gallon so the drive there and back would not be worth the return.. Sia sucks at her job. Shes wearing a tag that says "happy to help" that is so wrong because its not true I did a return with receipt. I told her the spray bottle doesnt spray since i bought it. Sia said "its only 4 dollars. Why do you want to return it?" I said "i dont care if its $1, walmart sold me a product that doesnt work so im here and want the one that works regaurdless of the price" That was a couple weeks ago. Yesterday i went for a return with sia again. I didnt have the receipt. She said she would only exchange for the same department and if theres a price difference i have to pay the difference. Which this is the first time i heard this because usually i get store credit with no receipt. So i did my shopping and came back with an $18 product and my item i think was $5. She said "are you sure you want to return this? Its only $5 and this is $18" i said "you told me that you would exchange this product in the same department and i pay the difference. Heres something from the same dept and i am willing to pay the difference. You dont want to do that anymore?" She didnt say anything and did my return. I had just seen 6 workers in the area inside by the pickup orders place with their masks down eating snacks. All together,not 6 feet apart. In times like this I think everyone had to do their part for safety but I guess maybe Walmart has their own rules for employees during Covid-19. I wish they had better safety precautions in place. I'm giving Walmart 3 stars for the merchandise they carry & reasonable price. Other than that, I prefer not to shop at Walmart. All the times I've shop at Walmart, I can truly say that I never had a descent service or even an acknowledgment shopping there. If I compare Walmart to target, target store is a quality store all around including service and merchandise. And is it just me or Walmart attracts many interesting people? For all your COVID-19 lockdown needs go to Bryan. This guy manages to help me out while he was stocking inventory. My family and I spent the day tracking down low priced bikes at different Walmart and previously went to the Pearl City location before Bryan helped us. I was frustrated that one of the bikes on my first visit at the Pearl City location was already bought. Bryan actually took effort to check in inventory and found the same bike I wanted was still in stock but needed to be assembled. Before having him put the request on hold for that bike, Bryan was able to help out other customers track down items. He took the time to answer our needs as customers and never rushed anybody on their requests. To cut things short, I found a road bike I really wanted at the Honolulu location. To my surprise during the purchase, Bryan actually called me back when he ask for information when the bike was assembled. This guy does things above and beyond to make sure your service and buying experience is satisfactory. Wishing the brother could've made commission off all those people he helped out with, definitely recommend him for help! read more

Please shut down your live fish department like so many other Walmart's have. The fish are suffering and it makes business look like they don't know what they are doing or even care. This is something that needs to be brought up in Managers/Staff meetings. *Please power wash the entrance areas to the store, it's black and has a strong oder. The parking lot should be maintained daily picking up trash. And the smoking area is very dirty. Look at the walls. Use your workers that grab carts, I've seen more than one grabbing carts while using the automated machine. It only takes one person. Not two, while they stand and talk. This makes management look bad for not keeping the area clean. read more

I live in town, but rather come here if im in the area. 3stars For the experience I have ever had today in this location. I bought 2-3pack sealed pie pan tin foils. I noticed my total was a little high than what I expected. The cashier offered walmart credit card, if I wanted to sign up. You get a discount or something and also able to pay your purchase. Umm...I can afford my things, I was just surprised why it was a little more, so I put my cash away and used my debit card. I just felt she thought I was 'broke'! Leaving the checkout, I checked my receipt before leaving the store (good thing I always do that). I realized she charged me 6 TIMES on the pie pan tin foils, when I only bought 2 3pack of them, & its sealed. I was wondering why she was scanning it 3x each, i thought their was an error. I then go to her to verify. She said 'you gotta go customer service'. She didnt give me an attitude but wasnt really pleasant about it, but she could of atleast say sorry! Its like it wasnt a big deal to her! She is an old lady, but not an excuse. You are a cashier dealing w/customers money! This could also ruin the stores inventory. Luckily the customer service wasnt busy, but still, it was a waste of time! So either go to self checkout or check your reciept before leaving the store! read more

If you need it cheap, its Walmart. So I rarely go to Walmart. The reason is because there are all these people just randomly looking at things and the staff is like night and day. Half the staff is friendly and the other half show no personality. Really just test my theory, talk to 5 different Walmart staffers and see the responses you get. It's goes from; "why it's over there." to the "it's over there!!!" Anyway I just went inside because I had time to waste so what better place then here besides I was going to get gas at the Sams club gas lanes. You can lose track of time looking at things and the place is layed out like all the other super Walmart. I do like the store's brand bread. It's soft and a little sweet. Prices are high on a couple of things around the store but there are bargains. Electronics are somewhat a bargain but never get the dvd. They are priced way too high along with tools. Overall three stars. Parking great, products plentiful and cheap if you spend time comparing products against each other, and staff so so. She also helped my grandson with his iphone...since I know nothing about it...and was able to show him some tricks so to speak. I appreciate the selection at this store compared to the Downtown one. HAWAIIAN CHOCOLATE + MACADAMIA NUTS For many yrs my local friends would take me to Walmart to buy my gifts instead of buying them at the over priced stores. I'd laugh and be kind "at Walmart" but through the yrs it's always a go-to stop before getting on a plane to go back to the mainland. Walmart was the secret on the island to buy the Hawaiian Host chocolate and Mauna Loa Macadamia Nuts for much cheaper price. Someone exposed it all... EVERYONE IS GOING TO WALMART NOW!!! After a few visits to the Walmart in Honolulu I gave up because they would quickly sell out. All the tourist from Waikiki are going their to raid the shelves. I decided to go to Pearl City's Walmart (away from the tourist) and have found aisles full of goodies + MORE!!! Hawaiian Host Alohamac are my favorites. Chocolate with macadamia nuts. The more expensive the box the bigger the mac nut. They even sold 4oz size boxes (8 pieces) which is half of the large box, more affordable and easier to distribute to friends on the mainland. Moana Loa Macadamia Nuts are probably one of the highest sellers. To the point of having to see a clerk for the item because they only put "sample displays" out. I was able to find a box of tiny itty bitty size packages to distribute for gifts for my friends on the mainland. Haupia Mix - I couldn't find this in the Walmart in Honolulu not the Targets in Honolulu and Kailua but I did find them in Pearl City and Kapolei. This will be my go-to Walmart to buy my gifts!!! More selection, no lines!!! read more

I love coming to walmart but ever since Ive been on crunches due to an accident I cant walk to long. ive realized alot of places doesnt really care If they are out of those electric carts. When i entered they had 5 but 4 of them was out of order. The 1 that "suppose" to work that was charging wasnt working & I asked the guy "CLIF" (who was checking people receipts) if its broken too & his reply was a little laugh & said "i don't know" & continued checking receipts. Who doesn't love Walmart? I usually come to Walmart for miscellaneous needs or when I'm looking for a cheap buy. I recently came for a sweater and Christmas items in order to make an ugly sweater. They have a very large Christmas selection. They even have small stocking stuffer items for around $1 and they even have gift kits. I was able to get a bath bomb making kit for around $14. I was also able to get adorable stocking stuffers like a cupcake bath bomb for around $3. Great gift ideas! The staff aren't necessarily easily accessible and you often have to look for them if you need something. I sometimes feel like I walk aimlessly around the store looking for an item. They sometimes put it in places that you wouldn't necessarily expect it to be. It can get a little crazy when it comes to checking out, but there's always a lot of people there, so it is understandable. You can find anything that you need at Walmart! read more

I don't usually like to go to Walmart nearly as much anymore due to lack of customer service and the fact that I can't usually find the things that I really need or want. Also dealing with large crowds and parking issues are other reasons as well. And the products that Walmart puts out aren't really that great in quality. I'd rather spend a little more and get a better value with places like Target instead. As for this Pearl City location, it's huge and has lots of departments and checkout lanes, including the self-checkout ones. Always enjoy coming to Walmart for they have many products I need all in one spot rather than traveling from one store to another. For those buying stuff for their car like oil and coolant, this place has it all. Plenty of household goods. Various clothes for a cheap price. Plenty of items for babies. Good variety of food. A McDonald's which have been revamped inside. Food at McDonald's always made correctly and provided hot upon order. Bathrooms both front of the store and at the back by the baby and electronic sections. Open 24/7 so I can come here whenever I need something at a late hour. Plenty of parking. No complaints really. My only complaints are: some of the workers at McDonald's can be slightly rude especially near closing hours. The smell of the bathroom at the front area is rather unpleasant and untidy. I often run to the back one regardless of how bad I might need to use the bathroom. The place was quite difficult to navigate through when they were changing as to where things were being moved to and such. Wish there was one closer to home (Aiea) so driving to Pearl City is only as needed. Overall, still worth coming back to for what they offer in comparison to other places. read more

Let's be real . . . All Walmarts are NOT the same. Yes you can find the same things in the store but it's the customer service that makes the difference and this store went definitely has the aloha spirit! So I sometimes have a tendency of over looking items so I'm always asking for help and some folks are more willing to help than others. My experience at this store has been awesome. On my last visit I was looking for some macadamia nut brittle and I couldn't find it. The lady could see I was searching and asked me if she could assist me. She looked and didn't find it and then offered to go to the back to look. She came back and said she didn't see it and had called someone who told her it had been discontinued. I carried on with my shopping and then heard an announcement "the lady who was looking for the macadamia brittle please return to the aisle" - we proceeded back and she had found some! They have more than enough cashiers so the lines are not long and compared to other places the prices are reasonable. If you don't have the Walmart app I suggest it as you can scan your receipt and if the item is cheaper elsewhere you get the difference back! I've gotten over $30 back so far! read more

I love Walmart app and grab and go service. Fruits are picked to perfection of course can't blame if shipment of fruits sucks in general but hey so far so good. They know how to pick the strawberries blueberries and mango and banana. So extremely convenient professional staff and easy. They know when you arrive and they know how to pack your stuff directly into your truck. Just leave your recycled bags and you're good to go. Update 3/10/19 My brother just bought one of those 10 sleeper tents. He took it to their camping grounds and opened it to find a bunch of rocks and trash stuffed into the bag it came in. He tried to take it back and they told him that he couldn't exchange it!!! He said he can't exchange cause he doesn't have the tent to exchange... He's gonna try call and talk to a manager tomorrow. I understand you can't prove that he didn't take the tent and try to return a bag of rocks but if he was trying to do that, then wouldn't you just not tell the worker that it was filled with rocks when you try to return it like the previous person did?!? He spent $100 on this tent bag full of rocks that Walmart... Tried to return a light switch I got cause it was the wrong type. I already threw away the receipt but I've never ever had a problem exchanging items and getting store credit. They lady told me it had to be same or similar item to do an exchange without a receipt. I went and got the correct switch but it happened to be only $3 compared to the $15 wrong one. So I was told it had to be the same price or more expensive. The wrong switch I got is the most expensive switch they have so it isn't even possible for me to get one that costs more that is the same type of item. So after my last review, I was contacted by one of the managers at the store and they sorted everything out. Walmart has made it easier to do returns now, so since my last review I have not had any issues. I just use their Walmart app to pay or scan my receipts and it keeps ALL my receipts for me. So should I have an issue and need to return a food item in the future, I will always have my receipt. read more

Memorial day 1130am. Found easy parking. McDonald inside had slush specials $1.25 any size; tempted to buy as no line. Looked for memorial day hp laptop sale featured on ABC am. Salesman readily available and very helpful. He showed me laptop section, I will be back. Sales lady was around shoe section and showed me men's water shoes at $10. But I also bought slightly better woman's water shoe at $14. Both looked good to run in pool. Shoe glue & TGif frozen jalapeño cheese poppers: only one left so I felt lucky. I look forward to tasting & reviewing poppers for first time. If good, then I don't have to buy jack box. Overall, walmart pearl city enjoyable with helpful sales staff & cashier & pricing. Not the best place to do your shopping if you don't like crowds during the day or clutter of merchandise at night. I always come here after work to buy juice and almost always the aisles are blocked with pallets. Thankfully everyone but the older women in jewelry are willing to help you find anything you are looking for. I've never had a problem with anyone that works here except for today SMH. They weren't even willing to check for me. They got McDonald's and they are pretty cheap and open almost always. I have seen them closed a few times late at night. Self check out by the entrance or stand in them lines. Tobacco products are at registers 13/14. Usually, there is a long line at those registers though. I've been able to find everything I've looked for except for today. Just avoid the help older ladies if you are looking for something. read more

We ordered online for delivery and this was the location that sent out our stuff. Delivery was supposed to be between 8-9am but wasn't at all. 20 mins after 9am we received a text saying it would arrive at 9:39am without proper warning of a delay on our order. Then said order was supposed to be delivered by DoorDash. The driver comes to the location calls with a blocked number and doesn't wait for a individual to actually answer. Someones goes to meet the driver but the driver has already decided to leave without any warning. Completely unacceptable. Then we can't even get the delivery sent back out. WalMart in Pearl City. Walking distance to my mom's apartment. Walking distance to the Pearl Highlands Center. Walking distance to another shopping center that has TJ MAXX and Longs. Whenever I am in Pearl City spending time with my mother we have a habit of heading to WalMart to browse the many aisles of merchandises. My most recent visit May 27, 2015 I was on the lookout for some new work pants. I found some nice looking pants but they were way too big for me. I'd have to be at least an XL or XXL waist in order to fit those pants. I told my mother "I'll have to go to a different store for the type of pants I'm looking for or I may just have to order my pants online." We still ended up browsing the many aisles. At one point my mother was looking at the umbrellas. She tested couple of the umbrellas. The first umbrella which was brown ended up being broken. The second umbrella which was black worked perfectly. My mom tells me "I want this umbrella." We continue to browse around until we got to the sunglasses section. I was trying out a few of the sunglasses. Some were to uncomfortable to me. I settled for a sunglass with rainbow zebra stripes as the frames. I tried it on and asked my mom "How do I look?" She says "You look good." After selecting the Panama Jacks sunglasses we continued to walk towards the mens section. I was looking to see if I could find any long sleeve sweatshirts...none whatsoever. My mom ended up looking at the calendar display. I believe she grabbed three different 2016 calendars. Off to the checkout counter. I noticed all the self serve checkouts were all taken. We continued to walk towards Diamond Head until my mother seen a checkout with no line. I asked the employee at the checkout if she was open and she nods her head YES. My mom and I put our merchandises down: 3 calendars, 1 umbrella, and 1 sunglasses. I informed the cashier to put the sunglasses in a separate bag from all the others. I paid for the merchandises via credit card. The cashier was very friendly and efficient. The transaction was done quickly with no problems. My mom and I were out of WalMart as soon as the merchandises were bagged and once I received the sales receipt. read more

Try to return an item with it's receipt bought on feb 26, PC store says it's not in their system and I have to go to the Mililani location where it was purchased. They verified the item number matches and receipt and that it's intact. Now they're saying my size 5 ring is not their normal size that they stock which is 7s only. So on top it all they're now telling me that it must've been resized. What a rip off. Shitty service. Don't buy jewelry from them. Run around and discourtesy to their customers. Now they say to the other location and see of they'll take it. Wtf!!!! Walmart get your shot together. Store manager won't come out to talk so far. Whenever I come to this Walmart there is always a female worker (Filipino, black long hair that's always down) staring at me whenever I am checking out at the self check out. I feel very uncomfortable because Everytime I look back she's always staring at me and it honestly puts me in an awkward position because who would want anyone just staring at them the whole time? The Walmart here is nearest my best friend Anjelly's house so I go here a lot and the selection is better than other Walmart stores I've been to. I can always find everything I need and at reasonable prices. It's always crowded in here but somehow the shelves are always fully stocked. Only downfall is, like most Walmart stores, you can never seem to find an employee willing to help and there are so many people in here that getting around isn't easy.
